Episode 13 starts out with Mr. Yeom Jang Seon sending out a letter to Seo Dongjoo on his way out. Mr. Heo comes back and discovers his wife sitting on the floor of the edge of the bed with the lights off and he was wondering why she was doing that.

Deokhui had the lights off because it was bothering her but there was something else that was really bothering her so Mr. Heo asked her what’s going on. Deokhui was asking her husband if he would be able to kill that child again just in case he’s still alive.

Mr. Heo was more than willing to get rid of that child who might be still alive. Back then Mr. Heo made an attempt to do so for Deokhui but now he would do it for Taeyun because his wife is worried that the kid Dongjoo/Seonghyun might be blocking a good future that’s ahead of Taeyun.

Deokhui and Mr. Heo were hugging each other then Deokhui blurted out the fact that the child is Director Seo. Deokhui was shaking when she was saying this to her husband and Mr. Heo was surprised that Dongjoo even went over to his wife to let it be known regarding his personal story.

Deokhui had no idea that her husband knew everything about Dongjoo and she was surprised to realize that Ildo was aware of Dongjoo’s secret history.

Taeyun texted Dongjoo saying that he wanted to meet with him and told him to meet him in front of the house. Taeyun was in his car when he was texting Dongjoo and as he was done texting Dongjoo he saw his father coming out of the house and heading somewhere.

Yeom Jang Seon arrived at the spot where they were about to carry on the mission and as Mr. Yeom was getting prepared he was thinking about the past when Mr. Heo was telling him about the third surgery he was about to have.

Mr. Yeom blamed it all on Eunnam’s father Yeo Soonho for what happened to Mr. Heo since he thinks that Yeo Soonho was the one who stirred up Chu Kyungwon, Dongjoo’s biological mother.

However, Heo Ildo blamed himself for the accident. Ildo wanted to make it seem as if he was the one who failed to persuade Chu Kyungwon. Yeom Jang explained that there’s no need for him to speak like that since he was the one who shut up Chu Kyungwon and Yeo Soonho.

It was Yeom Jang Seon’s plan to make Heo Ildo into Daesan Group Chairman’s eldest son in law for the mission and not only that Mr. Yeom wanted Heo Ildo to have a son with his wife so they could make him into the chairman of Daesan Group.

Heo Ildo was acting as if he didn’t have enough ambition to take Daesan for himself although Mr. Yeom tried to convince him that he was tempted to take Daesan to make his ambition come true. It was Yeom who somehow got Chairman Cha to accept Ildo into the family so he can eat Daesan bit by bit.

Dongjoo was listening to an old mp3 recording of Yeom Jang Seon’s conversation with Heo Ildo. The two were talking about the dead body of Kyungwon’s child. Mr. Yeom was saying that maybe the wild animals might have carried the dead body of the child somewhere.

Dongjoo was listening to the old recording from way back in the day between Mr. Yeom and Mr. Heo. Mr. Yeom told Mr. Heo that they are in this together for the future of the country.

Mr. Yeom’s boss was telling him that he went a little far with what he did because he wasn’t aware of certain international dealings that were going on like the export CEO in China was exchanging letters and phone calls with a North Korean woman.

Somebody was calling Heo Ildo and he was looking around and of course it was Director Seo/Seo Dongjoo. I didn’t notice this until my fangirl friend told me about this but the computer monitor that Mr. Yeom was looking at had a date on it and it was 11/16/2024. 11/16 or should I say November 16th is Hyungsik’s birthday, it’s so strange how they decided to put an easter egg in there for us to find. 

Hyungsik as Dongjoo looks so darn cool. Dongjoo’s hair and fashion just oozes, I’m a cool man and I think Hyungsik chose this role so he could escape from being that cute boyish character but a cool and manly character since he’s older now.

Dongjoo was walking up towards Mr. Heo but unfortunately he fell to the ground and Ildo used this chance to point the gun to his head. By the way, the jacket that Dongjoo was wearing was the cool leather jacket which made him look cooler to the already cool exterior that he has in this show.

Mr. Yeom was squirming, exhaling, softly laughing while observing the situation through the computer monitor in his car. Dongjoo was laughing like a crazy person even though Ildo pointed the gun towards him. Dongjoo was like, what are you doing, I’m not dead yet … .Then he said, hurry up and shoot me again, father….

Dongjoo called Heo Ildo, father with a crazy look on his face and of course Ildo was super confused cus he was called father by Dongjoo who he’d been wanting to kill for a long time.

While some somber strings were being played in the background, Heo Ildo was walking closer and closer to Dongjoo with crazy eyes which meant that he wasn’t afraid of anything right now. Heo Ildo couldn’t believe what Dongjoo was saying so he said, what? What are you saying? I don’t blame Ildo cus obviously the two have very different memories of their past. Heo Ildo has been thinking that Yeo Soonho was Dongjoo’s father but according to the files that Dongjoo obtained the other day, it said otherwise.

Heo Ildo was thinking that Dongjoo had something up his sleeves but he kept on being consistent about calling him father. Dongjoo was like, hurry up and shoot me father….

Heo Ildo was screaming and asking Dongjoo what he’s up to then with those crazy eyes Dongjoo was screaming, hurry up and kill me already! Dongjoo grabbed onto Ildo’s gun and pointed towards him, right on his forehead too.

Dongjoo managed to snatch the gun away from Ildo and then pointed at him. Unfortunately, Taeyun overheard everything and now he was right in the middle of this fight between the two men, his father and his supposedly half brother.

Dongjoo came super close to Heo Ildo and said, get lost. Dongjoo’s eyes and voice looked and sounded so darn charismatic. 

There were a bunch of men that Cheon sent over to the dock and the men asked Cheon what they should do. Cheon told all the guys to leave the site for some reason. However, Mr. Yeom looked pretty frustrated though. I guess he was upset cus everything didn’t go the way he planned….

After Cheon’s men left the site Dongjoo tossed the gun to the ground after disassembling it. Dongjoo passed out and Taeyun was willing to help him get out while Mr. Heo looked like he didn’t know what to do. 

Mr Yeom was so upset that he decided to run Mr. Heo over but thankfully he moved out of the way in time so he didn’t get hit by Yeom Jang Seon’s car.

Dongjoo was injured, and Taeyun carried him over to his car and used his first aid kit to take care of his wounds for him. However, Dongjoo looked pissed off.Taeyun called his dad to let him know that he found a hospital nearby for Dongjoo and obviously Ildo had something to say to his “younger” son but Taeyun just hung on him before even giving his dad a chance to say anything.

Heo Ildo thought about something all of a sudden and then he decided to look at his phone and he got a text from his friend Kang Sung. What Kang Sung said via text message shocked him because even his friend knew about the fact that Seo Dongjoo was his son.

Bae Wonbae is almost like a guardian angel to Dongjoo cus he seems to be everywhere he goes but the running gag is still going on with his various disguises through different wigs. 

Taeyun brought Dongjoo over to a local clinic and Mr. Bae was there too and for some reason Bae kept on thanking the doctor when it wasn’t necessary for him to do that. Mr. Bae didn’t recognize the doctor at first but realized that they actually know each other.

The doctor told Mr. Bae to take care of his identity and come back to work. The doctor even referred to him as nurse Bae. I’m assuming that Bae used to be a nurse at one point but then he took on various identities to help out Dongjoo when he was in need of help.

Taeyun asked Mr. Bae if Dongjoo Hyung’s okay and Bae said that Dongjoo is fine and if he wasn’t then they would have to take him to a bigger hospital. Since Dongjoo has a gunshot wound they would call the police and it could lead to something bigger which he doesn’t want.

Taeyun told Dongjoo that he heard everything. Dongjoo saw that Taeyun overheard everything so he had to admit to it. Dongjoo was okay with Taeyun overhearing his conversation with Mr. Heo but he told Taeyun not to say that to his father. Dongjoo then said that Mr. Heo wants to be a good dad to Taeyun so if he finds out that Taeyun knows everything it might kill his pride as a father completely.

Taeyun knew how much pain Dongjoo is in right now to the point where his organs were being ripped apart and Dongjoo was thankful that Taeyun was willing to understand where he was coming from. 

It’s so cute to see Dongjoo and Taeyun really interacting since we didn’t get to see much of that in previous episodes of this show since Buried Hearts started. In Dr. Slump Park Hyungsik and Yoon Sang Hyun played comedic characters, especially Yoon as Bada but in Buried Hearts it’s more serious. I love the chemistry between Park Hyungsik and Yoon Sang Hyun in both Dr. Slump and Buried Hearts.

Dongjoo was laying in bed again because he passed out from the gunshot wound. Taeyun was thinking about the conversation he had with Dongjoo when he overheard everything, then he decided to go into Dongjoo’s room to comfort him even if he was sleeping. Taeyun said he won’t ever forget what his father did to Dongjoo. Taeyun grabbed onto Dongjoo’s hand and he slowly opened his eyes from his deep sleep.

As Dongjoo was slowly opening his eyes, he also grabbed onto Taeyun’s hands. Awwww, it’s so sweet that the two brothers held hands! Now, Dongjoo has a real family member or more like family members and that’s Taeyun and Heo Ildo.

Ildo still couldn’t believe that Seo Dongjoo is his son so he decided to go visit his friend Kang Sung. Ildo’s friend told Ildo that Kyungwon’s son Seong Hyeon/Dongjoo is his son. Kang Sung knew that Ildo didn’t want to hear this fact but he had to tell him anyway.

Kang Sung overheard the conversation that Kyungwon was having with Yeo Soonho a long time ago when they were still young. Yeo Soonho was telling Chu Kyungwon that Seong Hyeon was Ildo’s son. However, Kyungwon was too scared to tell Ildo about it because they didn’t want any kids at the time.

Yeo Soonho told Chu Kyungwon that he was going to tell Heo Ildo about it if  she doesn’t make up her mind to tell him. Kyungwon told Soonho to keep still and she promised him to tell Ildo herself because Ildo was not a huge fan of everybody knowing about his personal life.

Yeo Soonho said to Chu Kyungwon that he tried so hard to keep this secret about Seong Hyeon and she has no idea about it. Seong Hyeon had  a stomach ache and wanted his mother to take him to the bathroom so the conversation between Kyungwon and Soonho was cut short.

Kang Sung overheard everything so he asked Yeo Soonho what this was all about. But Soonho told Kang Sung to pretend that he didn’t hear anything. Heo Ildo was angry that Kang Sung didn’t tell him about this a long time ago. Ildo was crying and screaming at Kang Sung for not telling him about Dongjoo being his son but his friend thought that knowing the truth isn’t always the best because ignorance can be a bliss at times.

Kang Sung thought sometimes truth can be painful and that is the case when it involves someone you love. In this case Ildo lost his friend Soonho and also lost his baby mama too and this was Kang Sung’s logic for hiding this fact about Dongjoo being his son for all this time.

Ildo was sobbing like never before after finding out about who Dongjoo really is completely and I don’t think I’d seen Mr. Heo weeping like this before ever since the beginning of Buried Hearts.

Finally, Dongjoo woke up fully but unfortunately he was limping and of course Mr. Bae was there to be his personal cane hehehe…..Dongjoo told Taeyun to go home since he is able take care of the rest with the help of Mr. Bae. However, Taeyun wanted to stay with Dongjoo so he could take care of him but Mr. Bae insisted to Taeyun that he could go home now since he was gonna take care of Dongjoo anyway.

Mr. Heo seemed so lost and I don’t blame him at this point with everything being revealed now. Ildo was revisiting his past when Soonho was alive. Ildo visited Soonho and Soonho was telling Ildo about Deokhui installing the high bars for him to exercise but he wasn’t a huge fan of using it unfortunately.

Soonho was telling Ildo that he might just throw it away when Deokhui wasn’t looking and Ildo said he shouldn’t do that because Deokhui might be the one abandoning him if he does something silly like that.

Ildo came over to ask Soonho a favor and that was hooking up his father’s small dress shirt company with Daesan using the power that Soonho had since he was now the son in law of Daesan Group.

But Soonho couldn’t help his friend out for various reasons and he was saying to Ildo that ever since got married to Deokhui he’s been getting a lot of requests asking him for favors and what not. Soonho’s dad even asked him for a favor to help him sell his land to Daesan but he had to turn it down.

Soonho was telling Ildo that he didn’t want to constantly hear out people’s requests cus if he does it would be difficult for him to be the eldest son in law of Daesan Group.

Ildo felt bad for asking Soonho for a favor but he had no other choice but to ask his best friend for a favor in order for his father’s factory to not close down but unfortunately Soonho couldn’t help him. Ildo did say that he’ll pay him back if Soonho was willing to help him just this one time.

According to Ildo, Soonho knew all about him getting a beating from Prosecutor Yeom and Soonho said that he also was aware about the fact that Ildo put down the names of the boys and girls in their group.

Soonho was married to Deokhui but according to what Ildo was saying, Soonho was sleeping with another woman. Ildo was saying that he’s not interested in Soonho sleeping with someone else outside the home as long as he doesn’t get involved with Ildo’s affairs.

I got the wrong impression of Yeo Soonho, I automatically assumed that he was a pure hearted one woman man but Ildo made it seem as if he was cheating on Deokhui and obviously with Seong Hyeon’s mother Chu Kyungwon. 

We see a flashback of Ildo and Deokui having a chit chat about Yeo Soonho and in these scenes Ildo is telling Deokhui that Soonho was freaking out when Ildo told him about cheating on Deokhui which he completely denied. Deokhui said that Soonho was a very stubborn man. 

I can see why Deokhui hates Seong Hyeon so much and it’s because her husband cheated on her with Chu Kyungwon. Deokhui said she wanted to just die off somewhere with her daughter Eunnam. Man, talk about enemies. So there’s like this strange rectangular relationship going on between Deokhui, Ildo, Soonho and Kyungwon and the only person that’s not a part of this mess in their inner circle is probably Kang Sung.

Deokhui made it seem as if there was no way out except for taking her own life and she was blaming herself for all the drama between everyone. Deokhui also was regretting marrying Soonho and she was thinking that she was being punished for making the wrong decision when they were younger. Deokhui was regretting that she didn’t get married to Ildo instead of Soonho.

Ildo was sitting in his room spaced out and while he was out of it Taeyun came and told him that the surgery went well with Dongjoo. Ildo wanted to have a talk with Taeyun but he didn’t have a chance to do that because he had already left the room by then.

Buried Hearts has a few running gags, one of them is Mr. Bae in disguise to save the day/save Dongjoo from being harmed and another one is giving each other Kopiko candy. Butler Gong was so tired that she was in need of some Kopiko Candy and she was asking Chef Do for some but then he had no idea what she was talking about but luckily his wife knew exactly what the lady butler was looking for. Of course, Butler Gong got what she wanted, Chef Do’s wife had the Kopiko candy all handy. Chef Do’s wife just gave the lady butler the whole thing so now she would be able to have the Kopiko Candy whenever she wants.

They fixed up a bowl of porridge for Chairman Cha but he didn’t eat any of it so they were beginning to worry about him while Dongjoo came out with crutches. My goodness, Hyungsik as Dongjoo looks so hot even using crutches cus of his injury.

Dongjoo wanted to go into Heo Ildo’s room to talk to him so Taeyun took him to his father’s room but Ildo wanted Taeyun to shut and lock the door on his way out. Heo Ildo looked so out of it and Dongjoo looked pretty exhausted too.

Dongjoo came up with an excuse for inviting himself over to Heo Ildo’s room and he blamed it on him not having parental guidance growing up and man that’s gotta hurt Heo Ildo a bit.

Dongjoo was taunting Ildo by calling him father and telling him to hurry up and shoot him already. Mr. Heo was so out of it that he wasn’t even talking while Dongjoo was yapping himself away. 

Dongjoo wanted to give Heo Ildo something but he was saying he’ll just limp his way over there because it was obvious to him that Mr. Heo didn’t really have the energy to go up to him.

What Dongjoo had in his hand was the piece of paper showing the DNA test that was done on him and  obviously the result showed that they were father and son although Ildo fabricated his memory as Yeo Soonho being Dongjoo’s father and that would’ve been horrific cus of Dongjoo’s relationship with Eunnam.

Dongjoo was explaining to Ildo that they used Mr. Heo’s toothbrush for the DNA test. Dongjoo used his deep and sexy voice to let Ildo know that the paper said they’re related as father and son according to the DNA test.

Ildo looked like a mess but he had his bedroom light turned off so it was hard to tell but when Dongjoo turned on the light it was so obvious that Mr. Heo looked unkempt and even Dongjoo couldn’t believe that Mr. Heo looked like a giant mess.

Ildo didn’t want to face Dongjoo so he demanded him to leave but Dongjoo was taunting him again saying that he was worried how he would react if Ildo begs and asks him for forgiveness.

Both Dongjoo and Ildo were thinking back to the past when they all got together in front of the garden. Ildo seemed to regret what he did to some degree because he was saying that he should’ve known about the fact that Dongjoo or rather Seong Hyeon was indeed his son before making an attempt to kill him.

So Dongjoo asked Ildo if he wouldn’t have tried to kill him if he knew that Dongjoo was his son but unfortunately Mr. Heo said he would’ve still tried to kill him even if he knew that he was his son.

Dongjoo couldn’t believe what Ildo was saying but Ildo was saying that as a payment for killing Dongjoo or at least making an attempt to do so helped him become the eldest son in law of Chairman Cha of Daesan Group. Mr. Heo was telling Dongjoo that if he reminded himself of this fact then he would have succeeded in killing off Dongjoo at the vacation spot.

Mr. Heo continued saying that Dongjoo doesn’t have a chance and just cus he was unsuccessful in killing off Dongjoo doesn’t mean that he’s gonna stop now just cus he keeps on calling him daddy.

For Mr. Heo, he already tried to kill his own child in the past so he wouldn’t be able to stop this act now. Ildo was saying that if he succeeded in killing off Dongjoo then he wouldn’t have to deal with Dongjoo trying to set things straight with him and also he would have so much power that he would be controlling the Yeom household by now.

Dongjoo taunts Heo Ildo again that it’s too bad that he tried killing Dongjoo without knowing that it’s his son cus it could’ve been more interesting if he showed him knowing the fact that he’s Heo Ildo’s little boy. Hyungsik’s acting range is becoming wider and wider with each drama. I can’t say that I like Buried Hearts story wise but at least it proved what Hyungsik is capable of.

Ildo looked like he was in grieving mode, I think he was trying really hard not to be a softie in front of his son but deep inside he was hurting. I mean think about it, he crashed into the car his son was in and then shot him with a gun three times.

I think what bothered Heo Ildo the most when he shot his own son when he came to tell him that he is the father. Ildo was trying his best not to cry in front of his child but he ended up crying which I’m able to sympathize with. .

Ildo was in tears crying while telling him how he should apologize and beg for forgiveness for what he’s done and Dongjoo looked pretty teary eyed too. Dongjoo sighed and said it’s up to Ildo to find a way to do that because it’s not up to anybody else to do that.

Dongjoo mentioned that Taeyun is really worried about Ildo because he’s afraid that Mr. Heo might take his own life because of all this. Dongjoo asked Ildo for a favor and that was him not doing anything stupid and making Taeyun say it. However, Ildo was like, why aren’t you expecting me to die while screaming.

Taeyun and Deokhui heard Dongjoo and Ildo’s conversation. Deokhui went into the room while Taeyun remained outside of Ildo’s bedroom. Taeyun was asking Dongjoo if their dad is alright. The interaction between Park Hyungsik and Yoon Sang Hyeon’s characters really makes me sad in this show while they were so goofy in Dr. Slump.

Eunnam came and asked Dongjoo if he’s okay and he said that he’s found enough energy to even drive now so shouldn’t worry about him too much. Eunnam was asking Dongjoo if something happened between him and Mr. Heo. Obviously, Eunnam has no clue about the fact that Mr. Heo is Dongjoo’s real dad. Eunnam said that she was feeling anxious about everything so she couldn’t help but to ask all kinds of questions.

Eunnam said she feels anxious because she feels like Mr. Heo is gonna go after Dongjoo again since he still has Mr. Yeom by his side and all. However, Dongjoo told Eunnam that Mr. Heo is not gonna do that anymore and this made Eunnam confused and she was like what makes you say that? What kind of evidence do you have that Mr. Heo won’t be going after you anymore?

Dongjoo couldn’t tell Eunnam the real reason right now because he felt like it’s not the right time to tell her about his real relationship with Heo Ildo, her step father. Dongjoo asked Eunnam if she would be patient and wait for him to tell her everything because now is the right time to do so. Dongjoo and Eunnam held each other but for some reason Dongjoo still felt distant towards Eunnam and it might be like that until everything gets sorted out. At this point I don’t know if Dongjoo and Eunnam will get a happy ending, they probably might in the last episode but until then it’s gonna be like this.

Mr. Bae went to go look for Jo Yangchoon but he took off and the administrator guy was still there. Mr. Bae called Dongjoo to let him know that Jo Yangchoon went missing but for whatever reason the administrator was still there in the cell. Dongjoo was explaining to Bae that Mr. Jo and the administrator won’t be able to work as a team anymore since they lost the dandelion files and also he was recently abandoned by Mr. Yeom too. Dongjoo told Mr. Bae that they should focus on Mr. Administrator’s recovery.

Jo Yangchoon decided to pay Mr. Yeom a visit  and let him know that the administrator is on Seo Dong Joo’s side now. Mr. Jo fought against Dongjoo till the very end and barely managed to escape while the administrator decided to side with Dongjoo.

Jo Yangchoon begged Mr. Yeom for one last chance and he’ll make sure to finish the job he was assigned properly and as he finished his sentence Mr. Heo appeared.

Deokhui was concerned because she thought that Ildo was gonna kill himself and the way her husband looked worried her so much that she decided to go into the room to check on him but he wasn’t there. Deokhui was really curious about the truth regarding Dongjoo being Heo Ildo’s biological son and when she got the confirmation through the DNA test result she was in for a rude awakening. Dongjoo wasn’t lying cus the paper did indicate that the probability of Heo Ildo being Seo Dongjoo’s father was confirmed.

Deokhui couldn’t believe it because the DNA test result did confirm that Heo Ildo’s genetic code matched up with Seo Dongjoo which established Heo Ildo as Seo Dongjoo’s father biologically.

Deokhui was completely losing her mind and it looked like she was about to literally break and as soon as she saw Secretary Gong she asked her for some water. Secretary Gong was comforting Deokhui and she was trying her best to calm her down after finding out about Heo Ildo and Seo Dongjoo’s biological relationship.

Heo Ildo asked Mr. Yeom if he really meant what he said about him being Dongjoo’s father and Yeom Jang Seon said yes. After hearing the fact that he was indeed Dongjoo’s father from Mr. Yeom, at the same time Dongjoo called him father which he found kinda odd.

Mr. Yeom was surprised that both him and Seo Dongjoo blurted out the truth about Dongjoo being Heo Ildo’s son, Yeom thought it was pretty coincidental.

Heo Ildo asked Mr. Yeom when he found out about Chu Kyungwon’s child being his. Yeom said that he got a call from his secretary Cheon when he told Ildo to shoot Dongjoo, that’s when he found out about it and that’s also the reason why he told Ildo to stop what he’s doing.

Ildo was suspicious about what Yeom’s telling him, I guess he was thinking that Mr. Yeom knew about Dongjoo being his boy even earlier. However, Yeom kept on insisting that’s when he found out about Heo Ildo being Dongjoo’s real father.

Heo Ildo was pretty upset that Yeom made him try to kill his own son several times already and he asked him how much he enjoyed ordering him to kill his own child like that.

Yeom was boasting that he was the one who took Heo Ildo in and raised him up to become  something bigger than someone who stitched together cheap dress shirts at the fabric market. Basically, Yeom was saying that Heo Ildo should thank him for raising him up to become someone great like being one of the candidates who could possibly become the Chairman of Daesan Group.

Yeom was teasing and making fun of Heo Ildo for having remorse about trying to kill his own child. “I killed my son multiple times, it’s so painful so please pity me…” Yeom annoys the heck out of me for saying things like this but I understand though since he is the main villain of this show anyway.

Yeom Jang Seon was constantly brainwashing Heo Ildo to take Daesan but Mr. Heo was done with all this crap so he decided to disconnect himself with Yeom Jang Seon once and for all. Heo Ildo seemed determined to cut Yeom Jang Seon out of his life, and I could totally understand his sentiment.

Yeom couldn’t believe that Heo Ildo wants to cut him off after all this because he thinks that having Daesan all to himself is within reach but wants to cut him off when he’s so close to achieving his goal but I think Heo Ildo is so done with this stupid game of Mr. Yeom. Of course, Mr. Yeom had to remind him that he’s the one who could give Ildo the power and money, nobody would be able to do that for him.

Heo Ildo would rather build Daesan without Mr. Yeom but he wouldn’t mind including Dongjoo to do that with him. Ildo told Yeom that Dongjoo might never forgive him if he asked him to forgive him but if he happens to do that he wouldn’t mind building Daesan with him.

According to Deokhui, Gukhui always wanted to be the CEO of Daesan Energy but Gukhui said that she wouldn’t want to be the CEO of Daesan with a bad situation like this. Gukhui couldn’t understand why Deokhui is trying to kick Ildo out when they hardly ever fight. Deokhui did confirm that she never fights with Ildo so Gukhui wasn’t able to be convinced about her sister trying to kick Ildo out of Daesan.

Deokhui said that Ildo was unfit to be Taeyun’s father which Gukhui was puzzled about and rightfully so cus she has no idea about all this weird drama going on in the background.

Finally, Chairman Cha and Ji Sooyoung appeared along with Dongjoo and Deokhui was looking at them with piercing eyes. I wonder if Deokhui would plan something with Yeom Jang Seon at this point since they both can’t stand Ildo and Dongjoo at this point. Also, I don’t think Deokhui is too happy about Ji Youngsoo as her step mother to be honest.

Chairman Cha and Ji Youngsoo just came back from their honeymoon so that’s why Chairman Cha was asking the family if they took good care of the house. So much was going on while he was gone ironically though.

Ji Youngsoo looked about the same age as Deokhui but she demanded that she call her step mother or mother from now on. Ji Youngsoo also demanded Taeyun and Eunnam to call her grandmother although she doesn’t look old enough to be their grandma.

I think Mr. Yeom might use Ji Youngsoo, Ji Youngsoo’s son and maybe even Deokhui to get back at Ildo and Dongjoo. But we might have to see about that since it’s really hard what Yeom would do at this point even though it’s fairly obvious that Yeom’s main goal is to destroy Seo Dongjoo and now he has a new enemy Heo Ildo.

Eunnam obviously didn’t want to address Ji Youngsoo as her grandma/grandmother since she still doesn’t call Ildo step father or father, she just calls him Mr. Heo or CEO Huh.

Ji Seonwoo was looking so done up now that he is Chairman Cha’s son. Seonwoo asked Dongjoo if his family lives in the house too and looked like an excited little kid but Dongjoo had to discipline him by saying that he should introduce himself properly to the family.

Seonwoo bowed to the family and he thanked Chairman Cha for letting him live in their luxurious house but the young man called the old Mr. Cha, sir instead of father. Ji Youngsoo told her boy to call Chairman Cha father but the old Mr. Cha was okay with Seonwoo just addressing him as sir for now at least. Chairman Cha was okay with Seonwoo addressing him however he likes for now. Chairman Cha was confident in the fact that Seonwoo is indeed his son so he’s not so desperate about being called father by his own son.

Deokhui came closer to Ji Youngsoo after the family members all went to the kitchen to eat dinner to make sure the newcomer understands why she wasn’t so hard on stopping her father marrying her. According to Deokhui she would rather have Ji Youngsoo caged in the house than running wild outside. Deokhui reminded Ji Youngsoo that she’s the one who broke the promise to stay away from their family.

Deokhui has no idea that Yeom made a deal with Ji Youngsoo. Ji Youngsoo was thinking back to the deal she made with Yeom. Youngsoo wanted Yeom to protect her and Seonwoo till the very end. Yeom would have to keep the end of his bargain in order for him to get what he wants out of Daesan through Ji Youngsoo and Cha Seonwoo.

Ji Youngsoo said that he needs Yeom’s support to get into Daesan to keep her end of the bargain with Mr. Yeom so therefore she needs his protection to get the job done. Of course Yeom promised Ji Youngsoo that he will most certainly protect her and her son. As the two made a deal, Mr. Heo came but he didn’t get to hear their conversation so he probably has no idea that Mr. Yeom and Ms. Ji are cooperating with each other behind the scenes.

Mr. Heo looked like he was surprised to see Mr. Yeom and Ms. Ji together and even Ji Youngsoo thought Mr. Heo’s facial expression was a bit strange too.

Mr. Yeom was having a chit chat with Chairman Cha in his office and acting as if he’s so happy for him and Ms. Ji being husband and wife now. Chairman Cha was bragging to Mr. Yeom that Director Seo was the guy who was in charge of their wedding and he made it a success. It’s so crazy how the Chairman has no idea about anything that’s been going on between Yeom, Heo, and Seo.

When Chairman Cha was bragging about Dongjoo helping him with the wedding, Mr. Yeom said that he should be glad to have such a wonderful grandson like him and Chairman Cha looked so puzzled by what Yeom just said.

Chairman Cha chuckled and said he is kinda like a grandson to him since he’ll be his grandson in law cus he’s gonna be marrying Eunnam soon. Then Yeom Jang Seon was like, you haven’t heard about Dongjoo and Ildo? And obviously, the old chairman was clueless about the true relationship between Dongjoo and Ildo.

Mr. Yeom decided to blurt out and told Chairman Cha that Dongjoo was Heo Ildo’s son and just like everybody else, the old chairman looked puzzled and confused too.

Mr. Yeom decided to blurt out the actual relationship between Dongjoo and Ildo to lose favor from Chairman Cha and it’s hard to tell what he would do about these two but he looked really confused and it was so obvious that he couldn’t believe what Mr. Yeom was telling him. The old geezer Yeom tried to make it seem as if Ildo and Dongjoo purposefully hid the truth about their relationship.

Mr. Yeom was trying to make it look as if Dongjoo has a plan to take down Seonwoo by getting close to him, which is so not true. It’s really Mr. Yeom who got close to the Chairman’s new wife purposefully to utilize her and her son to take down Chairman Cha and take Daesan for himself while making Heo Ildo a puppet chairman one day soon.

Chairman Cha had a hard time believing Mr. Yeom and taking him seriously because Dongjoo earned his trust with the Chairman Cha of Daesan and his hunch is so right because Dongjoo has no interest in taking Daesan for himself although he did have that ambition at the time and even Ildo too because he was was collaborating with the old Yeom for a long time.

Dongjoo came into Chairman Cha’s office because he needed his authorization for some pending approvals that they’re waiting for. Unfortunately, Chairman Cha is looking at Dongjoo in a funny way now after hearing about what Mr. Yeom told him just moments earlier.

The Chairman told Dongjoo that they should push this back to another time if it’s not urgent since they have a guest over. I think the Chairman wanted to hear more about what Yeom was telling him in detail.

Dongjoo was looking at Mr. Yeom and Mr. Yeom was looking at him and Dongjoo was witty enough to realize what’s going on so he told the Chairman that whatever he needed the chairman for is not urgent at the moment.

Mr. Yeom told Chairman Cha that Dongjoo hacked into his computer and stole the entire national patriotism fund and he was also saying that Dongjoo manipulates the national patriotism fund however he wants to for himself. The old geezer Yeom was saying that Ildo was cutting him out and meeting with the elder without him and all this sounded ridiculous to the old chairman. Maybe, the chairman should listen to his gut cus Mr. Yeom is so full of himself.

Yeom Jang Seon was telling Chairman Cha something, obviously it was inaudible but he was most certainly talking about Eunnam’s father Soonho and Heo Ildo because he mentioned those names before he decided to whisper whatever he’s saying to the chairman. He was looking around and making sure that nobody hears what he’s saying. Now, I’m curious what exactly Yeom was saying to Chairman Cha. Whatever it was, the chairman looked pretty concerned and even serious by his facial expression.

Dongjoo arrived at the Chairman’s house and went straight to his room. Oh I never mentioned this but Dongjoo looks so hot driving his dark black porsche. Now that I think about it, 10 years ago in a show called High Society, Changsoo was driving a Porsche too but I think it was a different color…?

Dongjoo was writing something down while the chairman was drinking his favorite drink; soju with raw eggs. Suddenly the chairman asked Dongjoo about Seonwoo’s strengths and weaknesses.

It seemed like Chairman Cha was testing Dongjoo. Dongjoo said that Seonwoo is like an untouched canvas and it’s too early to tell what his strengths and weaknesses are. Dongjoo also said that Seonwoo is a young man with unlimited possibilities with a smile on his face. Dongjoo was definitely being genuine about Seonwoo and he does wish him well although Yeom Jang Seon planted suspicions in the chairman’s head unfortunately.

What Dongjoo was writing down were the Chairman Cha’s passcodes for the safe for his money and the safe for his booze.

Chairman Cha was asking what Dongjoo would be doing for Seonwoo when he became the chairman and Dongjoo said he would be doing exactly what he’s doing right now for Chairman Cha Kangcheon. Dongjoo said he would be serving two generations of Daesan leadership and it was easy to tell that he really meant what he said and he was happy to serve the Daesan group.

Chairman Cha moved on to ask Dongjoo about something even more personal and that was about his father. The old man asked Dongjoo if he’s ever met his father. I guess Dongjoo was gonna hide the fact that Heo Ildo was his father so he told the chairman the story about Sister Agnes’s father who used to go to his university. Dongjoo told the old chairman that he was planning to meet his father at the university to deliver the message that Hyunjoo passed away but couldn’t because he wasn’t available at the time.

Chairman Cha was saying to Dongjoo that he should meet his dad while he’s still alive. The two men both drank the glass of soju with raw eggs in it before Dongjoo left the chairman’s office.

Dongjoo decided to go to Heo Ildo’s room to have a chit chat with him. The chairman copied the passwords for his safes and put them in the pencil holder like before for some strange reason.

Heo Ildo was concerned that giving the chairman the vault code might put him at a disadvantage. Dongjoo said that Ildo wouldn’t have to worry since he gave the chairman the old code and the real one is ingrained in his head.

Dongjoo was telling his dad Heo Ildo that the chairman’s dementia is getting worse although he might be pretending that he’s not on the surface by smiling. Dongjoo wants to get in on Yeom Jang Seon completely before the situation gets worse for the old chairman.

Dongjoo was telling Heo Ildo all this cus he wanted to see where he stood with Yeom Jang Seon and his father Mr. Heo blurted out that he cut ties with Mr. Yeom completely. Dongjoo was a little surprised cus he knew that doing so mustn’t have been easy for him to do.

Dongjoo expressed how he was proud of his dad in a subtle way to a degree by saying that Mr. Heo decided to remain human instead of turning into a full blown beast. Dongjoo thinks that even a beast wouldn’t follow someone who constantly orders his subordinate to kill his own child over and over again. Then Heo Ildo said that someone who continuously orders a man to continuously kill his child over and over again is a lot worse than a beast.

Chairman Cha called Yeom Jang Seon and Mr. Yeom asked the chairman if he secured the vault code but the old chairman had no idea that Dongjoo gave him the old code and this would pissed the heck out of Mr. Yeom.

Despite suffering from dementia Mr. Cha realized that the passcode that Director Seo gave him was the old one because the one that Dongjoo just gave him matched with the old code he wrote down from before.

Yeom told Cha to strike while the iron is hot once Chairman Cha Kang Cheon told Yeom Jang Seon about the password situation. For now it seems like nobody knows about the fact that Mr. Yeom already hired Ji Youngsoo to take what Daesan has once he gets married to Chairman Cha but Yeom lied and told Chairman Cha that Seo Dongjoo and Heo Ildo are the ones after his company and trying to prevent Seonwoo from successfully inheriting Daesan Group.

Yeom was planning to take action with Cha to hurt Dongjoo and this might surprise Dongjoo because he thought that Chairman Cha’s condition was so bad that he would never figure out that the vault code he just gave him and the old one are the same.

Dongjoo was saying to Heo Ildo, his daddy, that he will one day tell Chairman Cha everything he did with Yeom Jang Seon when he is of sound mind and ready to hear such a thing. Dongjoo was planning to remove him from Daesan afterwards and Heo Ildo said that he’ll tell Chairman Cha everything himself so he wouldn’t have to. Heo Ildo wants to be able to tell Chairman Cha everything, he wants to tell him every little detail regarding what he’s done with the mean old Yeom Jang Seon.

Chairman Cha called Dongjoo and told him that he’s very disappointed in him and Heo Ildo. Dongjoo apologized to the Chairman saying that he feels bad for not telling him sooner about the password.

Chairman Cha expressed how disappointed he was in Dongjoo because he heard about Dongjoo and Ildo being father and son through Mr. Yeom. Dongjoo said that he’ll go visit the chairman along with his father and  Mr. Cha told him that they should come by tomorrow night to explain everything to him.

Chairman Cha suggested that they should talk it over with drinks because it’s such an emotional thing to talk about but the old man didn’t want Secretary Gong around. Chairman Cha said it would be best to meet with him at Dong Joo’s place which he was fine with and the Chairman was planning to bring a few bottles of expensive wine for them to drink while talking about emotional things.

Chairman Cha said he’ll bring some of the most expensive bottles of wine in the world but he asked Dongjoo to prepare some food to go along with them.

Heo Ildo went over Dongjoo’s place and he was there without the chairman so Dongjoo couldn’t help but to wonder where the chairman went and the old man told him and Dongjoo to start without Mr. Cha.

Heo Ildo was just looking around seemingly looking awkward and Dongjoo seemed a little awkward around his father too. Since the Chairman wasn’t there so they couldn’t drink the expensive wine yet, Ildo suggested that they drink some soju while they wait for the old man to get there.

While Dongjoo was pouring his dad a bottle of soju into the glass he was looking at his dad awkwardly which I could totally understand since they never had a normal father and son relationship.

Mr. Heo told Dongjoo that he’s gonna drink up and knock out cus he hasn’t been sleeping well lately with everything going on.

The two took some shots and were having awkward banters, especially on Dong Joo’s end. Dongjoo was saying that the only thing left for Mr. Heo to do was to beg for forgiveness for all the wrong he’s done up to this point in his life. But at the same time he thinks Mr. Heo should just forget about what he said and not have remorse for trying to kill him for all those years since he is not thinking about forgiving him anyway.

Even though Dongjoo had no intention forgiving his father, he just couldn’t ignore it when Ildo is actually trying to have some kind of guilt and remorse for his ugly past.

Dongjoo thinks that when the Chairman comes over he’ll most likely tell them to just forget about it and get along even if he doesn’t have any kind of intent to do that. Heo Ildo agreed with Dongjoo’s sentiment since he promised himself not to have any sort of guilt whatsoever the moment he pushed Soonho, Kyungwon and the kid into the river all those years ago.

Dongjoo didn’t know what his father was talking about so Ildo decided to explain it to him. Mr. Heo was telling his boy that the particular incident/accident gave him wealth, family, and status that he couldn’t have gotten otherwise.

Mr. Heo also said that if he truly felt guilty for what he did he would have to give up everything he has, including his wealth, status and family but he didn’t want to do that. Ildo thinks that remorse without sacrifice is fake and pretentious so that’s why he had to force himself not to feel guilty at all.

It’s so funny how Dongjoo is able to say how he feels with Ildo but he was like that with him for a long time so it’s a natural reaction. Dongjoo was saying in a sarcastic way that his father Heo Ildo is a terrible person.

Heo Ildo was saying that God is punishing him through Dongjoo. Then Dongjoo was like since God is punishing him through Dongjoo himself, he wouldn’t have to give anything up?

Mr. Heo wanted more drinks so Dongjoo poured him some more soju into his glass and also Dongjoo was having some more soju as well. 

Dongjoo was wondering if anything else was good for Ildo besides this cost free repentance of his past misdeeds. And then Ildo said finally breaking free from Yeom Jang Seon and standing up to him was something good he did for once after all these years.

Apparently a long time ago, Ildo gave up his friends’ names. This was the first time ever he did the right thing after all those years. After Ildo gave his friends names to Yeom Jang Seon when he was younger, he pretty much became a puppet and now he finally stood up to him thanks to his boy Seo Dongjoo. Obviously, Ildo felt bad that the only thing he did for his own son was trying to kill him time and time again.

Dongjoo felt like the conversation that he was having with Ildo did not seem like a father and son talk at all. Dongjoo couldn’t help but to wonder what kind of conversation he would be having with Ildo if they were to have a normal father and son talk.

“Fatherl, take care of your health.”

“Son, don’t skip your meals.”

Dongjoo gave Ildo some examples of what they would be saying to each other if they had a normal father and son relationship while shaking his head. Dongjoo was lightly laughing a bit cus of their strange situation as father and son.

Also, Ildo decided to reciprocate Dongjoo’s sentiment by asking him if the day where they have normal conversation would ever come. Dongjoo was like, that would never happen so don’t even dream of it. It kinda sucks to have such a parent and child relationship.

Dongjoo and Ildo were drinking so much that they ran out of soju so Dongjoo was thinking about getting a bottle of whiskey out. Dongjoo said he’ll go look for it and Ildo agreed to it cus he thought it would be better than going out there to get more alcohol.

Dongjoo went upstairs to his room to look for the bottle of whiskey he had somewhere around his room but around that time the doorbell rang and Dongjoo told his father Ildo to go answer it.

Dongjoo was able to locate the whiskey but then when Ildo answered the door thinking that it was the chairman, it wasn’t. The person that was ringing the doorbell was some guy with that gold ruby ring that we saw in some of the earlier episodes of this show.

Dongjoo was happy to find the whiskey and he tried to let President Huh know about it but he realized that there was an uninvited guest who just stabbed Ildo and it was Jo Yangchoon unfortunately.

Yangchoon was being sarcastic, praising Dongjoo’s house. Mr. Jo wasn’t satisfied with just stabbing Ildo so he was gonna do the same to Dongjoo and he was able to slightly cut him but he didn’t succeed in stabbing him like he did with President Huh.

Dongjoo ran over to President Huh to make sure that he was okay. Dongjoo was able to get away from Yangchoon stabbing him because he splashed some booze on him but then later on he was so close to him that he came close to stabbing Dongjoo but failed again.

Dongjoo and Yangchoon were taking turns punching each other. Dongjoo was gonna get his gun that he hid in one of the drawers but he wasn’t fast enough unfortunately. 

President Huh was holding Yangchoon with one hand and with the other hand he was holding a knife. At first it looked like Ildo was just gonna stab Yangchoon for him but they both ended up falling hard from the stairs and this shocked Dongjoo big time. Dongjoo wanted to stop the fall but he couldn’t and obviously episode 13 was a major cliffhanger. I wonder if President Huh will survive? Did Yangchoon survive? Is Chairman Cha ever gonna come? I bet Chairman Cha and Yeom Jang Seon are monitoring it along with Mr. Cheon….

Episode 14 started out with Dongjoo going downstairs to check on President Huh and he realized that there was blood everywhere so he assumed that he passed away but thankfully he was still breathing even though he had blood all over his body.

Dongjoo wasn’t sure so he asked President Huh if he’s alive and he looked so devastated. It’s funny cus he still calls him President Huh but deep inside he was slowly accepting him as his father perhaps?

The first thing that came out of President Huh’s mouth was if Dongjoo was alright. I think even President Huh is slowly accepting him as his child.

Dongjoo was about to call 911/119 but Heo Ildo cut him off and asked if he believed in the afterlife. President Huh said that he’ll start believing in the afterlife as if he’s about to die and Dongjoo didn’t want him to say those things just yet because he thought that there’s still time to save him.

Dongjoo was about to call 911/119 but Mr. Heo stopped him from doing that. President Huh grabbed his hand and said that in the afterlife he will beg forgiveness everyday to Sunho, his mother Kyungwon and also to his little boy Dongjoo.

President Huh told Dongjoo to take care of Taeyun but Dongjoo stopped him from going on further by saying that he doesn’t want to believe in the afterlife and he thinks that it’s useless to beg everyday for forgiveness as a ghost. Dongjoo said it would be better for Mr. Heo to beg for forgiveness everyday while he’s alive and breathing instead.

Dongjoo said he would never forgive President Huh if he just dies like that so he would be better off staying alive if he wanted to be forgiven by his own son.

Dongjoo was limping but he managed to get his cellphone to call 911/119 but unfortunately he couldn’t dial the number in a timely manner so President Huh Ildo of Daesan group passed on and it was obvious that Dongjoo was devastated by this situation.

President Huh Ildo’s death was on the news and the news anchor said that President Huh Ildo of Daesan Group was attacked at Director Seo Dongjoo’s home by some unknown figure. The news anchor also added that the Daesan Group set up a funeral for President Huh at the Daesan Hospital’s funeral hall. Everyone at the company was dressed in black for Huh Ildo’s memorial.

President Huh wanted a very simple funeral with no floral tributes and also no condolence money accepted either. Taeyun was heartbroken of course and same goes for Kang Sung as well. Ildo’s friend Kang Sung tried to comfort Taeyun by shaking his hands.

Dongjoo looked pissed, I think he had a feeling who possibly did this. Dongjoo’s eyes looked beastly as if he might just kill someone if anybody messed with him at that very moment. Dongjoo was very distant, he kept to himself and observed everything from the background.

Meanwhile, Deokhui was explaining to Gukui about Dongjoo being Ildo’s son and she just couldn’t believe it, because it seemed so wild that those two were parent and son. Taeyun was there while Deokhui was telling Gukhui everything.

Gukhui asked Deokhui if there’s any proof to Dongjoo being Huh Ildo’s son and she told her sister that she saw the DNA test where it indicated that they were related as father and son.

Now Gukhui was able to understand why Deokhui wanted to push Ildo out of Daesan Energy the other day. Deokhui looked so empty and her whole face was very pale looking. Deokhui was expressionless and lifeless which I could totally understand. Deokhui told Gukhui that pretty soon Dongjoo will come for Huh Ildo’s inheritance. Gukhui’s husband was listening to this whole conversation between the two sisters too.

Gukhui’s husband Dr. Kim was saying that the late President Huh owned a significant amount of Daesan Stocks/Shares. According to Gukhui, Chairman Cha has the most shares of the company then Deokhui and then after her it’s Huh Ildo who had the most Daesan stocks. Gukhui was complaining that Ildo had three times more than her.

Gukhui was telling everyone that everytime the company grew he told Huh Ildo to  increase his stake. Both Chairman Cha and Deokhui were responsible for making Huh Ildo have a lot of Daesan shares. Deokhui was saying she supported her father wanting Ildo to increase his shares in the company all for Taeyun.

The Chairman of Cha Daebok’s cultural foundation was looking for her so now it was just Gukhui and her husband talking about Dongjoo and Taeyun being brothers. It’s so funny how Gukhui was telling her husband that Dongjoo bothered her for some reason although she never expressed that about him in the past but now she is because Dongjoo has become an obstacle for her success with her father’s company.

Now, Ji Youngsoo is the one giving Chairman Cha the glass of soju with raw eggs but he wasn’t looking too good. Well, he was in cahoots with Yeom Jang Seon to get rid of both Mr. Heo and Seo Dongjoo but unfortunately he couldn’t remove both of them although he and Yeom were able to physically remove Huh Ildo out of the picture.

Ji Youngsoo couldn’t understand that Mr. Cha was really into drinking soju with raw eggs but he wasn’t really talking, he was sighing a lot. I wonder if the chairman was feeling guilty for teaming up with Mr. Yeom.

Ji Youngsoo was trying to comfort Chairman Cha regarding President Huh’s death. She probably doesn’t have any idea that Mr. Yeom and the old chairman were working together in getting rid of CEO Huh. Ji Youngsoo said that life and death are in fate’s hand so he shouldn’t be obsessed about being depressed about it.

Ji Youngsoo was being sneaky and used this chance to ask about what the chairman is gonna do about the vacant CEO position. I guess Ji Youngsoo was probably wanting the chairman to mention her son Seonwoo’s name for that particular position although the chairman didn’t. Chairman Cha told his new wife that his second daughter Gukhui always wanted the CEO position of Daesan.

I want to carefully assume that Dongjoo had a feeling who was behind the murder of his father. When Dongjoo came into the chairman’s office Mr. Cha was surprised to see Dongjoo and Dongjoo said, I’m back alive and when Dongjoo said this, he looked intimidating too.

Mr. Cha looked pretty worried seeing Dongjoo alive while Ji Youngsoo looked like she wasn’t aware of what’s going on. Ji Youngsoo even offered Dongjoo to sit down while the chairman didn’t know what to do with himself.

Ji Youngsoo looked like she was egging on Dongjoo by saying stuff like oh, I heard from the chairman that the late President Huh was your father and it’s unfortunate that he died as soon as you found out about it. 

Ji Youngsoo told Dongjoo that he won’t be able to stay at the funeral for too long cus he is getting up there in  years  so she’ll send him to pay respect to his father later on in the evening.

Dongjoo wanted to speak with the chairman alone so he asked Ms. Ji to step out and she was asking him if he had something to hide to kick her out of the room to have a private conversation with the chairman alone.

Ji Youngsoo wanted to know what Dongjoo had to hide from her and the Chairman told her to step out for a bit. Ji Youngsoo is getting pretty nosy ever since she became the chairman’s new wife. Before Ms. Ji heading out of the chairman’s office he made sure that she realized that Dongjoo was the one who helped her become the wife of Daesan and she shouldn’t ever forget that.

Both Ji Youngsoo and Chairman Cha looked serious and worried at the same time.

Dongjoo decided to be straight forward with the chairman asking him if he plotted with Mr. Yeom to kill both him and his father. Dongjoo was taunting the old chairman saying that his plot against them was only half a success since they were only able to take out President Huh.

The Chairman looked pretty miffed about sitting in front of Dongjoo chit chatting with him. Dongjoo told the old man that when Mr. Yeom went to his father’s funeral to pay his respects, he just sent him away without hesitation.

Dongjoo told the Chairman not to come to his father’s funeral either cus that would be a waste of time for him. The old man looked so bothered sitting next to Dongjoo hearing all this. I do wonder if the old man Cha was feeling guilty at all.

Dongjoo told the police that he’s never seen the hitman that the old man Yeom sent to kill his late father. Dongjoo told the chairman that he’ll cover up his crime to avoid him getting a stain on his name but he has to stop coming after him in order for him to make a deal with him on this matter.

Dongjoo also warned the chairman that Cha Seonwoo won’t have a position in Daesan if he keeps on coming after him. The chairman Cha looked like he saw a ghost, his whole face looked so pale after hearing all that from Dongjoo.

Chairman Cha was looking back and thinking about what Yeom Jang Seon told him the other day and it was regarding Huh Ildo and Seo Dongjoo keeping their relationship a secret. Yeom was putting weird ideas into the chairman’s head saying that Ildo purposely hid the truth about his father and son relationship with Dongjoo so he could keep Dongjoo close to take down Seonwoo. This certainly isn’t the truth at all, Yeom just loves putting nasty ideas into people’s heads.

Chairman Cha came out of his office and started yelling at Dongjoo saying, how dare you threaten me like that! Man, this is not good not good because the chairman and Dongjoo always had a decent relationship but not anymore so I wonder if Mr. Cha would be okay with Dongjoo marrying Eunnam…..

Seonwoo was in his room studying for the high school equivalency exam, I’m guessing he never graduated from High School so in order for him to have some kind of a position with Daesan he would need a higher level education.

Seonwoo got a call from Dongjoo and he was gonna tell his father something but he couldn’t do it himself. Both Dongjoo and Seonwoo came into Chairman Cha’s office to tell him about Seonwoo’s future plans. Seonwoo couldn’t bring himself to tell his dad what his plans were so he needed Dongjoo to be there with him.

Seonwoo told his father that he’s planning to take the college entrance exam and when he rode with Dongjoo he was only gonna ride his bike. Mr. Cha’s face looked confused, puzzled, worried, threatened and scared all in one.

Seonwoo forgot what he was supposed to major in so he made sure that it was business major and when he asked Dongjoo to confirm it the older boy nodded. Seonwoo was telling his father that he’s gonna be majoring/studying in business in college.

Seonwoo’s father told him that he needs to go to college and he asked him if he could just get any of the high positions in Daesan for free without going to college. Mr. Cha looked confused because he remembered what his son told him when he asked him to go to college and he refused and now he wants to go to college all of a sudden?

Also, Seonwoo told his father that he needs to ride his motorbike cus it’s just like wearing shoes for him so if he doesn’t get to ride his bike it’s almost like walking around barefooted.The old man didn’t know how to respond so he was really quiet then Seonwoo was like, Dongjoo I guess dad doesn’t like the plan cus he’s not saying anything.

Dongjoo said he was holding back because he needed to give Seonwoo time to adjust to the new environment until he’s ready. Dongjoo told Seonwoo that he should start addressing the old man as father instead of sir. I guess Dongjoo’s plan was to make the old man feel guilty although it’s a good thing that Dongjoo got to call Ildo, father a few times before he passed on.

Seonwoo told the older boy that it’s hard for him to call the old man that cus he always called him sir from the very beginning and Dongjoo said that he understands that sentiment. It’s the truth since Dongjoo kept on calling him President Huh for most of their interactions till his death.

Dongjoo was advising the younger boy not to take the easy route and by the looks of it the old man Cha looked really confused by Dongjoo’s behavior. Dongjoo also added that the more you avoid things in life it gets a lot harder. At this point I really don’t know what Dongjoo’s motives are……

Seonwoo finally decided to call Chairman Cha father under Dongjoo’s guidance and of course Mr. Cha was all smiles. Possibly, this was what Dongjoo was after using Seonwoo as bait to some degree. Seonwoo promised Chairman Cha Gangcheon that he’ll start calling him father from now on and it was pretty obvious that the old man Cha was delighted to be called that instead of sir from his own child. However, Chairman Cha was looking at Dongjoo while looking puzzled and it almost looked like he was asking him this question, what are you after? What do you want from me?

Dongjoo went into his room and Eunnam was waiting for him there so she could go to President Huh’s funeral together. Originally Eunnam wasn’t gonna go to Heo Ildo’s funeral knowing her relationship with Mr. Heo when he was alive but she felt like it was her duty to go cus of Taeyun since she’s kinda like her older sister and all. But Dongjoo told Eunnam to just go with Taeyun and he’ll join her later and she couldn’t understand why though.

Dongjoo and Eunnam were having a serious talk outside on the bench and Dongjoo explained to Eunnam the reason why he doesn’t  want to go see Heo Ildo with her and Taeyun. Dongjoo was telling Eunnam about his relationship with President Huh, telling her that he was his biological father and Eunnam was wondering when he found out about it then he told her that he found out about Heo Ildo being his father on the day of Chairman Cha’s wedding.

Eunnam told Dongjoo that Chairman Cha passed out when he heard about Heo Ildo being Dongjoo’s biological father. Then suddenly Eunnam expressed that she wanted to spend time with Dongjoo while he was laying on his hospital bed. It’s obvious that Dongjoo still loves and cares about Eunnam but for some reason it looked like he was protecting himself because it seemed like he was still distant from her emotionally. I didn’t see the spark in his eyes like before when he saw Eunnam and his smile isn’t there either but I could understand everything that happened to him in just a short amount of time.

Eunnam told Dongjoo the reason why she divorced Huicheol although I felt like it was a bit unnecessary for her to do that. Eunnam also emphasized that Dongjoo has been her number one priority. I understand her sentiment but it’s getting really annoying, Eunnam annoyed me from the beginning just like Jina from Suits.

Eunnam said Heo Ildo ruined her childhood and she’s lived with all that trauma ever since he came into her life so she hoped that he would hate him with her. To Eunnam, Dongjoo is the only one for her and there’s nobody else but him that matters in her life and now she hears that Heo Ildo’s his father is a bit of a shock to her. It’s obvious that she’s having a hard time handling this news……

Eunnam thought it would’ve been better off that Dongjoo just kept his relations with Heo Ildo a secret. Dongjoo was well aware that Eunnam suffered a lot because of her father’s unjust death so he didn’t want to keep this a secret about him and Ildo because he felt like he was lying to her for keeping this information hidden from her.

Dongjoo wanted to keep it a secret from her because he thought that she might leave him after hearing the truth about him and Ildo. But of course she wouldn’t since Eunnam is so crazy about Dongjoo.

Dongjoo visits his father by himself and he looks pretty determined. Dongjoo was looking back to what his father was telling him before he died. Heo Ildo told him that by letting Ji Seonwoo into their family he’s gonna ruin Taeyun’s life so therefore removing Dongjoo physically would be the right answer so he thought….

Mr. Heo was talking about wanting to shoot Dongjoo and the younger man and said he was obviously aware of that. Dongjoo’s father President Huh said he had no other choice but to try to kill him. Mr. Heo didn’t want what he did to Kyungwon, Soonho and that kid to be meaningless so he had to constantly make attempts to go after Dongjoo and kill him.

Then Dongjoo told what his goal has been to his father and to Dongjoo it was all about impressing Chairman Cha and climbing the ladder at Daesan Group. Dongjoo’s ambition was simple but that all changed because of Heo Ildo and Yeom Jang Seon. Ildo was curious if he changed once he saved him even if he shot his son Dongjoo while they were in the ocean. Dongjoo then said he wanted a proper revenge while giving Ildo that innocent but intimidating look on his face.

Dongjoo said he was determined to crush everything when he found out what Yeom and his own father tried to do to him when they didn’t succeed with the murder attempt. Ildo couldn’t help but to express how similar they really are, including the greedy part.

Then Dongjoo went on and said he was different from his dad because he wasn’t so greedy to the point where he ended up killing other people surrounding him to get what he wanted. Mr. Heo told Dongjoo to cremate his ashes into the sea where he saved him when he died of old age someday but unfortunately he did not die of old age. President Huh wanted to repent what he did because his son saved him when he was about to die.

Dongjoo was looking at his father’s portrait and talking to his spirit about how he’ll never make up for what he did just because he saved him once. Dongjoo was obviously upset that he died like that when he was barely getting himself acquainted with him. Dongjoo was remembering what they were saying about having a normal father and son relationship and if they did have one of those what they would talk about.

Dongjoo remembered what his father said about his ashes when he died although he was talking about dying of old age but unfortunately he’s passed on now so Dongjoo was preparing to send him away properly despite everything he’s done to him while he was alive.

Chairman Cha held a family meeting and expressed how felt it was ridiculous of Dongjoo to take the ashes to his own place without talking to them about it. Also, Chairman Cha couldn’t believe that nobody stopped him from Dongjoo taking Ildo’s ashes to his place. Chairman Cha scolded Taeyun for not stopping Dongjoo from taking Ildo’s ashes and Taeyun told his grandfather that he told Dongjoo whatever he wanted to do with it was fine with him. Obviously, Taeyun is very supportive of Dongjoo and the thing is he always had an affinity towards Dongjoo.

Taeyun told his grandfather that it didn’t matter with Dongjoo taking his father’s ashes to his own place since Dongjoo is also Ildo’s son. Cha Seonwoo couldn’t believe that Dongjoo and Taeyun are actual blood related brothers even though they are only half brothers. 

Deokhui was telling everyone that it was hard to stop Dongjoo because he was so adamant about it all. So the only way they could even get a hold of Ildo’s ashes was to literally fight for it. Deokhui told her father they won’t be able to stop Dongjoo from doing what he wants right now.

Chairman Cha wanted to know what Eunnam thought about Dongjoo taking Ildo’s ashes because Ildo partly raised her after Soonho died. Ildo was her stepfather so even if they didn’t get along he still raised her so the old man Cha wanted to know where she stood on things.

Eunnam thought it was silly of her grandfather to ask her this question because the answer was pretty obvious. For one Dongjoo was his biological son and Eunnam was just his stepdaughter and besides Eunnam loves and cares about Dongjoo so she would most certainly be on his side more than anybody else in Buried Hearts.

Cha Seonwoo’s mother had her hand on Chairman Cha while telling him she had something to say to him and this made people nervous. Deokhui looked at Ji Youngsoo funny as if she was having some weird suspicions about her.

Then Deokhui had a chance to talk with her father in his personal home office. Deokhui was telling her father that it would be difficult for her father to withhold the DNA paternity test result. Dongjoo stood his ground and insisted that he would be the one taking Ildo’s ashes.

Chairman Cha was telling Deokhui that they should cut people off who don’t carry on their Cha family last name. Mr. Cha told Deokhui that they should stick closer than ever before and also Seonwoo since he carries on the Cha family name and his blood related son too.

Chairman Cha went onto say that Deokhui does have Taeyun but he’s only half blooded but that doesn’t make any sense though cus technically Taeyun is a part Cha and Seonwoo is only a half Cha too because his mother’s last name is Ji.

Chairman Cha told Deokhui to look out for Seonwoo because she’s a Cha just like him so that’s like him basically saying that she should be more focused on looking out for Seonwoo and not Taeyun because to the old man Taeyun is just a halfling cus he is a Huh not a Cha. Chairman Cha is more cruel than I thought, I actually kinda liked him at the beginning of the show but not anymore.

Deokhui couldn’t believe what her father was asking her to do since Taeyun means the world to him. She always worried about Taeyun’s future and now her father wants her to look after Seonwoo instead of her own child?

Chairman Cha promised her she would get her share if she helps him out with taking care of Seonwoo since he won’t be able to trust Dongjoo anymore to do that unlike before. Mr. Cha said he would be willing to give Deokhui a good chunk of Daesan stocks/shares.

Mr. Yeom is a terrible person but his wife is not. Ms. Yeom was feeling bad for Dongjoo and Ildo cus they didn’t get to find out about their relations until way later and then Ildo passed on. Ms. Yeom was saying that it could’ve been better if Dongjoo found out sooner about his father and now that he’s gone he might be wondering more about his mother too. This conversation was making Mr. Yeom nervous but he couldn’t be too forward about it cus he wouldn’t want his wife to catch on cus of his obvious behaviors.

Ms. Yeom wanted to invite Dongjoo over for a meal and this made Mr. Yeom spit out some of his drink that he was drinking. Ms. Yeom was smiling and saying that Dongjoo seemed to remember being at their house as a kid but obviously, Mr. Yeom’s answer was a BIG FAT NO!

Chairman Cha wanted to get more money out of the vault but the passcode he had was wrong but Dongjoo had it right and this surprised him. Dongjoo asked the chairman how much he needed from the vault and this made his mouth wide open.

Chairman Cha yelled at Dongjoo and even called him a bastard but Dongjoo was like, Nope, I can’t let you have it! I remember for most of the episodes of this show the chairman really liked Dongjoo but now I’m starting to wonder if he ever did in the first place…..

The old chairman called Dongjoo a shameless thief but his words didn’t bother him that much and he nonchalantly asked the old man if he needed some gold bars besides the cash. The chairman looked like he was about to have a heart attack while this wasn’t really affecting Dongjoo except he was more determined than anything.

The chairman wanted Dongjoo to get out of his house and then Mr. Yeom showed up at the house. Dongjoo closed the sliding door on them. Both the chairman and Yeom looked puzzled but it only makes sense for Dongjoo to act this way since he is well aware that his father was killed by the two men’s shameless plot although they wanted to take Dongjoo out too but they failed doing that.

Chairman Cha and Mr. Yeom was in the old man Cha’s office and Dongjoo brought a whole bunch of things, he was complaining that it was heavy too. Mr. Yeom asked Dongjoo what it’s like to carry two trillion in his head from the National Patriotism Fund and Daesan Slush Fund.

Yeom Jang Seon was trying to taunt Dongjoo and make him look bad in front of the chairman when it’s so unnecessary since right now the chairman isn’t a fan of Dongjoo either.

Mr. Yeom is tired of this dumb game so he told Dongjoo to just kill him and get it over with already then Dongjoo said his life isn’t worth killing so he doesn’t need to talk about that. Mr Yeom was wondering why Dongjoo is stalling to get rid of him when it’s pretty obvious that Dongjoo would love to take him out once and for all.

Dongjoo said that watching Mr. Yeom crawl at his feet would make him delighted more than anything else instead of just giving him an easy death. Dongjoo would love to see Yeom crawl at his feet as if his life depended on it. Dongjoo said that Mr. Yeom was the one that turned him into a crazy bastard.

As Dongjoo was walking out Mr. Yeom said they need a new plan cus they can’t have Dongjoo as the gatekeeper protecting the vault so they wouldn’t be able to handle the money so easily to their liking. Yeom thinks that they should break it open or blow it open for good.

The chairman said that it’s unfortunate but it’s nearly impossible to break into the inner vault.

Meanwhile, Dongjoo decided to have an interview with the media and the journalist mentioned about him just finding out about the fact that President Huh of Daesan group was his father. The journalist expressed a deep interest in writing a piece about Dongjoo and Ildo. There were so many media outlets who were interested in doing interviews with Dongjoo but he turned them all down except for the one he decided to give him a chance which he’s meeting up with so the journalist was curious to why he turned every other outlet down and not them.

Dongjoo said he was willing to do an interview with Ma Jayeol specifically and the reporter was quite surprised that Dongjoo actually remembered him. Dongjoo asked Mr. Ma about him coming for the dandelion files before. Reporter Ma answered Dongjoo’s question and told him that he was looking for the dandelion files before and he is still chasing the story behind it.

Mr. Cheon was looking at his phone and it was Ma Jayeol. Cheon invited Ma over to Yeom’s place. Reporter Ma Jayeol was over at Mr. Yeom’s house and Cheon gave Mr. Ma a cup of tea which he enjoyed the aroma of before drinking it.

Mr. Yeom had some political figure over and the guy was raving about the wine he was drinking. The gentleman was saying that he kept on going with Mr. Yeom because he had a knack for having a good memory…..

The man was saying that there was a time when Yeom chewed him out to set him straight, he remembers all those things. Mr. Yeom had a box of nice dress shirts made in the US and the guy was like, is this genuine made in USA stuff?

Mr. Yeom opened up the box but it wasn’t a white dress shirt, under it was full of gold bars and the political figure’s assistant man was so happy to see them. The man was like, didn’t Director Seo used to pass these out?

Mr. Yeom was like now I’m in charge of passing these out not Director Seoi/Dongjoo and the assistant man looked a little confused. Mr. Yeom smiled creepily, getting on my nerves as usual. The man was confused that Cheon was taking it away because he thought it was his to keep but Mr. Yeom said not yet.

Mr. Yeom said that he won’t be giving Mr. Assistant man the gold bars until he comes up with a way to keep him far away from the elder.

The administrator has been interacting with Dongjoo because they still have some work to do together and now there’s no Jo Yangchoon to get in the way so things might be easier for them to get things done.

The administrator guy thanked Dongjoo for getting him the medical treatment when they were in Dongjoo’s car together. Dongjoo warned that Yeom Jang Seon won’t stop coming after him. The administrator guy told Dongjoo that he wouldn’t have to worry about that since he’s not gonna fall for his shenanigans again. Dongjoo told the administrator to take care of himself and stay safe.

The administrator told Dongjoo that he owes him his life so he doesn’t have to worry about him messing up before getting out of Dongjoo’s car.

Meanwhile, Dongjoo and Bae were at their base camp again which is Myung Taegum’s little hacking room. Miss Myung was telling the boys that she was able to find most of the real estate under Jang Seon’s names and aliases. By the way, Mr. Bae had short blond hair this time, his looks always change and like I said before it’s been a running gag with this Mr. Bae character.

The administrator guy went to the big auditorium while Dongjoo and Bae were drinking and having a bowl of ramen noodles. Mr. Bae was talking about Dongjoo’s watch. Bae said this watch changed his life ever since he tried to snatch the watch from Dongjoo a while back at sea.

Dongjoo wanted to ask Bae this for a long time and he just couldn’t help but to wonder why this Mr. Bae guy is going so far to help him all the time. To Dongjoo it didn’t make sense for Mr. Bae to just help him cus he got caught stealing his watch when he was laying down and fainted at the beach.

Mr. Bae was pretty much saying that he is helping Dongjoo not just for him but he has his own beef with him too so it’s not like he is helping Dongjoo for no reason. Through helping Dongjoo, it’s like going after Yeom Jang Seon in his own little way.

Mr. Bae wants to see Yeom go down with the Dandelion files. A full report on Yeom Jang Seon’s dirty deeds and expose him for everything he’s done is Mr. Bae’s goal.

Mr. Bae was talking with Reporter Ma and Bae told Ma to just read the article there because Dongjoo is very strict for security purposes. Mr. Bae was telling Mr. Ma that Dongjoo won’t allow photo copies or prints of any kind. Hell, Dongjoo won’t even share it with the people that he’s close to like Bae and Myung Taeguem.

Mr. Cheon asked Mr. Yeom if he remembers a guy name Mr. Ma Jaeyeol and Yeom remembered that this Mr. Ma person is very obsessed with the Dandelion files. Cheon told Yeom that Ma came by many times to see if he had it and Yeom had a hard time believing that. Mr. Ma believed in the rumors that Mr. Cheon had the dandelion files handy.

Cheon told his boss Mr. Yeom that journalist Ma has been interacting with the administrator too and he’s been digging really deep into this dandelion thing. I thought they did retrieve the dandelion files already and it looks like I didn’t pay attention all the way because Dongjoo and company didn’t get the actual dandelion files with the list of things Yeom Jang Seon did over the years.

Cheon warned Yeom that by Mr. Ma and the administrator interacting could help Dongjoo get closer and closer to the dandelion files which would ruin Mr. Yeom’s life.

Cheon met up with Ma to have to talk to him about the dandelion files obviously. Journalist Ma Jayeol told Mr. Cheon that Mr. Yeom thinks that he has the dandelion files just because he stopped sniffing around for it. Cheon told Ma that Yeom was wondering how much he would sell it for. Mr. Ma took a few seconds to answer Mr. Cheon, he said he would sell the dandelion files to Mr. Yeom for 10 billion won.

Mr Cheon asked Mr. Ma again if he had the dandelion files just to be sure. The journalist said he doesn’t have the dandelion files unfortunately and if he did he would have published it by now. The journalist said if he had that darn thing he would have popped it a long time ago since there’s no reason sitting on something so big.

Dongjoo was about to have a cup of tea and he got a phone call from journalist Ma. By the way, in this scene Dongjoo’s hair and sweater made him look so good.

Dongjoo was telling Mr. Ma that the administrator was hiding something. Cheon was speaking with someone and the guy he was speaking with was saying something about the instrument market. Cheon was saying that according to Dongjoo’s dashcam it was somewhere he’s never gone before but now he goes there practically everyday. Cheon was speaking with Mr. Yeom and discussing Dongjoo and where he’s been going lately. Mr. Cheon was telling Mr. Yeom that he will go check the building to check out what’s been going on over there.

Mr. Bae was enjoying his ramen when some men in black came banging on his door. Bae thought he was talking to Dongjoo but he wasn’t around. Guys dressed in black suits came over to his apartment to get him. The men in black were Cheon’s henchmen. Wonbae had no clue what was going on and was wondering who he was and obviously he didn’t know Cheon so he had to ask.

Mr. Bae Wonbae had no clue about Cheon Guho and his men but Cheon knew about Bae. Cheong Guho referred to Bae Wonbae by his other name, Jang Ilnam and Bae had no idea what was happening. While the men dressed in black held him down, Mr. Cheon unplugged all the wires and packed up everything that were important items to him and his boss. In this particular scene, Wonbae had a conrow, this guy changes his hairstyle so many times in this one show alone that he’s a shapeshifter to me…..

Yeom Jang Seon arrived and he asked if that guy was the one who ran off with Dongjoo by the ocean.Cheon Guho clarified that it’s Jang Ilnam who ran off with Dongjoo while they were back by the ocean and he let his boss know that his real name is Bae Wonbae, also known as Jang Ilnam.

According to, Mr. Cheon, Mr. Bae did something illegal as a nurse and is a wanted man now. Yeom Jang Seon realized it wasn’t Ma Jaeyeol the reporter after what he’s trying to protect, it was Seo Dongjoo all along.

Mr. Yeom was asking Mr. Cheon about the dandelion and according to Cheon he couldn’t locate the original though. Unfortunately, Mr. Yeom and Cheon caught Mr. Bae and took him to a place that looked like an interrogation room. 

Mr. Yeom asked Mr. Bae about the dandelion files and he told him to return it to its rightful owner. Bae was so darn sly because he was acting as if he’s never heard of such a thing before and he claimed that he just works at the instrument shop which is so bogus. Bae was putting on a show/performance nearly about to cry any minute.

Yeom Jang Seon told Cheon Guho to get Myung Taeguem since Bae Wonbae isn’t opening his mouth. Yeom asked Cheon if Miss Myung is a hacker to make sure he knows what he’s doing and Cheon said yes to Yeom’s question.

Bae was trying to be quick on his feet and tried to make it seem as if Myung Taegum doesn’t know anything about hacking since she doesn’t have basic skills in operating a spreadsheet. 

Mr. Bae or rather Mr. Jang tried to outsmart Mr. Yeom but didn’t work cus he’s like, is that so? Then it must be you…..

Yeom Jang Seon’s old habits were coming back, he grabbed a stick ready to beat Mr. Bae if he doesn’t answer to him properly. Mr. Bae was trying to be witty again by acting as if he had no idea what the dandelion file was. Unfortunately, Mr. Bae’s quick thinking skills won’t work on Mr. Yeom cus he wasn’t gonna let him leave the interrogation room until he figures what the dandelion file is.

Mr. Yeom tried scaring Bae by saying that he knows his real name and this kinda scared Wonbae a little. Mr Yeom said he would have to rough him up first before anything else and went Bam! 

Myung Taeguem came over to the little apartment to see Bae but he wasn’t home. Taegeum realized that something was up because everything was unplugged and the place was a giant mess. Taegeum started calling for Bae or rather Ilnam. 

Taegeum was observing the place and realized that the whole place was a mess and she saw his phone there without him being home so she thought something strange was going on so she called Dongjoo. Dongjoo seemed like he was deep asleep but was interrupted by his hacker friend Taegeum. I don’t know why but I kinda ship Dongjoo with Taegueum, I wonder what the other fans would think of this idea.

Myung Taegum sent Dongjoo some photos from Mr. Bae’s phone. Dongjoo knew that there was going to be trouble so he decided to meet up with the administrator. The administrator told Dongjoo that Mr. Cheon’s men are pretty tough and he was well aware of that since he’s run into them before in the past.

Dongjoo was telling the administrator that he was the one who took the dandelion files but he just didn’t get around to telling him and he apologized for it but the administrator guy was okay with it.

The administrator was telling Dongjoo the layouts of the building and according to the older man from the unit they were in to the other side of the building there were dozens of units and he most certainly kept that in mind.

The men that the administrator brought were running around the building looking for something that’s missing and Dongjoo was crossing off the lists on the papers and he had to narrow it down to whatever he was looking for but he was looking a bit frustrated as he was crossing each thing on the list.

Dongjoo was able to reach out to Lee Cheolyeong, this was the very thing that Yeom wanted to avoid if at all possible. Mr. Lee told Dongjoo to deliver it without drawing attention  cus that could put him in danger.

Yeom was eating a bowl of delicious soup his wife made and he was about to enjoy it but he got a phone call from the elder, or Mr. Lee Cheolyeong. Dongjoo asked Mr. Lee the elder to call Mr. Yeom to let Mr. Bae go. The elder said to Mr. Yeom that he needs to hear Dongjoo out on this and do him a favor cus he’s never done that for him before. The most important thing for the elder is for him to save face more than anything.

Mr. Yeom told the elder that he’ll take care of everything and he should treat himself to some radish soup since it’s in season right now. 

Taegeum told Dongjoo not to worry about it because Bae will show up pretty soon going, Hey, Dongjoo! Oh man, Hyungsik looks so darn good in that grey coat, but the thing is Mr. Park looks good in anything he wears!

Cheon’s men show up to get something and Dongjoo opens up his trunk and there were to duffle bags full of tapes. There were tapes for Yeom Jang Seon, Nam Sang Cheol, and Prosecution of Daesan Group.

Mr. Yeom was waiting on the rooftop. Dongjoo and Cheon’s men showed up with those duffle bags from Dongjoo’s car. Yeom burns those bags right in front of Dongjoo and he asks directly if he has any copies or back ups for those files.

Mr. Yeom made a deal with Dongjoo and that was Dongjoo bringing all the files for releasing his friend Bae. Dongjoo told Mr. Yeom not to worry about back ups cus he doesn’t want to play games in exchange for his friend’s life.

Cheon dials up his men and his men drag Mr. Bae out of the room. Poor Mr. Bae looking all beat up. Cheon’s men dragged the guy out into the street corner and just left him there. 

Yeom asked about Jang Ilnam’s pictures. Yeom said that Bae got beat up more and more for being uncooperative. Cold blooded Yeom told Dongjoo that if Bae Wonbae or rather Jang Ilnam dies then it would be all on him. However, Yeom said that luckily Bae is still alive but this is what he gets for involving his friend in exposing the dandelion files to humiliate him.

Dongjoo said that he wants to dig up what Mr. Yeom wants to keep it buried so badly. Dongjoo was asking Yeom why he’s so desperate to get his hands on the file.

But Yeom was pretending that he wasn’t desperate to get his hands on it when it’s so obvious that he was since it has all the dirt on him and once exposed things could get really bad for him. 

Dongjoo answered that Mr. Yeom must be desperate to get his hands on it since he captured his friend and also made him come over with the files too. Dongjoo added while taunting him that he should be ashamed of himself in private now that it’s all gone.

Yeom was proud to say this to Dongjoo that there’s nothing he’s ashamed of that’s in the dandelion files. It’s just that Yeom doesn’t want some clueless idiots to hear those recordings, that’s all. Yeom also doesn’t want to be dragged into their stupid gossip too.

Dongjoo then said something where it might hurt him right in the gut. Dongjoo thinks that Yeom is being mighty proud or acting like it cus he is too ashamed to admit to the truth that what he did was terrible. Dongjoo gets his sentiment despite the fact that Yeom is his adversary. Yeom was saying that Dongjoo was acting like an amateur.

Mr. Yeom then turned around and asked Dongjoo if he had ever sacrificed anything for the greater good other than his personal gain. Mr. Yeom said that he wore a badge of honor for public office from day one. Mr. Yeom said he had never put himself first. For Mr. Yeom it was always about the country and the cause.

Mr. Yeom added on by saying that when the cowards stood back from doing something for the greater good he rolled up his sleeves and did what had to be done unlike his colleagues and subordinates.

Dongjoo told Yeom not to talk so lightly of a person’s life then Mr. Yeom called the young man by his name, Dongjoo instead of Director Seo.

Mr. Yeom said that Dongjoo swallowed 2 trillion won from the national patriotism fund. Yeom Jang Seon said that Dongjoo was the one who sacrificed his sister’s life for that two trillion won. Mr. Yeom said that Sister Agnes was just a stranger to him and once he said that Dongjoo’s eyes were sparkling which he hasn’t in a long time since this show started back in February.

Dongjoo was like who the heck gives up their sister for money and when he said this I knew that Yeom touched a nerve there. Dongjoo yelled at Mr. Yeom says he’s the one who killed his sister Agnes or rather Seo Hyunjoo.

Yeom Jang Seon said that he wouldn’t have had to kill his sister if he returned the money like he asked. Yeom was asking Dongjoo who Agnes would blame in the afterlife. What Mr. Yeom said pissed off Dongjoo greatly to the point where he might use some sort of violence on the older man.

Mr Yeom ordered Cheon to throw Dongjoo off the roof top and Cheon’s boys were holding him down on each side so he wouldn’t escape.Yeom and the boys were about to throw Dongjoo off the roof but he got rescued by a nerdy hacker lady, Myung Taegeum with her little drone that she’s controlling. Mr. Yeom, Mr. Cheon and their men were so confused and puzzled.

Dongjoo obviously had a back up plan and that was through Myung Tae Geum’s drones and it was able to expose Yeom with everything that he said to Dongjoo while on the rooftop through the big screen for everybody to see. So, who has the last laugh now? Dongjoo’s face looked so awesome while everything that Mr. Yeom said to him was playing on the big screen in the streets of Seoul.
