Episode 15 was cute just like the last 14 episodes but I couldn’t help but to feel sad that it’s gonna be coming to an end as of tomorrow. This episode starts out with Jungwoo going to the jewelry store to buy a gift for Haneul. I got to see the back of Jungwoo and he looks so good in a casual suit. The thing is Park Hyungsik and all of his characters look so good in anything and everything, I can’t help but to repeat this over and over again.
I like how Dr. Slump is full of romance and comedy all at the same time even though it’s about two doctors that fell into a slump and now they are almost alive and well again. Park Shinhye isn’t the rom-com queen for nothing.
We see Jungwoo and Haneul sitting on the couch right next to each other at Haneul’s office and this whole segment cracked me up so much. Jungwoo was facing the other direction so he managed to get the box out of his pocket with a ring in it but he had a problem, he didn’t know how to give it to her. At first he thought it would be better for him to give it to her like a cool guy with one hand and another method was to give her the ring with both hands like a dork while smiling cheesily. I thought both ways to give her the ring were nice but if I was Haneul, I would prefer the dorky second one.
Haneul was on the other side of her office and Jungwoo decided to use this chance to come up with a way to give her the ring once and for all. Jungwoo took the ring out of the case and was rehearsing how he was gonna give her the ring. He was like, should I give it to her like this? How about giving it to her this way? This is a sure way to give it to her then an accident happened, the ring went under the couch and he was looking underneath the couch to get it out of there then Haneul came and asked him what he was doing.
Since Jungwoo didn’t come up with the way to hand her the ring, for now he wanted to pretend that he was looking for something else instead of the ring. When Haneul asked him what he’s looking for underneath the couch, he said he was looking for a 100 won cent coin like a dork and then Jungwoo was like I’ll look for the coin myself then he told her that he’ll tell her the truth. Jungwoo was squinting out of awkwardness and he told her he was looking for a gift that he bought for her that rolled underneath the couch but Haneul thought he was talking about him giving her a 100 won cent as a gift.
Haneul decided to take the matters into her own hands and helped him look underneath the couch to find that gift he apparently bought for her and something happened, they both witnessed two cockroaches crawling out from under the couch and the couple were running away from it of course. I was laughing so hard because these two grown adults were jumping up and down and ran away to the other couch that was across from the one they were previously sitting on.
Haneul was like, I can’t believe you pushed me away and ran to the couch first and Jungwoo was pretending to be a macho man saying that he is not afraid of the roaches.
I don’t want to forget so I’m gonna mention it now but the brownish shirt that Jungwoo was airing for this particular segment was so hot and it made it even hotter because he had a few buttons opened which made him look super sexy.
Jungwoo was so frustrated that he went over to Daeyoung to tell him about it. Jungwoo told Daeyoung that he bought that ring to surprise her but it ended up underneath the couch instead. Daeyoung thought Jungwoo was being ridiculous because he’s never heard anybody hiding the ring underneath the couch as a surprise although hiding the proposal ring inside the cake is super common according to Dae.
Daeyoung was saying Jungwoo is the worst and the younger boy was whining telling his hyung that he doesn’t know what to do. Jungwoo was agreeing with Dae that everything is so horrible right now.
Daeyoung was wondering what Jungwoo said to Haneul and he was also wondering if he told her that it was because of a freaking ring. Jungwoo left it vague by saying that it’s a gift he bought for her but never told her that it was a ring and he’s planning to tell her about it later. For the time being he didn’t want to be reminded of those cockroaches that they saw earlier. Jungwoo managed to make all kinds of excuses and not tell her about it while he was there at her office.
Daeyoung figured out why Jungwoo was trying to give Haneul a ring. Dr. Bin realized that Jungwoo was trying to propose to her but he was playing dumb by saying that he bought it without the intention of proposing to her. Jungwoo didn’t mind if Haneul misunderstood his intention for the gift because he really does want to propose to her after all.
Then Daeyoung said that Jungwoo is the kind of man that would stop a woman from being successful and blocking her path from achieving her dreams even though that’s not the case at all. Jungwoo had no idea why Daeyoung thought this so he asked him why and the older man told the younger man the reasons why he is blocking his woman’s path.
Daeyoung was saying that Jungwoo should allow Haneul to focus on her job as the assistant professor for now since she barely got hired for that position. Daeyoung was telling the younger boy that Haneul would feel burdened by his gift if he gave it to her so suddenly like that without giving her any hints about it. Jungwoo agreed with Daeyoung’s thought and Dr. Yeo said Dr. Bin did not sound like his usual self because he is saying the right things for once for a change.
Daeyoung was almost like a mentor to Jungwoo since he is more experienced when it comes to marriage since he’s been there and done that before. Daeyoung thinks that Jungwoo is rushing into it. According to Dae, Jungwoo has only dated Hanuel for less than a year now and he thinks he should date her longer before thinking about popping the question. Dae thinks Jungwoo should date her through different seasons of the year to know if she is the right one for him. Jungwoo was a bit insulted when Dae made it seem as if each season was troublesome and because Haneul is a troublesome person. However, Daeyoung was talking about Jungwoo being the troublesome pest because to Haneul he probably hasn’t proved himself enough for her to say yes.
Daeyoung thinks it’s too early for Jungwoo to pop the question since they have only been dating for less than a year and also Haneul barely got hired as the assistant professor just recently. Jungwoo couldn’t help but to agree with Daeyoung but he still feels a little offended by it. Daeyoung gave the younger boy some advice, he said Jungwoo should get Haneul a bracelet instead. Jungwoo was like, bracelet? That’s a stupid idea but then he went straight over back to that same jewelry store anyway.
The Jewelry store sales lady recognized our handsome Yeo Jungwoo and she was wondering why he’s back and she was wondering if there’s a problem or something. Jungwoo was carrying a shopping bag with a bracelet inside and was heading back home. Jungwoo wasn’t sure if he did the right thing to take Daeyoung’s advice by buying her a bracelet instead.
Bada was sweeping the front of the noodle shop and Jungwoo thought he was doing a good job. Sometimes Bada doesn’t feel like doing it but he’s been able to endure it thankfully. Jungwoo was happy that Bada was able to pull through despite the fact that he wished he didn’t have to do this. Bada wanted Jungwoo to treat him to some Korean spicy rice cake and Jungwoo definitely didn’t mind that as long as he is willing to eat it extra spicy. Fortunately, Bada thought that was an awesome idea and Jungwoo was like you like that? Bada smiles then Jungwoo said “좋았어!” which means “ALRIGHT/GOOD!” in Korean. For some reason Jungwoo/Hyungsik/ Hyungsik’s characters saying Alright/Good in Korean is so hot!
Jungwoo ordered some Korean Spicy Rice Cake for all of them to eat and it looked to be a whole pot full of it too. Bada’s uncle Taesun was amazed how when you order food from the app on your phone they deliver it to you within twenty minutes. Uncle Taesun is so behind with the times since so many people not only order food on the app but most restaurants have a delivery service of some kind nowadays. Uncle Taesun said they live in a better world where food will be delivered to you in twenty minutes and Bada asked him why he is still the same when the world around changed in the last twenty years.
Bada thinks that Uncle Taesun’s restaurant should start doing food deliveries and the uncle was pretty old fashioned because he said he doesn’t believe in deliveries. The reasons why Uncle Taesun is against delivering his wheat noodles is because to him the noodles would get soggy and the broth would cool down, that’s not his famous Busan Wheat noodles in his mind. Uncle Taesun takes pride in his wheat noodles that he has a certain philosophy that he goes by and Bada thinks that he is so proud about his wheat noodles that he is practically the godfather of wheat noodles.
Uncle Taesun thought it would be good if Haneul could join them for this Korean Spicy Rice cake party but according to Jungwoo she is still working. Uncle Tassun was saying it’s been harder and harder to see Haneul’s face as soon as she took the position to become the assistant professor for the university Hospital that she has been working for.
The uncle told Jungwoo to be good to her instead of playing childish pranks by giving her cockroaches and messing with her. Jungwoo was surprised he knew about that. Bada thinks that it’s okay for boyfriend and girlfriend to give each other cockroaches as gifts, just for the fun of it. Jungwoo tried to explain the situation and he was saying that he accidentally dropped a ring he bought for her but unfortunately, it rolled underneath the couch so the shenanigan happened because he was trying to get it out of there.
Uncle Taesun said he won’t tell Haneul about it and he should go get some wet tissue and wipe it clean then she won’t be able to notice that he dropped it under her couch. However, Bada didn’t agree with that because he cares about his big sister so much. Not just that, Haneul shouldn’t be treated that way because she is a big shot now. Uncle Taesun agreed with Bada saying that Haneul is a professor at the university hospital so she should be treated with care.
Bada said it’s not because she is now an assistant professor but the biggest problem is the fact that she’s been single all her life before she met Jungwoo so she’s never received any kind of jewelry from a man before. So therefore Jungwoo’s ring would be the first and the last she will ever receive for the rest of her life so it would be wrong to give her a ring with dust on it that has been playing with the roaches underneath the couch. Bada asked for Jungwoo’s opinion and he agreed to what the little bro was saying while looking kinda down.
Then Jungwoo showed them the bracelet he bought at the same store but Bada said that bracelet isn’t really her thing unfortunately. Bada was telling Jungwoo of that one time when his mom made her a bracelet by melting some gold when she just became a doctor. Haneul didn’t like it so she never wore it, because it was a bit of a hassle whenever she had to go into the surgery room because she would have to take it off when she goes in there. Haneul didn’t like how she had to put it off and on, that was too much of a hassle for her.
Uncle Taesun brought up something about Bada selling off the bracelet to one of the neighborhood pawnshops and he got his asskicked by his sister. Bada was laughing about the time when he sold off that bracelet to a nearby pawn shop then he was looking for the scar that might still be on him.
Jungwoo was in a rush heading back to the jewelry store after hearing what Bada and Uncle Taesun were talking about. The sales lady at the store was wondering why he’s back again and he was out of breath because he practically ran over to the jewelry shop.
This time, he wanted to see a necklace and finally he got home and he started analyzing the three different types of jewelry he bought. Jungwoo thought the ring brought him this awkward situation so he is not so sure about giving her that anymore. Then he looked at the bracelet and said this might not be the kind of gift that Haneul would appreciate. Finally, Jungwoo was looking at the necklace and thought that he could only hope that Haneul would like this one.
Jungwoo’s worry was how and where to give it to her. He thought giving it to her on the sofa where the roaches were impossible and giving it to her in his room would make the situation a bit awkward. The young man thought giving it to her at the hospital she works at would be a bit weird and would want to make him become hospitalized. And now he feels like he is mentally going insane right now cus of this situation.
It was the next morning and Bada ran over to his mom with his phone in one hand. Mrs. Kong was grinding some carrots and Bada was telling her how Jungwoo became a rich man overnight because he got a large sum of money which was exactly 250 Million Won. Haneul’s mom couldn’t believe it so Bada showed his mom the article about it.
The article was basically saying that he got most of the money back from the money he lost because of that incident relating to the Macau Heiress a little while back. Bada asked if Haneul knew about it and obviously she did but she was wondering when the article was posted exactly.
Bada told Haneul that the article was posted pretty recently but he was more into thinking about the fact that Jungwoo didn’t spend that much money on him and his uncle last night. Bada was kinda let down because Jungwoo only bought them the spicy rice cake but didn’t order other items when he has so much money right now. Hanuel’s mom told Bada to stop bothering Jungwoo when she found out that her son and brother asked him to buy them spicy rice cake.
Bada said that they aren’t a bother to Jungwoo because he likes to hang out with them too. Bada was like, Jungwoo doesn’t really have friends anyway so it’s good that we are keeping him company then Haneul was like who said that he doesn’t have any friends?
Bada just loves running his mouth, this guy is a little too straight forward, Haneul’s little brother has no filter whatsoever. Bada was like, I heard not too long ago all of his friends, and colleagues left him when that incident happened also the guy that was like his big brother when he was younger, he died too recently due to an accident….Bada was saying this as he was smiling but Haneul looked heartbroken. It makes sense since this woman really does love that beautiful man named Yeo Jungwoo.
Haneul was upset after hearing that from his own little brother’s big old mouth so she practically stormed out of there and this made Mrs. Kong mad too so she was chasing him again and Bada was like mom stop it, I am just as precious as your daughter, although I am a blabber mouth at times…Bada was on the other side and the dining table was blocking the way so Mrs. Kong could not hit him.
Haneul decided to visit him and before knocking on the door or going inside she decided to call him. She asked if Jungwoo is awake now and he said that he was about to call her because he missed her so much ever since this morning. I love the way Jungwoo sounds when he is so sweet to Haneul like this. I don’t know why but I was able to picture the real Hyungsik sounding like this to his girlfriend, what a lucky girl whoever gets to date this gorgeous man.
Haneul told Jungwoo to count to three then Jungwoo asked if he’ll appear after counting to three then Haneul was like that could be possible so earnestly count to three. Haneul was quietly counting to three then Jungwoo really did appear hehehe…Yeo Jungwoo is such a romantic man and I have a feeling Park Hyungsik would be like this too….
Haneul was surprised because she thought he was home but then he went out for a little jog cus he couldn’t sleep. Jungwoo was like I was on my way back and I saw you so I followed you then Haneul said, oh really? Haneul was sounding cute and sweet to him when she asked him if what he was telling her was indeed true.
Haneul asked Jungwoo if they should have a cup of coffee because she has 15 minutes to spare and he politely invited her into his room. I also liked the way Jungwoo brought the cup of coffee over to Haneul. He did it in a sing-song kinda voice when a eunuch from the Joseon period would bring something for the King/Emperor. I found this funny because Shikkie played the King of Joseon not too long ago but here he was bringing the coffee for Haneul as if he was Haneul’s servant hehehe….
Haneul was enjoying her coffee that Jungwoo made for her and she was telling her how she hasn’t been able to take care of him and spend time with him but Jungwoo was trying his best to make it seem as if he is okay with it cus he doesn’t want to worry her. Jungwoo was like don’t feel bad and just do what you need to do and besides I’m not that kind of guy that will block my woman’s path. Jungwoo got a text message from Bada saying that he loves him all of a sudden and Jungwoo looked so confused.
Haneul knew that Bada was acting and talking all sweet to Jungwoo because the older boy recently got a large sum of money. Haneul knew exactly what Bada was up to, she knew that her little bro was trying to sweet talk his way into getting some money from him. Haneul told Jungwoo not to give her brother any money even if he asks for a small amount. Haneul also added that she wasn’t the one who told her family about Jungwoo getting a large sum of money. Jungwoo was aware that wasn’t the case because he saw an internet article regarding the money he received back from them.
Haneul doesn’t like the fact that the people around them just won’t leave him alone so she’s been quite annoyed by that lately. Haneul thinks that her man has been going through enough hardships already so she doesn’t want him to go through that anymore. Jungwoo was about to say something but she interrupted him and he was gonna say, I’m okay again and she doesn’t want him to just say that everything is okay when it’s not.
Haneul spoke too soon because he wasn’t gonna say that he is okay with the article they wrote about him but he is okay because Haneul is there for him.
Jungwoo is a bit uncomfortable with the article they wrote about him because there were some people that dared to write comments about him saying that he deliberately murdered the patient on purpose when it wasn’t like that at all and of course he was hurt by those people for saying that. However, Jungwoo was even more hurt by the people around him who believed in those rumors and lies more than the people who wrote those nonsensical comments on social media.
Jungwoo said that he doesn’t like his business to be announced to the whole world since it’s so painful for him but what he meant was it’s okay for him to deal with all this drama because Haneul is there to support him.
Jungwoo smiled at Haneul and told her to just focus on the operation next week instead of worrying so much. I loved the way he smiled and played with Haneul’s front hair while he was saying that. Hyungsik’s characters are so good at flirting with their women by softly touching and playing with their hair … .MMMMMM!!! I wish Hyungsik or any of his characters would do that for me too hehehe…
Haneul seemed to understand what Jungwoo was saying then he told her that he worked on the research papers for this particular case and he wanted to show it to her. Jungwoo said it was in his desk drawer but he realized that all the boxes of jewelry he bought were in there and he tried to stop her but they ended up landing on the bed together while facing each other romantically.
Jungwoo and Haneul were looking at each other romantically and the situation got a little awkward then she asked him why he wouldn’t let her open the drawer. Haneul thought just maybe he hid something that’s even crazier than roaches in there hehehehe…
Jungwoo looked at Haneul romantically, seriously and a little awkwardly saying there is something that he wants to give to her. The beautiful couple was looking at each other some more but they both heard a voice and it was Bada looking for Jungwoo Hyung.
And they were right, it was the little Bada but I loved how Jungwoo was laying in a weird position that probably made most girls have an imagination they wished they didn’t have. Jungwoo was pretending that he was just exercising to become healthier lately although he does seem to jog every chance he gets but I guess he doesn’t do cardio types of exercise much though.
Bada was curious as to why his sister was over at Jungwoo’s house and not at work then she told him that it’s because she stopped by real quick to drink some coffee with him. Haneul couldn’t believe that she had to explain everything to her little brother, so she decided to ask him the same question. Bada came to serve breakfast for his dear Jungwoo Hyung and he literally brought everything from the fridge hehehe. No, it’s not that but Bada did bring a few side dishes in the tupperware and most likely he didn’t get his mother’s permission for it.
Bada brought Jungwoo’s favorite side dish, which is stir fried anchovy with peppers, green onion kimchi, seasoned beans, and some Bulgogi. Haneul had a feeling that Bada didn’t get his mother’s permission before bringing this stuff and she thinks he shouldn’t do that since he didn’t pay for it with his money. Bada begs to differ since they are family so family should help each other unconditionally. We are family, so we should all help each other … .I felt like this was a reference to the drama What Happens to my family and I think this show has a lot of references of different Shikkie dramas and not just What Happens to my family.
Bada was telling Haneul that my money is your money and your money is my money, my money is Jungwoo’s money and so his money is my money too. Then Bada looked at Jungwoo and was like, isn’t that right? And Jungwoo gave him that smile like whatever dude. Oh by the way, whenever Hyungsik smiles these days I see a little bit of wrinkles on the side of his eyes but it’s still cute though lol…
Then Bada brought up something about 50,000 won again to Jungwoo and he was like, hyung can you please lend me 50,000 won then Haneul almost violently forced him out of Jungwoo’s room.
Haneul had her arm wrapped around Bada’s neck and Jungwoo was wondering where and when she learned the Guillotine Choking technique from. Bada was acting like a fool even when he was being dragged out of Jungwoo’s apartment.
The younger boy gave his bank account info to the older boy as he was being violently kicked out of Jungwoo’s apartment by his dear sister. Bada was like if 50,000 won is too much you can just give me 30,000 won instead then Haneul smacked him on the back and told him to be quiet. Jungwoo didn’t know how to handle the rascal so he just didn’t say much except for saying okay okay…I thought Bada saying I love you to Jungwoo as he walked out of his apartment was so adorable. Bada just didn’t say I love you but he even did a funny gesture where he had his shoes on the side of his head as he was being dragged out by his sister. The shoes on the side of his head were like rabbit ears or some cute horns, I dunno….
Before Jungwoo closed the door he wished Bada that he’ll survive from his sister’s violent beatings.
————————————————————————————————————————–
As Jungwoo and Daeyoung were walking towards the elevator to go to work the older boy asked the younger boy if he was able to give Haneul the ring yet. Jungwoo told Daeyoung that he hasn’t been able to just yet and Dae thought Jung turned his whole house into a jewelry store but couldn’t give it to Haneul yet and that’s the most pathetic situation ever in his mind.
Jungwoo wants to give Haneul the ring in the most meaningful way possible even if it’s not proposing to her just yet and this is why he is so frustrated about the situation and he is telling his Daeyoung hyung about it. Jungwoo is annoyed about the fact that he is constantly trying to give her the ring at the wrong place and at the wrong time too.
Jungwoo is planning to think about how he is gonna give his lady love the ring once the surgery is over. It seemed like Daeyoung completely forgot about the surgery that Jungwoo is gonna be doing with Haneul. Jungwoo feels bad that he has to take two days off working at Daeyoung’s hospital because of the collaboration that he’s gonna be doing with DaeHan Hospital. Daeyoung is willing to cooperate with Jungwoo since he is gonna be taking days off for a good cause.
Daeyoung asked if Jungwoo is gonna be coming back then he was telling him that he is against him going from hospital to hospital just like how he strongly dislikes people two timing and more.
The most awkward thing happened right after Daeyoung said what he said, as the elevator door opened the two boys ran into Hongran and Nurse Do. My gosh this is so awkward!
Daeyoung couldn’t face Hongran ever since Nurse Do accidentally kissed him although Jungwoo was able to greet the two ladies without a problem but Daeyoung was embarrassed to face both of them. Daeyoung didn’t want to face Hongran and Nurse Do so he was gonna go back out and Jungwoo was like, Hyung come back, aren’t you gonna go to work?
Jungwoo thought that Daeyoung acts weird at times and he is right, Daeyoung is like a big kid sometimes or more like a lot of the time. The mood of the elevator felt very awkward cus of Dae. Jungwoo was looking side to side. He was looking towards Daeyoung and then towards Hongran. Jungwoo realized that something was wrong so he decided to ask Daeyoung if something was going on between him and Hongran. Daeyoung whispered to him and told him to be quiet.
Jungwoo was constantly pestering Daeyoung to tell him what’s going on but he refused to do that. Jungwoo said that it would be better if Daeyoung tells him what’s going on exactly so he would be able to help him with the problem more effectively. Jungwoo had a plan to get them to talk but it made the situation even more awkward cus he decided to duck down and Daeyoung said get lost but Hongran thought he was saying that to her.
Daeyoung was trying his best to explain the misunderstanding when Hongran asked him he just told her to get lost and he was like, I wasn’t talking about you then Nurse Do thought Daeyoung was talking about her. Both of these ladies are dead wrong because obviously he was telling Jungwoo to get lost cus he kept on pestering him about what’s going on with him.
Daeyoung told Nurse Do that he wasn’t talking to her then both of the ladies walked out of the elevator while he was trying to get their attention. The boys were out of the elevator too and Jungwoo started pestering him again then it got cut short thanks to the promotional director.
The promotional director just got off the phone with someone and according to her they have been getting a lot of phone calls inquiring about Jungwoo getting his money back and also about him performing a surgery on a young girl too. The promotional director obviously was also speaking with one of the journalists for a large media company and she told them to write a good article regarding Jungwoo.
Meanwhile, Haneul was talking with her manager at work because she felt that what the hospital did was wrong to use Jungwoo’s situation as a promotional tool.
The manager tried to come up with an excuse saying that they were getting a lot of inquiries from journalists from different media outlets and he also thought this would be a good opportunity to let the world know about the good things that Jungwoo did in the process while revealing the truth about what happened. Haneul told her manager that she won’t be doing the operation with Jungwoo if the hospital is gonna continue to use Jungwoo as a promotional tool.
Haneul’s boss doctor was telling her that the promotional director is already meeting with Jungwoo right now and she was surprised that he was at the hospital right now speaking with the representative regarding the article.
Jungwoo was surprised to run into Haneul and he asked her what she was doing there and she said she came to see him. Haneul asked if he got to speak with the promotional director and he told her that he would think about it. Haneul was wondering why he has to think about it and if it’s because it’s the hospital she is currently working at and doesn’t want to make the situation difficult for her. Jungwoo couldn’t accept what the hospital was doing when it came to exposing the face of the patient.
Jungwoo assured Haneul that everything will be okay because he’s gonna take good care of the situation. Haneul was upset because they wouldn’t leave her dear Jungwoo alone and made things far more difficult for him. Haneul doesn’t like it when people give her Jungwoo a hard time, I could understand where she’s getting at though because when you are in love you don’t want people to do that. Jungwoo suggested that since people are giving him a hard time she should be good to him and she asked how she would be able to do that and the answer was easy, all he wanted was for her to eat a meal with him.
Jungwoo was wondering what time they would be able to eat dinner together but fortunately Haneul’s schedule is open since she doesn’t have any surgery to perform for the day. Jungwoo was waiting at the spot first while Haneul stopped by the house to change into a different pair of clothes for the occasion.
Haneul was wondering who was calling him and why he didn’t pick up the phone call and it was just a journalist that he used to know. Haneul was wondering if the journalist called him for an interview but Jungwoo didn’t say anything except for giving her a light smile.
Haneul ordered a bottle of soju and Jungwoo wanted to know if it’s okay for her to drink and of course she is able to and besides she is so upset that she just had to have a drink in her system.
As the waitress brought the bottle of soju Haneul ordered she got a call from Hongran. Hongran was wondering what Haneul was doing and she told her that she was about to have a drink of soju with Jungwoo. Hongran wanted to join them but Haneul said she just wanted to spend time with Jungwoo alone this time and Hongran thought she was being a little mean.
I could understand where Haneul is coming from since she hasn’t had a quality time with Jungwoo ever since she started her new job as the assistant professor. However, I also feel for Hongran since she needs a lot of support right now but Haneul is coming off a bit standoffish. I honestly think that Haneul and Hongran’s friendship is a little bit more one-sided than Jungwoo and Daeyoung.
Hongran is in a bad mood and she needs support and Haneul asked her why then the sweet Jungwoo whispered to his girlfriend that he is okay with her joining them. Originally, Jungwoo and Haneul were sitting across from each other but they decided to sit next to each other so Hongran could sit across from them.
Hongran said that she feels bad for interrupting their date and Jungwoo said he doesn’t mind. Yeo Jungwoo is such a sweet guy and Nam Haneul isn’t as sweet unfortunately. Hongran was telling the couple that she needs a drink, and she needs it a lot then Jungwoo asked her what was going on earlier, he knew that there was something going on between Hongran and Daeyoung but just didn’t know the exact story.
Hongran was being kinda vague about it and she was saying that particular incident isn’t what’s making her all moody but it did somewhat contribute to her overall mood. Obviously, Haneul was so confused and Hongran was ready to spill the beans but she wasn’t sure if she should be blabbing about it all since Jungwoo is good friends with Daeyoung.
Haneul was surprised that it was about Bin Daeyoung and she thinks that Hongran should tell them since maybe Jungwoo could give her some input since he knows a lot about Daeyoung. Jungwoo was nice enough to say that he will help Hongran as much as possible if she tells them what’s going on.
Then Hongran started to explain everything about her and Daeyoung. She was saying that there was something going on between them and they have been sort of seeing each other and so it made sense for Daeyoung to confess to her and make it official. Yes, Daeyoung was gonna confess to her and make it official but unfortunately she caught him kissing Nurse Do right in front of her although she knew that it wasn’t done intentionally by Daeyoung.
Hongran knew that it happened because Nurse Do tripped over something and ended up kissing him on accident but witnessing that while she was standing right in front of them wasn’t all that good even though it wasn’t done on purpose.
Hongran couldn’t help but to feel like there’s something between Daeyoung and Nurse Do from what she observed at the restaurant. However, Haneul felt like she was reading into things a little too much and Jungwoo agreed with his girlfriend.
Haneul and Hongran took a shot and Jungwoo looked so awkward watching the two girls drink like that in front of him. Hongran said that the childish emotions she’s going through made her realize that she is actually dating him after all.
Hongran couldn’t help but to ask herself if she is doing the right thing for going on with this relationship and it doesn’t help that she has a kid to raise as well. Hongran was saying that she feels so emotional about all this and Haneul was able to understand where she was coming from so she poured her friend a drink.
It’s funny how Jungwoo was timing the ladies taking their shots. Jungwoo was telling Haneul that they are not spacing it out but taking shots like every 15 seconds. I thought it was so cute the way Jungwoo was practically whispering to Haneul saying that she should drink a little slower but Haneul said she’s okay cus she is able to handle her alcohol. Haneul said she is only planning to drink one bottle today because soju is a bit on the bitter side today for some reason.
Jungwoo wasn’t sure if Haneul meant one bottle and Hongran decided to make sure if it was one bottle each or sharing one bottle together. Haneul then answered one bottle each and Hongran was gonna be disappointed in her since half a bottle is too little for one person in Hongran’s mind. Honestly, I think when it comes to soju one bottle is the most perfect when it comes to the regular soju and for the flavored one I would say two since the flavored ones are a little bit weaker.
Hongran was like when you are disappointed then you should have a drink then Haneul was like we should take a shot. Jungwoo was trying to stop them cus he figured that once they start going he might not be able to stop them and they will become a mess later.
I just got a kick out of Jungwoo’s facial expression because he seems to know what’s gonna happen to them but doesn’t know what to do about it. Jungwoo felt like they are drinking too fast and he is right because when you drink fast even though you are not drinking very much you are able to feel it but if you pace yourself and hydrate yourself at the same time you won’t get drunk as fast even if you drink a lot.
Jungwoo went to go get two bottles of water for the ladies and he knew it because they passed out on one of the benches at a nearby park. Jungwoo bought two ramen bowls for the ladies, along with a can of canned kimchi then once he settled them down on one of the benches, he got two bottles of water for them. Jungwoo knew it was gonna be exactly like this.
It’s funny how Jungwoo was babying Haneul, tapping her on the back and sweetly trying to wake her up to eat her ramen bowl. I think Jungwoo would be a good father but not just Jungwoo but also Hyungsik too.
Hongran managed to get up and eat her noodles that were in front of her but not Haneul though.Haneul was acting like a big baby, and I think ever since she met and started dating Jungwoo she’s become more immature since she has a man to take care of her emotional needs.
Jungwoo was making sure that his girlfriend was breathing but she still refused to wake up and eat her noodles. Hongran was like, Haneul these noodles are so good while looking at Jungwoo. Then Jungwoo was like I’m not Haneul, I’m Jungwoo and Honran was like since when? Jungwoo was smiling at Hongran awkwardly and was like I was Jungwoo from the very beginning. And Hongran was like, are you drunk? Then he started laughing because things were getting a little too weird with Haneul’s friend. Jungwoo was like, Hongran you are the one who is drunk hehehehe…
Haneul finally woke up and Jungwoo told her that it’s time for her to eat some noodles and she was like who are you? Jungwoo looked a little surprised because his girlfriend didn’t even recognize him. Jungwoo had his hand on her shoulder and told her that he is her boyfriend. Haneul’s face was red because she is a little too drunk right now. As she looked at Jungwoo having that drunken person’s face, she asked since when he became her boyfriend then he answered that he’s been her boyfriend for three months now.
Jungwoo felt like an idiot talking to two drunk ladies that were just talking complete nonsense. Jungwoo was helping her set up her wooden chopsticks so she could eat her ramen bowl already but she was trying to eat her bottle of water that’s not even opened yet then Jungwoo was like, Miss girlfriend you should drink that after you open it first in the most polite way ever. Sometimes, Jungwoo had a habit of speaking to her in jondaemal/polite/formal speech.
Jungwoo then used polite speech to say that he’s gonna open the bottle for her and Haneul said thank you to her in formal speech as well.
Jungwoo was helping Haneul drink her water then Daeyoung showed up. Daeyoung called Jungwoo’s full name really loud and Hongran was like, oh crap it’s Bin Daeyoung.
Hongran was the one who called Daeyoung but she asked him if Jungwoo was the one who called Daeyoung over. Then suddenly Haneul decided to hide her water bottle in her jacket pocket.
Haneul and Hongran were both fighting over the smallest things while they were still drunk. Hongran dropped something and Haneul was taking her frustrations out on her saying it’s her fault for dropping it or something along the lines of that.
Jungwoo was like okay okay, it’s all good trying to get the ladies to stop arguing about the stupidest crap. I love the way Jungwoo/Hyungsik goes, Joassuh which means it’s all good in Korean.
The two women were so drunk that their men had to give them piggy back rides. I envy Haneul/Park Shinhye, I could only dream that Jungwoo/Hyungsik would give me a piggyback ride like that hehehe…
Daeyoung was wondering how much Haneul and Hongran drank earlier. Jungwoo had to clarify that they didn’t really drink much but they did drink fast though. Daeyoung was like, how come you didn’t stop them from drinking so fast and Jungwoo was like this is all your fault, hyung! Jungwoo was right, if Hongran didn’t join them then Jungwoo and Haneul would have taken their time with the drinks.
Jungwoo told Daeyoung that he is not the worst but Daeyoung is the one that is the worst and the older boy didn’t understand why though. Now the two men were arguing about the stupidest crap. Jungwoo told Daeyoung that he heard everything from Hongran and Daeyoung thought that the younger boy should know that the whole incident was just an accident.
Daeyoung called Jungwoo a bastard and it woke up the sleeping Haneul. Haneul was on defensive mode, defending her man. Haneul was like, did you call my Jungwoo a bastard? Why do you always give Jungwoo a hard time?! Then Jungwoo agreed with her. And Hongran was backing up Daeyoung by asking her why she is giving her man such a hard time when he is going through his own drama right now.
Then Haneul was saying that Jungwoo is the sorriest guy on that street and Hongran was trying to outdo her by saying that Daeyoung is the sorriest guy in Seoul. Haneul tried to top that and said that Jungwoo is the sorriest guy in all of Asia. Daeyoung thought that this whole fight was silly because the men are the horses and the women are the warriors fighting against each other.
Daeyoung was like before things get worse we’ll take a cab home and Jungwoo was like that’s a good idea, hurry up and go. I could see why the guys were trying to take the matters into their own hands because these women were becoming too much for them to handle.
Haneul was grabbing onto Jungwoo’s head and still talking like a drunkard saying that Jungwoo is the sorriest guy in Asia and even the entire world while Daeyoung ran away from the scene as fast as he was able to.
Jungwoo was trying his best to balance himself because he was losing his balance and couldn’t carry Haneul properly. Jungwoo was like, I’m the man who is the sorriest right now. Jungwoo looked so exhausted and he barely had any energy left to carry her so he called for a cab so they could just go home already. Jungwoo called out really loud, TAXI!
Jungwoo was out of breath because he had to carry her all the way to her room and he laid her on the bed in her room. Haneul’s mother was wondering why her daughter was so drunk. Jungwoo tried to come up with a way to make up a good excuse for his girlfriend so she won’t have to be embarrassed by her mother. Jungwoo said that Haneul hasn’t had any drinks in a while so that’s why she couldn’t handle her alcohol which made her become so wasted like that.
Mrs. Kong smacked her grown daughter in the butt because she’s so embarrassed by her daughter’s behavior then Haneul was making a call somewhere and Jungwoo was wondering who she was calling. Haneul was calling her mother to tell her that she won’t be able to make it home because she has to work overnight and as soon as she hung up the phone she was telling Jungwoo that she lied to her mom. Haneul told Jungwoo that she’s gonna spend the night over at his place and he had his mouth open because of the shock.
As soon as Haneul’s mother hung up the phone she gave Jungwoo the look, the look of approval although Jungwoo was rather embarrassed by it and was trying to explain to her that he has no intentions of doing anything to her daughter. Haneul’s mom wanted to let them be so she left her daughter’s room but Jungwoo was still looking embarrassed.
Meanwhile, Daeyoung was trying to help Hongran walk it off so she could be sober. They found a nearby bench to sit at. Daeyoung was asking if Hongran is doing okay. Daeyoung asked if he should go get a drink that’ll help her sober up and she said that wasn’t necessary because she drank to get wasted so it’s useless trying to sober back up.
Daeyoung was explaining to Hongran he didn’t mean what he said while they were on the elevator earlier and also it wasn’t his intention to kiss Nurse Do either. Hongran was aware that Daeyoung didn’t mean any of that, so Daeyoung asked her why she never answers his KakaoTalk messages and also never answers when he calls her.
Hongran then went on to say that dating is kinda like getting drunk. It’s like when you are drinking like a crazy person thoughtlessly it makes you feel good because it makes you feel like you are dreaming on cloud nine.
Hongran also thinks that you can’t help but to laugh about nothing and walk on cloud 9 when you are drinking and also when you are in love. But if you keep on pouring on drinks just because you feel good you end up becoming a mess according to Hongran. Hongran promised herself that she would never fall in love with someone again after she got a divorce. She thought that dating would be no use since she has to look after her little boy anyway. And to hongran having a relationship with someone was nothing but pain.
Hongran was feeling so good lately because Daeyoung has been so good to her and taking good care of her while having a good time. He was there to help her whenever she was in need but she was scared that if she kept on going at it she might get hurt in the end like the pain that you feel the next morning with a terrible hangover. Hongran was being honest with Daeyoung and expressing her fears about relationships. After pouring out her innermost thoughts to Daeyoung, she put her head on his shoulder peacefully. I think by this point Hongran decided to let him in bit by bit.
——————————————————————————————————————————-
Haneul was half awake and she was talking in her sleep. She was yelling out that everyone should just leave Jungwoo alone, or else she is not gonna let them live. Haneul finally completely woke up and realized that she’s been sleeping in the living room but didn’t have any idea how and why she ended up sleeping there instead of her bedroom. Then Bada told her sister that she’s the one who made her bed in the living room in the middle of the night but she still couldn’t believe that she’s the one who did that.
Haneul’s mom told Jungwoo that she won’t be able to give her daughter away to him because she’s so embarrassed how she acts after she drinks and Haneul was like what are you talking about mom? I didn’t do anything……Haneul still seems oblivious or she is pretending that she has no idea how she came home the night before.
Mrs. Kong expressed that she’s never been that embarrassed about Haneul since the day she was born and Bada was shocked to hear his mom actually saying that for the first time in his life.
It’s cus Mrs. Kong only expressed how embarrassed she is towards him but never with Haneul so that’s why he couldn’t help but to feel surprised about this. Then the uncle decided to chime in and said that sometimes in life it’s okay to be drunk and it’s also okay to be a mess then Haneul was like, I was a mess? Haneul thought she wasn’t that much of a mess and this goes to show that she knew what they were talking about but she was just too embarrassed to admit to it in front of her boyfriend.
Jungwoo told Haneul to eat up with that goofy looking smile of his. Jungwoo was in his room now getting ready for work and he was thinking about the way Haneul acted last night before they got home when she was trying to eat the water bottle whole and also when Haneul was laying in bed saying that she lied to her mother and she wants to spend the night over at his place. Jungwoo was looking at himself in the mirror and saying how cute Haneul really is. For some reason this part reminds me of Ahn Minhyuk from SWDBS a little because he expressed how cute Bongsoon was in that show too and quite often at that.
I loved how Jungwoo looked at himself in the mirror and said, alright, looking good, you are a cool looking guy. As soon as Jungwoo came out of his apartment he saw his old high school friend, Kim Moo Geun. Jungwoo was surprised to see Moogeun in front of his apartment. Jungwoo was asking what Moogeun was doing in front of his apartment and he said that he came to see him because of Nam Haneul. Jungwoo had no idea what Moogeun was talking about and he said that Haneul called him late at night while shitfaced drunk. Haneul was able to find out Moogeun’s phone number through Minho who owns that pork belly restaurant.
Moogeun told Jungwoo that Haneul made him go over to Jungwoo and apologize and if he doesn’t she won’t let him live. Jungwoo couldn’t believe it but Moogeun thought he was glad that he could use Haneul as an opportunity because he wanted to make amends with Jungwoo once and for all. Moogeun said he wanted to call Jungwoo but he was embarrassed to call him because of what he did before. Moogeun was scared that Jungwoo wouldn’t like it if he called him.
Moogeun went over to Jungwoo’s apartment with a basket full of fruit and he finally apologized to him with his own mouth, he said, I’m so sorry Jungwoo…..Yeah! Jungwoo is finally getting everything back to how it was but except better now that he has Haneul as his girlfriend and also her family that cares about him.
Moogeun explained why he ended up betraying him before, he was saying that he didn’t realize that his friendship towards Jungwoo was that small but he couldn’t help it because he didn’t know how he would be able to survive after that happened. Moogeun said he regrets betraying him so he’ll just live somewhere in the corner as a punishment for what he did to his friend.
Jungwoo was like, you are making me feel awkward acting like this and Moogeun was telling him how he is willing to kneel if he has to. I couldn’t help but let out a small laugh because back in Our Blooming Youth, Jungwoo was the King/Prince of Joseon while Moogeun was one of his personal eunuchs lol….Moogeun was like, I’ll kneel right now and I have plenty of knees to kneel down for you then Jungwoo was like, you are overreacting dude…
Jungwoo said to Moogeun that he will accept his apology. Moogeun brought a basket full of apples and Sagwa is apples in Korean. Also Sagwa means apology in Korean too so there’s a bit of wordplay going on there. Jungwoo came down to see his friend go and Moogeun actually wanted to see him next time and perhaps even hang out with him as old friends.
Jungwoo got a phone call from the promotional director at Daehan hospital, the hospital that Haneul is working at. The promotional director asked Jungwoo to ignore what they said about taking a photo of the child that they were planning to do before and Jungwoo was a bit taken aback by this.
Haneul called the promotional director last night and was very firm about the situation about them taking a picture of the child that they are gonna be operating on. Haneul told the lady that they won’t perform a surgery on the child if they go ahead with their original plan and expose the child’s face. The promoter apologized for burdening him with something like this but Jungwoo didn’t look bothered by this at all but maybe he was a bit touched because of Haneul’s actions.
Jungwoo remembered what Haneul said the other day, he thought all this going on has to do with that. After breakfast, Jungwoo went into Haneul’s room to cheer her up and as he fed her a cup of water he asked her why she drank so much and she told him because she was upset regarding him. Jungwoo was very attentive and he was willing to hear her out. Haneul opened up to Jungwoo saying that she’s seen him unhappy more than anything ever since they got together as a couple. Haneul still remembers the day when Jungwoo was sitting by himself as the plaintiff in court. She was saying how she can’t help but to cry when she thinks about that day.
Haneul didn’t feel good when she saw Jungwoo being insulted for no good reason and even the trusted people in his life left him too. What made her even more upset was the fact that people only looked for him when he got a huge sum of money when they didn’t come and comfort him when his whole life collapsed and lost everything. On top of that Jungwoo was willing to even come up with a way to help other people with the money that he got back from the lawsuit.
Haneul was still looking a bit drunk, you could tell that she’s not quite sober yet. She was saying that Jungwoo is a great guy but she still pities him in a way. Then she expressed how bad she’s been feeling because he wasn’t her priority and she couldn’t take care of him first before anything else.
It made Haneul really sad because he wasn’t the number one on her list to take care of. I loved the way Jungwoo looked into her eyes and said while playing with her hair, oh did you really feel that way? I just love the way Jungwoo plays with Haneul’s hair, it’s so cute. Haneul was like if anybody mistreats you from now on, I’m not gonna let them live. Haneul loves Jungwoo a lot and it’s so obvious even though she could be a little too obsessed with work although it’s not as bad as it used to be. Haneul looked at Jungwoo with her big round eyes saying that she will make the people that hurt him apologize to him.
I just love the way Jungwoo smiles, especially the ones that show his teeth. I love the way Park Hyungsik smiles, he is so adorable like a puppy and that’s why his nickname is DdengDengyi and Mungmoongyi which means puppy in Korean.
No wonder Haneul gave him a puppy hat as a gift in one of the previous Dr. Slump episodes. Haneul told Jungwoo that she called all those people that needed to apologize to him. Jungwoo was thinking about what Haneul said earlier and put a smile on his face.
Jungwoo shook his head because he figured out what Haneul was telling him earlier this morning. Jungwoo turned around and he saw Haneul coming downstairs. Haneul asked Jungwoo if he is going to work just yet and then she said see you later to him then shyly heading away to work but Jungwoo wanted to go with her. She was complaining that Jungwoo didn’t stop her when she was drinking like that but now he felt like he had to understand where she was coming from since she was doing that out of care for her boyfriend.
Haneul shyly asked Jungwoo if she was really that much of a mess last night but he told her that she wasn’t that bad off the night before. Haneul was curious if she made a fool out of herself and did something bad and Jungwoo told her that she didn’t. Jungwoo was like you didn’t do anything wrong but there was one thing and Haneul was like I did something wrong, didn’t I? Jungwoo told Haneul that she was wrong about one thing which was her saying that she saw him unhappy most of the time since they became a couple but he begs to differ because he thinks that there were more happy times for him ever since they became one as a couple.
Jungwoo and Haneul took medicine together so his pain was at least half way reduced thanks to Haneul being there with him. And he was able to learn how you can make your sadness disappear through Haneul being there with him. Also, Jungwoo was able to believe in the warm spirit of love because he saw Haneul being more in pain when he was hurt than himself. So this is why he wanted to give to others that need it the most because of the warm love he received from Haneul. Jungwoo wanted to make this happen using his own method which was to help someone through what he knows how to do best.
One of the main professors at the university brought up Jungwoo canceling all the interviews but Jungwoo had no other choice but to do that because he didn’t want to kill the real meaning of their work. The professor complimented Jungwoo for the right decision he made. Jungwoo appreciated the professor being so considerate about his needs and he also felt grateful for the professor for accepting to be part of the process as well. The professor thought it wasn’t really a big deal because it’s something that is so meaningful so he should take part in something like this.
The professor, Jungwoo and the team went into the room to talk to the little Filipina girl that they are gonna be operating on. The professor asked the little girl if she slept well and how she’s feeling.
The little Filipina girl answered the professor in her native Tagalog language and the translator had to translate what the girl was saying. The child slept well because the bed was comfortable and the professor gave the little girl a big smile.
Then the child’s mom was speaking to the doctor in Tagalog. The professor, Jungwoo and the team had no idea what the mother was saying but they smiled at her then the translator was interpreting what the mother was saying again. The little girl’s mother basically thanked the doctors for their help and Jungwoo told the child’s mother not to worry because they are gonna do their best with the surgery that they are gonna be performing today.
The translator translated everything to the child’s mother again and she thanked the doctors for their help while doing their best. The child’s mother greeted the doctors in Korean, she managed to learn one word which was Kamsahapnida and that means Thank You in Korean, a very basic word that most people tend to learn first. The little girl was holding onto her stuffed toy and smiling at the doctors. I guess there was concern in her eyes but her face was basically saying, it might be hard but I’m prepared, kind of look.
The professor suggested Jungwoo be in charge of the surgery but he was surprised because he felt like it’s really not his place to do so. Jungwoo thought he wasn’t good enough to do that because there are other people like the professor who would be better off to be in charge of the surgery.
However, the professor begged to differ because he saw potential in Jungwoo since he’s done volunteering in the past and helped with the surgeries then. The professor thought that maybe he could possibly get some good ideas by watching Jungwoo do his thing. Also, the professor told Jungwoo that he would be better off operating on the child since he is more invested in her emotionally than he is. The professor thought that Jungwoo is plenty ready since he most likely did some research on this patient’s case so now he should be the one designing the surgery.
Jungwoo looked like he had a lot of worries just by looking at his face but the professor believed he had potential so he wanted him to take the lead with this particular operation. Jungwoo was sighing after the professor was gone and he had a lot of concern on his face because he had a lot on his shoulders which I could totally understand although I feel the same way as the professor about him having the potential to take the lead here.
I really envy the little Filipina girl because Jungwoo/Hyungsik was touching her face while designing the surgery although he had rubber/latex gloves on. Jungwoo looked so cute the way he was designing the surgery and he looks so sexy while he is super focused as well. Jungwoo told the little girl to turn away a little so he could do the other side. Jungwoo asked the little girl to turn her head here and there so he could design the surgery properly. This little girl basically needs an ear surgery and remove the little lumpy parts on one of the ears.
It was time for the operation and it was time to get serious. I think the surgery that Jungwoo and Haneul did for their teacher was almost like a practice surgery for the both of them where it was just practice but this time it’s foreals.
Haneul was getting ready to do anesthesia on the child patient and she told the little girl to breathe comfortably. The translator was interpreting what Haneul was saying in Tagalog. Haneul asked one of the assistants to give her 35 mgs of propofol. The nurse told Haneul that she is gonna put the 35 mgs of propofol into the patient. Haneul was patting the little girl on the head, letting her know that everything will be alright. Haneul ordered the assistant to turn on the anesthesia gas then Jungwoo came in.
Jungwoo/Hyungsik looks so sexy in the blue scrubs. Well, Jungwoo looks good in anything and everything which we covered numerous times regarding that already but I never get sick of talking about that.
Haneul greeted Jungwoo as soon as he entered the operating room. I loved the way Jungwoo and Haneul looked so beautiful even though you can’t really see them because of their surgical masks covering up their faces. Jungwoo and Haneul were staring at each other lovingly and their eyes were twinkling and it’s also easy to tell that they were smiling too although their masks were covering up their mouths.
Jungwoo asked if he is able to start the operation and Haneul answered that he can start immediately. Jungwoo told the professor that they will each pick parts that they are comfortable doing for this particular surgery. The professor agreed with Jungwoo’s idea. Jungwoo asked for the mass, the surgical tool that will get the job done. I’ve seen plenty of Korean medical dramas to know this and the person that’s in charge of the surgery always says, give me the mass please so I’ve heard plenty of different actors saying this line but SHIKKIE SOUNDS THE SEXIEST WHEN SAYING THIS LINE! JUNGWOO/SHIKKIE’S VOICE SOUNDS LIKE HONEY NO MATTER WHAT HE SAYS!
I wouldn’t mind Jungwoo working on me, he is so sexy when he is so focused on something like that. While Jungwoo, the professor and some other assistants are operating on the girl, Haneul is very focused monitoring everything. When it comes to surgery, it seems to take a lot of teamwork. The professor seemed a little concerned because it was a lot more difficult than they anticipated so he asked Dr. Song if there are any special circumstances they need to know about this girl. Dr. Song told the professor that there’s nothing wrong with this child except for that microtia thing she originally came in for.
The professor was trying to keep his cool but he was obviously freaking out because the blood was gushing out while he was cutting up the little lumps on the girl’s ear. Then Jungwoo said that a pleural tear just happened so the men in the operating room were helping each other with the problem while Haneul was monitoring the screens and noticed that the Tidal Volume isn’t coming on very well. Jungwoo was saying that there might be damage in the lung so they must take care of it right away. Jungwoo was telling Haneul that the girl’s lung might be injured due to a severe cut then he told Haneul to let him know if they are out of saturation.
Man these medical terminologies/Jargons are killing me. Maybe I should do some more reading on medical stuff so when I see it on these K-dramas I would be able to get it without a problem.
Jungwoo told Haneul that he’ll try his best to wrap it up as quickly as possible and he told her to endure it as long as is able to. And of course, Haneul yes since she is there to follow his orders for the most part. Haneul was telling Jungwoo that if they are able to maintain the ventilation, she will do the ventilation with just one lung. Haneul told one of the assistants to prepare the bronchial blocker and bronchoscopy. Haneul gave the assistant some urgency so she could move as quickly as possible since they are dealing with an urgent situation after all. Haneul also asked the assistant to contact the Cardiovascular Surgery Department.
Jungwoo asked the professor to hold onto something while he took a look at the problem. The professor agreed and went over to where Jungwoo was standing moments earlier and he held the parts together while Jungwoo went over there to take a look at it.
Jungwoo was looking into the problem and Haneul seemed to be worried about what was going on. Jungwoo found out that there could be something around the wall of the lungs that looked like a scar of some kind and that’s why they were having a hard time trying to operate on it then a little piece of it got torn off. The professor agreed with what Jungwoo was saying because he wasn’t able to operate on it because something was constantly getting caught. The professor was asking Dr. Song why there’s a scar on the patient when he said there was nothing really special going on besides what she came here for.
Dr. Song looked into it but there wasn’t anything else that was wrong with her. And also according to the x-ray there was nothing else that indicated something different either. Haneul was on urgent mode, she was telling everybody that the patient’s saturation is dropping and it’s already at 94% and it’s gonna drop very soon.
Haneul was saying that the air is constantly leaking out due to the lung injury. Haneul said that the people from the cardiovascular department should come asap to take a look at the situation. Somebody from the cardiovascular department finally came and said he was gonna take a look at the patient. The guy from the cardiovascular department said that there was pleura and an adhesion in the lungs. The guy from the CS was wondering if this patient went through TB at one point. Dr. Song told the CS guy that this patient didn’t have any respiratory illnesses from his understanding.
Haneul remembered something from earlier, she remembered reading something from the form that the little girl’s mom filled out and according to that she grew up coughing a lot. Jungwoo realized that the x-ray and the CT couldn’t have picked up any signs of the after effects of a previous lung condition.
The CS guy was saying that the alveolar damage isn’t so big that it’s a bit of a relief. So all they have to do is to put together the part that’s torn and insert in the chest tube then wait while. The CS guy did his part and Haneul told her teammates that she’s gonna make sure that nothing is leaking from here on out. According to the CS guy, nothing is leaking which is a fortunate situation.
Haneul was gonna check and see if the ventilation was leaking at all. The tidal volume isn’t leaking and it’s doing quite well according to Dr. Nam. Jungwoo was relieved that everything was fine and he thanked Dr. Nam for her hard work and he’ll do the rest. The doctor from the CS department thanked everyone and everyone else there thanked each other as well. Jungwoo asked for the tools that he would need to wrap it up.
Haneul was narrating again and she was talking about how this surgery wasn’t a life or death situation nor was it an extremely difficult one either but she realized that it was the turning point of their lives. Jungwoo asked for more tools to finish up the operation. Haneul thought that Jungwoo finally overcame his trauma completely for the most part and Jungwoo realized that his woman found her place in the world again. Looking back, the place where they fell into a slump was the turning point in their lives. According to Haneul’s narration the time when they thought everything was over was really the beginning.
The surgery was successfully over and Jungwoo told the translator to tell the mother that there’s gonna be a second surgery in six months and if something happens be sure to call them and let them know about it.
Jungwoo thanked the child and the mother for enduring through such an operation and the interpreter translated that. The little girl, Rhea, thanked Jungwoo and Haneul for operating on her and the kids at her school won’t make fun of her anymore. Jungwoo knelt down and held the little girl’s hands and said that he was happy that he was able to help her with a big smile. Jungwoo/Hyungsik is such father and husband material. I think both Jungwoo and Hyungsik would be good fathers and husbands when they get married.
Jungwoo told Raeh to have fun in school then Haneul knelt down too and told her that she has something to give her. The little girl opened up the box and Jungwoo was like TA-DA! Oh man, I could totally see Jungwoo and Haneul with a child after they get married. Since Park Shinhye is already married with a kid so she would know what it’s like to have children but Park Hyungsik is still single so he probably wouldn’t hehehe…
Haneul bought Reah a little headband with a ribbon on it. Haneul was like, wow it’s so pretty and Jungwoo said the exact thing but in Korean. Rhea was happy and so was her mother for obvious reasons. The translator told Jungwoo and Haneul that they have to go since they have a plane to catch. The translator thanked the two doctors for their hard work and Jungwoo greeted her back and thanked them too. Everyone thanked each other and said their goodbyes. I thought Jungwoo waving at the little girl was so cute.
After everyone left Jungwoo turned around to Haneul and thanked her for her hard work with that signature sweet voice of his and Haneul thanked Jungwoo for his hard work too with her cute little smile. Haneul asked Jungwoo if he wanted to eat something nice together since their operation on Reah was a success. Jungwoo said he had somewhere to be and then we see his two high school friends that have their own Korean Chicken Kabab place.
The two of Jungwoo’s friends were trying to sell their kabob to a guy and his girlfriend walking by but they didn’t seem interested. Poor Moogeun and Chanyoung. Jungwoo told Haneul that he was gonna go see someone today and it was Moogeun and Chanyoung. The friends were surprised that Jungwoo was there and Moogeun asked him if he came to see him and Chanyoung. Jungwoo said he came to see them and to check to see if they are making good Kabobs or not. Moogeun thanked his dear friend for visiting them. Moogeun took it as a sign of Jungwoo forgiving them so he thanked him for accepting his apology. Moogeun went over to Jungwoo and hugged and started crying. Moogeun was scared that he would never forgive him and he would just miss him forever. Moogeun is a lucky bastard too, anybody that gets a hug from Jungwoo/Hyungsik is a lucky person.
Chanyoung wasn’t like Moogeun at all, he was just pretending that he was working so Jungwoo was like, why aren’t you greeting me and not apologizing to me? Jungwoo couldn’t believe that Chanyoung hurt Jungwoo’s feelings and he was still able to shove chicken kabobs down his throat.
Then Chanyoung was like, what do you mean? All I do is just grill the meat and that’s all. Chanyoung ended up crying and apologizing to Jungwoo. Moogeun was hugging Jungwoo really tight, still crying and yes, I love their bromance, they are so tight like Hyungsik and his Wooga brothers! Oh I also love the bromance of Hyungsik and his F4 besties he’s known since elementary school.
Chanyoung opened up and said that he thought Jungwoo would never talk to them ever again. Jungwoo said he was thinking about doing that but he realized that without his two best friends from high school he would have nothing left after losing them. Moogeun apologized to Jungwoo too because he felt like he took a lot of the ad revenue from Jungwoo without him knowing and they will pay him back once they hit it big with this chicken kabob business.
Chanyoung was going through a lot at the time because his girlfriend got pregnant and his mother had a cancer relapse so he was going through a lot himself. Chanyoung was at the end of his rope at the time so that’s why he treated Jungwoo like that which he didn’t mean at all.
Chanyoung was saying that his circumstances made him go nuts for a while. Jungwoo couldn’t help but to be concerned about what his bestie Chanyoung was telling him so he asked him if his mother is doing okay now. Fortunately, Chanyoung’s mother got a surgery for her cancer relapsing on her and it went well and his son is gonna be born pretty soon too. Jungwoo was relieved that everything was okay with Chanyoung and his family.
Moogeun was asking Jungwoo if something happened between him and Nam Haneul and Jungwoo’s facial expression changed then he was like what do you mean? Moogeun brought up the time when they had their high school reunion at Minho’s pork belly place not too long ago. And to make the matters worse, Haneul called Moogeun so he could tell him to apologize to Jungwoo while she was practically yelling at him. Moogeun thought it was obvious that Jungwoo and Haneul are dating so he asked him directly, are you going out with Haneul?
Jungwoo was about to explain the situation but then Chanyoung smacked the crap out of Moogeun’s head and said, Jungwoo basically forgave us, do you want him to lose connections with him again, huh?! The two friends had no idea that Haneul was there listening in. Jungwoo saw Haneul and he greeted her with his cute little eye smile.
Chanyoung then said something he shouldn’t have said though. Chanyoung was like, are you serious? Do you think Jungwoo is that crazy to date such an intense girl like Nam Haneul?! Chanyoung has no idea that Haneul is there listening to what he is saying hehehe…
Haneul decided to sit next to Jungwoo and asked the lady to bring her a glass then the two friends finally realized that Haneul was there too. Haneul said hello to Chanyoung and he started stuttering, not knowing what to say then he asked her what was going on over there.
Jungwoo was the one who called Haneul over and he finally decided to tell his two best friends from high school that he is indeed dating Nam Haneul. Both Chanyoung and Moogeun were in shock asking if he was foreal.
Moogeun thought Jungwoo must have done something terribly wrong to fall into the traps of Nam Haneul. Moogeun was so confused because from his memory the two really hated each other back in school so it was really difficult for him to understand that they are together. Moogeun was wondering how it all happened and Jungwoo was like it just happened that way.
Both Chanyoung and Moogeun were disgusted by Jungwoo’s behavior. The behavior that made the two friends disgusted was the way Jungwoo was patting Haneul on the head but it wasn’t just the patting on the head either. Jungwoo was like, Haneul you are so adorable eek….I don’t blame the two friends for being a little disgusted by this hehehe…
Haneul said she didn’t come over to see Moogeun and Chanyoung but to spy on them to see if they are gonna be good to her Yeo Jungwoo or not. Haneul saw how these two boys treated her man before and she didn’t want that to happen again. Haneul just called Chanyoung and Moogeun so they could just apologize to Jungwoo and she is really not a fan of Jungwoo making these kinds of hanging out arrangements with these boys. Haneul said she came out to remind them to always remember what they did and be sorry about it forever.
Haneul was gonna teach Chanyoung a lesson for calling Jungwoo a crazy guy for dating a woman like Nam Haneul. Haneul was like, do you want me to cuss you out and see how you like it?!
Moogeun opened his big mouth saying that Chanyoung used to like Haneul and used to follow her around so he had to write a paper on it saying he won’t do that again. Jungwoo was confused about hearing about this so he asked Chanyoung, you followed who now?
Chanyoung said it was nothing serious, it was more like something that a young boy goes through when they just see a pretty girl. Chanyoung said it’s just a good ol memory that a man keeps in his heart. Jungwoo couldn’t believe that one of his best friends from high school had a thing for his dear little Nam Haneul.
Chanyoung was trying to work on a math problem and he was having such a hard time. Chanyoung was so frustrated that he wasn’t able to solve this particular math problem and he was making all kinds of noises that annoyed the heck out of Haneul. Chanyoung tried to solve math problems in so many different ways and he couldn’t so he was like, I’m not gonna do it, I won’t solve it anymore! I won’t do it! I won’t!
Haneul was able to solve the problem for Chanyoung so easily and it didn’t help that Haneul’s long and silky hair got the boy pretty good. What do you expect from a growing teenage boy, once you hit puberty, your hormones start racing so you are more prone to things that are beautiful looking.
Haneul was like, this is so easy, why are you being so loud and making a fuss out of something so easy like this?!
Starting from that day on, Chanyoung was more or less hitting on Haneul. One day when Haneul was walking around the campus while looking at her book like usual and Chanyoung asked her if she likes Pikachu Tonkatsu cus if she does then he would treat her out to go get some. Chanyoung was like, Pikachu Tonkatsu is really good when you put half ketchup and half mustard on it with a glass of cider so let’s go!
Chanyoung decided to just cut the crap and get straight to the point. Chanyoung told her that Haneul is the prettiest number one student he’s ever seen. Chanyoung told Haneul that when he saw her on the first day of her transferring over to his school, he thought it was a goddess who decided to attend their school. Chanyoung said Haneul is the prettiest number one student he’s ever seen since he came into the world. Chanyoung decided to be even more blunt by saying she’s just the prettiest of them all.
Then their teacher came and grabbed Chanyoung by the arm and said he is the stupidest student he’s ever had. The teacher was like, Pikachu Tonkatsu my butt, did you get electrified by that rat?! Whoever wrote the script for Dr. Slump likes video games. I bet the writer plays not only Tetris but I think this person might also be nerdy enough to play POKEMON!
The teacher was pulling onto Chanyoung’s ear and told Haneul that she should continue studying since he will take care of this Pikachu for her, meaning Chanyoung.
Jungwoo was now becoming a jealous boyfriend,he didn’t need to be because it seemed like it was nothing serious anyway. Jungwoo was so fuming that he took a shot to make his jealousy go away. Then Chanyoung was starting to explain to Jungwoo that he couldn’t help but to feel that way temporarily because Haneul helped him solve that one math problem he was having difficulty solving. Chanyoung was just moved by the way she helped him solve that math problem. I do think that Chanyoung did have a thing for Haneul but like he said it was something light and nothing serious.
Haneul decided to be straightforward with Chanyoung while she’s at it. She said she helped Chanyoung solve that annoying math problem for her and not for him and it was because he was making too much noise that she couldn’t concentrate on her own studies.
Jungwoo agreed with Haneul and said to Chanyoung that his girlfriend is not the type to help solve somebody else’s problem for nothing. Jungwoo was wondering how in the world Chanyoung was such a delusional kid when they were all in high school. Jungwoo couldn’t believe that Chanyoung was delusional back then when he was the one who used to talk crap about Haneul all the time.
Chanyoung was like let’s be straight here, even though I did a lot of things to upset you but in reality, you are the one that talked crap about Haneul most of the time and not me and all we did was play along with your tune.
Jungwoo seemed clueless not knowing what Chanyoung was talking about and he called him crazy for saying things like that. Jungwoo was like when did I do such a thing, talking smack about my dear Haneul and Moogeun was like, I’m pretty sure you talked crap about her almost everyday.
Moogeun said that Jungwoo always talked about how he hated seeing Haneul that was so crazy about studying so much. Moogeun added that Jungwoo even said something horrible like he hated Haneul so much that he wouldn’t even want to cross paths with her if he could help it and Chanyoung agreed to what Moogeun was saying too. Jungwoo was kicking Chanyoung so he could stop it already and also get Moogeun to shut up too but he couldn’t really kick Moogeun since he was sitting kinda far from him.
Chanyoung was telling Jungwoo something about whenever she solved an equation then Moogeun was like, I can’t really say this with my own mouth. Then we got into a flashback where the boys were looking so cool and Jungwoo all of a sudden became a rapper and this made my heart sink a little because I created a fictional Shikkie character along with my fangirl friend and that character happens to be a rapper and this Shikkie Rapper Character we created has been around since last fall……
Jungwoo was asking his two bros if Nam Haneul is someone that they can’t help but to dislike in a rapper style kind of way. Moogeun was like yes, she is so unlikable then Chanyoung added saying, I totally approve of the message. Jungwoo was like, I’m better at Calculus than that silly Nam Haneul, Don’t ya agree? Jungwoo became a rapper for less than a minute.
If you put on a certain outfit on Jungwoo and he starts rapping about a certain subject then he would be that fictional Shikkie character that me and my fellow fangirl friend came up with.
Moogeun was like Oh yea, Yeo Jungwoo’s nickname is Yeo Jeokbun (Mr. Calculus Yeo). Jungwoo and Chanyoung added on to the line which is called Chuimse in Korean.
Jungwoo completely denied everything that Moogeun and Chanyoug were saying and then he was sweetly saying, Oh no I didn’t do that, Anieyo which means no in jondemal. Like I said before, Jungwoo has a habit of using jondemal to Haneul from time to time.
Jungwoo was telling Moogeun and Chanyoung how they were so immature back then. The two best friends agreed to the fact that they were all immature at the time, then Chanyoung asked Haneul to forget about the fact that he had a light crush on her back in high school.
Everyone bowed to each other and it was a way of respecting each other and forgetting about the past. It was just a good memory that they could all laugh about now. And all of a sudden Chanyoung decided to let everyone know that he wasn’t the only one that had a crush on Haneul because there were so many boys in their class that did have a crush on her at least once.
There was a guy named Wookreyoul from the radio club who had a crush on Haneul and Seokpil from the baseball club liked her too. Chanyoung agreed with Moogeun and Jungwoo seemed so shocked about the fact that Haneul was popular with the boys.
Jungwoo looked at Haneul and couldn’t help but to show the confused look on his face. Jungwoo just couldn’t accept the fact that Haneul was that popular in school even though she was too busy studying to give them any attention. Haneul was so cute waving a V sign at Jungwoo and smiling at him as if she was teasing him.
Haneul wasn’t sure if she did something wrong and of course Jungwoo didn’t think so but Haneul just wanted to let him know that she wanted his friends to apologize to him and that’s the reason why she gave Moogeun a call. Haneul couldn’t help but to feel bad and she was thinking that maybe she was being a little too nosy in his business. Jungwoo thought she did the right thing to help him and his friends make amends.
Everytime they post an article about him he can’t help but to think about his best friends. He would remind himself constantly not to read the comments under the article but he ends up doing it anyway.
Even though most of the comments there were negative except for one that was taking Jungwoo’s side even when everything was going bad for him and that person happened to be his best friend Kim Moogeun. Haneul was surprised about this though. After seeing that comment, it kept on reminding him to forgive and forget then move on. Jungwoo pretty much made up his mind to think positively and let things go. He felt like Haneul did the right thing to help him patch things back up with his friends.
However Jungwoo felt like he’s heard way too much to just think about the good things and let it all go. Jungwoo still couldn’t believe that his girlfriend was that popular back in school. Jungwoo had no idea that Haneul was popular like that in school. Haneul said she wasn’t unpopular that’s for sure since a few guys came and asked her out. Haneul said guys came and confessed to her and asked her out periodically.
Jungwoo was like you had all those guys that like you but you were too busy studying and working that you never had a time to date huh?! Haneul had no idea what Jungwoo was talking about then Jungwoo told her what Bada said to him that one time about Haneul was single all her life. Bada was mostly right but missed an important info because according to Haneul she did date once and she mentioned that in passing a while back.
Jungwoo remembered but he thought she was just messing around with him but apparently it was the truth. Jungwoo couldn’t believe it so he asked her if she was telling the truth and she said that she is indeed telling the truth, then Jungwoo asked who she was with using that annoyed voice of his. I love it when Jungwoo gets annoyed, it’s kinda cute if you ask me.
Jungwoo wanted to know who he was and Haneul said it was an older guy that used to follow her around in her neighborhood and this guy followed her around for three years. And Jungwoo wanted to know when he dated this guy in that annoyed voice once again and Haneul said she dated him back in freshman year of college. Haneul felt like she was a grown up now that she’s in college so it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to go on a date with someone so she decided to date him but unfortunately it only lasted five hours. Haneul broke up with that guy when she was in college because she thought it would be so much more fun to study than dating.
Jungwoo was wondering why he was the only guy Haneul gave a chance to date her when she was asked out quite often, like periodically. Jungwoo sounded like an annoyed little child that’s not getting enough attention from his mommy with his lips out all pouting and stuff.
Haneul was thinking about it for a little bit then she put her hand on her chest and said, well…it’s because it was cold at night and he gave me his jacket…..I loved Haneul’s delivery here, she is not stiff as she used to be like in the beginning of the show. She also seemed a lot more romantic and even poetic to some degree. Then Jungwoo paused for a bit and was like, that’s it? Is that really all? And Haneul was like yep….
Then Jungwoo was like that’s not a problem, I’m better at taking my clothes off, I could do a better job taking it off for you … .I don’t know, I can’t help but to have certain thoughts with these lines and it’s making my imagination run wild. I couldn’t help but let my imagination run wild … .Haneul was all embarrassed so she was tapping on his chest again and she was all, what are you saying? Then Jungwoo was like, I really can do that for you.
Jungwoo was like, what should I do, should I take it off for you? Should I do that for you, Haneul? Haneul was all shy about it and she was like put your jacket back on.
I realized something, Park Hyungsik looks good in white and he also looks really good in black too but the thing is he looks good in every color but like the symbol of yin and yang he tends to wear a lot of black and white.
I also noticed that Hyungsik and Hyungsik characters love wearing white undershirts, that’s like Shikkie’s signature fashion. Also he looks good in T-shirt, semi dress pants, semi dress jacket and tennis shoes…I love his fashion but the thing is he is so tall and lean with a handsome face that he looks so hot in everything and anything.
Meanwhile, Daeyoung was in his apartment messaging Hongran and he was talking about how dating is childish at times and shake ups happen when you are getting into somebody and Daeyoung was afraid that Hongran didn’t want to be dealing with this kind of drama.
Daeyoung knew that Hongran was having a hard time just going for it with this relationship because she might be going through hardship again. Daeyoung was trying to explain to Hongran that he doesn’t want to make life hard for her and he was gonna get to the meat of it but couldn’t finish the sentence because he kept on getting messages.
It was Daeyoung’s daughter Eunjung messaging him and she told him to order some Mara Hotpot. Daeyoung went back and continued writing the message for Hongran and wrote that he has the confidence to make her happy so she doesn’t have to worry about anything. Daeyoung thought about it and was thinking that it’s a bit greasy to say these things right now.
Daeyoung was sighing and he was thinking of what to say but he got a message from his daughter again. Eunjung told her dad to order spicy rice cakes instead of mara hotpot.
Daeyoung decided to try it again with the message he’s gonna be sending Hongran and he wrote: I am different from your previous husband.
Eunjung messaged her father again and told him to add cheese to her spicy rice cakes and make it extra spicy.
Daeyoung decided to really lay it on thick with his feelings so he wrote: I cannot live without you, Hongran but he got a message again and it was irritating the heck out of him. Daeyoung was constantly being interrupted when he’s trying to write something sincere to his newfound love, Lee Hongran.
It was Eunjung again and she asked her father to add noodles for her spicy rice cakes.
Daeyoung went back to writing the message he was gonna send to Hongran again and he decided to use a straightforward approach. Daeyoung wrote: Hongran, I really like you, can you please accept me as your boyfriend?
Daeyoung pressed the send button to the straight forward message that he wrote and he was freaking out so he was trying to delete it but it was already too late.
As Daeyoung was freaking out, Eunjung came back home from school. Daeyoung was freaking out again because he didn’t have a chance to order the food for his daughter and he was like, oh honey you are home, should we order the spicy rice cake for you?
Daeyoung was trying to remember all the details of the order. He was like, did you want me to make it extra spicy, add cheese and carrots too right? Mr. Bin was in freaked out mode, I didn’t know that Yoon Park could play a single dad comedically too…..I love both Hyungsik and Yoon in this show! This is almost like a family reunion for both Shikkie and Yoon since they played blood related brothers in What Happens to my family.
Daeyoung was like did you tell me to add mushrooms and eggplants too? Then Eunjung interrupted her dad who was going on freak out mode. Eunjung wasn’t stupid, she asked her dad in the most straightforward way possible. Eunjung asked Daeyoung if he had found himself a girlfriend. Daeyoung was just like uhhh….
Eunjung asked her dad if Hongran is the lady that bought her the macrons and Daeyoung was surprised that she knew about it. Eunjung was smart enough to realize that her dad is such a goof who wouldn’t know such a stylish dessert like that. Eunjung continued on and asked Daeyoung if Hongran was the one who bought her the underwear and even made him raise her allowance. Eunjung asked her father if Hongran was the one who helped him do all these things and Dae decided to be honest with his daughter and answered yes.
Eunjung told her dad that he should confess to her in person cus that’s dope and Daeyoung was like what? Daeyoung gave his daughter that goofy little smile that he does a lot.
Eunjung was supportive of her dad’s newfound love. Daeyoung’s daughter told him to dress up nice, put on some nice scented lotion and go see her in person. Eunjung told him not to go empty handed and he asked her what he should do then. Daeyoung asked Eunjung what he should take with him then she said that he should buy a bouquet of flowers. However, she told him not to buy too many of them and he should buy a small amount of flowers and just hand it to her without thinking too much about it. Eunjung is only in middle school but she seems to know more about dating than her good old daddy.
Daeyoung decided to take his daughter’s advice and give Hongran the flowers without thinking too much about it. While at it the daughter told him to hurry up and go while the iron is striking hot. Daeyoung was like, your daddy will dress up nicely and head on out.
Daeyoung dressed nicely and bought a small amount of flowers wrapped in paper and ran over to Hongran. Daeyoung messaged her before heading over there, he asked if they could meet up and Hongran was wondering why he wanted to meet up with her when it’s so late already.
Daeyoung told Hongran that he had something to say to her before the night was over. Hongran was wondering what he was trying to say to her. Daeyoung just told her that he’ll tell her when he gets there since it’s better to tell it to her in person, face to face.
Daeyoung saw Hongran standing there and he was trying to jump over some plants that were in the way and he took a bad step and accidentally kissed Hongran but this time he actually meant it unlike the other time with Nurse Do.
Hongran was taken aback and Daeyoung bowed to her and apologized. I love that Daeyoung is so respectful towards her and vice versa. Hongran was like, you told me that you were gonna tell me something in person and you came right at me and kissed me. Hongran didn’t mind, as a matter of fact she liked it but the way she deals with these situations is kinda like an innocent teenager from another era.
Hongran was curious to what Daeyoung was gonna say to her but he was having a hard time expressing himself like a dork. Daeyoung was like, let’s not think about sobering up, let’s drink like there is no tomorrow. Hongran was surprised to hear what Daeyoung was saying and he was like what are you worried about, you have a high alcohol tolerance right? And he continued on to say this, I will be your sobering medicine so don’t worry.
As the cute romantic music was playing Daeyoung decided to just get straight to the point and said, I like you Hongran, I love your cute face, and I love how you take care of your child with a lot of love, and I also like the way you spit out your words thoughtlessly. Basically, Daeyoung was saying he liked everything about her. Daeyoung said every time he sees her his feelings grow for her and he is planning to like her more day by day and he was gonna say something more but Hongran was like, hurry up and give me those flowers already.
Hongran smiled like a dork and Daeyoung decided to go for it and gave her a huge hug. Hongran and Daeyoung were both smiling at each other so innocently. I love how Hongran and Daeyoung were such dorks, I haven’t seen characters like this in so long. Daeyoung and Hongran both thanked each other and bowed to each other too. These people are such dorks and I love it.
Meanwhile, back at Jungwoo’s apartment. Haneul was half way laying on Jungwoo’s bed while he was peeling up and chopping up Korean melons for her. Jungwoo is such a gentleman and so is Daeyoung. Both men in this show are such gentlemen, it’s so hard to see men like this in K-dramas these days or more like dramas in general worldwide. Chivalry isn’t completely dead people! LOL…
While Jungwoo was chopping up the Korean melons he decided to open up to Haneul about the conversation they had with their two friends earlier.
Jungwoo was nervous and insecure to hear that Haneul was quite popular in high school. Then Haneul brought up the days of Neotube where Jungwoo had like a million subscribers too and she added that he even got a lot of comments from those girls.
Jungwoo came up with an excuse so Haneul won’t feel so bad so he said those comments had nothing to do with private and personal feelings and it was more about getting advice from him because he is a plastic surgeon and all. Jungwoo was naturally a friendly guy so those people treated him like a friend so that’s why they messaged him for some good info on plastic surgery.
Jungwoo then said to Haneul that she won all those guys over with her visuals alone. Jungwoo is such a humble man while praising his girlfriend like that. Jungwoo acts like he doesn’t have the visuals to go along with his charms, friendly personality and all the latest info he has on plastic surgery.
Jungwoo was like you should cover up your face when you go outside starting from now on. Haneul thought Jungwoo was being silly then she changed the subject about him possibly moving. Haneul thought that maybe it’s time for him to get his own place since the rooftop apartment is too small and now he has the money so he would be able to afford it too.
But Jungwoo doesn’t want to leave because staying at Haneul’s rooftop apartment will allow him to see Haneul more and it would be easier to see her than moving further away from her. Haneul has been so busy with work lately so they weren’t able to see each other much even when they lived in the same building. Jungwoo was thinking that he would have a better chance to see Haneul than if he lived further away from her.
Another reason why Jungwoo didn’t want to leave was because of Haneul’s family. He became really close to Haneul’s mom, her uncle and even with her little brother Bada. This just goes to show that Jungwoo misses this thing called family, even though he has one but it’s just as good as if he didn’t have a family cus they are never really around.
Jungwoo thinks that Haneul’s family feels more like a family to him than his own family. Jungwoo told Haneul that he would like to stay at the rooftop apartment a little while longer. Then Haneul asked Jungwoo if he wanted to be her family as this beautiful piano music was being played.
Haneul repeated what she said again and she asked Jungwoo to be her family and this surprised Jungwoo a bit that he had to put the knife down and stop chopping up the melons.
Jungwoo accidentally cut himself and Haneul asked for the bandaid and he told her that it’s in the drawer. Haneul opened up the drawer and found a whole bunch of jewelry boxes in there. Haneul was confused as to why there were so many jewelry boxes in there while Jungwoo was like NO!
I guess Jungwoo wasn’t quite ready for Haneul to see all the jewelry that he bought for her just yet. Jungwoo reminded me of Dalbong from WHTMF here because he took forever to give Seowool that ring in that show too….
Haneul opened up all the jewelry boxes and wondered why there were so many and Jungwoo told her that he bought them because he wanted to give them to her. Haneul couldn’t believe they were all for her and she didn’t understand why he bought so many of them either.
Jungwoo said he wasn’t sure what she was into jewelry wise so he bought one after another and just ended up with all of those in the drawer. Jungwoo was even nice enough to tell her why he hasn’t been able to give it to her yet. Jungwoo didn’t know how to give it to her so that’s why the jewelry boxes haven’t been able to come out of the drawer.
Haneul thought Jungwoo was being a silly goose but she did not forget to treat his finger that he accidentally cut with a knife because he was taken aback by what Haneul said just earlier.
The romantic music was playing and Haneul was putting a bandaid on her boyfriend. Wow, the closeups of their hands or more like Shikkie hands/fingers drive me crazy! The way Haneul puts the bandaid on Jungwoo is so romantic and it’s moving at the same time.
Jungwoo was saying that the bandaid looks like a ring and Haneul was able to agree with that but she felt that Jungwoo got her all kinds of jewelry and she only put a little bandaid on him. Jungwoo told Haneul that she embraced him when he was hurt and going through hardship just like the way she is treating his cut by wrapping the bandage around his finger. Jungwoo said that putting the bandage around his finger is the most touching way to propose to someone.
Haneul was like what? Propose? And Jungwoo was like, didn’t you ask me to be your family? Haneul was like, I just wanted you to be a boyfriend/lover that’s like a family then Jungwoo yelled to get her attention because she gave him butterflies in the stomach for what she said earlier and she was almost pretending as if she didn’t know.
Haneul triggered Jungwoo and so he got up and started digging through the drawer and at first I thought he was gonna get the jewelry he bought but no, he got a tiara too which surprised me a bit since I had no idea that he got a tiara as well. Jungwoo put the tiara on Haneul’s head and his facial expression was that of a little child at the toy store. Jungwoo was clapping and sayingthat she is so pretty, I totally envy Nam Haneul or Park Shinhye even, I wish Jungwoo/Hyungsik could put a tiara on me and treat me like a princess hehehe…
Haneul thought it was a bit silly and too extreme so she took it off and Jungwoo was like it can’t be helped that I bought you something like this and there’s nothing I can do because my love for you is so extreme and it sparkles like the stars above. I loved his cute aegyo childlike voice when he was saying that his love for her sparkles like the stars above and on top of that doing the hand motions when saying that his love for her is like the sparkling stars really touched my heart. Yeo Jungwoo is such a cute and charming man just like Mr. Park Hyungsik.
Then suddenly the mood got pretty serious, he took the ring out of his pocket as he grabbed one of her hands and he put it on her finger. Jungwoo looked her straight in the eyes and asked her to be his family, lover, friend and wife. Haneul looked like she was about to cry, her eyes looked super watery big time. I don’t blame her though because I think I would be crying if Jungwoo proposed to me like that. Jungwoo pretty much asked Haneul to be everything to him. Jungwoo is a true romantic, and this is why Haneul is such a lucky woman.
Haneul saw her phone going vibrating and it was her mother and Jungwoo saw who the call was from so he told her to tell her mom that she won’t be able to come home tonight because she’s gonna be working overnight. Hey! That was Haneul’s idea when she was super drunk that night….
Jungwoo grabs Haneul and starts kissing her as Park Hyungsik’s Lean On Me is playing. The way Jungwoo kisses Haneul is so deep and profound but the passion reminded me of the way Changsoo kissed Jiyi in High Society. I’m pretty sure Jungwoo and Haneul did it obviously, it wasn’t like in episode 11 where they were just laying in bed together innocently.
This couple came a long way because Jungwoo was so shy back in episode 7 when he asked for her hand lol…I thought it was so hot the way he kissed her and then laid her down and kissed her again while he was caressing her. I also noticed that Jungwoo’s hands were patting/rubbing her back while he was kissing her deeply.
It’s also a shame that they only played Park Hyungsik’s OST in just two episodes so far and we have one episode left….
For the preview for episode 16 there was Jungwoo thinking he got rejected and he was getting into a fight with Daeyoung and the older boy warned him that he has experience in that department since he’s been married once before. And it looks like Haneul has to go abroad for a while, six months to be exact. It’s funny how Haneul casually talks about this while they were playing tetris again. Jungwoo was like, I’m not the type that would block a woman’s path and Haneul was like, Oh Jungwoo.
Even though Jungwoo was trying to be the cool guy saying he’s not the type to block a woman’s path he wasn’t really cool with her leaving for 6 months because this guy just has a hard time being separated from her even if it’s just a temporary thing. Jungwoo was like, how am I supposed to wait 6 months to see you!?! Huh?! Jungwoo was laying on his bed throwing a tantrum like a small child going, please don’t go Haneul! Please don’t leave me! Jungwoo is so manly but there are times when he acts like a small child. I wonder if Hyungsik is this way too hehehe…
Jungwoo and Haneul went to a Tteokboggi shop and as they were eating the spicy rice cakes, Jungwoo was like I’m so proud that you are such a successful modern woman. Jungwoo was like I don’t want to be separated from you while he was hugging her and crying like a little child. Oh, before I forget I want to mention that this show has a lot of scenes where Shikkie’s character eats one of his favorite foods Tteokbokki a lot.
Haneul’s family threw her a party and then Jungwoo and Haneul went on a trip back to the ocean! Jungwoo tells Haneul that they should be good friends even in the future. Haneul nods and agrees to Jungwoo’s awesome idea. Haneul said that sometimes things could become sad and Jungwoo goes, let’s go!
Jungwoo said he is fine with it and Haneul talks to her boss saying she would like to try it out. Jungwoo nodded, which meant that he approved of her decision. Jungwoo narrates that some days he will be happy and on some days he will be sad.
Both Jungwoo and Haneul were both wearing white and Haneul was giving him a back hug while doing something. Jungwoo and Haneul walking arm in arm. Jungwoo and Haneul at the beach twirling each other around romantically, man I wish I was Haneul right now…
The preview and the episode ends with Jungwoo saying it’s enough for him and he hugs her romantically while the sun is rising and Park Hyungsik’s Lean On Me playing in the background.
