This episode was so sweet compared to what I thought, although the ending of this episode had me worried. It was a false start because I thought episode 12 was gonna start out sad because of the ending of episode 11. However, most of episode 12 was fun, cute and charming but towards the end it got darker and darker.
The episode started with Jungwoo calling Daeyoung. He called to let Dr. Bin know that he just got paid. Jungwoo wanted to tell Daeyoung that his money came in and Dae wanted to know if it wasn’t enough for him. Daeyoung was telling Jungwoo that he did deposit him the right amount. But to Jungwoo it wasn’t about the pay but he wanted to buy Daeyoung a drink since it’s his first pay in a while too.
Jungwoo wanted to buy Daeyoung a drink but unfortunately he wasn’t available to so he was coming up with different ways to back out from it. Dae said I just ate so I’m very full to have a drink with you as an excuse. Daeyoung was telling Jungwoo that he won’t be able to have a drink with him because he went over to his family’s house which he hasn’t in a long time and they gave him some delicious braised Korean beef and because of that he ended up eating way too much but this was just an excuse….
Haneul was talking on the phone with Hongran and it seemed like Haneul wanted to hang out with her but Hongran didn’t seem like she was able to either. Haneul just got paid so she wanted to spend it lavishly while hanging out with Hongran but she wasn’t able to do that.
Hongran said that she has a lot of time on the weekend since her mom is taking the little boy to Keojae Islands. Then Haneul told her that she thinks that she won’t be able to hang out with her on the weekend because she’s gonna be spending time with Jungwoo.
Hongran was surprised that they are gonna be spending time with each other on the weekend too since they are with each other at work and even at home too. However, Haneul let her best friend know that she’s not able to stick by Jungwoo’s side because none of their colleagues know about their relationship yet.
Hongran thought their relationship seemed interesting because they are dating each other secretly.
Jungwoo was telling Daeyoung that he has been happy lately and he doesn’t want to ever be separated from her. They see each other in the office, the surgery room, and they even walk home together. Jungwoo has this will to live and it’s overflowing with wanting to live more and more each day because of this beautiful relationship.
Daeyong wasn’t interested in all the details about their relationship and he was still trying to find a way to hang up. Dae told the younger boy to pay for his utility bills if he is gonna continue on about things that don’t interest him at all.
Daeyoung wanted to make sure if he should keep Jungwoo and Haneul’s relationship a secret. Jungwoo told him that would be best for now because Haneul wants to keep it that way for the time being. Daeyoung was laughing because he thought Haneul was embarrassed to announce her relationship with Jungwoo in public.
Haneul just wanted to look out for each other since it’s good to be cautious about dating in the workplace which Hongran agreed with her. Hongran thought their secret dating was cute and Haneul was saying she should go on the dating market too if she is so jealous of her. Hongran wanted to have a drink with Haneul on the weekend.
Apparently, Daeyoung and Hongran were talking to the other couple in the same room. Daeyoung was over at Hongran’s place and they were about to have a meal together. Unfortunately, the tea that Hongran made especially for Daeyoung cooled down because of the silly phone calls that they got from the other couple.
Yoon Park’s character Bin Dae Young is so romantic and funny unlike Cha Kangje in WHTMF. Daeyoung looked at Hongran and he told her that she likes her or that’s what it sounded like but he said that he likes cold tea so it doesn’t matter if it got cold a bit.
Hongran’s hands were shaking while pouring Daeyoung the tea that got cold. Daeyoung poured Hongran a cup of tea as well and they looked as if they were having a cute afternoon tea party together at Hongran’s nice and cozy apartment.
Meanwhile, Jungwoo was at the bank in front of the ATM machine. Jungwoo really does dress like Hyungsik foreal. He was wearing some nice pair of jeans, a casual button up shirt and a white t-shirt underneath. This fashion is totally Park Hyungsik in a nutshell.
Jungwoo was happily taking money out from his account at the ATM machine. Jungwoo looked so content doing it too, I wonder who the money is for?
Jungwoo called Haneul to let him know that he was walking home with the money that he took out from the ATM machine so he could give his future mother in law some allowance. Haneul was wondering why he should be the one giving her mother allowance money but Jungwoo thought that she deserves it because she has done so much for him since he has moved into the rooftop apartment.
Jungwoo always dreamed about doing this for Haneul’s mother when he gets paid. Jungwoo felt like money just felt different than before. He has made a lot of money in the past but this was the first time where it actually felt special for once. Haneul was telling Jungwoo that she feels the same way as him and also she was wondering if he has anything special for her.
However, Jungwoo told Haneul that he’s the one that wants to receive something from her and Haneul thought he was being weird for saying that. Jungwoo was asking Haneul to buy him something since she got paid too. Jungwoo was asking her to do this in the cutest and whiniest voice ever. Jungwoo, Hyungsik himself, Minmin and Dalbong are so similar personality wise.
And Haneul said that Jungwoo should be the one buying something for her since he is the one that gets paid more. Jungwoo asked Haneul to buy him something in such a cute and whiny way. Jungwoo wanted to make this into a game again. He said that they will decide who’ll buy a special gift first with their first paycheck while playing rock papers and scissors tomorrow. However, Jungwoo did not realize that there were some guys following him while he was on the phone with Haneul.
Jungwoo said that he’ll see her tomorrow and hung up the phone. Jungwoo knew that someone was following him and he was about to do something as he turned around. I think him being followed in the past made him constantly watch his back. Fortunately, it was just Bada and his uncle. I thought it was funny how Jungwoo was trying to use his phone as a knife to protect himself.
The uncle and Bada scared him half to death. The two men did look a little scary with their facial expressions and all. Jungwoo thought that they were being crazy to scare him to death like that. Jungwoo was wondering if Bada was helping his uncle out at the restaurant this late and Bada said it was none of his business.
Jungwoo was wondering where the two men were gonna take him. Bada and his uncle literally dragged him to a nearby outdoor pub. Jungwoo looked a little scared and confused at the same time. Jungwoo was wondering why the two men dragged him into a pub like this so suddenly but Bada told him they have something important to talk to him about.
The uncle wanted to confirm that Jungwoo and Haneul are dating now and Jungwoo felt bad that he didn’t tell him ahead of time while smiling in a cute way. Jungwoo referred to him as samchon which means uncle in Korean.
The uncle was telling Jungwoo that he is not just any old uncle. Mr. Uncle claimed that he didn’t hesitate when his one and only sister decided to move to Seoul because he loved her so much. Since Haneul’s father died he felt like he needed to be there for his one and only sister so he even gave up his own factory that he was running in Busan, just for his sister. Haneul’s uncle decided to tag along because he didn’t want to send his sister Wolsun, his niece Haneul and his nephew Bada all alone to Seoul. However, Bada thought that the uncle tagged along because there would be less competition for his buckwheat noodle house in Seoul since there are one too many of those in his native Busan.
Haneul’s uncle was trying to prove a point by saying that he is not just any old ordinary uncle but he is kinda like a father to them so he’s basically gonna keep Jungwoo in check. It seemed like Jungwoo understood what the uncle was talking about. Jungwoo is such a well mannered guy like Park Hyungsik himself. So many qualities of Yeo Jungwoo just makes me think about our dear old Shikkie Park.
The uncle wanted to ask Jungwoo some questions since he is kinda like a father to Haneul. The man also mentioned that he really cares for his sister, Haneul and Bada so he better not do anything stupid to them. I think he believes that he is the man of the household since Haneul’s father isn’t around anymore so he has to play the role of a protector which I think I could understand in a way.
Mr. Uncle wanted to ask Jungwoo a few questions and he started out with something kinda basic. He asked Jungwoo his height and weight. Jungwoo said that he is 183cm and 68kg. I think this is Hyungsik’s real height and weight.
Bada’s uncle was saying that Jungwoo’s height and weight are very similar to him and then Bada looked at him funny like, no way uncle! LOL…
Then the uncle continued on and asked him if he has any problems with any of his organs which are well hidden by his perfect exterior. Jungwoo answered his question by saying that he has no problem with any of his internal organs, and they are in perfect shape. Haneul’s boyfriend said with a big smile and a giant enthusiasm.
Bada’s uncle’s next question was about what his parents do for a living and he told him that both of his parents are doctors. Bada’s uncle was surprised and he told him that he better not make his family feel low just because he has high status parents.
Jungwoo assured him he will never do such a thing then Bada decided to ask him a question and he was curious if he paid off all his debt from that one incident. The uncle thought that he shouldn’t ask questions like that but Bada begged to differ. Bada said he is uneducated so he could ask such a rash question like this. Bada tapped his uncle in the arm and said that this is what they are curious about the most and his uncle couldn’t back out of it.
Bada told Jungwoo that they both like him but he is asking him this question because he doesn’t want his sister to suffer/struggle. Bada was straightforward about it and asked him if Haneul has to help him pay off his debt too. Apparently, it’s nothing like that at all and according to Jungwoo he would be able to pay all that off in a year if he works hard enough. Bada thought that Jungwoo could get some money back since he is not in the wrong. Jungwoo said that the only way he could find this out is with a lawsuit but he is not emotionally ready for all that yet.
Mr. Uncle understood where he was coming from with this and he thought that lawsuits and court trials do take a lot of you energetically. The uncle poured Jungwoo a bowl of Korean rice wine/Makgeolli. Makgeolli makes me think about Hyungsik’s other drama called Soundtrack #1 because his character Han Seonwoo and his lady love Lee Eunsoo drink a lot of Makgeolli, that was their drink of choice in that show.
The uncle called Jungwoo over to tell him to take good care of his one and only niece Haneul. Mr. Uncle wished them happiness and also peace in Jungwoo’s personal life as well.
Jungwoo thanked the uncle but he kept on pouring him drink after drink. It looked like Jungwoo wanted to stop but the uncle just wouldn’t stop. Bada smiled at Jungwoo and I thought it was so cute because it’s so obvious that Haneul’s little brother not only likes Jungwoo but he looks up to him too.
The three men looked so drunk but Jungwoo looked even more drunk than the other two since Bada and his uncle were literally dragging him along since our dear Dr. Yeo couldn’t walk properly.
——————————————————————————————————————————-
Haneul’s uncle was wondering if Jungwoo is doing alright and he answered him militaristically that he is doing fine!
The uncle told Jungwoo that he better treat her right and he answered with all his might that he will do just that. Taesun the uncle said that just being ordinarily nice to her isn’t gonna cut it and he better be hella good to her. Taesun used his native Busan dialect to say this and Jungwoo copied his Busan accent and said that he will treat her right.
Then all of a sudden Bada asked Jungwoo if he could buy his sister a little squirrel stuffed animal since he loves her so much. Taesun the uncle was describing how the stuffed animal squirrel looked with both of his hands and also his facial expression then Jungwoo was copying him while being drunk off his ass too. My gosh, Jungwoo is so cute copying Mr. Uncle like that.
The uncle was wondering if Jungwoo could buy Haneul a similar looking doll and he didn’t hesitate then he was on his way to the store immediately to get his girl one of those dolls while he is so wasted and can’t even stand straight.
Jungwoo really did not hesitate to buy that squirrel stuffed animal just for his Haneul and the uncle was surprised that he has that go-getter attitude. Jungwoo was explaining to Uncle Taesun that he is not that type to dilly dally when it’s something that important and he doesn’t like putting it off for too long.
Bada discovered a sweet cinnamon pancake/ Korean sweet pancake/Hotteok shop across the street and he asked Jungwoo to buy him that too and the uncle thought he shouldn’t constantly ask him to buy him things. Bada was telling Jungwoo that his sister Haneul really loves Hotteok and he was saying that he is able to afford that then he said he’s gonna get 5000 Korean Won worth of those sweet Korean pancakes called hotteok.
I thought it was so cute how Jungwoo put his arm around Bada so comfortably and it almost felt like he was doing that to Tae from the Wooga squad. Like I said before, the dude that plays Bada really looks like Taehyung/V from BTS, although he is in the military right now.
Jungwoo was so wasted that he just walked over to the vendor and asked her to give him 5000 Korean Won worth of the Hotteok. Jungwoo’s face was red, he had a little slur, he was overly enthusiastic and walking funny too.
Jungwoo asked the other two men if they would each like to have a hotteok and of course they were all for it. Jungwoo just grabbed the pancake with his bare hand like a barbarian.
Dr. Yeo was so drunk that he wrapped the cup around the pancake like a burrito and he handed one to the uncle. Jungwoo told the uncle that the pancake tastes the best when it’s hot so he better eat it right away. The uncle was holding the pancake with his hand but it was very hot and he had to express the sensation that he was having.
Jungwoo handed one over to Bada too and he said he better eat it right now since it’s the best when eaten while it’s hot. Bada was so drunk that he was eating the cup that’s wrapped around the pancake.
Jungwoo was eating the pancake properly unlike Bada despite how drunk he is. Even if Jungwoo is drunk off his ass he was able to still think properly to some degree because he was worried that Haneul might not like him drinking this much and she would hate him for it.
Jungwoo was thinking that he would be scolded by Haneul which he doesn’t want but the uncle said that it’s okay for men to go have a drink and get wasted like this from time to time.
Haneul’s uncle told Jungwoo that she won’t be able to do shit to him because if she does try anything to him then he is gonna teach her a lesson as her uncle. Jungwoo thought it was cool that the uncle was all for him and Bada added that the three men are one from now on.
The vendor lady made the pancakes that she made for Haneul and bagged them up and it was time to pay. Everything came out to be 8000 Korean Won including the three that they just ate. Jungwoo gave the lady a 10,000 Won bill and got change back from it. Jungwoo was so drunk that he couldn’t walk properly but the uncle was even worse off because he quite literally fell to the ground and while Jungwoo was gonna help him out he fell too. The only one that was somewhat standing straight was Bada.
It was already morning and Jungwoo woke up looking as if he had a hangover and also not knowing where he was. Mrs. Kong was opening a seaweed snack as if she was gonna strangle him with it but it only looked like that to Jungwoo.
Jungwoo was stretching his arms looking so confused waking up in front of Haneul’s family. I really thought Jungwoo looked so cute when he was stretching while trying to wake up.
Haneul’s mom was saying that they should be eating quietly because it woke up the boy but Haneul said it doesn’t matter since he has to wake up to go to work anyway.
Haneul was beginning to scold him just like he expected and he was trying to justify the situation. Jungwoo was trying to explain that he didn’t drink like that on purpose and Mrs. Kong was defending her future son in law by telling uncle Taesun that he shouldn’t bully him like that.
Then Haneul grabbed Bada by the shirt and asked him if he was the one that forced Jungwoo to drink. Obviously, the two ladies were on Jungwoo’s side but it’s true that Bada and Taesun kidnapped Jungwoo and took him to a nearby outdoor pub.
The two men betrayed Jungwoo and Bada said that Jungwoo volunteered to drink like that on his own and the uncle added that he wanted to drink no matter how much they tried to stop him.
Jungwoo looked so betrayed because the two men didn’t back him up like they said they would. Then Uncle Taesun grabbed the envelope with the money that Jungwoo got from the ATM to give to Mrs. Kong. Jungwoo wanted to explain himself or more like defend himself but Bada shut him up with a rice wrapped around in seaweed which is supposed to be a rice killer. Then Taesun just decided to brush off the situation by complimenting on the seaweed. I do agree with Uncle Taesun and Bada, Korean seaweed snacks are delicious indeed.
Haneul told Jungwoo that he should just forget about it and eat so they could go to work already. Jungwoo drank a bottle of hangover medicine while Haneul was driving and speaking of driving Jungwoo was surprised that she was driving him to work. Haneul said she is driving him to work because he is dealing with a hangover from all that drinking last night and Jungwoo apologized to her in a formal tone/jondaemal while even bowing to her.
Jungwoo wanted to be loyal but he couldn’t take it anymore so he decided to explain the situation to Haneul so there won’t be any misunderstandings. Haneul driving and Jungwoo in the passenger seat reminds me of Soundtrack #1 where Eunsoo is driving and Seonwoo is in the passenger seat.
Jungwoo thinks that most of the time men are loyal to each other to the point where they don’t do any snitching but he feels like he should tell Haneul about last night’s situation because he doesn’t want to ruin his good image with his dear lady love.
Jungwoo told Haneul the situation, the way it actually happened. He told Haneul that Bada and her uncle kidnapped him and forcefully dragged him to the pub. And he continued on by saying that the two men forced him to take all those drinks even though he was being super cautious about it. There was no way for him to be cautious since they kept on pouring him drink after drink every time he tried to put his bowl down but they didn’t let him.
Jungwoo also told his girlfriend that he expressed concerns about drinking too much because he didn’t want Haneul to get mad at her and start hating on him for being wasted like that. He also told Haneul that they would scold Haneul if she tried doing anything to him and they are one body now. Jungwoo complained that Bada and her uncle betrayed him after saying all those things to him the night before while frowning.
Hanuel made a U-Turn and he was wondering why she was doing that. Jungwoo thought they were driving back home. Jungwoo thought that she was driving back home to scold her uncle and Bada although he was so wrong about that. Haneul was just taking a secret path to get to work because it’s a lot smoother and quicker.
Haneul scolded Jungwoo saying that he shouldn’t be blaming it on Uncle Taesun and Bada because in the end he’s the one who decided to drink and it’s ultimately his fault for not being able to control his alcohol. Haneul said he should be careful from now on and it’s gonna be all on him and nobody else then he smiled like a little boy.
I think I could understand what that smile meant. Haneul was scolding him like a little boy but it’s like a scold from a mother that loves her boy.
Haneul was wondering why he was smiling after being scolded like that but he explained that it’s because her eyes are full of love but her words are so cold. The way he was being scolded by the woman he loves makes him feel excited. Haneul thought he was being crazy though with a cute smile on her face.
Jungwoo thought Haneul really does resemble those cute little squirrels, at least the way she smiles anyway. Jungwoo thought that Haneul likes squirrels because she looks like them but Haneul had no idea what her boyfriend was talking about.
Then Jungwoo told Haneul the story that he heard from Taesun and Bada last night. They told her that Haneul was mad because her mother threw away the squirrel stuffed toy in the trash so she cried for days. Jungwoo thought that it was strange how a girl in middle school would cry like that because of a stuffed toy but apparently that’s not how the story goes so Haneul had to tell the story how it actually happened.
Haneul didn’t cry that day because of the stuffed animal but it was about something else. It was field trip day but she didn’t want to waste the whole day just playing so she decided to make some lame excuse and came home to study. She didn’t want to waste the whole day without writing papers so she made up some good excuse like being sick so she could go home and study. But Haneul cried because she felt this overwhelming sorrow for some reason so she had to find an excuse to take it out on something.
Jungwoo felt bad because she didn’t even go on a school field trip and Haneul agreed with him. Haneul couldn’t help but to regret it because in life you need times like that where you take a break and take a trip somewhere. But unfortunately, Haneul has never gone on a school field trip which surprised Jungwoo a little and his facial expression couldn’t hide the shock. Jungwoo raised his index finger and with the look of shock on his face, it seemed like he had a eureka moment right then and there.
Meanwhile, at the nice yard outside of the clinic, Mr. Bin and Hongran were having a nice little date. I want to consider this a date even though it’s more of an innocent casual date where the two are getting to know each other.
Daeyoung is so sweet for bringing Hongran a cup of coffee for her. Hongran wanted to know if he went home alright. Daeyong expressed gratitude for good food and good tea but Hongran felt like she felt more thankful towards Dae.
Daeyoung installed a mini playground for Jinwoo while he was over at Hongran’s apartment while Jinwoo was away. Hongran was so thankful towards him because Daeyoung brought the playground set for Jinwoo to Hongran’s apartment and on top of that he even installed it for the boy.
Daeyoung’s sister wanted to get rid of it since his nephew is too big to be playing there and he immediately thought of Hongran since her son is small enough to play there. Daeyoung thought it was perfect because he is helping out his sister and also helping out Hongran too at the same time.
Daeyoung thought that he wanted to show appreciation for inviting him over for lunch and Hongran felt that this was a good opportunity for her to do this since her mother brought over some home cooked side dishes.
Daeyoung hasn’t had a good home cooked meal in so long and he enjoyed it a lot so whenever her mother brings side dishes again, he wanted her to invite him over. And Hongran shyly asked him why he wants to come over again but it’s so obvious that she doesn’t mind, it’s written all over her face.
Daeyoung bowed to her and was about to leave but he accidentally grabbed the wrong jacket/coat. Daeyoung was acting awkward like a little boy in love and shyly said that Hongran’s jacket is a better quality because it’s a brand name and all.
Daeyoung was telling Hongran that she doesn’t have to see him off but she said it’s no big deal since she has to go to the convenience store to buy something.
Then Hongran brought up Eunjung. Daeyoung raised Eungjung’s allowance, following Hongran’s advice. Hongran said he did well and teenage girls need a big allowance because they have things that they need to purchase and it’s usually hard to share that kind of stuff with fathers.
These girls usually buy makeup, underclothes, and feminine products too. Daeyoung felt that he’s been insensitive towards his own daughter but it seems like he is learning a lot through Hongran. I really value this relationship because they have so much to teach and help each other. I think Dr. Slump is a few shows where I support couple number one and couple number two which is very rare to do.
It was night time and it was so romantic that Hongran was seeing Daeyoung off. Daeyoung couldn’t leave just yet because he still had a few things to say. He told Hongran that he misses Jinwoo and he would like to go catch insects with him again.
Then Daeyoung asked Hongran if Jinwoo knows how to play ball yet. Hongran admitted that he’s never done that before because she hasn’t had the time to go play with him like that. Hongran felt bad because she hasn’t even had the chance to teach Jinwoo how to ride a bike yet and she confessed that she doesn’t know how to either.
Daeyoung felt like he could teach Jinwoo first but he was thinking that it would be better if the mom knows how to ride the bike too so he’s willing to teach her how to ride a bike first so she could teach Jinwoo how to ride a bike.
Daeyoung thought it would be good for the mom to know how to ride the bike too so she could go ride the bike with her son together. Daeyoung added that it would be emotionally better for the child if Hongran teaches him to do it.
Then Hongran came up with this idea called CHANCE CARDS and it seemed like Daeyoung was confused by this notion.
Hongran brought three chance cards and they have three each to hold onto and whenever they need each other’s help or support they could use one of those. Hongran used some examples because Daeyoung wanted to know and she said that when she needs help with catching insects or learning how to ride a bike. And Daeyoung could use it when he needs to go shopping for Eunjung or taking her to the doctors and such. Daeyoung smiled and told her that he will certainly make good use out of those chance cards while bowing to her. I’m starting to think that both Jungwoo and Daeyoung are really well-mannered to their ladies.
——————————————————————————————————————————-
Haneul was excited about the package that she got. She received two boxes of stuff and she was so excited about this. She realized again how exciting it is to wait for packages which she doesn’t have too many experiences with regarding this.
Jungwoo was wondering what she bought that she had to have them deliver the packages to the clinic instead of the house. Haneul bought some gifts for Jungwoo like he asked for last night. Jungwoo was touched that he received two boxes from her.
Haneul was so happy because she’s never given two large boxes for someone she loves before and Jungwoo was equally excited to open them up and it seemed like he was curious to see what was inside of those boxes. He decided to open the bigger one first.
Jungwoo was excited like a little boy opening Christmas presents and was jumping up and down along with Haneul but that joy didn’t last too long the moment he found out what was in the big box. It was a large brown text called: History of plastic and reconstructive Surgery. Concept and Clinical Practice.
Haneul went through all that trouble to find the original copy written in English from a used bookstore but despite her effort, Jungwoo didn’t seem to be too happy about this though. Haneul said it will be a lot of fun but Jungwoo really didn’t seem too excited about it but he was trying his best to pretend that he was gonna enjoy it so he could make her happy.
Then Haneul handed over the second box to Jungwoo and she said he’ll like this one even more. Haneul seemed almost like a little girl during Christmas and a mom so happy that she was able to get her child a gift all at the same time. Jungwoo was so happy that he started humming and the moment he opened up the box and looked inside, his facial expression changed dramatically.
Haneul was jumping up and down all happy. She asked him if he likes it a lot but his facial expression said it all. And the scene turned over to the surgery room. It looked like any ordinary day for Mr. Yeo where he was performing surgery on people.
Jungwoo was talking about changing out the silicon and he was talking about all these plastic surgery terms that I couldn’t really understand but he was talking about doing something with the silicon nonetheless. But for some reason all the ladies in the surgery room were laughing. However, Jungwoo had no idea why those ladies were laughing and giggling like that.
Haneul was laughing even more. Jungwoo asked them to hand over the thing he asked for earlier and then we got a close up of his surgery cap and it was of cute little puppies. Jungwoo said that he is gonna be focusing now and Haneul basically said yes sir, respecting his sort of a command. Haneul apologized for distracting him but she just couldn’t help it. I think Haneul learned how to let loose, have fun and live a little thanks to Jungwoo because before she became close to him, she was basically a serious working stiff.
Haneul encourages Jungwoo saying that he did a good job despite the fact that it was a rather difficult surgery and she smiled at him saying that it would look good on him. Haneul’s other gift to Jungwoo was a surgery cap with cute little puppies on it and she wanted him to put it on every time he goes into surgery. Haneul also asked him to write a report after reading the book that he gave to him which he opened up first.
Jungwoo asked Haneul if he made a mistake again because her giving him a long book to read and a cute puppy surgery cap don’t really feel like gifts to him but rather a punishment. He thought maybe he did something wrong again and she is punishing him for it.
Haneul was gonna take it back because she thought he didn’t appreciate her gifts but he took what he said back by saying he was just kidding. And in reality he really loves the gifts she bought for him and those are the things that he always wanted and amazed by what he exactly wants as gifts from his girlfriend.
Haneul was complaining that Jungwoo bought her just a squirrel stuffed animal and some sweet cinnamon pancakes but Jungwoo defended himself by saying that he was drunk when he bought those things. Jungwoo said he has a real gift for her and Haneul was going around looking for it. Jungwoo was laughing cus she’ll never find it since her gift is not actually an item of some kind. Jungwoo looked so cool when he said that she’ll never find them and walked with a swagger.
Jungwoo and Haneul looked like regular office people again. They were sitting on their chairs discussing something and it was about Haneul’s gift from Jungwoo. Jungwoo wanted to take Haneul on a trip and he wanted her to think of it as a school field trip. But Haneul was embarrassed by the fact that they are gonna go on a school field trip at her age. Jungwoo thought it won’t be so bad if they go to the museum and go camping at night then it wouldn’t seem so childish. Jungwoo wanted to prove that even adults could go on a field trip of some sort.
Haneul thought it would be fun and Jungwoo took that as a yes. Jungwoo wanted to go on the weekend but she had to meet up with Hongran because she already planned it with her.
Jungwoo thinks that she could just catch up with her later and he doesn’t want her to miss another chance of going on a field trip. Jungwoo thinks that if she doesn’t take this chance now for this field trip she would never ever have a chance to do so. Jungwoo decided to take the matters into his old hands and just grabbed her hands. He said they should go shopping and Haneul looked puzzled by this. According to Jungwoo you go shopping and buy a new pair of clothes when you go on a field trip.
Haneul had no idea about any of this cus she’s never done anything like this before and Jungwoo said he will teach her how to live little by little, including things about going on a field trip. I loved the way he held Haneul’s hand while skipping out the door and he was so tall that it looked like his head was about to touch the tip of the door.
Jungwoo looked at the dress and thought it would look good on Haneul and she was like a one piece dress? Man, this dress makes me want to go to the beach and Jungwoo said then they could just go to the beach for their field trip.
Hanuel thought it was a bit odd for them to go to the beach as a school field trip though. Jungwoo looked at the dresses to see which one looked better on her but he thinks that both dresses would look good on him. Haneul wanted something comfortable and Jungwoo kept on trying to see which dresses would look good on her. Jungwoo thinks all of those dresses would look good on her but she said they look like pajamas to her.
Jungwoo and Haneul went over to this coffee shop looking down on the city with lots of skyscrapers. They were romantically sitting on one of the tables and Jungwoo was telling Haneul where they were gonna be going and she thought it was beautiful.
Jungwoo was showing what kind of places they have at the location they will be going to. Haneul liked the idea that you could go to a concert there too. Jungwoo is such a romantic guy unlike the time when he was in high school.
Haneul thought Jungwoo made a lot of effort to go through all that to look for such a place for them to visit, just so he could make Haneul happy.
Haneul was wondering if Jungwoo is sleeping well these days while she was looking at his face carefully. Jungwoo said he has been sleeping well lately and he is able to do so even without taking medicine beforehand. Haneul was glad that he is doing better but she was curious if he used to take sleeping pills/insomnia medicine even back in high school.
Jungwoo started taking sleeping medicine in his senior year of high school because for some reason he couldn’t fall asleep easily and he thinks that it’s because of anxiety/insecurity.
Haneul couldn’t help but to think that there is a high possibility that Kyungmin added zolpidem into his drink. Haneul has been reading some papers on some cases where they mixed zolpidem and alcohol together. And according to what Haneul found was that there were a lot of dangerous cases because of mixing zolpidem and alcohol together. Haneul thinks that Kyunmin wanted Jungwoo to behave rashly and dangerously for whatever reason.
Jungwoo likes the way things are now. He likes the ordinary life of drinking with Haneul’s uncle and brother Bada. He also liked walking in the cold night air holding a stuffed squirrel and sweet cinnamon pancakes to give to his girl. Jungwoo realized that these ordinary things may seem so average but he felt so content and at peace.
It seems like this is what he’s been missing all his life, close knit relationship with family. While Jungwoo has been helping Haneul live a fuller life by changing her perspective on how to live so now she is more carefree and less of a working stiff.
Jungwoo was so happy to find the table set for breakfast in the morning and his spoon and chopsticks were on the table too. He also likes the moments of going to work while being scolded by his girlfriend. And now they are able to have coffee together after work too.
Jungwoo likes these moments so much that he doesn’t want this peaceful life to break and that’s all that he could hope for. The two smile at each other while agreeing on what was being said to each other. I really love Jungwoo, I mean, Hyungsik’s smile. AH, MR. PARK, I LOVE THE WAY YOU SMILE! PLEASE SMILE LIKE THAT FOR ME TOOOOOO!
Haneul really loves drinking coffee with Jungwoo and he really enjoys it too and he said that in such a playful way.
Haneul was looking in the mirror getting ready to go. Wow! Park Shinhye is so pretty! I love her long and slightly wavy hair!
Haneul was petting the stuffed squirrel as she was leaving and at that moment I was thinking that the stuffed squirrel looked more like Jungwoo than Haneul IMO…
When Haneul came over Jungwoo’s apartment she saw him making seaweed rice rolls and seemed a little confused. Jungwoo said that Kimbap/seaweed rice rolls are the best when it comes to school field trips. Haneul thought it would be so much easier to just order it from somewhere than to make it himself. Jungwoo thinks that there’s definitely a difference because when you make it yourself you put your whole heart into it so that’s why it tastes better than the store bought ones.
Jungwoo let Haneul try some of his cooking and she was amazed and complimented on his cooking skill. Jungwoo told Haneul that she better take him while the opportunity is still open because it might be sold out soon then she smiled like a shy girl in love as always.
Finally, Jungwoo and Haneul were on the bus and they were on their way to a place where they could enjoy their so-called high school field trip. Haneul looked so delighted, like a little girl that’s about to go to disneyland. Jungwoo looked equally happy to be taking part in this activity. I love Jungwoo’s outfit because it really looks like a boy next door type of clothes. I think Jungwoo dresses more like Hyungsik and he really looks good in a white t-shirt, blue jeans, a button up shirt over him and comfy sneakers. I love this look on him the best.
Haneul was saying that it really does feel like they are going on a school field trip because they packed some seaweed rice rolls and they are taking an expressway bus full of people too. Haneul felt like she became someone important cus the back seats where they are sitting are for the exclusive passengers only. Jungwoo said that Haneul is that important of a person because he thinks that she is the prettiest girl in the whole class.
Haneul was confused because she wasn’t sure if he was referring to the whole class in a literal sense. Jungwoo wanted Haneul to think of all the passengers as their fellow classmates from now on and that would help her to feel more like she is on an actual school field trip. Jungwoo was saying that the kids all look tired since they fell asleep unlike them. Jungwoo was like maybe they were studying a little too hard, have a good sleep kiddos.
Jungwoo was amazed at the scenery, he thinks that it looks so beautiful. Both Jungwoo and Haneul look like happy little kids going on a pretend school field trip together. Haneul agreed with Jungwoo that the scenery is beautiful indeed. Jungwoo was smiling so brightly and it just made my day looking at him smile like that. Jungwoo pretended that the car/bus was shaking so much that he accidentally fell onto her shoulder. Jungwoo is so cute and cheesy at the same time. Haneul was saying that she studied a little too hard last night so she is sleepy and Jungwoo told her to just take a nap then.
Jungwoo and Haneul are inside of the museum now and he wants her to think of the kids as their classmates from now on and if she does that then she would be able to pretend that this is her actual school field trip. However, Haneul felt like that’s a bit too much for her to pretend because those kids are so young but Jungwoo said she doesn’t have to feel bad about that because they look younger than their age.
Jungwoo grabbed Haneul by the arm so they could catch up with the other kids then he said it’s time for them to go to the next place before the sun goes down. Jungwoo thought about taking photos but Haneul didn’t know exactly what he meant by that.
People were dressed in costumes. Jungwoo and Haneul were in uniforms, High school uniforms to be exact and my gosh they look so good in high school uniforms. But Hyungsik looks so cute and hot in the summer high school uniform. Shinhye looks really good too but Hyungsik looks even better.
Haneul didn’t quite understand why they had to put uniforms on but Jungwoo thought that it would be a good idea to make a memory by taking a photo of it. Taking a photo with school uniforms would fit the theme perfectly since they are on their own make believe high school field trip.
Jungwoo thinks that the uniforms really remind him of their old high school days. Haneul thinks that they should do it properly if he wants to make it really look like they went back to their actual high school times. Then all of a sudden Haneul spoke to him in her native Busan dialect. She said get lost in her native Busan dialect. Jungwoo translated what she said in his native Seoul speech. “Can’t you see? I’m trying to study! So get lost!”
Jungwoo thought Haneul was being too much but she was acting like how she used to be to make it seem more real. Haneul ran for it and Jungwoo tried catching up with her since he doesn’t like getting second place. The two found somewhere nice to take a photo outside with their cellphones. Haneul took a photo of Jungwoo with her phone. They looked at the photo Haneul took of him while giggling like innocent teenagers. Then Jungwoo took of one for Haneul and this reminded me of Han Seonwoo, the professional photographer from Soundtrack # 1!
They found a place that looked like the school garden from their old high school days so taking photos there while in their school uniform would look more realistic as if they are actually there for their school field trip.
——————————————————————————————————————————-
The drama took us back to their high school days and of course they were wearing their real uniforms. I love their actual high school uniform, I want to assume that it’s their winter and spring uniform.
Haneul was reading her textbook while everybody was getting ready to take a school photo for the year book and that’s why Jungwoo was shaking his head. Jungwoo used to think that Haneul is crazy because she was even studying on the day of taking a school photo for the yearbook.
Jungwoo got caught red handed checking out Nam Haneul again. According to his two buddies Jungwoo has a habit of checking out Nam Haneul constantly. Jungwoo’s friends think that he only gives attention to Haneul and the other friend was saying that at this rate he would be dating her soon.
Jungwoo’s two close friends think that he should just date her already. They did this little chant that goes, “Date! Date! Date!” His two close buddies, Chanyoung and Moogeun wanted him to date Haneul already.
Jungwoo grabbed the two by the ears and told them not to curse/insult him like that because he would never date a girl like Nam Haneul. And then Jungwoo was like who in the right mind would date such a temperamental girl like her? Jungwoo then added fuel to the fire and said he would like to say some comforting words to her future boyfriend. What he just said made me laugh because Jungwoo is that boyfriend she is dating right now and that means he should say some comforting words to himself hahahaha….
We got to see that teacher who briefly appeared in that one other episode where he visits the clinic. He was telling all the students to be right there where they need to be so they could take the picture already. The teacher told them that just cus they are in the back doesn’t mean it’s gonna make their faces look smaller. Haneul was still reading till the very last minute. She put her book down when the teacher told her to put it down. Jungwoo kept on checking her out and this is an indicator that he might have had interest in her even then.
Jungwoo shared their graduation photo with Haneul. Before this trip he took a photo of the graduation photo with his phone so he could show it to his girlfriend. Haneul thinks that they look so similar to their past and she was kinda amazed by that. Jungwoo had no idea that he would become Haneul’s boyfriend after all these years and Haneul asked him if he hates the fact that she is his girlfriend now. Jungwoo disagrees with that comment because he is so happy that they are together now. Jungwoo wishes that he could just go back to the past and beat his past self for saying something like that. Jungwoo was like why did I say that? While using his index finger to beat his old self up with it.
Haneul asked what made him want to take a picture of their old high school graduation photo and he said he just felt like doing that cus it reminded him of the good ol days while preparing for the field trip. Jungwoo made the effort to dig through his old high school yearbook so he could take a photo of it just so that he could share it with her.
Jungwoo was saying that Haneul looked adorable and also moved by looking at her old photo where she couldn’t even put her book down for just a second.
As they were having a nice conversation about their good old high school days, Haneul’s stomach started growling. Yes, the woman was hungry. Jungwoo asked if she was hungry and she was so hungry that she wanted to grill some meat already.
Jungwoo was waiting for somebody to bring the meat and Haneul was confused by this. Haneul had no idea who else was coming because Jungwoo didn’t let her know about it. Jungwoo invited Hongran and Daeyoung tagged along for the ride.
Haneul was surprised to hear Hongran calling her name. Haneul didn’t know why Daeyoung and Hongran were there. Apparently, Jungwoo called Hongran and asked if she could just see Haneul at this location since she won’t be able to make it so she could enjoy her little school field trip.
Haneul couldn’t believe it so she asked Jungwoo if what Hongran is telling her is the truth and he said field trips are so much more fun with others around. I first thought Daeyoung was the one to bring the meat but it was Hongran so they could kill two birds with one stone. Daeyoung was the one who tagged along and not Hongran.
Jungwoo asked what Daeyoung is doing here and he said that he has no intention in bothering the couple while they are on their field trip but it’s because he ended up using the chance card and Jungwoo looked so confused by this chance card thing so Hongran decided to elaborate on it so he won’t be confused anymore. Hongran told Jungwoo that the chance card is all about single dad and single mom using it whenever they are in need.
Hongran said she wanted to learn how to ride a bike since Daeyoung said this location has a lot of space for that kind of stuff. Haneul was surprised the two were that acquainted and Hongran added by saying that it happened because they went bra shopping the other day which made the situation worse.
Haneul was like what? To go buy what?! And Daeyoung was like, well it all happened because I went to visit Hongran at her house and Jungwoo was like what?! Hyung, did you go over to Hongran’s house?! Hongran wanted to get this conversation over with so she decided to just brush it off and so did Daeyoung by using hunger as an excuse. Both Hongran and Daeyoung were like, we are so hungry right now so let’s go grill some meat already.
I love how the single dad and single mom couple were so nervous about getting caught although they are not official just yet.
Hongran ran off with Haneul to go wash the lettuce while Jungwoo and Daeyoung were left on their own so they could have a man to man chit chat hahaha…
Jungwoo was looking at Daeyoung, kind of funny. Hongran decided to just talk about Jungwoo and Haneul instead while washing up the Korean lettuce. Hongran thinks they are so sweet for coming on this kind of trip together but Hanuel wanted to know more about Hongran and Daeyoung. Haneul wanted an explanation from her bestie. Haneul wanted to know more about their relationship but Hongran was telling her that it’s not really a big deal. It’s all about just helping each other in need as single parents.
Hongran said that she is here to learn how to ride a bike but Haneul did not buy that all. Haneul thought it was odd that Daeyoung tagged along all the way over here to teach her how to ride a bike when there are plenty of places to do that in Seoul. Hongran came to have a drink with Haneul because she hardly hangs out with her anymore since she’s been dating Jungwoo. Hongran thought it would be better that Daeyoung come along because she didn’t want to be the odd one out on a couple’s day field trip.
Haneul said that she’s gonna watch them and see if they have feelings for each other or not. Haneul thought Hongran was being suspicious because she quickly ran away from the sink as she was done washing the lettuce.
Daeyoung was being a gentleman, squeezed some ssamjang sauce into a little bowl for Hongran then he passed it to Jungwoo. It looked like Jungwoo was the one who grilled the meat. Hyungsik looks so good as the meat grilling man. I think Hyungsik grilled meat as Changsoo in High Society, Hyungsik grilled meat in friendcation as himself and now as Jungwoo in Dr. Slump. Jungwoo looks good in rubber gloves for grilling too.
The four were obviously enjoying their food and drink. Jungwoo and Daeyoung were both amazed that the two women have the same drinking habits. Both Haneul and Hongran mixed soju and beer which is called someak in Korea. It’s not just the fact that they both mixed those two drinks but it’s also because of the way they tapped the beer can and drank it in a similar fashion too. According to Jungwoo these two women also have similar taste buds in food too cus both ladies like using ssamjang sauce for their meats.
The two men were saying that these two women are like those girls from girl groups. Then Daeyoung asked who is the one that plays the center role for the group. They were all laughing and having a good time but Jungwoo was wondering how Hongran became friends with Haneul since she’s not the type to befriend anyone. And Hongran confessed that she’s the one that stuck to her until she accepted her as a friend. Hongran was attracted to Haneul’s personality because there are so many colleagues that like to talk behind others’ backs while Haneul just stayed in her place quietly and did her work like she’s supposed to without talking much.
Then Haneul said that she might be quiet but very dependable while playing with her hair. I think Haneul has become more fun and interesting ever since Jungwoo came into her life. Then Jungwoo added by saying that Haneul is a genuine person more than anything else to put it precisely.
Haneul slapped Jungwoo in the arm and started acting all flirtatiously with that newly developed aegyo charm of hers. And both Daeyoung and Hongran looked at them funny which I could totally understand since neither of them used to be that way in the past. Both Jungwoo and Haneul were giggling while the other couple looked slightly awkward then bumped their beer cans together before taking a sip of their beer.
Both Haneul and Hongran were curious as to how Jungwoo and Daeyoung became close friends. Hongran was curious as to how they ended up on bad terms before they met again just recently.
Daeyoung and Jungwoo didn’t want to get too into detail and I guess it’s because it was pretty embarrassing and didn’t want to share it with their ladies. Jungwoo was telling them that it was just a fight that normal men have with their friends and Daeyoung agreed to that white looking like an awkward fool. Haneul was wondering why they were both stuttering when it wasn’t such a big deal and Hongran agreed with Haneul and she too thought that something big happened between them. Hongran felt like they could just open up now and talk about it so Daeyoung decided to tell the story.
According to Daeyoung, he was really close to Jungwoo during college years. OMG, Jungwoo looked so hot in college. I love his black t-shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The story was set in September of 2013 back while the guys were in college. Jungwoo was looking at a book on plastic surgery from the shelf and the way he was looking at it looked charming. According to Daeyoung, Jungwoo was like a little brother, a friend, and also a big brother all at the same time.
Jungwoo was asking Daeyoung if he still remembered what he learned but Mr. Bin was taking a nap. Yoon Park is Bin Daeyoung and he is so different from Cha Kangje. Kangje would never fall asleep like Dae because his goal was to climb to the top. Jungwoo tried to get his attention to make sure Daeyoung knew what he learned so far. Jungwoo was asking Daeyoung the same question to test his knowledge to help him out but Mr. Bin wanted to take a nap. I don’t know why but Daeyoung reminds me of Cha Dalbong, Kangje’s little brother. I wonder if the person that wrote this used What Happens to my Family as a reference to some degree. I feel like the roles from What Happens to my Family were switched in a way.
Jungwoo was trying to help Daeyoung pass his med school exam and he only had one week to take the test so his little brother was trying to help him but he was too busy taking naps. Jungwoo thought that the best way to motivate Daeyoung was to wear a white doctor’s gown and go around the hospital looking like a big shot. Jungwoo said if he puts his mind to it he could make it happen and it seems like his trick was working thankfully. Daeyoung was telling the women that without Jungwoo he wouldn’t be where he is today. Jungwoo gave the older guy a can of coffee to give him the energy to pull through.
Jungwoo was going to class and all of a sudden Daeyoung came behind him and gave him a huge back hug. Daeyoung gave Jungwoo a huge hug like that because he passed the med school exam and he was so excited because he’s now officially a doctor because he passed the test thanks to Jungwoo encouraging him to study.
Jungwoo was happy for Daeyoung and they both gave each other a huge hug to the point where they were squeezing each other and all the classmates gave them a round of applause too.
Daeyoung told the two girls that are listening to the story about how he loved Jungwoo and he really liked him a lot as a good friend. Daeyoung looked sleepy all the time and Jungwoo would give him some coffee candy. As Jungwoo walked passed right by Daeyoung, he would slip a pack of coffee candy right in his doctor’s gown pocket and I found this to be so adorable. I couldn’t help but to think of Kangje and Dalbong working together like good brothers hehehe….
Daeyoung was so happy to see that Jungwoo cared about him by giving him some coffee candy to wake him up and he smiled when he saw a text message from Jungwoo saying, “Cheer up.” Then Jungwoo was in the corner eating the candy too like a silly little boy in his sexy white doctor’s robe.
Daeyoung and Jungwoo were smiling at each other so sweetly. In What Happens to my family they never smiled like that to each other but in this show we have a lot of fanservice between these bros hehehe … .Jungwoo said, “Fighting, or Cheer on.” While using his fist to gesture that he will cheer him on even if he is sleepy and struggling.
Unfortunately, their close friendship didn’t last too long though. Jungwoo was the spokesperson and told his colleagues that their professor was willing to give them one week off for their hard work.
They gave a round of applause for being able to receive a one week vacation which is a lot for newbies like them. The professor told them to take turns and each take one week off. Their professor had another message for them and it was about going abroad to Africa for volunteering. The professor told them that the big boss wanted them to pick one representative from the PS department too. The professor wanted the person here that has nothing better to do during their one week vacation to sacrifice their time off and volunteer to go to Africa instead.
It seemed like nobody was interested except for Jungwoo and Daeyoung although Daeyoung raised his hand higher than the younger boy. Daeyoung always wanted to do medical volunteering so he would like this chance to experience it. Daeyoung said that he’ll prove himself by going above and beyond and the professor loved that enthusiastic attitude of his. Jungwoo looked disappointed that he wasn’t able to raise his hands high enough to get picked to go to Africa.
It seemed like Jungwoo was concerned about Daeyoung too. Jungwoo thought that Daeyoung wanted to go travel, and get plenty of sleep before he goes off to the military so he was surprised that Daeyoung sacrificed this opportunity to do those things. Jungwoo was right, Dae did want to do those things but he felt like if he didn’t do this volunteer thing now, he probably would never have a chance to do this ever again.
Jungwoo tapped Daeyoung on the shoulder saying that Bin Daeyoung is an awesome man for sacrificing himself to go volunteer but unfortunately a bad accident happened. Jungwoo slapped Daeyoung on the shoulder but Mr. Bin accidentally took a bad step and slipped because of a little plastic bag on the floor. Daeyoung rolled over the stairs and he injured himself so badly in the process. Daeyoung rolled over so badly that he looked like he was in major pain and Jungwoo had a hard time looking at this.
————————————————————————————————————————–
Then we come back to where the four are gathered around listening to Daeyoung telling this sad story.Hongran felt kinda bad and asked Daeyoung if he couldn’t go to Africa because he injured himself so badly. Daeyoung told her that Jungwoo ended up going to Africa in his stead and he ended up staying in Korea. Daeyoung had to wear a cast because he injured his arm so badly because he rolled down the stairs like that. He was struggling with even eating a ramen bowl. Daeyoung coincidentally was watching TV while eating his ramen bowl, Jungwoo was on television. Jungwoo was curing the locals and he looked so good.
Daeyoung told the people that were listening to the story that the documentary on Jungwoo curing the African locals got high ratings and he became an instant success and a star doctor overnight.
Then Hongran was saying that if Daeyoung was able to go, he would’ve become that star doctor. And Daeyoung was like, not really while Jungwoo looked embarrassed by what happened to them in the past.
Haneul was defending her man saying that Hongran is drunk for defending Mr. Bin. Haneul thinks that Hongran was saying drunken words even if she only drank one can of beer so far. Haneul was trying to defend Jungwoo by saying that Bin Daeyoung was the one that wasn’t careful enough to step on the plastic bag and rolled over the stairs so she shouldn’t be blaming Jungwoo for what happened to Daeyoung.
Then Haneul added that there’s no guarantee that it would’ve been a success for Daeyoung if he got a chance to go there. You could tell that Hongran has a thing for Daeyoung at this point because she was defending Dr. Bin. Hongran was saying that it would’ve been a guarantee if Daeyoung went to Africa because she thinks that he is cuter. Daeyoung seemed surprised but touched at the same time while Jungwoo looked sad all of a sudden like a little kid.
Haneul thought that Hongran is being drunk for saying such a thing and she needs to snap out of it already. Hanuel told Hongran that she should go wash her face with cold water so she could snap out of it and her best friend Hongran retorted that Haneul’s the one that needs to wash her face with cold water and wake up from her dream! Hongran thought that Haneul wasn’t being objective about the situation just cus Jungwoo is her lover now.
Haneul was offended by what Hongran just said to her because she feels like she was being fair with what happened between the two men years ago. Haneul was saying that she is being fair by saying that her Jungwoo is the one that’s more handsome than Daeyoung. Jungwoo was making cute faces while doing cute hand gestures because his girlfriend was taking his side no matter what. I hate to be mean but Haneul is right, Jungwoo is hotter than Daeyoung hehehehe…..Now, I’m being objective here! LOL!
Daeyoung was worried that these women would get into a cat fight where they pull each other’s hair out and stuff. Both Hongran and Haneul were shocked so Haneul asked if they pulled each other’s hair out while fighting, which seemed so hard to believe.
The two men tried to make their fight seem tame so they both said they didn’t quite pull out their hair but it more or less just touched it. It’s cute how the two guys are trying to make it sound less embarrassing.
Jungwoo agreed with Daeyoung and said that their heads just touched each other but Haneul didn’t buy that at all. Haneul had a feeling that they did fight to the point where they were pulling each other’s hair out. Hongran was wondering what made the two guys fight like that and then Jungwoo decided to tell the story this time. Jungwoo wanted the girls to listen carefully and objectively judge who was actually in the wrong about this.
Going back to the time when the fight began, Jungwoo walked into the office and one of the nurses told him that she got a call from a television station and they wanted to invite Jungwoo as a guest to one of their programs. Another nurse added that they wanted to interview Jungwoo and obviously Daeyoung was feeling a bit sour about this. I think he was feeling jealous because Jungwoo was getting all the attention and this opportunity could’ve been his if it weren’t for that stupid accident. One of the nurses told Jungwoo that they will give him a call later and Jungwoo thanked the nurses for giving him the message while Daeyoung was fuming even though he wasn’t complaining about it yet.
Daeyoung was sighing because he was trying to release his dissatisfaction about the situation while Jungwoo didn’t know how to react to this situation either. Jungwoo was like, this is a little … .then Daeyoung was like a little what?
Jungwoo expressed that he was burdened by all this attention while feeling a little scared at the same time too. Daeyoung’s reaction was so childish, he was so envious of all the attention that Jungwoo was getting so he was acting all petty. Daeyoung was like, if you are scared why don’t you go tell the people of this nation to hug you, you are the national doctor after all. Daeyoung was being so funny because he was gesturing while mocking Jungwoo out of jealousy.
Jungwoo told Daeyoung that he had a favor to ask him. Jungwoo had a project he was working on but he wasn’t quite ready yet so he asked Daeyoung for help but Dae responded like a child again. He spun his chair around to face Jungwoo and then he said that he belongs to the people of Korea so he should ask them for help instead of him. Jungwoo spun his chair back towards him and asked him what’s up since Dae was acting like a small child.
I can’t believe Daeyoung is so petty like a child but it’s cute though unlike Dalbong’s big brother who was mean but you couldn’t help but to strongly dislike the guy but Daeyoung is charming even if he acts like a little kid.
In What Happens to my family Kangje was the confident and smart one and he was a doctor in that show too while Dalbong was unemployed and not able to hold a job while getting fooled into pyramid scheme out of desperation but here in Dr. Slump, Hyungsik’s character seems so capable compared to Yoon Park’s Bin Daeyoung. After Dr Slump is over I want to rewatch these shows simultaneously so I could compare both Hyungsik and Yoon’s characters from both dramas respectively.
Jungwoo was asking what’s bothering Daeyoung cus it’s obvious that he is bothered by something that’s related to him. And Daeyoung’s like how dare you spin my chair around. At that moment I thought I was seeing Kangje summoned into Dr. Slump for a moment there.
Jungwoo decided to spin Daeyoung’s chair again while he was asking the younger guy if he likes it when he treats him that way. Jungwoo said he is spinning his chair around because he is sarcastically teasing him and mocking him. Daeyoung spun Jungwoo’s chair around and said he has a reason to sarcastically mock him. Jungwoo was like, just forget about the whole thing, I’m gonna spin you round and round like this then.
Jungwoo seemed so upset and this segment brought back memories of when Hyungsik and Yoon Park played brothers in WHTFM! In What Happens to my family Hyungsik and Yoon Park’s characters Dalbong and Kangje bickered and fought all the time/
Jungwoo was like forget it, don’t do it and I don’t want to do this anymore, let’s break up! Jungwoo cracks me up because the bromance between Jungwoo and Daeyoung seemed almost like lovers when he said let’s just break it off although he was being sarcastic about it.
Daeyoung fell to the floor and things escalated even further after that. Daeyoung pulled onto Jungwoo’s hair from behind. My gosh, these two grown men were fighting like little children. They had a good beginning where they cared for one another and Daeyoung ended up becoming jealous of Jungwoo for all his acknowledgement even though Jungwoo is the one that helped Daeyoung pass his test and became a medical doctor.
Jungwoo had his mouth wide open because he received a surprise attack from Mr. Bin. Jungwoo asked Daeyoung if he just grabbed him by the hair and the older boy said, yes I grabbed you by the hair so what? Hahahaha…These guys play like little boys I swear, even teenage boys don’t play like this lol….
Jungwoo said he won’t just let him get away with it if he doesn’t let go of his head on the count to three. Daeyoung was like, what are you gonna do to me huh? Then Jungwoo started counting to three. Jungwoo was right, he wasn’t gonna let Daeyoung get away with it if doesn’t let go of his precious hair. Jungwoo grabbed Daeyoung’s hair too and it became an all out battle between these two men who obviously had beef with each other.
Daeyoung was like how dare you grab onto my precious hair, I’m your hyung for crying out loud hahaha … .Daeyoung wanted respect while he was going at it, what a funny fellow. Yoon Park wasn’t this comical back in What Happens to my family, but our dear Shikkie was quite comical in that show too and now this. Park Hyungsik could pull off any kind of acting and every single thing that he’s been in proves to be the case.
Jungwoo was like, you used both hands and they were really going to town by grabbing each other’s precious hair like that. I laughed so hard with Jung and Dae fighting like a bunch of little boys.
Jungwoo and Daeyoung’s facial expressions while grabbing each other’s hair or more like pulling onto each other’s hair was so funny and priceless that I laughed out loud while watching this segment, quite literally. Then Jungwoo pushed Daeyoung away and Dae was complaining that it stings from what just happened.
Jungwoo was still reacting to his hair being pulled and he didn’t have time to take a breather because Daeyoung came at him again by throwing a stack of papers he found on one of the shelves behind him. Daeyoung threw a stack of papers right at Jungwoo and the stack of papers were everywhere at this point.
And Jungwoo decided to go all kung fu on Dae by first starting out with a low kick then he grabbed a stethoscope that was just sitting on the desk and he was wielding it like a sword. Daeyoung wanted to wield a sword so he tried to grab his name badge so he could use it like a sword. These guys are thinking they are doing some swordplay in a silly martial arts movie or a virtual reality video game. I couldn’t help but to laugh really loud throughout this fight that’s filled with brotherly love.
Unfortunately, Daeyoung wasn’t able to grab his name badge so he ended up being empty handed and this gave Jungwoo an opening to charge at him with the stethoscope/ However, Daeyoung was close to the shelf full of stuff behind him so he was in luck to find a pillow that he was able to use. The way Jungwoo came to Daeyoung with the stethoscope wasn’t deadly at all but goofy more than anything and maybe it’s cus I have seen Shikkie wielding swords in period pieces before and they were pretty deadly. Shikkie was wielding his swords for real in Hwarang and Our Blooming Youth but here it seems more like a joke than anything hahahahaha…
Then Daeyoung started hitting Jungwoo with a pillow, he got him pretty good to the point where Jungwoo made the noise Ah! Daeyoung kept on hitting him and hitting him but sadly Jungwoo took the pillow away from him and now he kept on hitting Dae with the pillow over and over again. Daeyoung fell on the floor and he fell right next to a bed and there was an extra pillow for him to use and now it became a huge pillow fight.
And once Jungwoo and Daeyoung started to do the ultimate pillow fight the background music was so epic just like their situation. The two boys were pillow fighting to the point where the feather and cotton from the inside of the pillows came out. The whole office was dusty with the insides of the pillow but fortunately Jungwoo got the list hit with the pillow that still had some fluff left and this made Daeyoung pass out on the chair.
Then the whole situation ended even more epic by Jungwoo pushing the chair with his feet since it’s one of those chairs with wheels and the younger boy did the hand motion then said, “LEAVE PLANET EARTH NOW!” as if he is in some superhero movie or something.
Haneul couldn’t believe what she just heard which I could totally understand because the story feels a lil too exaggerated but I don’t think it’s made up in any way shape or form. The two men had a lot of disappointments towards each other and all those feelings kept on getting stacked up but they didn’t properly deal with it on time so they had to pay the heavy price of a bickering of the century.
Haneul was embarrassed after hearing that story so she scooted closer to Hongran instead. Hongran was like my little Jinwoo wouldn’t fight like that. See, these grown men were worse than actual little boys like Jinwoo. Even real little boys don’t don’t fight like this. Even Hongran couldn’t believe that Daeyoung had a fight with Jungwoo like a little child and even her little Jinwoo wouldn’t do that.
Jungwoo was trying to clarify what happened back then, he was telling Daeyoung that he didn’t want Dae to be in a difficult spot after what happened so he gave up his one week vacation and even canceled all his plans so he could fill in the spot for Dae. Jungwoo was disappointed that Daeyoung didn’t give him words of encouragement after returning from Africa but just complaining underneath his breath instead.
Daeyoung decided to open up to Jungwoo and told him that he was actually jealous of him at the time and he admitted to him that he was being petty. Daeyoung went even further by saying that he wasn’t in a good mental state at the time because he got a divorce with his wife/ Eunjung’s mother and it was official because he sealed the deal with the paperwork.
Daeyoung was asking if Jungwoo remembers about his wife’s family that looked down on him because they had money and status. Daeyoung had to answer his father in law’s phone calls even while he was in the surgery room and on his off days he had to take his mother in law to the golf course to diagnose the faces of all her rich friends.
That’s why Daeyoung got a divorce because he couldn’t endure that anymore. So seeing Jungwoo become a star doctor, he couldn’t help but to think he should’ve been in that spot. After being treated like crap by the in-laws, then a divorce made him more vulnerable to other people’s success. Daeyoung wanted to succeed so he could prove to his in-laws his worth. This is the reason why he felt miserable seeing Jungwoo succeed like that.
Then Jungwoo apologized to Daeyoung. He felt really bad because he didn’t know about any of this. Daeyoung apologized to Jungwoo in return and Jungwoo thinks that he’s the one in the wrong for this. But now Daeyoung was insisting that he was the one in the wrong. Now, they were both blaming themselves for what happened that day.
Jungwoo and Daeyoung were blaming themselves for what happened that day and Jungwoo turned around because he was only able to hear them and realized that Haneul wasn’t there. Daeyoung also realized that Hongran wasn’t there either and he was wondering where they went and if they did something wrong for them to run off like that.
Haneul and Hongran decided to go get ice cream and as they were walking to the nearby table Haneul told her friend that it’s her first time ever hearing about a residency doctor fighting his fellow colleague with a stethoscope. Then Hongran agreed with what Haneul was saying but she was defending Daeyoung by saying that she understands where he was coming from. Haneul glared at Hongran and I think she was on to her about something hehehehe….
Haneul was asking Hongran if she had a thing for him and she certainly didn’t deny it and she said it with a smile too. Yes, Hongran does like Daeyoung and I think the same goes for him too.
Haneul was surprised with Hongran’s answer and she went on to say that it could be empathy or just a compassionate feeling towards him but she can’t help but to be attracted to him unlike other men that she runs into. Hongran feels moved by him and she thinks that Daeyoung looks like a little elk that’s been cornered. Hongran thinks Daeyoung looks cute and he is definitely her ideal type in the looks department. Fortunately, Haneul was supportive and she encouraged Hongran the best of luck with her man that looks like an elk. Haneul thinks that an elk that’s cornered would look good with the sound of a grass bug. So basically, Haneul was using a poetic way to say that her friend would go well together with Daeyoung. I’m glad she is supportive about it, it would be bad if she wasn’t. Afterall, Hongran is the one that helped Jungwoo and Haneul see each other differently by saying that Jungwoo might be Haneul’s first love.
Hongran was wondering if Haneul is gonna continue to work at Daeyoung’s clinic but Haneul seemed unsure about it. Hongran started talking about Kyungmin. Hongran couldn’t understand why he quit his professor position. He got to be the director of that pharmaceutical company because realistically you are able to be doing both things at the same time.
Hongran just couldn’t comprehend why Kyungmin quit while stomping on Haneul to snatch that position away from her and on top of that he quit only a few months later.
Hongran has a friend that is a reporter that usually does journalism for articles relating to the medical industry and she was wondering if Haneul was interested. Hongran was saying that the journalist could find what ins and outs of Min Kyungmin are right now.
Hongran thinks that if there’s something on Kyungmin then perhaps Haneul could return to the hospital. Hongran also thinks that maybe Hanuel could use this opportunity to expose what Kyungmin did to her like snatching her essay papers away from her and using it as his own.
Hongran doesn’t seem to care about that anymore. She seems to like the ordinary life that she is living now thanks to Jungwoo. Jungwoo drinks in the afternoon with her mom, and he also gets drunk off his ass with her brother and uncle then brings home hotteok for her to eat. And he even brought her to the campsite to allow her to have the experience of going on a school field trip which also gives her a chance to spend quality time with her bestie too. Haneul thinks that she missed living a peaceful and ordinary life in the past.
Hanaeul was telling Hongran that she didn’t really take importance in family, lovers, friends and the people around her because she thought all those things were meaningless since she was only obsessed with writing papers, school, and work. However, she realized that she was able to be cured by the simplest and the most ordinary things in life. Hongran agreed with her and said living an ordinary life could be difficult but also great to the point it’s satisfying.
Things are going well for Haneul so she doesn’t want to think about the unhappy memories anymore. She just wants to live a joyful life and be happy with the little things in life, at least for the time being.
Haneul put her arm around her bestie and headed back then we see Jungwoo sitting in front of the grill sighing. My gosh, Hyungsik looks so hot in front of the grill and that sound he makes when he sighs too. Jungwoo asked Daeyoung if he wanted another can of beer and he was most certainly okay with it.
Jungwoo and Daeyoung opened their can of beer and as they were about to drink it, Dae started asking about Haneul, making sure that she’s okay and Jungwoo was wondering why he was asking about her. Daeyoung was talking about what Kyungmin did to Haneul coincidentally when he was on the rooftop.
Daeyoung expressed that he was really worried about Jungwoo when he heard about that incident not too long ago. Daeyoung believed that he wouldn’t have to worry too much since there was Kyungmin to take care of him and comfort him in times of need. Daeyoung was shocked to find out that Kyungmin was that kind of a person who committed such a thing towards Haneul like that.
Daeyoung asked Jungwoo if Kyungmin does any kind of drugs. I guess he wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but Daeyoung felt like there was something about Min Kyungmin. Jungwoo was shocked that Daeyoung asked such a thing and was like what?! You mean drugs?!
Jungwoo didn’t want to believe that Kyungmin was into that but Daeyoung felt suspicious about him because he saw something a long time ago that indicated the fact that he might be doing drugs Daeyoung saw Kyungmin carrying around powdered medicine back in the day.
Kyungmin used to visit Jungwoo and he would treat both of them out for a good meal when they weren’t doing anything. Daeayoung bumped into Kyungmin and he was in residency for four years by that point. Kyungmin asked if Daeyoung was okay because he bumped into him. Unfortunately, Daeyoung found a little bag of powder from the floor and he hasn’t seen powdered medicine in a long time since people in Korea haven’t had powdered medicine for some time now.
Kyungmin made an excuse saying that he gets prescribed powdered medicine because for some reason he’s not able to swallow pills. Back then Daeyoung thought it wasn’t a big deal but now he can’t help but to be suspicious about it after hearing and seeing what’s been going on lately.
Daeyoung doesn’t want to think this way but he feels like that so-called medicine could possibly be cocaine. Jungwoo stated that he’s never seen Kyungmin take any pills. Jungwoo felt like a fool because he hadn’t thought of this and he told Daeyoung that he once saw Kyunmin adding powdered drugs into his drink even if it was a bit blurry.
And when he was examined while he was in the ER, he had zolpidem in his system and around that period Jungwoo was taking sleeping medicine because he had trouble sleeping for various reasons. Jungwoo thought that it could possibly be the remainder of what he was taking, so that’s why he didn’t make a big deal out of it. Daeyoung was wondering why he would do such a thing to him even if it were to be true. Daeyoung was wondering if Kyungmin had something against him and if so why…..Daeyoung was thinking he had some personal beef with Jungwoo but he couldn’t put a finger on the reasons why though.
However, Jungwoo was curious about something and he is well aware that zolpidem only comes in pill form so he was wondering how he was able to get it in powder form. Jungwoo thinks that everything is all planned if he was able to get the medicine in powder form somehow and this means that everything Kyungmin was doing was purposeful. Jungwoo was always curious to why Kyungmin used zolpidem because realistically if he was really after Jungwoo and wanted to get rid of him he would have used something more intense.
But it’s a different story if it happened to be the medicine that he personally takes and he carries it around with him wherever he goes and this is what Jungwoo thinks, at least for now. This could mean that Kyungmin just had an urge to put that drug into his drink.
Kyungmin had a surprise visitor and it was that guy Kang Jinseok who gave Jungwoo the USB on his trial day but for some reason Kyumin’s facial expression looked really grim. He was wondering why this Kang guy showed up all of a sudden. Kang Jinseok decided to visit Kyungmin’s fancy office because he wanted to get something from him that is owed to him and this goes to show that Kyungmin didn’t keep his end of the bargain whatever that may be.
Apparently, Kyungmin was the one who discovered the candid/hidden cameras that Kang installed first and he didn’t let anybody else know about it but kept it to himself for two days. Also, Kang wanted a detailed explanation from Kyungmin with the reasons why he did those things.
Kyungmin looked like a pure psychopath and with that scary look on his face he told Kang that he couldn’t really find a reason to give him the explanation that he thinks he deserves. Kang couldn’t help but be curious about the reason why this crazy Kyungmin kept his personal belongings for a couple of days. Kang felt that he had every right to be curious about what Kyungmin could have done with his cameras while he kept it to himself like that. Kyungmin looked pissed for whatever reason and he told Kang to watch his mouth.
Jungwoo asked Haneul if she enjoyed the trip and of course Haneul enjoyed it to the fullest thanks to him. Haneul’s planning to make a scrapbook sort of thing regarding the trip and she’ll send it over to him once it’s all ready for him to see and Jungwoo smiled because he is truly content by it.
Then Jungwoo was sighing and Haneul was worried so she asked him if he was concerned about something. Haneul noticed that his face has been looking a bit grim ever since last night. Jungwoo told his girlfriend that it’s not a big deal then Haneul told her boyfriend that she has to go see her doctor today.
Haneul told Jungwoo that she won’t be late so when she comes back they should have dinner together and Jungwoo nodded while smiling. Jungwoo’s sweet girlfriend told him that he could eat first if he’s not able to wait. Jungwoo told Haneul that he is good at waiting so she could take her time coming home.
Jungwoo and Haneul were slowly walking back home and I was able to check out Jungwoo/Mr. Park carefully and wow he is so gorgeous!
Hongran thanked Daeyoung for coming along with her. Daeyoung wanted to go because Hongran gave him the chance cards to use so he felt like it was his duty to come along. Hongran used one up to learn how to ride a bike and she was wondering what she should use for the remaining ones. Hongran wants to use it on something really important though.
.Hongran was wondering if Daeyoung would be able to take Jinwoo to a public bathhouse. Hongran hasn’t been able to take Jinwoo to the public bathhouse because the boys older than 5 years of age are not allowed to go into the women’s side. Then Hongran was thinking about taking Jinwoo on a camping trip.
Hongran was wondering what Daeyoung will use the remaining chance cards for. Daeyoung wants to talk about them, their relationship. Daeyoung doesn’t want to talk about their friends, their children but about them. Daeyoung said that he is curious about Hongran and wants to get to know her better. Daeyoung said they should talk more about them when they see each other again. I love the background music as Daeyoung drives through the scenery and the two look so happy just like the main couple.
Haneul went to go see her doctor and her doctor lowered the dosage of her medicine and he was wondering if she has been able to easily transition from a higher dosage to a lower one without any side effects and difficulties. Fortunately, Haneul did not notice any difficulties cus of the recent changes to her medication.
Haneul’s doctor showed her some of the programs that they offer using the tablet/ipad and there are a lot of lessons and videos that could help her. So if she is curious about anything and wants to know more about something she could refer to the video lessons that they offer on their website.
The background photo for the tablet/ipad was a photo with Kyungmin in it and that’s why she wanted to take a closer look at it and made the doctor wonder why she’s so curious about it. Apparently, Kyungmin was part of the medical crew at Daehan medical center but Haneul was surprised that he did volunteer work in the past.
It hasn’t been that long since Kyungmin became part of the volunteer team and according to Haneul’s doctor it’s only been two years since he joined the team. Haneul was wondering if the volunteer team is being supported by Haesung Pharmaceuticals. Haneul was wondering if the Haesung Pharmaceuticals is the place that Min Kyungmin transferred to as the director and Haneul’s doctor told her that it’s true.
Haneul thought it must have been a good thing for the clinic that she has been attending and according to her doctor, Haesung Pharmaceuticals supports the Korean medical association and also the Macau medical association too.
Haneul was surprised that Haesung Pharmaceuticals supports the Medical Association of Macau too. Haneul learned something new through this conversation with her doctor, the wife of Haesung Pharmaceuticals is a person from Macau.
Haneul was wondering why Kyungmin didn’t say anything since when medical volunteers leave for a while, they usually say something and notify the people around them. Haneul felt like there was no reason for Kyungmin to hide any of this.
Haneul called Hongran so she could connect her to that journalist that she was telling her about on the trip. Haneul obviously wanted to see this journalist because she wanted more info on the relationship between Kyungmin and Haesung Pharmaceuticals.
There’s been news going around that the drugs that Haesung invented/developed will pass the FDA requirements. Haneul wanted to know more about the papers written about it but the journalist guy, Kim Do Yoon, hasn’t read it yet but all he knows is that it’s a severe pain reliever that Min Kyung Min has been researching on. And apparently there’s hardly any side effects.
Haneul was surprised to hear all this and she thinks that normally a lot of these new drugs don’t fully pass the FDA requirements. Haneul was saying that a lot of these drugs only have 5 chances of passing the FDA requirements. The journalist was saying that there’s a high chance that it will pass. However, there are rumors going around that the source info for this is not really legit.
Haneul was confused to why the journalist was saying this but according to him when there are drugs that are unbelievably revolutionary and it will most likely pass the final level of the FDA requirements then the Korean congress wouldn’t just leave them alone because the popularity of it will be that much higher that they would all want a piece of that pie too.
The journalist told Haneul that one of the reporters that he knew cooperated with one of the pharmaceutical companies and then he wrote a fake article on it and even manipulated the numbers for it. And there’s a rumor going around that a particular journalist is the source material for this particular article.
After hearing about everything from this journalist guy, Haneul went over to the library and started digging into things, Nam Haneul was certainly on research mode. As Haneul was looking into this while at the library, she was thinking about some other things that the journalist told her. The guy told her that Haesung Pharmaceuticals might have some dirt on them. Apparently, the CEO isn’t all that interested in the pharmaceutical industry but there’s a rumor going around that he bought the place so he could mess around with the finances.
And there’s this other rumor that he is related to organized criminals in Macau. Haneul remembered the time when some guy accidentally bumped into her on the day Jungwoo was coming out from the courthouse after his trial was over for the day. The man that Haneul bumped into that day was the Vice CEO of Haesung Pharmaceuticals. Haneul thought about it and couldn’t help but to wonder why the CEO of Haesung showed up for Jungwoo’s trial.
While Haneul was trying to analyze what’s really going on her mom called and told her that Bada is at the police station. Bada told the cop that he witnessed a guy that was tailgating Jungwoo on the day that he moved into the rooftop apartment. Bada assumed that it was that one plastic surgeon that gave the USB to Jungwoo named Kang Jinseok.
And according to the cop Bada was right about the fact that it was Kang Jinseok who followed Jungwoo and trespassed into his apartment as well but it wasn’t on the day that Jungwoo moved in though.
The police officer was telling Bada that Kang Jinseok wasn’t even in Korea at the time so it couldn’t have been him and Bada couldn’t believe it so he thought he was lying about it and the cop told him that there’s no reason for him to lie about that one thing when he admitted to everything else. Also, there’s a record of Kang not being around at the time because he flew to Los Angeles for a seminar.
The cop narrowed down some people that might have been there during the time that Bada talked about. The cop told Bada to take a look carefully and take his time so he would be able to see if he recognizes anybody. Bada was wondering what Haneul was doing at the police station and she heard that he was there from their mom.
Haneul was wondering what the commotion was about and as soon as the cop paused the recording, she was able to see who the man was. She looked like she didn’t want to believe it but it was him indeed.
Haneul looked devastated and she looked like she was about to cry because she realized that their misery was coming closer than they both originally thought. Haneul realized that the misery they tucked in for their current happiness was starting to become a reality.
When Jungwoo was in bed at the ER, he was deep asleep and it looked like Kyungmin was worried. Kyungmin looked like he was praying or something but as soon as Jungwoo woke up, he was freaking out asking him if he was okay and all.
Haneul felt like Kyungmin showed sincerity when he was expressing concerns towards Jungwoo that it was hard to doubt him in any way. Kyungmin was always the closest to you, so he acts like a person that’s so far away from you. Haneul knows what kind of person Kyungmin truly is because she experienced the kind of person he is while being so close. Kyungmin shows warmth and then suddenly he will turn cold on you on a drop of a hat. Haneul could hope that things that are happening around here aren’t that dangerous and critical.
Kang Jinseok installed seven candid cameras in different places. Jinseok knows all the places where he installed those cameras so he asked Kyungin where the last one was. According to Kang even the cops don’t know about these details and he was wondering if Kyungmin is curious to know about it since anything could’ve been recorded.
Kyungmin was so pissed that he threw his whiskey glass against the wall. Now, Kyungmin took off his fake ass mask and completely revealed his true self to us. I always knew that Kyungmin was the real bad guy, not Kang. It’s just that the show tucked away the true evil so we could see some sweet moments with Jungwoo and Haneul for a bit.
Haneul called Kyungmin because obviously she had something important to say to him but Kyungmin felt like they no longer should have anything to talk about. Haneul asked Kyungmin why he came by their house when Jungwoo moved in but left without saying anything. Haneul came up with a conclusion that the reason why Kyungmin didn’t say anything was because there was something that he wanted to hide from Jungwoo.
Kyungmin came to pick Haneul up so he could talk to her in person although she had no intention in talking to him in person. All she wanted him to do was answer her questions over the phone. Kyungmin wanted her to get in the car although she didn’t really want to do that. Haneul wanted to just talk to him there while she was standing on the sidewalk but Kyungmin assumed that it was something private so it would be better if she got in the car.
Haneul decided to get in the car because the street was all backed up with other cars so she had no other choice but to get in Kyungmin’s car. Jungwoo was obviously worried because she wasn’t home just yet. I guess Jungwoo was thinking that she should’ve been home by now.
Jungwoo was wondering why she isn’t home yet, he was so worried that he had to text her, asking her where she is at. Jungwoo was wondering why she was not responding then asked if something happened?
Kyungmin was driving them somewhere and while he was driving Haneul asked why he quit so quickly when he barely got his teaching position. Haneul assumed that the pharmaceutical company might have needed at least one university hospital professor in order for them to develop/invent a new drug then Kyungmin sneered at her like a punk.
Haneul showed Kyungmin the papers and she told him that she enjoyed reading it but there were a lot of errors though.Haneul was curious to why that kind of paper was able to pass the second level of FDA requirement. Then Haneul started to talk about what she heard from the journalist where they spread the fake studies done through the media and it looks like someone trying to manipulate the stats for their personal benefits.
Haneul asked Kyungmin what she thinks about all this and he said she wants to know too much. Haneul said that’s the tip of the iceberg because there’s something that she is really curious about which she hasn’t even asked yet. Haneul decided to get straight to the point while showing him an article with the picture of the vice ceo of Haesung. She asked why he appeared during Jungwoo’s court trial.
Kyungmin looked frightened and angry all at the same time. Then Haneul said that she is sure that she ran into him that day and that’s why she remembers his exact face. Then Haneul really decided to get right to the point now, she asked if Jungwoo’s accident during the surgery is related to Haesung Pharmaceuticals. Haneul really laid it on thick by asking something that Kyungmin would hate the most. She asked if he is directly related to Jungwoo’s accident during that surgery. Obviously, Haneul nailed it, nailed everything so this is why Kyungmin couldn’t focus on driving anymore.
Luckily they were able to avoid the accident at first. There was a large truck that came their way and despite how Kyungmin couldn’t really focus, he managed to avoid the truck coming right at them. However, as the two were taking a breather another truck came right at them and crashed into them. I don’t know if it’s the same truck or a different one…..I feel like the truck symbolizes something because Haneul almost gets run over by a truck in Episode 1 as well, now that I think about it……
Jungwoo was starting to get worried, he was so worried that he came out to see if she was coming home. Unfortunately, though she won’t be making it home soon, or at least for a while since she got into a really bad car accident, she’s not the only one that got hurt, even Kyungmin is too since they were in the same car that got hit by a truck.
As the episode draws to a close you hear Haneul’s narration. She was talking about the crisp night air, drinking a warm cup of tea, and walking through the streets without any worries in mind. Was I being too greedy for wanting those simple pleasures in life? It made me sad to hear those words, by the narrator Nam Haneul while seeing blood drip through her face because of this mean accident. I couldn’t help but to feel emotional. I feel so bad for Haneul’s family and also Jungwoo at this sad moment of this episode.
Jungwoo was starting to regret saying that she could take her time coming home. He was in pain after pain for a long time after saying those words to her. Jungwoo was full of regret and I feel so bad right now, poor baby….
The next episode is gonna be a sad one since Haneul got into a really horrible accident. From the looks of it Haneul is in the hospital and her mom found out from the doctor that she is basically in a coma. Jungwoo was asking Daeyoung? Why is Haneul still in a coma? Jungwoo was in his blue hospital gown and came into Haneul’s hospital room and told her that he’s been praying that she’ll wake up soon. Jungwoo was on the bus looking out the window saying how much he loves Haneul.
I’m assuming that Jungwoo received a little note written by Haneul. Haneul said that he should cheer up and she’ll do the same. Jungwoo went over to Kyungmin’s hospital room and he was so angry at himself because from the looks of it his lady love went out and met up with Min Kyungmin just for him. Jungwoo was wondering if Haneul is in this situation cus of him. Jungwoo was crying, not knowing what to do. Everybody seemed devastated, especially Mrs. Kong and Yeo Jungwoo.
The last two episodes felt so long, they have been really laying it on thick. We have four more episodes to go now and at least for the next two episodes we won’t see a whole lot of sweet moments between our main couple because Nam Haneul is in the hospital right now.
I feel like we made a full swing back to episode 1 and like I mentioned earlier, I wonder if the truck symbolizes something because Haneul almost gets run over by a truck in episode 1……I guess we’ll just have to wait for episode 13 to come out to find out. We have three more days left to find out what happens. I feel so bad for Jungwoo and Haneul’s family. Episode 12 started out so sweet and it was like that throughout most of it although they did mention Kyungmin here and there and then suddenly it got pretty dark……..
