Jungwoo and Haneul are officially together now and they were walking back home from a nice evening together then it was time for them to go back into their own homes. Jungwoo took Haneul’s phone and erased his name but instead he put his number as BOYFRIEND instead of Yeo Jungwoo. Haneul changed her name and saved it as GIRLFRIEND and besides that she wanted to even erase all the female phone numbers on his phone which he didn’t seem to mind.
Jungwoo and Haneul did a pinky swear on something and Jungwoo put his face close to Haneul’s face and he told her to look at him to her heart’s content then they were complimenting each other. Jungwoo was telling Haneul that she is cute and he likes the way she acts shy and he thinks that is so adorable. After Jungwoo said that to her she complimented him as well saying that he is cute. They were both saying that they are the cutest people they have ever met and it’s still like then and will be like that in the future too.
Jungwoo and Haneul really did seem like a couple for real unlike the first go around. They were naturally holding hands when they were walking home and Jungwoo was walking with his arm around Haneul’s shoulders. I completely forgot to mention what made the two start to compliment each other in the first place. It all started cus Jungwoo kissed Haneul on the forehead, it was basically his innocent way of a goodnight kiss but Haneul was acting all shy and Jungwoo told her how cute she was being and that’s what started the two complementing one another.
Haneul was confused a little because she always thought that he thought of her as ugly but he defended himself by saying that he always thought she was pretty but occasionally she would act a wee bit negative that upset him a little.
Haneul’s family has no idea that she is dating Jungwoo, they are so clueless which makes me laugh. Haneul’s family was watching tv while drinking beer. Haneul finally got home looking all happy. She was asking her family members why they were drinking beer without her in the most happy and jolly way possible but of course they had no idea why. The family members thought that she joined a cult/some weird religion or she won the lottery but Bada thought maybe she has bi polar disorder or something.
Haneul excused herself and went into her room but as soon as she got into her room she got a call from Jungwoo. They were curious about each other and wanted to learn more about each other and then started asking all kinds of questions about one another.
One of the questions was what time do you sleep? How many hours of sleep do you get and such. It seemed like Jungwoo and Haneul had a lot in common. They chatted on the phone for a while and they decided to have a late night snack. The two both agreed on having instant black bean noodles, and Haneul thought it might be a good idea to take some scallion kimchi to eat with it. Jungwoo was excited about this but Haneul had to do a repeat of what she did last time which was to sneak into the fridge to get the chives kimchi out of it.
Of course Haneul got caught but she was telling her mother that she was gonna eat it while she wrote her papers which was utter BS! Somehow Mrs. Kong bought the lie and she was able to sneak upstairs to eat a bowl of late night instant black bean noodles with Jungwoo, her new boyfriend.
Jungwoo and Haneul were discussing if they should announce their relationship or not to their hospital colleagues and they both agreed on keeping it a secret from them for a while. However, Haneul thought that it would be better to come clean to their family though because she thinks there is no reason for them to keep their relationship a secret to their family since Haneul’s mom really likes Jungwoo and when he heard that Mrs. Kong likes him, he was so happy then started eating the instant black bean noodles like crazy.
Jungwoo was enjoying the black bean noodles but the scallion kimchi made by Haneul’s mother made it even better. It’s so funny how Jungwoo referred to Haneul’s mom as his mother in law already as he was complementing the kimchi made by Mrs. Kong.
I can’t help but to crack up Jungwoo complimenting Mrs. Kong’s cooking but he keeps on referring to her as mother in law, or our dear mother. Haneul’s reaction is funny too because she’s like don’t be so silly while smiling. These two are kinda like newlyweds instead of boyfriend and girlfriend. Haneul put a chopstick full of scallion kimchi on top of his instant black bean noodles. My gosh, they are like newlyweds I tell ya. Haneul was telling Jungwoo that scallion kimchi goes best with black bean noodles.
I really love the comedic but romantic instrumental music playing in the background while Jungwoo and Haneul were almost acting like a married couple. After they were done eating, they decided to have a cup of tea. Haneul looked cold because she wasn’t dressed all that warm so Jungwoo asked her if she was cold or something. Jungwoo said that he opened up the window for a bit to ventilate the apartment. Haneul was okay with it since she’s a bit sleepy after finishing a bowl of instant black bean noodles. She was saying that the cold air keeps her awake.
Jungwoo was being a sly dog though. Jungwoo gave Haneul his greasy smile and told her that she should lay down if she is sleepy. However, Haneul was acting shy and asking him why he is tapping on the bed like that as if he is trying to brag about it or something. And Jungwoo said he is bragging about and she should just come and lay down with him but Haneul was looking super shy but I mean, when wasn’t she not shy around him? Well there were times when she had more courage than Jungwoo, like the time when she told him to take off his shirt so she could iron his shirt for him so he could look nice for court hahaha…
Then Jungwoo grabbed her and made her lay on his bed and of course Haneul looked a bit surprised. Then Jungwoo told Haneul to stay with him for thirty minutes and she agreed to it. At first she was acting all shy then suddenly she turned around and faced him.
This new lovely couple was smiling at each other then they closed their eyes and fell asleep. I like the way they were smiling at each other while laying down next to each other. Jungwoo and Haneul were laying next to each other while he had his arm around her. I liked the romantic song that was playing in the background, the song fit the mood and the couple perfectly. Also, the way they were laying down almost looked like a heart shape too.
Haneul’s mom came up to the rooftop apartment and she assumed that Jungwoo probably came by and she assumed right. Unfortunately, Jungwoo forgot to close the windows and Mrs. Kong discovered that.
Jungwoo was tapping Haneul on the shoulder while she was still asleep. Haneul was dead asleep and I guess at some point Jungwoo woke up but I wonder when. Or maybe he didn’t get any sleep at all but even then he looks so happy. He was tapping Haneul’s shoulder while she was asleep like a baby. However, Mrs. Kong discovered the two together although she doesn’t know that the woman lying next to him is her daughter Nam Haneul herself.
Jungwoo had no idea that Mrs. Kong was there looking through the window from outside. He got caught red handed although Haneul’s mom doesn’t know that the girl next to him that he is patting is her own daughter.
Jungwoo got caught red handed and he was greeting Haneul’s mom as if he did something really terrible. I couldn’t help but to laugh because he was on his knees greeting Mrs. Kong in the most formal way possible.
Haneul’s mother was trying to explain that she didn’t mean to see what she saw and Haneul was awake at this point and she was under the blanket looking worried about the situation. Haneul’s mom told Jungwoo that she saw that the window was open and she was gonna close it for him and she didn’t see what she saw on purpose..
Haneul’s mom saw a pair of women’s feet and Jungwoo was trying to come up with a way to justify the situation and as he was trying to explain to Mrs. Kong, who the woman on the bed was but Haneul started pinching him then he was screaming cus it hurt. I really love Hyungsik’s comedic acting. This guy has such a wide range of acting abilities.
Haneul’s mom decided to leave and just let him be and Jungwoo was trying to beg her not to leave for some reason. After Mrs. Kong leaving Jungwoo was like shoot we are doomed and Haneul asked him if her mom is gone or not. After this incident, Haneul thought it would be better if they didn’t tell her famliy about their relationship but Jungwoo didn’t like this idea. Jungwoo didn’t like the fact that Haneul was backing away from what she said the other night.
Haneul felt like if they tell her family that they are together her mother might get weird ideas even if they didn’t really do anything, other than just laying together on the same bed. Haneul feels like this could be a perfect excuse for her mother to misunderstand the situation and start to intervene with every little thing which she doesn’t want. And Jungwoo couldn’t help but to worry about his personal image/ personal reputation because of what just happened.
Jungwoo couldn’t believe that Haneul came up with this silly idea and he thinks that she is not gonna buy it cus she knows that there’s something going on between them. Jungwoo was worried about how this could tarnish his good boy image since if they go with this scenario then her mother is gonna think that he brought another girl over to sleep with him and this would really make him look like a jerk.
Jungwoo is worried that Haneul’s mom is gonna use this against him and be mean to him, which he doesn’t want. I could totally understand where he is coming from with this. Haneul thinks that her mom will eventually find out naturally and the misunderstanding will be resolved when that time comes.
It was time for them to go to work so Haneul excused herself so she could get ready to go to work at the hospital but Jungwoo still wasn’t convinced that this would be resolved naturally. Haneul took a bottle of water from his fridge so she could pretend that she went to go exercise as soon as she got up and Jungwoo was too scared to deal with this alone so that’s why he was whining as Haneul was walking out the door.
Haneul slammed the door quickly and left Jungwoo’s place. He was trying to stop her but he couldn’t but unfortunately one of the plates from the table broke and he felt like this was a bad omen. I love Hyungsik’s comedic acting and he needs to do more comedy. He has range when it comes to facial expressions so comedy acting goes well with Hyungsik in my opinion. Although he is capable of all different styles of acting, I haven’t really seen him do much comedy apart from What Happens to my family and maybe Strong Woman Do Bongsoon.
Haneul’s mom was pissed and Bada was wondering why she was huffing and puffing so he asked her why she was being so pissed off like that. Mrs. Kong was explaining to Bada about how she went up to pick some lettuce from the rooftop and she told him how she discovered Jungwoo who she hasn’t seen in a while but he came with a girl which pissed her off.
Bada was wondering who this woman was and of course Mrs. Kong had no idea who that woman was. Mrs. Kong seemed so pissed off about this. This goes to show that she really did think of him as her future son in law even though she hasn’t said that to him out loud.
Mrs. Kong explained what she saw to Bada. She told him how she was just gonna close the window for him but discovered him laying on his bed, cuddling with a girl. And Bada asked her if that girl was pretty or not with a lot of enthusiasm. Mrs. Kong yelled and said that she had no idea because the girl had covered herself up with a blanket.
Bada told Mrs. Kong that it could possibly be Haneul since she didn’t even see the girl’s face so there’s a chance that it could’ve been Haneul.
Haneul came back home and Bada asked him where she’s coming from in a sing-song kind of way. And Haneul lied to him saying that since she woke up early she went for a little jog around the neighborhood.
Haneul’s acting was so good that her family actually bought her lie. They were convinced that she had just come back from exercising.
So Bada wanted to come up with the conclusion that Jungwoo really got himself another woman and Mrs. Kong looked so pissed off that she was gonna go up there to pull his hair out.
Haneul’s mom was saying that people shouldn’t trust any man or something along the lines of that. Quite literally, Mrs. Kong was saying that she shouldn’t have brought in such a beast with black hair and Bada said that his hair isn’t black but rather a dark brown color. Bada was starting to talk about the exact color of Jungwoo’s hair which he thinks is a natural dark brown but Mrs. Kong doesn’t care about this because to her he is a traitor who betrayed them.
Haneul’s mom was thinking that Jungwoo is being too much because she is working her butt off writing papers while eating scallion kimchi and struggling from bi polar. Haneul overheard all this and looked very conflicted. Haneul’s mom wanted to go up there and beat the crap out of him, starting with biting on his knees. Haneul was concerned after hearing all this.
Haneul’s mom was sarcastically giving Jungwoo a hard time with his clothes, especially his tie but he defended himself by saying that he is dressed so nicely today because they are gonna take a photo of him for the clinic’s website.
It’s so funny how Jungwoo was explaining herself to Mrs. Kong when she didn’t expect a long and detailed explanation from him.
Mrs. Kong was sarcastically telling Jungwoo that she feels really happy for him that things are going well for him and she used his not so crooked necktie as an excuse to choke him like a crazy lady. I loved Jungwoo’s/Hyungsik’s comedic facial expression while being attacked by our dear Haneul’s mother.
Haneul’s mom was beating the crap out of Jungwoo and Haneul saw her dear love getting beaten up by her own mother. I don’t know why but the way Jungwoo was getting beaten up by Haneul’s mom reminded me of the days when Hyungsik played Dalbong back in What Happens to my family. Truth be told, I don’t think I have seen Hyungsik doing anything remotely close to slap stick comedy like this since What Happens to my family.
Jungwoo saw Haneul and he was trying to get her to help her out but she ran back into the house like a wimp. Mrs. Kong beat the living daylights out of our dear Jungwoo and went back into the house after saying, keep up the good work. Jungwoo looks so exhausted after being beaten like that. At least Haneul’s mom gives him attention unlike his actual mother that really isn’t involved in his life whatsoever. I felt bad for Jungwoo looking so tired after a good old fashioned beating by Mrs. Kong.
Hongran was over at her mom’s/aunt’s house to pick up her little boy Jinwoo. Hongran’s mom felt bad because her daughter is working so hard and on top of that raising a child but Hongran thought that it was tougher for her mother since she was taking care of her aunt and also helping with looking after Jinwoo.
Hongran was telling her son not to make it difficult for grandma and make sure to wear his seatbelt and everything then he was basically telling his mom that she is treating him like a little child when he is just a little child….
Jinwoo gave Hongran a present but it was more for Daeyoung. He drew a picture for Daeyoung because he was grateful to him for helping him catch all those ants the other day.
Jinwoo drew a picture of Daeyoung while smiling too and Hongran was smiling as well. I feel like good things are gonna happen between Hongran and Daeyoung pretty soon. But the only thing is how Eunjung, Daeyoung’s teen daughter is going to take this relationship and also what Jinwoo is gonna think of Eunjung and vice versa.
Jinwoo had to leave with his grandma already because he can’t be late to school/kindergarten. Jinwoo won’t be able to see his mom until the weekend though. Hongran called Daeyoung over to give him something and they met outside of the hospital/clinic.
Hongran gave Daeyoung the drawing that Jinwoo drew for Dr. Bin. Hongran’s child drew a picture of him, the ant and Daeyoung. Daeyoung thought that the little one was the ant but apparently that’s supposed to be Uncle Daeyoung/Daeyoung ajusshi.
Daeyoung liked it, he looked so happy. He said that drawing looks very hip so he likes it a lot. Hongran also bought some macaroons along the way too. Daeyoung was saying that it could’ve been better if she bought him a drink/soju instead of buying him those macaroons.
Hongran then responded to him saying that she shouldn’t be drinking with Bin Daeyoung and the macarons aren’t for him but it’s for his daughter Eunjung. Hongran remembered what Daeyoung told her one time about how Eunjung doesn’t like it whenever he buys fish bread and egg bread for her. Obviously, Hongran was paying attention, this goes to show that she was interested in him even then or at least curious about him.
Hongran was telling Daeyoung that girls nowadays like cute, fancy and hot looking things due to using social media a lot. Hongran was saying that they do that to promote their social media page. Hongran gave Daeyoung advice about how to make his daughter happy. She was saying that he should look at the star ratings and buy her the prettiest and the fanciest snack for her.
Jungwoo and Haneul came into the office together and Jungwoo looked like he had no energy at all, poor dude hehehe…I guess Haneul felt so bad that she was trying her best to cheer him up and she was asking him if they should both go down to get some coffee together down at the break room.
One of the female employees came in to let Jungwoo know that they set up everything for him to take a photo of him in front of the clinic’s logo. Jungwoo looked so bummed out and told Haneul in a worn out voice that they should drink coffee together another time. Haneul’s reaction seemed a little concerning though. Haneul at least cheered him on and wished him luck.
Haneul felt so bad so she thought it would be better to just come clean to her mother. Haneul decided to text her mother by telling her that the woman she saw in the morning was her and Bada was right again! He catches on so fast unlike his mother. Maybe it’s cus he is from the MZ generation.
Haneul decided to undo what she wrote and rephrase her text. Instead of saying that the girl she saw earlier was her, she decided to tell her mother that they are dating. Haneul was about to send the message despite how nerve wrecking it is. Haneul is doing all the things that she could’ve done as a teenager now. Haneul got distracted from sending that important text to her mother because of all the commotion that was happening downstairs.
All the women were all over Jungwoo and they were telling him how handsome and cool he looks. All the women were saying that Jungwoo looks hot like a celebrity. These chicks were acting like passionate fangirls hehehe….I could relate to them though. I mean, if you are standing next to Shikkie you would go crazy too because he is so perfect like prince charming.
One of the female employees were telling Jungwoo that he shouldn’t waste his good looks and start up his Neotube again. These women were saying that they will subscribe to his channel and click that like button as well. Jungwoo expressed that now is not the time for that in the most indirect way possible.
One of the ladies came close to Jungwoo saying that he might need more make up even though he really doesn’t need it. She wants to make him more handsome but I think this is just an excuse so she could get super close to him, PERVERT! LOL!
The promotional director was saying that Jungwoo or Director Yeo should put make up on to look nice for the clinic’s website photo. Then the promotional director started to be very personal with him by asking him if he is dating anybody right now. Jungwoo seemed awkward by this question and Haneul wasn’t happy with the girl trying to hit on her man. The promotional director lady decided to be direct with her question by asking him if he has a girlfriend, this chick was obviously hitting on our lovely Dr. Yeo Jungwoo.
Jungwoo was obviously very awkward with this question, he had a hard time being straightforward about this and Haneul was looking a little miffed about this while she was observing the situation on top. Jungwoo thought about what Haneul told her the night before. Haneul told him that they should keep their relationship a secret with the fellow employees at the clinic for the time being to avoid an uncomfortable situation. And this is why Jungwoo tells the promotional director lady that he doesn’t have a girlfriend.
Jungwoo laughed really loud and said it doesn’t make sense for him to have a girlfriend and the girl was like oh you are single too then. Man, this chick is so obvious, she wants him badly hehehe…
Jungwoo repeated himself saying, I really don’t have a girlfriend, I am really solo. Then the promotional director lady asked Jungwoo another personal question and it was about his ideal type. Man, this girl is so darn nosy, argh!
Jungwoo started listing off things regarding his ideal type. Jungwoo said he likes a girl with long hair, with big eyes, and a person that thinks about him more than himself. Haneul was so annoyed by this, more like she was super pissed about this but Jungwoo was laughing like a fool without realizing that Haneul was watching everything.
Jungwoo, Haneul, Daeyoung, Nurse. Do and a few other employees come to eat lunch together. Jungwoo was all smiles while Haneul was miffed about earlier and Jungwoo really has no clue that his girlfriend saw everything that went on at the photo shoot earlier. Daeyoung wants to bring Eunjung over to the restaurant that they are eating in for her birthday next time.
Nurse Do was saying that he is gonna hear it from Eunjung because kids nowadays don’t like traditional food but they are more into pasta, pizza and such. Daeyoung looked like he was reminded of what Hongran told him earlier in the morning. Dr. Bin remembered what Hongran told him earlier about how girls Eunjung’s age like things that would look good on their social media.
Daeyoung was talking about how when you are a plastic surgeon no matter who you know of different backgrounds with different relationship levels will ask you to diagnose their faces whenever they get the chance to. And Dr. Bin also added that you have to be careful when you diagnose people’s faces because if you say it wrong it could sound like you are judging how they look instead of an objective diagnosis.
And one of the lady employees were asking Dr. Bin to give her a diagnosis of her face. Daeyoung was offended that the woman was making him work when he’s on his lunch break trying to eat.
The woman employee was begging Daeyoung to give him a diagnosis of her face and she was using employee welfare as an excuse to get a free diagnosis while Dr. Bin is on his lunch break trying to eat, these women are kinda annoying. I feel like these moments are kinda filler, they need to make this a full blown over an hour long episode so I understand.
The woman employee asked Daeyoung’s opinion about her getting a slight double eyelid surgery. Jungwoo looked interested but miffed while Daeyoung was trying to compliment Director Woo saying that she is still very pretty right now so it’s not really necessary but if she does do it she would look better if she goes under the knife ever so slightly.
Then Jungwoo took a quick look at Director Woo’s face and she doesn’t really need a face job. Then the promotional director asked Dr. Bin if she needs some botox for her face near her lips. Daeyoung then told her if she gets a little bit of that botox injection then she might look ever so slightly younger. However, Jungwoo begged to differ and told Daeyoung that the promotional director doesn’t need any botox for her face.
Daeyoung all of a sudden messed up by saying that Haneul/ Dr. Nam needs a slight filler for her face and then changes tune by saying that her natural state right now is the most perfect. Then Jungwoo screwed up even more by saying that she might need to get fillers then Haneul gave him the eyes.
Jungwoo looked so awkward because he royally made a huge mistake by saying what he just said unlike the other women. Jungwoo grabbed the egg omelet roll and Haneul grabbed it too and called him Director Yeo like someone that’s not even close to him and told him that the omelet roll belongs to her. You know that a girl is pissed when they don’t call you the way they normally call you. Haneul usually calls Yeo Jungwoo, just Jungwoo/Jungwoo ya but here she addressed him formally, she called him Director Yeo. And it made it so much worse because of the way she was looking at him too.
Haneul was making a big deal out of the omelet roll. She was saying that it was divided into eight pieces and there are four people on each side of the table. However, Jungwoo didn’t follow the rules and ate one of the whole pieces by himself. Haneul was explaining to Jungwoo the reason why that specific omelet roll belongs to her.
Haneul was so upset with Jungwoo that she stuffed the whole piece of the omelet into her mouth and Daeyoung was trying to stop them from fighting/bickering like that. It seemed like their bickering/fighting tradition lives on even at work. I wonder if it’s a good idea for a couple working together at the same spot. This reminds me of the fanfic I’ve been working on for the last several months called Comedy Superhero.
Dr. Bin felt awkward watching the two like this. Although this isn’t really fighting/bickering because Jungwoo wasn’t really saying anything to Haneul, talking back. He can’t since he really has nothing to say since he messed up so bad this time. Daeyoung decided to order two extra plates of King omelets so Haneul won’t give Jungwoo such a hard time but he seems to not get the reason why Haneul is so mad.
Haneul was miffed still and Jungwoo looked like a sinner in front of her. The women employees were asking if the director was gonna be buying coffee. My gosh, these chicks annoy the heck out of me….ARGH!
Haneul was so mad that after their co-workers went back into the clinic, she dragged Jungwoo to the corner to show him who’s the boss. I thought it was funny how Jungwoo asked Haneul why she is doing this to him in the most formal way possible. Obviously, Jungwoo is a little scared. In Dr. Slump, he occasionally would use Jondemal to Haneul. Jondaemal is formal speech in Korean. Jungwoo talked to Haneul by using Jondemal a few times already in this show and one instance I can think of was the time when Haneul was gonna iron his shirt for him back in Episode 3?
Haneul was so mad and I think Jungwoo had it coming. Jungwoo was trying to explain the situation by saying that it’s just his habit to diagnose people’s faces but that doesn’t make sense because he told those other women that they don’t need to do anything to their faces.
Jungwoo just said that it might be good if she gets a filler/botox without thinking too much about it. Jungwoo was like it’s really unnecessary to get botox/fillers but it’s not so bad because a lot of people do get fillers after all but it looked like Haneul wanted to beat the shit out of this guy hehehe…
Haneul was like, you are obsessed with your work? I have a job too, do you want me to put you to sleep? Man, Haneul is a sweet gal but you don’t want to piss her off though hahaha…
Jungwoo was so scared by what Haneul was saying to him. Jungwoo thought that it might be a good idea if she gets botox/fillers cus she is always putting too much pressure on her forehead and he finds that so adorable. Jungwoo felt bad that she’s been putting too much pressure on her forehead ever since she was young. Jungwoo was trying so hard to come up with all kinds of excuses and of course Haneul wasn’t buying any of it.
Haneul was upset because Jungwoo said that Haneul was the prettiest girl he’s ever seen in his entire life but he is recommending fillers/botox to her. I can understand where she’s coming from, I think I’d be upset too if Jungwoo was my boyfriend and he said that to me.
Haneul is disappointed in the fact that Jungwoo would just lightly say those comments that he is not able to take accountability for. Jungwoo had no idea what Haneul was talking about. He was wondering if he made another mistake with his words but Hanuel didn’t tell him anything and all she said was she’s very disappointed in him.
Haneul was telling Jungwoo that she is disappointed in him because he told her that he will erase the phone numbers of all the girls on his phone in the coolest way possible and she obviously took his word for it. So this is why Haneul thought Jungwoo was the one woman man hopeless romantic style but he looked so excited around all those women doing his makeup and all.
The thing that made Haneul upset the most was when he told them that he doesn’t have a girlfriend. Jungwoo felt like this was unfair because Haneul was the one that wanted to keep their relationship a secret to their co-workers for the time being. But what Haneul meant was to keep a secret that he and Haneul are dating and not about him being in a relationship in a general sense.
Haneul just wanted Jungwoo to tell those women that he is taken without being too specific. Jungwoo is not very bright, he might have been popular with women all his life but he obviously is still innocent when it comes to women.
Haneul was expressing her feelings of disappointment but Jungwoo was just as disappointed since he was being choked by her mom earlier but she didn’t do anything about it. Haneul won’t be able to deny this because he did see her and vice versa.
Jungwoo was hurt because Haneul didn’t back him up when he was being attacked by her mother like that.
Hanaeul was saying that situation couldn’t be helped because her mother caught him holding her while in bed so it was difficult for her to tell Mrs. Kong the truth about everything. Haneul was frustrated that he wasn’t understanding as she wanted him to be. Haneul was planning to explain everything to her mom at the right time though.
Jungwoo understands where she was coming from but he couldn’t help but to feel a little disappointed though. Now Jungwoo turned it against her and asked her if she couldn’t understand him being disappointed with the situation.
The two were bickering about being disappointed and understanding then suddenly Jungwoo was asking Haneul about her MBTI and Haneul was wondering why he was asking her that out of the blue.
And one of the lady employees came and stopped their bickering thankfully then Haneul said she was going in then walked off without saying anything more to Jungwoo while he was looking like an awkward fool again.
Jungwoo was sure that he was T out of the MBTI while moving his arms. Whenever Hyungsik moves around like that, even when he is acting I want to dance with him hehehe…
Jungwoo and Haneul were so awkward in the office. Haneul was messing with the papers making noise and she was about to take off and Jungwoo asked if she’s taking off then she’s like aren’t you gonna go?
Haneul took off no matter how Jungwoo was feeling and they were both at the bus station while being awkward with each other again. I feel like the theme of this episode is I FEEL SO AWKWARD!
Haneul was waiting for the bus and Jungwoo followed her and she was like why did he follow me while giving him the eye from the side. Like I said earlier, Haneul is a sweet lady but don’t piss her off.
Jungwoo obviously wanted to say something but he was having a hard time so he was just looking over her shoulder. It seemed like Haneul just wanted him to open his mouth already.
Jungwoo was like why isn’t this darn bus coming then the bus came. They both got on the bus and Haneul was asking herself if she should just talk to him first. Haneul decided to just talk to him first because she felt like it really wasn’t a big deal anyway. However, all of a sudden the bus shook and Jungwoo lost his balance then ended up on that one empty seat that Haneul was eyeing on.
Jungwoo was being an idiot because he was so glad that he got that one empty seat without realizing that was the only empty seat left on the bus. He wasn’t being the gentleman and didn’t give the seat to her, this could’ve completely solved the problem but he didn’t use that opportunity. However, he looked around the bus and realized that the seat that he just took was the one and only seat left on the bus, then he realized that he screwed up again. Episode 11 felt like I AM AWKWARD, AND YEO JUNGWOO SCREWS UP AGAIN LOL…
Haneul came home all pissed off. She couldn’t believe that he cut in line and took that seat and she thought that he was gesturing to makeup with her. Haneul realized that Jungwoo is still the same as when they were in High School because even then he didn’t like losing to someone.
Haneul was expecting Jungwoo to text him or something so she looked at her phone but nothing and instead she saw some photos of a nice place and she was thinking that they should be dating at such a place but they are in this silly situation right now. I could understand why Haneul was bummed out right now. COME ON JUNGWOO, TEXT HER! HEHEHE…
Bada came home from the store. He went to the store to buy some ingredients for seaweed soup. Bada bought ingredients to make seaweed soup because it’s Mrs. Kong’s birthday. Koreans eat seaweed soup on their birthdays.
Haneul forgot about the fact that it was her mother’s birthday and Bada couldn’t believe it. Even though Haneul might have been a skilled doctor, Bada is the one that remembers their mother’s birthday after all.
Bada saw the Sky Lounge image that Haneul looked up on the internet earlier and he seemed to be thrown aback by this then her little brother thought that she looked this place up to take their mother there for her birthday. Bada gave her the benefit of the doubt that his dear big sister did not forget about Mrs. Kong’s birthday.
Bada was saying how other daughters take their mothers shopping and take them out to eat but Haneul never did that for her mother ever. Bada asked her if she made reservations and if she did not then she should do that right away. Bada told Haneul to make reservations for four people including their uncle too.
Jungwoo’s puppy eyes! He looked so sad because he pissed off his girlfriend like that so he decided to write her a text message.
Jungwoo wrote: Haneul, I’m so sorry about today. You are very pretty but I recommend you to get botox. I even tried to eat the remaining last king omelet roll too. I am also really sorry for acting like a single man.
Jungwoo was full of emotion as he was writing this. OMG! I LOVE PARK HYUNGSIK AS AN ACTOR! I WISH HE COULD JUST COME OVER HERE AND HUG ME! HEHEHEHE!
Haneul got a quick shower and came back into her room and saw her phone go off and she practically ran over there. You could just tell that she was anticipating his call or even his text.
Haneul was excited because she thought it was Jungwoo that texted her but it wasn’t. When she unlocked her phone, it wasn’t a text from Jungwoo but it was back to the website for that sky lounge place.
Haneul felt like she just couldn’t do anything right. She wasn’t a good daughter while she wasn’t succeeding with her newly found relationship while she was sighing.
It seemed like Jungwoo was still working on the text that was going to be sent to Haneul.
Jungwoo continued: However, the situation when we were on the bus is all a misunderstanding. I lost my balance and my body accidentally fell over to the seat.
Jungwoo broke his concentration and was becoming frustrated working on this text. It felt like he was writing a self reflection letter for little elementary school children.
Then Jungwoo decided to be short and sweet about it.
Jungwoo: Can I see your face before going to bed? I miss you alot.
Jungwoo is mature and like a child all at once. This character really is Park Hyungsik in a nutshell. It’s funny because Haneul is waiting for Jungwoo’s text but he’s still working on it. He decided to be short and sweet about it but he thought about what Haneul told him the night before. Haneul said that when she is mad she needs some time to cool off by herself…..
Jungwoo was being an idiot again. He was gonna send her that short and sweet message but he didn’t because of what she told him the night before so he just gave up, threw his phone away then laid on his bed while looking sad. Jungwoo was acting like a little kid crying. I’m frustrated with Jungwoo right now but at the same time I think it’s really funny to see this side of him. Jungwoo reminds me of Cha Dalbong from What Happens to my family a lot. But the thing is, Jungwoo seems like a combination of a whole bunch of Shikkie characters that he’s played over the years.
Haneul’s mom got a phone call from her sister in law because it’s her birthday. She thanked her sister in law for congratulating her but she feels like it’s no big deal because birthdays are just a reminder of you getting a year older anyway.
Haneul’s aunt was concerned about her well-being. Her aunt thought that maybe she should’ve treated the guy she went out on a blind date a bit better. The aunt was rubbing it on her birthday saying that Haneul doesn’t have a job and she also doesn’t have a man. Mrs. Kong just hung up on the aunt because she felt like she just called to piss her off and not to congratulate her. Then Haneul’s mom was looking towards Jungwoo’s room and said that her daughter is gonna meet someone way better than him.
Haneul’s mom saw something inside the waste basket outside of Jungwoo’s apartment and it was the same water bottle that Haneul was drinking that morning and automatically tried to justify the situation by saying that the brand of water is everywhere at the supermarket. Then Mrs. Kong saw something that she shouldn’t have seen and it was the plate that Haneul was using that evening for the scallion kimchi.
Mrs. Kong put two and two together and realized that the girl on Jungwoo’s bed that morning was Haneul, even though she didn’t want to believe that would be the case.
Mrs. Kong looked pissed again and Jungwoo was coming down the stairs of his apartment looking so bummed out with no energy at all. Jungwoo was looking at the front door of Haneul’s house and it looked like he was about to text her when the mother came out.
Mrs. Kong asked Jungwoo if he is going to work, he answered yes awkwardly and tried to run off but she kept on calling his name, Jungwoo ya. I liked the way Mrs. Kong calls him Jungwoo ya, it sounds like a close person calling him that.
Jungwoo was trying to run away but Mrs. Kong came at him like a stampeding bull but he managed to stop her before she tried to attack him again.
Jungwoo thought that she was gonna attack him again by grabbing him by the collar but that wasn’t the case. She just tried to get the dust off of him and she called him sweetly, Jungwoo ya. Then she told him how she likes him but she always liked him and this threw off Jungwoo because this wasn’t what he was expecting from her.
Mrs. Kong said that she knows that he didn’t say anything because he didn’t want to put Haneul in a difficult position and that’s why she began to like him even more. And Haneul’s mother tapped his arm lightly and said that he is good enough to be her daughter’s boyfriend. I love Jungwoo’s facial expression because he genuinely looks so darn confused.
Mrs. Kong then looked at Jungwoo sweetly and asked him if the girl that was on his bed yesterday morning was her dear Haneul but Jungwoo said it wasn’t. I feel like Jungwoo is still like a kid sometimes. Jungwoo awkwardly said that it wasn’t Haneul but some other woman instead.
It seems like Mrs. Kong really wants Jungwoo as his son in law and it’s so cute whenever she is obvious about it although she has a different way of expressing it than Bongsoon’s mother in SWDBS.
Jungwoo got a phone call and he was hiding his phone and wasn’t gonna answer it but Mrs. Kong told him to answer it. It was Haneul, it was her that called him first, asking him if he made it into work alright.
Jungwoo was saying that he’s about to, then Haneul told him to be careful on his way to work. I loved the look on Mrs. Kong’s face though as if she knows everything and these two kids are in the palm of her hand.
Jungwoo was acting so weird though. He should express how happy he is that she called him first, he is such a dope. Haneul asked him if she could see him later and he said that’s okay and will call her back later for confirmation.
Haneul’s mom was saying that he got a call from his girlfriend and the phone number looks very familiar. I love Mrs. Kong’s facial expression as if she knows everything and these fools are in the palm of her hands hehehe…
Jungwoo was trying his best to convince Mrs. Kong that they really didn’t do anything like that. Jungwoo was puzzled because it seems like the mom doesn’t really care about what happened in the bedroom. Haneul’s mom put two and two together. She told Jungwoo that she could tell that they are together and Haneul is too shy to say anything about it but she wants both of them to be happy together.
Haneul’s mom thought that these two were being so silly for keeping this a secret. She was wondering how long this secret would last, dating on the down low. Haneul’s mom was gonna go back inside then she turned around suddenly so Jungwoo thought she was gonna do something to him again then she told him that it’s her birthday today. Of course Jungwoo congratulated her. These two already feel like mother in law and son in law the way they call each other. Mrs. Kong calls him Jungwoo ya, very sweetly while he calls her mother.
Haneul’s mother wanted Jungwoo to do her a favor since it’s her special day and all. Haneul’s mother was dressed up nicely and not just her but the whole family was dressed nicely because they were able to make it out to a nice restaurant after all.
Bada thinks that Mrs. Kong should be thankful to him for allowing all of them to be there at this nice place. Haneul just made the reservations and paid for the bill but he’s the one who influenced her decision to bring them over there.
Bada was wondering where his mom got the dress from but apparently she got it when their cousin got married. Bada was making fun of his mom saying that the dress is twenty years old and he mocked it by saying that it’s newer than he thought. Bada made it worse by saying that her dress looked like it’s from the 1800s and Mrs. Kong wanted to beat him 1800 times for saying that. If they were to go back to the 1800s Korea, it would be during the Joseon Dynasty and people did not dress like that in those days. Even in the west people didn’t wear the dress that Mrs. Kong is wearing.
Mrs. Kong thinks that she would understand if he was capable enough to buy her a pair of clothes instead of just running his mouth senselessly like that.
The hostess lady asked how she could help these guests and Bada said in the standard Seoul speech that they made reservations for three people. Haneul was wondering if he’s speaking in standard Seoul speech all of a sudden. Then Bada was telling his sister that whenever he is going on a date with a girl or when he is at a nicer place then he uses the standard Seoul speech. Bada is capable of speaking his native Busan dialect and the standard Seoul speech. I thought it was funny how he was bragging about it because Haneul could use both ways of speaking too.
The waitress came and served them and Bada was talking like some elegant Seoul guy or something. This dude is such a character. Bada was showing off his knowledge on fancy food items and asked the waitress lady to recommend a bottle of champagne since it’s a special day and all.
Mrs. Kong thought Bada was being so greasy and I do agree with her. I think he should just be himself and use his standard Busan speech. Bada was saying that his standard Seoul speech is liked by the girls in Busan too. Bada was saying that he talks in his native Busan dialect in front of Seoul girls and he uses standard Seoul speech when he’s around the girls in Busan.
Mrs. Kong was telling Bada that he is making unnecessary effort to get girls. The waitress lady was bringing plates and glasses and Haneul’s mother was telling the waitress that there is one more person coming so she would like her to bring an extra plate and extra glass. Bada seemed confused about this because he thought that it was gonna be just the three of them. Bada was wondering who this extra person is but Haneul assumed that it had to be their uncle.
Haneul thought the uncle will have to close up shop just to go to the fancy restaurant to celebrate Mrs. Kong’s birthday however it wasn’t their uncle. Haneul was surprised to see Jungwoo there. He came with a bundle of flowers too. He smiled and told Haneul that Mrs. Kong/ her mother invited him. Jungwoo said happy birthday to her and handed her the bouquet of flowers.
Bada was pissed for some reason and slammed the table with his fist saying that Jungwoo is the enemy to their family now then Bada said loudly that he was laying in bed with some other woman that’s not his dear sister. He shouldn’t be embarrassing her like that though, freaking Bada. I know he cares about his sister but him saying that so loud was kinda embarrassing.
And then Mrs. Kong told Bada that the girl that was on Jungwoo’s bed was his sister. I think Bada was already thinking of Jungwoo as his brother-in -law just like how Haneul’s mother thought of him as her son in law. This family really likes Jungwoo unlike his real family. I’m wondering if Jungwoo’s mother and father will ever appear, they seem so absent most of the time.
Jungwoo was trying to explain that he wasn’t the one who told her and he was about to go on trying to explain to Haneul but she just grabbed his hand and told her mother that they are dating. Haneul also referred to Jungwoo as her boyfriend. Awwww, how sweet!
Mrs. Kong seemed shocked how her daughter just grabbed his hand and made a courageous confession then she told her little brother not to mess with him anymore. Haneul then told her mother not to give Jungwoo a hard time anymore. Mrs. Kong looked so happy and proud of her daughter for her newly found love. Haneul won’t take it anymore if she gives him a hard time and also when they have good food they should share it with him too from now on. I’m so proud of Haneul for coming out like this!
Haneul asked her mother to give him a discount on the management fees and utilities too. However, Haneul’s mom told Haneul she doesn’t have to worry about the management fees and the utilities because he doesn’t have to pay rent from now on either. Man, it seems like Mrs. Kong really likes this guy and she really does think of him as a son in law already.
But Jungwoo felt bad so he insisted that he will still pay her the rent but Mrs. Kong said that she considers him part of the family now and it’s wrong to receive rent money from family members. Haneul’s mom considers Jungwoo a part of the family and they aren’t even married yet and also Bada called him brother in law and he asked him to take good care of his big sister.
Bada thought Haneul was bi polar but he realized that she was happy that day because of Jungwoo and not because of her bi polar disorder. Everyone had their hands on each other so Haneul was saying they are acting as if they are cheering on each other at the world cup.
Haneul dragged Jungwoo to the corner of the restaurant and asked him what just happened. And Jungwoo explained to her that she ran into her mother and she already knew about everything. But Jungwoo didn’t say anything till the end because he didn’t want to make things difficult for his dear Haneul. Unfortunately, he got a phone call from Haneul right at that time too. Then Haneul realized that Jungwoo’s voice was awkward because of that whole situation.
Haneul thought Jungwoo was still upset with her because of his voice although that wasn’t the case at all. Jungwoo thinks that there was nothing for him to be upset about since it’s his fault after all. Haneul was cutely asking why he didn’t even call her or text her if he was the one in the wrong.
Jungwoo told her that he wanted to message her or even call her hundreds of times but he remembered her saying that she likes to cool off on her own when she is upset. But Haneul clarified that only applies when she is mad about other things. However, when it comes to their relationship issues, she prefers that they take care of it asap.
Jungwoo couldn’t believe it. He realized that he wasted his time last night by trying to send her that well thought out message but he ended up not doing that. Jungwoo couldn’t sleep because he was so sad since he couldn’t talk to her. Haneul was surprised that he didn’t get any sleep but unlike him she goes to sleep when she is upset about something.
Jungwoo thought that Haneul has a good habit which is to go to sleep when she is upset. They both laugh together and are okay again. I love the way these two smile and laugh together, it’s so sweet.
Jungwoo officially apologized to his girlfriend. Jungwoo apologized for all the things that he might be sorry for in advance and Haneul was wondering how he would know what to be sorry about in advance.
Jungwoo smiled and told Haneul that they should get going since Mrs. Kong might be waiting for them to come back then she ran over behind him and gave him a sweet little back hug. Haneul thanked Jungwoo for coming to her mom’s little birthday party. Haneul looked so happy that she smiled while hugging him.
Jungwoo was worried that Haneul was gonna be upset for appearing so suddenly. They were both smiling and very content with the situation then suddenly Jungwoo turned around and tried explaining to Haneul about the situation on the bus saying that it was all a misunderstanding. He was telling her he practically fell into the chair because he lost balance while he was standing. Haneul said that she believes in him in a playful way while pretending that she is still mad at him.
Haneul didn’t know that being in a relationship could be this hard. She thinks that the feelings of disappointment, being apologetic, and appreciation are so much bigger than they used to be. Even the things that are not really a big deal feel so big like the universe to Haneul now.
The two finally made up. They held hands and headed over to their fable where Mrs. Kong and Bada were sitting at. They all said cheers and took a shot all at once. It looked like Bada and Haneul were struggling. However, Jungwoo and Haneul’s mother were able to drink their champagne all at once. Mrs. Kong shook her champagne glass after she did her little one shot but Haneul told her that she’s not supposed to do that. Jungwoo looked like he was in pain for a moment there because he went a little too hard with his drink.
Haneul was worried that he shouldn’t be drinking since he has to go back to work. Then Jungwoo told Haneul that she doesn’t have to worry since he got off early because he has no surgery today in that Our Blooming Youth Scholar Park/Crowned Prince Lee Hwan voice. Mrs. Kong thought he did well and complimented him that he is a well educated man indeed. Of course, Jungwoo thanked Mrs. Kong for complimenting him.
Mrs. Kong told them that they will drink till they die today and Jungwoo took the drink that his future mother in law poured for him. Haneul’s mom was filling up Jungwoo’s glass and Haneul was telling her she’s not really supposed to fill up champagne glasses like that but Dr. Yeo was okay with it.
Jungwoo told Haneul that she shouldn’t say anything because his mother in law wants to fill up his glass. Jungwoo is such an obedient man when it comes to Mrs. Kong. I love their relationship already. Like I said Jungwoo is like a son in law to Mrs. Kong and a brother in law to Bada. They already accepted him as part of the family. Of course Haneul is the nagging girlfriend and sometimes a guy like Jungwoo needs that discipline. Jungwoo told Mrs. Kong to fill up his glass and she did just that. Haneul told Jungwoo to take it easy with the drinks because he has to perform a surgery on someone in the morning.
Bada was surprised that Haneul knew Jungwoo’s schedule like nothing. Her brother was telling her how she is practically obsessed with her boyfriend but she defended herself by saying it’s because they work together so it can’t be helped. But Mrs. Kong didn’t know what she meant by working together.
Haneul confessed to her mother that she has been going into Jungwoo’s operating room to help him with the surgeries and Mrs. Kong looked shocked, shocked to the point that she dropped her steak knife. Haneul apologized to her mother and she told her that she’s not gonna stay there permanently. Haneul told her mom that it might be a good idea to help out Jungwoo because it’s better than staying home and doing nothing. Also.this could give her a chance to think about what she should be doing with her life too. Haneul made sure to let her mom know that this is just temporary.
Mrs. Kong looked like she’s about to cry so Jungwoo was wondering if she’s okay with all this and even Bada asked her what’s wrong. Honestly, I think there’s nothing to be sad about since she is working now even if it’s just temporary and like what Haneul said this could be an opportunity for her to think about what she should do with her life as she is working, it might be able to help her clear her head a little.
Bada thought that Mrs. Kong was disappointed because she ultimately wanted Haneul to go back and prepare to become a professor at a med school which was her ultimate dream. However, Mrs. Kong wasn’t disappointed but she was happy that her daughter got back up and started a new beginning. She thought that she had to start somewhere which is better than not going anywhere at all.
Mrs. Kong was happy that her daughter brought her over to this fancy restaurant and sat happily next to her boyfriend and even got herself a job even if it might be temporary. Haneul’s mom said in her Busan dialect that this is the best birthday she’s ever had and she feels splendid!
This of course made Haneul and Jungwoo both smile but especially Haneul really let out a genuine smile. Bada thinks that his mom should be laughing or at least smiling instead of crying on such a great day. Mrs. Kong was saying that they are gonna drink so much that they won’t be able to walk and if they don’t then they are being traitors. Jungwoo said Yes, Ma’am to Haneul’s mother, he is such a Yes man when it comes to Mrs. Kong but Haneul was like a traitor? You are being such a weird mother…
Haneul was worried that her mother was going overboard and she did. Mrs. Kong drank so much that Jungwoo had to literally drag her over to her bedroom. Haneul’s mom was so wasted that both Jungwoo and Haneul had put her on the bed together. There was a little piece of flower between one of Jungwoo’s ears and I thought that was kinda funny. And I think Haneul agreed with me because the moment I acknowledged the fact that the little piece of flower between Jungwoo’s ears was funny, Haneul almost immediately reacted to it although Jungwoo had no idea why his girlfriend was laughing like that.
Haneul took her boyfriend over to the mirror and showed it to him then said you have a flower between your ears and he was like huh? Hehehehe..
Jungwoo was smiling and wondering when Mrs. Kong put that flower between his ears. Jungwoo and Haneul were flirting in Mrs. Kong’s bedroom. Jungwoo was like where are you, Haneul? Then Haneul’s like, what the heck? She was saying this while slapping his arm flirtatiously. Jungwoo decided to put the flower between his girlfriend’s ears instead and Mrs. Kong started making noise which made them react. The happy couple decided to leave Mrs. Kong’s room and Jungwoo bowed to her on his way out like a well-mannered boy.
Meanwhile, we were brought over to Bin Daeyoung’s house. Daeyoung’s daughter Eunjung was eating macaroons and it seemed like she was really enjoying them. Daeyoung asked if she thinks they are delicious and the teen girl answered positively.
Eunjung was surprised that her father was being so hip and got her a box full of macaroons unlike his usual self. Daeyoung was trying to explain who bought the box full of macaroons. He was saying that his colleague, acquaintance bought it vaguely but he had a hard time coming up with the term to describe Hongran. Daeyoung decided to describe Hongran as a friend and his teen daughter was like what the heck. Daeyoung ultimately said it’s a friend of his that told him to give it to her as a gift.
Eungjung picked out a flavor that her dad might like. She picked out a chocolate flavored macaroon especially for her father. Daeyoung seemed to like it and now he and his daughter are able to communicate like a normal father and daughter.
Eunjung asked her father to buy something like this for her again and Daeyoung looked so happy that her daughter was content. Daeyoung was happy that her daughter was even smiling at him which really brightened up his day. Daeyoung texted Hongran and thanked her then told her that Eunjung really loves the macaroons that she bought for her.
Daeyoung was looking through the dirty laundry and discovered a white cloth with a little drop of blood on it and was shocked to see that. At first I thought it was just a piece of cloth but it was Eunjung’s underwear and she thought that her father was a pervert looking at it. Eunjung looked angry and yes she’s obviously starting puberty. Eunjung needs different kinds of support now.
At least Daeyoung is a very involved dad although a teen girl experiencing puberty wouldn’t welcome this kind of attention. Daeyoung was worried that there were kids at her school bullying her or something. This is why a female parent is important in this stage for a growing teen daughter because Mr. Bin looked so clueless about what was really going on with Eunjung.
Daeyoung thought that the girl got into a fight and Eunjung thought that was absurd because if someone beat her up there would be more blood than a little drop of blood instead. Eunjung had to come up with a less embarrassing way to cover it up so she said it was because of the wire that came out of her bra that made her bleed but of course it’s obvious that it was cus of her monthly girl thing….
Daeyoung seemed so clueless and I think this is when she needs a female parent to step in. I’m not knocking down single parents but both Daeyoung and Hongran are good examples of children needing both a mother and a father.
Daeyoung was upset because Eunjung didn’t tell him this but she said that she didn’t tell him because she felt embarrassed about it. I really think Jinwoo needs a father like Daeyoung that would catch ants/insects for him and Eunjung needs a mother like Hongran that would go out and buy female products for her.
Eunjung was upset that she stormed out of the laundry room and Daeyoung went to the convenience store, sat on one of the seats and had a can of beer while looking up information about a bra for middle school girls.
Daeyoung and Hongran ran into each other at the local convenience store again and Hongran caught him looking up info about bras for middle school girls.
Daeyoung was trying to explain to Hongran that it’s not for him and Hongran was like of course it’s not for you, Mr. Bin….And as Hongran was about to head out of the store Daeyoung explained to her that he was looking up info about bras for middle school girls for his daughter Eunjung. Then Hongran told Daeyoung that when you wear a bra for too long the wire starts coming out. However, Daeyoung was wondering why Eunjung didn’t tell him all that and Hongran was saying it’s because she is going through a stage of puberty. Girls her age are so sensitive that she won’t be able to share something so personal like that with their fathers.
Hongran thought that it might be a good idea for him to just give her his atm card to go buy herself a bra and Daeyoung said that’s no use because she wouldn’t even read any of his Kakao talk messages.
Daeyoung came out to stop by a lingerie shop nearby the clinic but he seemed to be having a difficult time going there because he didn’t know what to get for her. I guess it goes to show that it’s hard for fathers to shop for teen girls. When girls are like toddlers fathers could just adore them without any trouble but once they are going towards womanhood, teen girls going through puberty must need the support of a female parent.
Hongran offered to go to the lingerie store with Daeyoung to help him out. Hongran was already a mother to a growing teen girl hehehe, thanks to Mr. Bin. Hongran asked the woman that works there at the shop if the pair of matching underwear set was made out of cotton and if it absorbs sweat very well. And the lady was telling Hongran that the one she is holding is good for students because there’s no wiring to make things unnecessarily difficult. Hongran asked the sales lady to bring her three sets in skin/peach color and also underpants that Eunjung could wear under her uniform.
The sales lady complimented Daeyoung and Hongran saying that they are sweet parents coming together as a couple to buy their daughter’s underwear which is very uncommon nowadays. The sales lady thought Hongran was Daeyoung’s wife and said that she could even recommend a nice set of underwear for her too but she had to clarify to the woman that she is not his wife. But it’s funny because they really do look like a married couple. Both couples number one and two in this show look like married couples to me. Daeyoung agreed and clarified their relationship while stuttering too.
Hongran only made him buy a few just in case and if she likes it they could buy more for her. Daeyoung seemed very appreciative of her helping him like this. Hongran was saying that when it comes to sensitive issues he should be natural about it because if he is awkward then it would make it hard for his daughter to tell him anything out of embarrassment.
At first I thought Hongran just picked out the underwear and Daeyoung made the purchase but that wasn’t the case. Hongran even made the purchase of those items and on top of that she even gave him some good advice which Daeyoung thanked her tremendously. Hongran felt like it wasn’t a big deal cus Daeyoung helped her before too when it came to Jinwoo.
Hongran and Daeyoung were waving goodbye to each other but unfortunately Daeyoung dropped the underwear on the ground so she had to come back and help him pick them up. As Hongran and Daeyoung were picking up the underwear from the ground together, they were laughing and smiling like two people that are in love, I thought it was so sweet. I think that they are gonna get together soon as well.
Jungwoo and Haneul were back at the rooftop apartment. They were both drinking a warm drink together while watching the beautiful night sky of Seoul. Both Jungwoo and Haneul were wearing matching outfits, they are both wearing black. Haneul was telling Jungwoo that she is so embarrassed about the way her mother behaved today. But Jungwoo didn’t seem to mind, he was completely okay with the way her mother acted earlier.
Jungwoo was telling Haneul that he is quite envious of her family and he could tell that she received a lot of love growing up and even now. This is like Hyungsik’s real life, he grew up in such a loving household that you could tell that he received a lot of love from his family growing up and all throughout his life. Jungwoo as a character is so similar to the real Hyungsik but there are a few things that are different like the unloving family of Jungwoo and Jungwoo being a good student academically.
But Jungwoo also realized that they loved her so much that there was a huge expectation of her which probably gave her a hard time too. However, Jungwoo confessed that there were a lot of times that he was envious of her because of the way Haneul’s family cared for her like that. Jungwoo poured out his feelings to Haneul while being sober that his family is quite the opposite of Haneul’s family.
Jungwoo was curious as to why Haneul never really asked about his family and his upbringing. Jungwoo’s parents never came around to see if he was doing okay while he was on trial, and Jungwoo never openly talked about his family to her. So to most people that would be weird and they would start asking about it but Haneul didn’t which still surprises him a little bit.
Then Haneul confessed that she did see Jungwoo’s mother once back in their senior year of high school in front of the nurse’s office. Haneul witnessed how his mother was very uncaring despite the fact that Jungwoo passed out. Jungwoo’s mom told the teacher that it’s no big deal and it’s common for students to pass out when they are studying too hard and they shouldn’t make her constantly come to the school to look after him.
Jungwoo’s mother was complaining that he wasn’t getting the number on spot. Obviously, he lost his number one spot to Haneul. His mother was saying that his life won’t mean much since he can’t get the number one spot even as a highschool student. She was acting as if his whole life was over just because he couldn’t get the number one spot in his whole high school and unfortunately, Haneul witnessed this.
Then Jungwoo realized that Haneul knows about his family after witnessing that incident back in high school. Jungwoo was thinking that Haneul was shocked to witness that but she was more worried that he could’ve been lonely more than anything. Jungwoo and Haneul were walking hand in hand at a local park. My goodness, these two look so romantic together. As they were walking hand in hand Jungwoo was telling Haneul more about his parents.
Both of Jungwoo’s parents are CS which are Cardiothoracic Surgeons and his father is a med school professor in the US.
Jungwoo’s parents became the first Asian Chairman for the heart association too and his mother is a researcher in the same university.
Haneul couldn’t help but to be in awe with the kind of people his parents are. Jungwoo’s parents are so great that they expected him to grow up to be the same kind of person too.
Jungwoo’s parents opposed his idea of wanting to be a plastic surgeon. Jungwoo’s parents were so against him going a different direction because both of his parents wanted him to be part of the support team with the research of their department which is something related to the heart. Jungwoo’s parents were upset because they set up a road for him to take but he wanted to go a different direction.
Jungwoo’s parents weren’t understanding about his path in life and Haneul was curious to how he convinced/persuaded his parents about his career path. He was never able to convince them so that’s why he is still living without his parents support and understanding.
Jungwoo felt bad that he couldn’t fulfill his complete filial duty. He used to live the way that his parents wanted him to live in the past and maybe if continued to live that way then things could have been okay for him then his parents might have been more satisfied with his life.
When Jungwoo went through that one big incident in his life, his parents at least called him so he thought that maybe they were worried about him after all. Obviously, he wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but Jungwoo couldn’t believe that they called him to get his act together so it won’t affect their personal careers. Obviously, the parents were more worried about their success than their child’s well-being. After hearing that from his parents while he was going through the most devastating time of his life, his guilt about not being able to fulfill their wants disappeared almost immediately. Jungwoo thinks that his parents would never understand for the rest of his life and they’ll be living like strangers.
Haneul realized that Jungwoo must have lived a lonely life and he admitted to the fact that he did indeed live a lonely life. However, Jungwoo is glad that he was able to go through with it pretty fast.
Jungwoo knows that no matter how hard people work at something, there are some things that they are not able to achieve and he thought that was a parental love of some kind. Jungwoo thought that maybe he might not have the parental love but he has a whole lot in other areas so he should be grateful for those things instead. And that helped him stay focused and work hard to achieve his goals. By thinking that way, he was able to endure some of the hardships and loneliness he was going through.
Haneul was curious if Jungwoo had other people that he was able to pour out his heart to besides herself and turned out to be that he opened up to Kyungmin before he was able to do this with Haneul.
Jungwoo met Kyungmin during his senior year in high school and he was like a big brother that he never had, at least back then. The two were like brothers at one point but of course they are not anymore unfortunately.
Haneul felt bad that his relationship with Kyungmin turned sour because of him but to Jungwoo it didn’t matter since he turned out to be a bad person by committing such a crime to Haneul like that.
Jungwoo was thinking at one point before what happened that Kyungmin might not be such a good person after all. Jungwoo mentioned that Kyungmin behaved strangely from time to time.
Kyungmin meets up with Professor Kim. Professor Kim corrected himself and addressed Kyungmin as Director Min, instead of Professor Min instead. Professor Kim liked the view of Kyungmin’s office and it looked so nice that he had to make a comment about it.
Professor Kim couldn’t understand Kyungmin when he said that he was gonna quit as soon as he became one. However, now he understands why Kyungmin quit his professor position since the director position looked so much more attractive in his eyes. Professor Kim told Kyungmin that he would quit too if an opportunity like this came to him.
Kyungmin was saying that Professor Kim shouldn’t quit because that place needs Kim to run it, otherwise it won’t be able to operate properly. However, in my opinion that hospital would be far better with the likes of Kyungmin, and Prof. Kim.
Prof. Kim thinks that his hospital might have to find a different distributor for their medicines because he thinks that his hospital is spending far too much money on medicine alone. Prof. Kim wants to give this opportunity to people that are worth it because he feels like the current people don’t really deserve it.
Kyungmin asked Prof. Kim if he could be the one to receive that opportunity since he is so convinced that he would return the favor unlike other people. Kyungmin and Kim decided to talk to each other about the prospects in more thorough detail soon. It seems like Kyungmin and Prof. Kim think alike. I guess people attract like minded people to each other. Kyungmin and Prof. Kim decided to make a deal with each other. It’s basically like, I scratch your back and you scratch mine kind of a deal.
Haneul went to visit her doctor/psychiatrist again and he was telling her that she looks a lot better and asked her opinion about it. Haneul told her doctor that she was trying to make an effort to forget about all her hardships and live a good life. And in the process she realized that she has a lot of people that support her too. Also, she started working again recently and she felt like she is an important person contributing to society to some degree.
Haneul’s doctor told her that must have gotten her self esteem back. Self esteem is like stacking up little pebbles day by day. But unfortunately, it will collapse the moment you start asking questions and doubting it.
The doctor also told her that if she believes in herself and builds up the pebbles little by little then one day that would end up being a stable house to live in then finally it will be a strong castle that nobody would be able to destroy. The doctor thinks that she is mentally healthy enough for them to lower the dosage for her meds. And of course, Haneul happily agreed to that.
Haneul was becoming stronger than ever before and she was working as Jungwoo’s assistant in the surgery room. Haneul was proud that Jungwoo was starting to overcome his trauma bit by bit and enduring it day by day.
Haneul and Jungwoo were taking a short break and they met up on the stairways of the clinic. Jungwoo was leaning against the wall and asking Haneul to go out for a night out with him at the bar and have a glass of whiskey with him in the sexiest voice ever. Not only was his voice sexy but even his facial expression looked so sexy. I felt so tempted to jump on him if you know what I mean…ARGH!
Haneul was most definitely okay with going on a whiskey date with him at night after work but she was curious to why she called her over to the stairways to ask her on a evening whiskey date instead of asking her in the office.
Jungwoo was telling Haneul that a lot of work colleagues that date came down to the emergency staircase to meet up with each other so he wanted to try it too. Jungwoo is such a dope, and I think Hyungsik is kinda like this too in real life or I want to assume that he is.
Jungwoo grabbed Haneul’s both hands and told her that he wanted to try this too while smiling so big like a geek. Then Haneul was hitting Jungwoo cutely with much aegyo. I love the way these two flirt, it’s so cute whenever they show their cute little aegyo charms to each other. But they heard footsteps so Jungwoo looked down and realized that it was Nurse. Do talking on the phone with someone. Jungwoo grabbed Haneul’s hand and ran for it cus they didn’t want to be caught red handed by Nurse. Do since they are supposed to keep their relationship a secret for now.
Haneul wanted to believe that they have nothing but good things in their life. The two got off work and they were heading somewhere while holding hands. I really love this couple because it seems so natural despite the fact that Park Shinhye is a married woman with a kid. Park Shinhye is famous for being the rom-com queen of Korea and Park Hyungsik is famous for being the chemistry maker of Korea so it’s perfect that these two finally got to interact for once.
Haneul and Jungwoo made a small wish that things will go well for them. Although it was just a small wish, it felt so big to them. The two were finally at a nice bar and drinking whiskey together. It looked like Jungwoo was enjoying it alot. Jungwoo/Hyungsik looks so cute smiling after some good booze went inside his tummy. Haneul was enjoying a glass of whiskey a lot because she’s just so used to drinking nothing but soju and beer. Jungwoo was worried that it might be too strong for her but Haneul was enjoying it a lot so he didn’t have to worry about that.
Jungwoo and Haneul were just laughing and enjoying themselves. They look so happy together but I wonder what else they’ll be going through until the show ends…..Then all of a sudden Haneul brought up Kyungmin. She was still curious about how Kyungmin was acting weird from time to time in the past…..
Jungwoo thinks that Kyungmin put drugs into his drink in the past and Haneul was so shocked to hear that. When Jungwoo first got into med school, Kyungmin bought him a bottle of booze for the first time but he ended up going to the ER that night.
Jungwoo looked like he was so drunk, but Kyungmin didn’t look as drunk as the younger boy. It was blurry and Jungwoo was not sober but he was able to see Kyungmin doing something weird. Jungwoo was able to see what Kyungmin was doing while it looked kinda blurry. Jungwoo ended up in the ER and the doctors were checking him out. It looked like it was his mother and her assistant that were checking him out. The assistant told the lady doctor who looked like Jungwoo’s mother told her that according to the blood tests, the alcohol level was fairly high and it also looked like there were drugs mixed in with the booze too.
And the assistant told the lady who looked like Jungwoo’s mother that he discovered some ingredients called Zolpidem and the lady looked shocked about it. She thought that he took sleeping pills or rather she assumed that was the case because he told her that he had insomnia. She was concerned about what he told her and automatically assumed that he took sleeping pills while heavily drinking too on top of that. Haneul was wondering why he covered it all up without letting anybody know about that.
Jungwoo wasn’t quite sure if it indeed happened for real or just a dream he had. Jungwoo had some doubts about what he saw so that’s why he didn’t tell anybody about it and he also felt that it didn’t make any sense objectively speaking. Jungwoo thought that it didn’t make sense because if Kyungmin really wanted to harm him he could’ve used something more dangerous than that. But Haneul retorted that it would be dangerous to take such drugs with a combination of alcohol. Zolpeidem mixed with alcohol would affect his body so much that he could’ve done something dangerous.
Jungwoo was wondering what Kyungmin could get out of doing something like that to him. Jungwoo had a hard time understanding Kyungmin’s mind and behavior. Then Haneul asked Kyungmin after that incident and Jungwoo told her that Kyungmin was like his usual self even after that incident. Haneul and Jungwoo were having a nice whiskey date but it turned into something serious because Haneul brought up something about Kyungmin, that punk. Kyungmin was friendly as usual and was always there for him like a big brother even after that incident. And perhaps Jungwoo completely forgot about it because something like that never happened again after that particular incident.
Jungwoo wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt even if there’s a small chance that he wanted to harm him. Haneul thought that was the case mainly because Jungwoo was dependent on Kyungmin since he needed that support since his parents weren’t really around to do that for him. Jungwoo begged to differ because it was a way to protect himself in a way. Jungwoo thought that if it were to be true he would be in such an unfortunate state in his life.
Jungwoo forgot all about it but he was thinking that what he saw could be the actual truth after witnessing what he did to his dear Haneul. After hearing that from Jungwoo, Haneul looked distressed and Jungwoo couldn’t help but to let out a sigh after digging up his old past that he completely forgot about.
Kyungmin was in his office talking to someone important, assuming that it’s his future father in law. He was talking about meeting him in the field, so I assume it’s about golf and he was telling this person that he decided to buy her art work at the art exhibit that she’s opening. Kyungmin was complimenting her art work and he set up a meeting with this gentleman that he was on the phone with.
Somebody was knocking on the door and it was that guy Kang who gave Jungwoo the USB. He came over to receive something from Kyungmin. Apparently, Kyungmin owes him something, whatever that’s supposed to be.
Haneul dropped her whiskey glass on the ground and Jungwoo asked if she was alright. I feel bad about this. I feel like something bad is gonna happen in Episode 12. The episode ended with Haneul hoping that they are not being delusional and that everything is going well for them.
The preview started out with Jungwoo and Haneul in their summer high school uniforms. OMG! They both look so good in their high school uniform but our dear Shikkie especially looks so darn good in his high school uniform! ARGH! It looked like they were on the bus going on a trip somewhere and Jungwoo was saying that it reminds them of the good ol days.
Jungwoo and Haneul were dressed like high schoolers. Jungwoo was chasing after Haneul as he was telling her to stop. Jungwoo, Bada and Uncle were drinking some Korean rice wine/Makgeolli. Jungwoo and Haneul were taking a trip together. I wonder if it’s just them or the whole family. But anyways, Jungwoo was telling Haneul that he doesn’t want this peaceful time to ever end.
Kyungmin looked pissed off about something and he threw his whiskey glass against the wall and Haneul is suspicious that Kyungmin was part of Jungwoo’s incident that happened not too long ago. Haneul met up with Kyungmin to ask some questions and he angrily looked at her and she wanted to know a little too much as he was driving them somewhere secluded? I want to assume.
Kyungmin looked like he crashed into something. I wonder if there’s gonna be an accident in the next episode. I feel bad about episode12, I swear.
Haneul was wondering if she is being greedy for wanting to live without worry while enjoying the beautiful night air and the episode fully ends with Jungwoo’s close up face looking super concerned.
