My thoughts on Episode two of Dr. Slump…..(SPOILER ALERT)…If you haven’t watched EP 2 please do not read on…..

·

Initially, I wasn’t gonna ship Jungwoo and Haneul but I can’t help but to ship them after this hugging scene……..

Shikkie’s character Jungwoo is so funny, I laughed through out most of Episode 2. Jungwoo and Haneul are able to both relate since they had incidents that completely changed their lives from hopeful I can do anything to despair. I love how they treated each other like the good ol rivals they used to be back in high school but once they found out about what the other person is really going through both Jungwoo and Haneul were becoming closer……..

I felt bad for Haneul because nobody knew about her condition and her direct boss, Mr. Kim annoyed the heck out of me. He had no respect for Hanuel whatsoever and he only cared about his success It wasn’t just that, he was yelling at her, making her take responsibilities for his mistakes, and he also seemed to have some violent streaks too. I could see why someone might feel a burnout working with people like that.

With Jungwoo, I feel like somebody framed him. We briefly saw someone that could possibly be the real culprit but the show didn’t get into the details of this person so we won’t find out about it till future episodes.

I love Yeo Jungwoo’s hairstyle, fashion, his playful personality and everything about him. Jungwoo’s hair is a combination between Cha Dalbong and Yoo Changsoo. His fashion at the beginning when he was living the good life it kind of reminded me of Changsoo and Minmin. However, after he moved into the rooftop apartment because of that one mysterious incident he started wearing more casual clothes which made me think of Dalbong, Seonwoo, and Yihyun put together.

Yeo Jungwoo’s personality is very playful, he is competitive, generous, sweet, kind, easily trusting, smart, funny and he has a short fuse in my opinion. So his personality is a mixture of Cha Dalbong, Yoo Changsoo, Ahn Minhyuk, and Park Hyungsik himself…..

Jungwoo and Haneul are playful in a competitive kind of way. It’s a mixture between Dalwool, Minbong, Seoneun, and Sehyun couple……

That image of Jungwoo and Haneul hugging each other was a very touching moment for me because they both are going through so much, they are going through things that people won’t really relate to nor understand. However, they are both at a crossroads in life even if they thought they conquered the world most of their life but what they are going through has brought humility and also comfort in each other’s company.

Sure, they were rivals back in high school but they let all that go and comforted each other. They are going through a different kind of slump in their life but they are going through it at the same time so they feel bad for what the other person is going through and lend a shoulder to cry on….

P.S: Jungwoo did not get his turn because of Haneul’s heartwarming text message from her mother…Haneul flicks his forehead really hard, I thought that was so cute! Kind of reminded me of Seowool couple….

Oh, I forgot to mention Yoon Park’s character. He seems so different here compared to What Happens to my family. It’s funny cus Dalbong’s older brother Cha Kangje’s a doctor in What Happens to my family and he is a doctor in this show as well. However, their personalities are a bit different. In What happens to my family he was mostly stiff, workaholic, obsessed climbing up the corporate ladder but he wasn’t funny though. In Dr. Slump he he seems to be into success just like Cha Kangje but this character seems more relaxed about it and also he is a bit goofy unlike his character in WHTMF……

ALSO….I ENVY PARK SHINHYE…I CAN ONLY DREAM OF HYUNGSIK GIVING ME SUCH A HUG…….*CRIES* OH WELL, IN THIS LIFE IT’S NEVER GONNA HAPPEN BUT IN MY DREAM WORLD…HEHEHEHE….

  1. I think you can relate with the characters and their issues.
Sometimes in adversity you know who are truly part of your emotional support ecosystem. Jungwoo’s mom seems to be more concerned about her husband’s promotion than her son’s emotional state. One of his friends also blames him for his debts, because he obviously only idolized Jungwoo while he could profit from him.
