IN ARGENTINA

Seojoon woke up and found Brina gone. She was lying next to him several hours ago but now she wasn’t there anymore.

Brina was already on the plane, heading to Korea. Seojoon looked around and realized that Brina was out. She packed up her bags and left the hotel they were staying at for a while.

“What? Where the heck did she go?”

Then he found a little receipt for the plane ticket that Brina accidentally left behind….

“What? Korea? Did she go to Korea? Oh crap!…I better…”

Seojoon was in a rush to book a ticket to Korea right away. There was no reason for him to stay here. The only reason why he came here was for Brina but she is gone now so there was no point in him staying here.

Seojoon managed to book a flight to Seoul, South Korea. He was lucky enough to find the one that he could take as soon as he got there at the airport in Buenos Aires.

Jen had such a hectic first day as a scriptwriter for such a big show. Jen was at home, sitting in front of her computer trying to write while Shikkie was sleeping on the bed.

Jen replayed everything in her mind that happened today. Meeting Hyojoo, meeting the director, being introduced to people, talking to the staff and crew at the orientation room. 

Jen was wondering if she is doing the right thing, or if she is cut out for something like this. She almost regretted the decision to be a part of this. Maybe she was thinking that she was better off being a novelist instead because she wouldn’t have to meet a crazy deadline, work with her boyfriend, and deal with insecurities because of people that are super gorgeous to look at.

Shikkie was wondering why Jen wasn’t going to sleep yet. He was feeling lonely because it was just him in bed.

“Aren’t you coming to bed?” He asked sheepishly…

“No..I’m not sleepy…” said Jen in a slightly frustrated tone.

“If you have any concerns you should share them with me instead of sighing in front of your computer like that….”

“No it’s okay … .I have to write this by the end of the week…I have a deadline…you wouldn’t know cus you are just an actor…” Jen said in a frustrated tone of voice.

“Come here babe….”

Jen was being stubborn. She had a lot on her plate. She didn’t know how she should write out the story. How in the heck is she gonna make her man into a Korean Deadpool? I mean, is that even possible?

Hyungsik really loves Marvel films and Deadpool is one of his favorites.

And this is why her writing for Comedy Superhero is very challenging as someone that’s barely getting her feet wet in this particular industry.

Jen was being stubborn and just sat in front of the computer just writing while scratching her head……..

He came over to where Jen was sitting and wrapped his arms around her. He didn’t like seeing her frustrated like this.

“Hey babe, do you want to go out for a walk?”

“Now?”

“Yeah, babe…..You need some fresh air…”

Jen decided to agree and they both went out for a walk. Hyungsik held her hand and just walked while still staying silent for a while, then suddenly Shikkie opened his mouth and started to talk.

“So, what did you think about meeting everyone today?”

“Well…it was nice…Hyojoo unnie seemed cool, the director guy seemed really nice but…I don’t know if I am really cut out for this … .I almost regret it…”

“Why? I think you’ll pull through, babe..”

He gave her a nice peck on her forehead and she loved those innocent light pecks he would give her on the forehead.

Jen was thankful for her boyfriend being so sweet and supportive but then she just didn’t feel convinced right now. 

Jen was on the swing, riding it like a little girl, she missed the simpler days of childhood when she was a little girl. Shikkie saw that she was deep in thought while riding the swing so he decided to get onto the one right next to her. 

It was pretty awkward cus both of them were pretty quiet but Shikkie decided to quietly just grab her hands and hold them tight without any words. He wanted her to feel that he loves her without words. However, Jen was too into her own world that she wasn’t thinking straight.

The two love birds managed to go back to the apartment. Everyone was back already but sleeping and Seojoon was planning to catch up with Brina and Brina was on her way to Korea.

It was the next day and Jen was at work with her boyfriend. The director was talking about what Shikkie and Hyojoo should do as characters. Jen started her writing process for the show and she’s been going through writer’s block but she managed to write some material worth about 2 episodes. 

Brina was already in Korea and she decided to message Jen although she was at work. She turned off her phone because she was at a meeting with the cast and crew. Brina was getting anxious because Jen wasn’t returning her calls and text messages

“Come on girl….answer….”

Brina was at the airport, she already got her luggage and everything but she really doesn’t know where to stay while she’s out here.

Finally, the meeting was over and Jen turned her phone back on and she realized that she had tons of missed calls and texts then Hyungsik came up to Jen and asked….

“What is that? Why are you looking at your phone so seriously? 

“Oh…it’s nothing…”

Then Jen managed to weasel her way out of the situation and she had to because Brina didn’t want anybody to know that she’s in Korea. Also, nobody knew that he was on his way back either due to sudden changes thanks to Brina. 

Jen listened to the voicemails that Brina sent her.

“Hey girl, I am in Korea now…..I am at the Incheon International Airport…can we meet somewhere? I’m planning on taking an uber but don’t know where to…where should we meet? It should be far away from your apartment and far away from your work…I don’t want anybody to know that I’m back in Korea…..call me or message me back when you get this…Love ya, Ciao!”

Jen texted Brina back and she was letting her know that they could meet at a coffee shop she goes to from time to time which happens to be far away from the apartment and the job.

Brina got the message and the two girls are planning to meet up once Jen is done with her work.

Hyojoo came up to Jen to greet her cus she is such a nice person.

“Hi, Jen.”

“Oh, Hi Hyojoo unnie!”

Hyungsik was talking with the director and giving him his input on what he wants this show to be. Comedy Superhero is special to him because his girl is the one writing it and also he always wanted to play a funny superhero character like Deadpool.

“How’s the writing going for you?” Hyojoo asked sincerely but sweetly. 

Jen was confused. She always knew that Han Hyojoo is a great actress and a nice woman but it felt weird because she gets to work with someone so famous and hot. Jen couldn’t help but to feel starstruck. Is this what it’s like working with the rich and the famous? Jen was feeling nauseous then her man came and smiled because the two ladies were getting acquainted with one another.

“I see that you are getting acquainted, that’s great!”

Hyungsik was a very sweet, friendly and playful guy. Jen kinda envied him, she wished that she had the confidence he has. Jen decided to be the best that she could be while she is doing this. If this project succeeds she will have many opportunities to come later. 

“I think your girlfriend is great!” Hyojoo complimented Jen but why was she feeling uneasy? Shikkie had his arm around Hyojoo and so did she. It was just a friendly gesture but why was Jen feeling so uneasy?

The director of the show wanted Jen to write more materials so they could have more to work with. Jen was feeling a lot of pressure. This was the difference between writing a novel and working for a tv show, the deadline is much more stressful.

Jen felt like Hyungsik didn’t care about the way she was feeling right now. The director said everybody was good to go for today so she stormed out as fast as she could to go meet with Brina.

Jen finally got to the coffee shop where she was supposed to meet with Brina while Hyungsik was looking for his girlfriend.

Hyungsik didn’t realize that Jen snuck out of the building like a ninja, Jen was quick when she wanted to be and Hyojoo was helping him look for her.

Brina waved at Jen. Despite all the stuff Brina was going through back home in Argentina, she still looked really healthy and Jen was happy to see her friend looking good like always.

“Over here Jen!”

“Oh my gosh, Brina! Qué pasa, ¿Cómo estás?”

“ Estoy Bien….” said Brina in Spanish.

Jen was trying to practice Spanish with her friend Brina.

“What’s going on with you Jen?” Brina asked.

“Nothing much really…just writing for Comedy Superhero…..It feels so weird working with someone I love…” Jen said while sighing.

“I bet…..”

“So….why are you back in Korea, Brina?”

“Well….a long story…..”

“Did you leave Seojoon in Argentina?”

“Yeah…..”

“What happened? Why did you just leave him there? How is he supposed to survive?”

“He is a grown man, he could take care of himself…..”

Then Brina suddenly changed the subject to Jen and Hyungsik.

“So how are you and you know…who….?”

“Us? We are doing good but……I’ve been rather stressed and not myself lately…”

“Oh my gosh…why, girl? How’s your relationship with him?”

Brina really wanted Jen and Hyungsik to have a nice relationship, after all she sacrificed her own feelings for him so her friend could be with him since she was in love with him too at one point.

“We are doing good, and he is really good to me but I’ve been stressed with work….the deadline is crazier than when I was just writing novels … .and also working with someone close is another stress…I didn’t think that working with someone close could be this stressful….”

“Wow….I am sorry to hear that….”

“So, you are not dating him?”

“Who? Seojoon? No…..I am not sure if I could be in a committed relationship, I don’t think I am ready…Seojoon is a good guy but I don’t know if I’m even good enough for him…..I don’t feel like  I deserve anyone…”

Jen didn’t realize that Brina was going through some emotional stuff. They’ve been friends for awhile but she didn’t know that she had this deep seethed emotional stuff that she wasn’t aware of. She wasn’t saying it but Jen was able to kinda read into it.

“Oh…so…..where is Seojoon oppa now?”

“He is back in Argentina….He is a grown man, I am sure he’ll find his way back knowing that I’m not there.”

“Oh..wow….”

“So tell me more about your job being a screenwriter for this big show that you are a part of…”

“It’s so crazy! I got to meet Han Hyojoo! She is awesome! And she is so pretty…..”

Jen and Brina were catching up since they haven’t seen each other in awhile. Seojoon was on his way over to Korea since Brina isn’t there anymore back in Argentina. However, Hyungsik was looking for Jen and Hyojoo was helping him look for her. Hyojoo really treated him like a brother so she didn’t mind helping him look for her.
