JOONGI, YOONHA, JIYI AND WOOMIN POV AFTER JEN AND CHANGSOO LEFT THE CLUB

After Jen and Changsoo left. It was just the four of them. Joongi, Yoonha, Jiyi and Woomin.

They were still sitting on the nice cushioned seat, drinking their whiskey that Changsoo ordered for them earlier. It felt kinda quiet without those two.

“Should we leave too?” Joongi asked.

“I think that’s a good idea…” said Jiyi.

Jiyi and Woomin looked at Yoonha and she nodded as if she agreed with Joongi’s initial thought about leaving the club.

“Should we go to a coffee shop?” Jiyi suggested.

“Yeah…that would be great … .a nice warm coffee sounds nice..” Said Woomin.

“Is there a coffee shop that is still open?” asked Yoonha.

“I actually know of one…there is this one that opens till midnight…” said Jiyi.

“Okay, let’s go…” Everyone said in unison.

Jiyi wanted to get to know Woomin better and Yoonha wanted to get to know Joongi better.

The four managed to find the coffee shop that Jiyi was talking about.

“I will go get the drinks,” said Joongi.

“What would you guys like?” Joongi asked.

“Mocha Latte!” Jiyi and Woomin both said in unison.

“I will just go with drip coffee,” said Yoonha.

It was strange how Jiyi and Woomin liked the same kind of coffee while Joongi and Yoonha liked the same kind of coffee too.

As the four gathered together and were sipping on their coffee Yoonha opened her mouth.

“Jen and Changsoo…they are such an item right? I never would’ve imagined Changsoo falling in love like that…” Yoonha said in disbelief.

“Do you still like him?” Joongi asked her playfully.

“No…I am all over him … .his past would come and haunt me … .it’s all because of my dad who lived his whole life as a playboy, so I have a hard time trusting guys like Changsoo…..”

Joongi was happy to hear this because now he doesn’t have a rival. Joongi felt like Changsoo was way better than him. Changsoo was rich, much more handsome, he was even business savvy although people don’t really give him credit for that.

Yoonha and Joongi didn’t have to say much, they just had this trust towards each other which didn’t need words. However, Jiyi and Woomin were just chatting about all kinds of stuff. Jiyi was playful and Woomin liked that because he is a shy guy so he needs a woman that could push him a little.

At the club they didn’t do much except for drinking and watching Changsoo and Jen making out. They are kinda glad that Jen and Changsoo are gone so they could really get to know each other.

Joongi was curious about something. Yoonha met Joongi’s mother not too long ago and this is one of the main elements that made her have a change of heart so she was curious about her encounter with his mother.

“Yoonha, you met my mom right?”

“Yeah….she was really nice….”

“What do you like about her?”

“You know….I always wanted a normal family…..My father was a playboy all his life, he never cared for my mother, and one of his mistresses lives with us and she makes my mother cry all the time…Because of this my mom treats me bad and my sisters all look down on me..,,,Normal people would think that rich people have it all…but even rich people have family problems……”

Yoonha began to cry. She has been holding onto this for a long time because she had nobody that could help her come to terms with this and release it.

Joongi didn’t realize that Yoonha had such a painful life . He felt bad because he used to complain about his life all the time. Joongi’s family wasn’t poor, they were just average but he always compared his life to Changsoo and he was even jealous of him, he always wished that he was born into a wealthy family. However, unlike Yoonha, Joongi’s family is happy and harmonious.

As Joongi and Yoonha were talking about their families while sipping on their coffees, Jiyi and Woomin were flirting with each other, they weren’t just flirting but just talking about this and that while whispering to each other.

Woomin just came back from Canada recently after studying abroad for so long ever since his parents divorce. Woomin wasn’t planning to date anybody. He was gonna just focus on his professional life but after meeting Jiyi he thought maybe he could have some fun too while being a working stiff.

“How long have you been friends with Changsoo?” Joongi asked Woomin.

“Since elementary school…what about you Joongi?” Woomin asked.

“Oh…High School….”

“I have known Changsoo since elementary school too….” Yoonha decided to volunteer the info about her childhood.

“Oh really?” Woomin asked, a little surprised.

“Maybe we might have seen each other….” Yoonha said while smiling.

“No wonder you look familiar….” Woomin said, a little puzzled.

“I wonder why I never met you…” Yoonha said, kinda confused.

“Maybe, because we had different homeroom classes or something…” Woomin suggested.

Joongi wanted to take Yoonha for a walk at the park before he drove her home. Joongi offered to drive Jiyi and Woomin and drop them off wherever.

“I want to go for a walk….” Joongi said.

“Should we go to the Han River and walk along the side walks there?” Asked Yoonha.

“Sure…That sounds great…” Joongi said.

“Do you want to go over to my place?” Jiyi asked Woomin.

“Your place? Isn’t it too late for that?” Woomin was a little flustered.

“Don’t worry Woomin, I won’t do anything to you geesh…” Jiyi said with a frustrated giggle while everyone else was laughing.

Yoonha never laughed like this in her entire life. This is the kind of simple life she wanted. Spending time with her could bond in the most simple kind of way.

It was getting late and the coffee shop was gonna close soon so the four decided to leave.

Joongi and Yoonha went to the Han river and walked around the park there for a bit before going home.

Woomin took Jiyi to her rooftop apartment before going back to his house.

—————————————————————————————

It was Monday. Jen was now back to work as a normal office lady. Jen was tidy and professional looking as usual and she also tried not to think about the hot night she had on the weekend.

However, something  looked different about Jen and people started to notice. Jen’s skin glowed and radiated and people took notice of that. Even Yoonha said something about it in passing.

“Oh, hi Jen.”

“Hi, Yoonha…”

“Where are you going?” Yoonha asked.

“I have to take these files over to another department…” said Jen.

“Can’t you just do that digitally?” Yoonha asked, confused.

“Well, these forms are hard copies that this department needs…I’m just doing what I’m told…” said Jen with a smile.

“Anyways, your skin is glowing…and it’s radiating beautifully….did something happen that night?”

“No…not really….” Jen smiled.

“Oh….” Yoonha expected some juicy details but Jen decided to be simple and nonchalant.

“Nice, talking to you, Yoonha…I better get going…” Jen said with a smile while skipping off to the department she’s supposed to go to.

Yoonha thought Jen was very extra chipper so she put two and two together…

“Yup…they did it…they sure did…” Yoonha smiled quietly. Yoonha knew that something went down because of the way Jen was acting since she saw her this morning.

After Jen came back to the office Changsoo was waiting for her right at the door.

“Oh my, you scared me director Yoo..”

“Did you miss me?”

“Yeah….of course…what kind of dumb question is that?”

Jen was a little more relaxed at the office, she wasn’t so stiff anymore about being a professional and what not, ever since that fateful night.

Changsoo had his hand right on the door so Jen couldn’t really pass through to get to her desk.

“Director Yoo…Can I pass through?”

“No…not until I get a kiss from you and don’t talk about being a professional this and professional that…..”

Jen stayed quiet, she just couldn’t say anything. Changsoo lifted her chin while looking into her eyes and gently kissed her.

“There…now I think I could focus on my work…”

“You jerk!” Jen pouted and went back to her desk.

Changsoo just couldn’t forget about that fateful night and Jen wasn’t able to either. They were so close and intimate on that day so how could they forget such a precious moment like that?

Jen was less shy about flirting with him at work but she still wanted to keep her professional image nonetheless.

—————————————————————————————

Jen was in the process of looking for an apartment. Whenever she had a chance she would look online for a decent place that she could move into. She would use breaks and after work she would go straight home so she could research using different sites to find the right place for her.

Changsoo wants to help her, he even wants her to move in with him at the flat but she doesn’t want to impose. Changsoo also thought it might be a good idea for him to help her financially but she declined because she promised herself not to get any financial help from anybody…especially Changsoo and his family.

Changsoo wants to prove to Jen’s family that he will make her happy and not make her shed any kind of tears. Changsoo thought that the best way to do that is to support Jen on her endeavors. Even if Jen declines his financial help, he wanted to be there for her at least in an emotional sense then in the physical sense like helping her move and such.

Jen was on her lunch break. She was at the rooftop, enjoying the fresh air while looking at some pamphlets with different apartments. She looked at all the stats of the places with pictures but she still wasn’t satisfied. She then thought maybe she could get a rooftop apartment like Jiyi, it seemed so romantic to her.

Jen thought about asking Jiyi about her rooftop apartment. Changsoo was a little upset because Jen hasn’t been discussing moving options with him instead. He was jealous that she was discussing her moving situation more with Jiyi. He is her boyfriend and he wants to help her. It doesn’t have to be financial, he wants to help her in other ways, he wants to be her emotional support but he is upset because she is not letting him be that good boyfriend he wants to be.

Jen’s break was over and she finally got to the office. Jen was busy the moment she got there, she had a lot of things to organize. While she was trying to do some work Changsoo came up to her.

“Why don’t you discuss this type of stuff with me?” Changsoo asked.

“What do you mean?” Jen was clueless to what Changsoo was saying to her.

“Girl….I know you are an independent woman but you could still rely on me a little bit can’t you?”

“What are you talking about Director Yoo?”

“You know what I mean…you moving……I know you don’t want my help…..not receiving financial help, I could understand but I still want you to rely on me emotionally…I want to be there for you…..”

Changsoo grabbed Jen’s wrist and brought her close to him and had her put her head on his chest while he was patting her on the head.

“Let me help you … .We are life partners now….ever since that night….we are one now … … ..so please don’t push me away…”

Jen realized that Changsoo was right. Just because he isn’t helping her financially doesn’t mean she can’t rely on him emotionally too.

“I will let you help me look for a place then … .I was wondering…what do you think about me living in a rooftop apartment? Kinda like Jiyi’s?”

“Rooftop apartment?!” Changsoo wasn’t too sure about this because he did not want Jen to be living in a shabby place.

“Yeah…it seems romantic and the view seems really nice…..”

“I thought about this…..I gave it some thought……I know you are gonna turn it down but…I was thinking maybe you can come and live with me…..”

“At your parents house?! We are not even married yet….”

“No…silly…I’m talking about my SECRET PAD…”

“Honey….I don’t think that’s a good idea……I think we should wait till while we are engaged at least and that won’t happen until your father and your brothers approve….”

Changsoo didn’t understand, he wanted Jen to live with him even if it’s before marriage and all. However, he decided to just go with what Jen wants.

“Besides, I want to completely try this on my own but that doesn’t mean I won’t welcome your emotional support…”

“Okay, if that’s what you want, I respect your decision to do it that way.”

Changsoo was planning to go look at the rooftop apartment with her as soon as work was over at 5:00pm.

Changsoo also wanted to get official approval from Jen’s family, especially her father.

It was finally 5:00pm, it was time for them to get off work now. Changsoo is ready to take Jen to go look at the rooftop apartment available near the area. However, Jen told him that it would be difficult to find a rooftop apartment in his neighborhood because those kinds of houses are generally in more low income areas.

“Let’s go babe, it’s that time.”

“Alright, honey.”

Changsoo drove his girlfriend over to the place and as soon as they got up to the rooftop apartment, they were both mesmerized by the view. The place was small but you were able to see the beautiful night sky without smog or anything in the way like tall skyscrapers.

Changsoo isn’t normally fond of lower class homes because he grew up privileged all his life but he didn’t mind this one.

“Not too shabby…” Changsoo said with a grin.

“It’s pretty isn’t it?” Jen said with a smile.

Jen heard about the rooftop apartment from Jiyi before. Jiyi used to tell her that even if her life is difficult and full of thorns she’s able to endure it because of the view up here. Jen felt like Jiyi wasn’t exaggerating. Jen really likes it up here and so she wanted her boyfriend’s approval despite the fact that he is not gonna be helping her financially.

Changsoo made sure that the neighborhood was decent because he didn’t want his girl to be walking around in an unsafe neighborhood. He doesn’t want to have to worry about anything. Changsoo felt like he was becoming like a second father to her although that sounds a little creepy. Basically he wants to be the second guy in command when it comes to protecting someone he loves and cares about.

“Babe…let’s go with this….I like it…”

“You do?”

“Let’s call the people up…let them know that you’ll take it…”

Changie asked for the landlord’s number. He called the landlord to let her know that Jen will take the rooftop apartment. When the owner realized who he was speaking with he told Changsoo that he would give Jen a discount for three months of rent.

Jen realized that dating such a super privilege can give Jen so many benefits, even down to the smallest things. She didn’t want to abuse it but it felt nice to get a little break from things here and there even though she doesn’t want to admit to that.

“Let’s go babe…everything is all set…this will be your new place from now on….we should let your family know…”

“Yeah,,,,,,,”

He drove her home but Changsoo wanted to come in and greet the family again. He wanted to make things right with Jen’s father.

They were in front of Jen’s house. Jen was about to get out of the car and Changsoo grabbed Jen by the arm and said, I’m coming in with you.

“Are you sure honey? You want to face my dad again? After how he treated you?”

“I have to face him again sooner or later…..”

“That’s true…”

Changsoo got out of the car and then let Jen out by opening the door for her. He was becoming a true gentleman. He was never like this with the girls that he was involved with in the past.

“Let’s go…” Changsoo said while holding her hand.

The two lovebirds, this beautiful couple, walked into Jen’s house. The family was getting ready for dinner and this made Jen nervous because she was worried that they would humiliate Changsoo again.

“Hello, Mr. Park.” Changsoo greeted Jen’s father.

Jen’s family decided to treat Changsoo better this time after how they upset Jen with the way they treated him before.

“Hey there son…” Changsoo was so glad to hear Jen’s father addressing him as such because the word sounds very familiar to him as if he is finally accepted into the family.

“Hello sir…” Changsoo said again.

Jen gave everyone the eyes, to let them know that Jen is not gonna have it if they give him a hard time again.

Jen’s mother felt bad cus Changsoo would have to eat the commoner food unlike the last time he came over but he didn’t mind as long as Jen’s family accepts him then that’s all he cares about at this point.

“Sorry about this Director Yoo…if we knew that you were coming then I would have made something nicer…”

“Oh no madam…..this is plenty good…thank you…” Changsoo said in a polite tone. Changsoo respects Jen’s parents very much so he would never talk down to them.

Changsoo smiled kindly towards Jen’s sister and she smiled back at him with that guilt ridden face because of what happened last time when he was over here.

“Sorry about last time…..please forgive me…” Said Jen’s sister in a guilty voice.

“Oh no…I forgot about that already, don’t worry about it…” Changsoo wanted to think of Jen’s sister like his own since he only has two brothers that don’t even treat him very well because they are his archnemesis/Rivals.

At the dinner table Jen decided to tell her father that she is moving out and she wanted his blessings.

Everyone was gathered at the dinner table including Changsoo and the mom was trying to make some good stuff at the last minute even if Changsoo told him that she didn’t have to.

Finally everyone was gathered at the table, including Jen’s mother.

“Director Yoo….I cooked up some extra stuff…please enjoy….”

“Thank you madam….”

Jen’s parents realized how polite Changsoo is and he seems to portray himself as a good man who is worthy of their daughter.

“Dad….I am moving out…..I found a place for me to be independent…” Jen said all of a sudden which surprised her father.

Jen’s mother and sister already know about it so there is no surprise there but her father was scared of losing his babygirl. She is a grown woman now and it’s normal for someone her age to move out and try out her independence. However, Jen’s father had a hard time accepting that.

“It’s expensive out there…..Do you know that the city of Seoul has become more expensive over the years? Would you be able to handle it sweetheart?”

“Dad….I am not a little girl anymore….I’m a big girl now…or more like a grown woman…..I could hack it…”

Jen’s father realized that he can’t lock her up in this family home forever. Even birds leave the nest when they want to spread their wings a bit further out into the world.

Jen’s father tried his best to approve of her moving out but still you were able to hear it in his voice that he is not super happy about it.

“Jen….make sure….to call me…when you need assistance…”

“I will dad…don’t worry….”

“What’s your thought on Jen moving out son..?” Jen’s father asked Changsoo.

“I told her it would be challenging and it would be expensive for her but she is a big girl now so I don’t think I could stop her father…”

“You really said that?” Jen’s dad asked him to try his best to be polite to Changsoo.

“Daddy…he really did tell me that….”

Jen’s dad had a glass of wine and as he took a sip, he made that groaning sound that older men make. Jen’s dad didn’t want to yet but he felt like he had no other choice but to accept Jen’s boyfriend Changsoo. Mr Park couldn’t deny it, he saw the goodness in Yoo Changsoo despite what his past might have looked like.

Jen was happy that her family didn’t treat him bad like they did before.

Jen’s mother wanted to call him Son in Law Yoo but she was refraining herself from going there. And the sister realized that Changsoo is actually a good guy that could make Jen, her little sister happy.

Jen was happy that her father approved of her moving out, treating her like an adult for once. Jen’s sister also realized that Changsoo was a good guy and she approves of him as her possible brother in law.

The unexpected dinner went well. Jen has been busy packing to leave her nest for the next few days and she was finally ready to move into her new rooftop apartment with a great night view.

It was early Sunday afternoon. Changsoo was at Jen’s house. He rented a big moving truck to help Jen move into her new apartment. Jen’s family looked sad and proud at the same time.

Changsoo was in regular clothes and Jen’s family never saw him that way. Changsoo looked like one of them today with his outfit and hair. Changsoo and Jen’s father carried all the heavy stuff over to the moving truck. Jen’s father was glad that Jen was with Changsoo because Changsoo looked like a reliable young man that would be able to take care of his daughter when he is not able to.

As Changsoo and Jen’s father loaded Jen’s stuff into the moving truck, they were able to bond as two men that care about Jen very much who really thought nothing else than to know about Jen’s well being above all else.

The two men managed to get all of Jen’s stuff into the moving truck. Jen’s father was still having a difficult time because he wanted to keep her in the family home forever, this is normal for most fathers with daughters….Letting go seems to be hard for them.

Jen’s father patted Jen on the shoulders and gave her an envelope that looked like money in it then he said.

“Sweetheart, don’t forget to call us and visit us…….you should also ask Changsoo to help you if you need it.”

“Okay father….”

“I love you my little girl…” Jen’s father hugged Jen trying to hold back tears of his baby girl moving away. It’s not like she is going far away but just couldn’t help it.

“I love you too daddy….I will be good….and don’t worry I will call you guys and stop by from time to time…” Jen said as she was trying to hold back the tears as well.

Changsoo was kind of teary eyed. He loved the fact that this was a close knit family, he really liked that about the Park household.

Jen’s mother wanted to say something as well. She looked at both Jen and Changsoo.

“Jen, my daughter…you are finally moving away to spread your wings…..I am so proud of you … .but make sure to come visit and call…also ask for help if you need it…never hesitate…okay sweetie?”

Jen’s mom hugged her. She held her close as Jen put her head on her mother’s shoulder. Nothing like a mother’s love in times of distress. Although this is a happy day for Jen but at the same time kinda sad since she is leaving the nest now.

“I love you mom..thanks for taking care of me for all these years….”

Jen couldn’t help but to cry a little but her mother was happy that she was being honest with her emotions instead of holding it in.

Jen’s sister wanted to say something too.

“Jen…be happy…you know I care for you right, girl? Oh and if you want to watch PHS dramas with me…call me…..we could fangirl together…” Jen’s sister’s old habits started to come out. Amy looked at Changsoo and felt guilty that she talked about another guy, a celebrity in front of her boyfriend. However, Changsoo didn’t care. He actually likes PHS. He was the one that helped him see his love for Jen in the first place and throw away his destructive old habits.

“Thanks sis….love ya….”

Jen and her sister gave each other a bear a hug. Jen’s mom, dad and sister all gave Changsoo a hug too then a family group hug with Changsoo included.

“Welcome to the family, son….” said Jen’s father.

Changsoo couldn’t help but to cry.

“Take good care of my girl,,,,if you don’t know…you know what’s gonna happen right?” said Jen’s father in a firm voice.

“Yes, I am fully aware,” said Changsoo with utter politeness.

Jen and Changsoo got into the moving truck, and Changsoo drove them to Jen’s new place.

Changsoo gave Jen a week off from work so she could get situated at her new independent rooftop apartment.

It was already late at night. They decided to order take out and they were feeding each other the food that was delivered to them.

After they were done eating, they both stood up and looked at the night sky and Changsoo looked into her eyes and said.

“I love you Jen..”

“I love you too Changsoo ssi…”

They both held each other until it was so late that Changsoo had to go home.

“Make sure to call me or your family okay…….? If it’s too dark let me know…I have a way to change the street lights…” Changsoo winked.

“Just hurry up and go…I’m a big girl…I will take care of it…” Jen gestures to Changsoo to leave. Changsoo finally left and she went into her bedroom and sighed because she was proud of herself but lonely all of a sudden.

Also, he wasn’t trying to get them to give him a discount……Yumin is such a huge company that people just can’t help it when it comes to Director Yoo…
