IN ARGENTINA

Brina was not happy about Seojoon constantly pressuring her about stuff. She has barely gotten over Shikkie so she needed room to clear her head about her relationship with Seojoon. 

Brina felt like she was suffocating because Seojoon was so obsessed with the title of their relationship.

Jen has no idea that Brina sent that text by accident. Brina wanted to prove something to Seojoon. She was so tired of him trying to put a label onto their relationship. She doesn’t mind the labels but right now she is not ready to make anything official with him.

“Seojoon….I am so sick of this! Isn’t being intimate like this enough?!”

After Brina left for Argentina so she could forget about Shikkie, Seojoon followed suit. Seojoon decided to go follow her to Argentina. 

Once Seojoon got there he was surprised that Brina was so sweet to him and the thing that shocked him the most was the fact that she was able to give herself to him completely.

Seojoon was reading into this a little too much and he thought being intimate with somebody automatically equals to some sort of a stable relationship.

“I appreciate you for being there for me when I needed someone the most! I get it…but I’m just not ready for stability yet…….!”

Out of anger and frustration Brina grabbed her phone and typed something real fast. She was typing something to Jen via text…..

“Hi Jen! I am doing well here! You don’t have to worry about me, because I am doing great! By the way, I am completely over Shikkie now so you don’t have to worry about me stealing your man away oh and I’m with Seojoon now! We are finally together and happy!”

“Is this what you want Seojoon?!” Brina asked angrily in a very annoyed and frustrated tone. Her hand was shaking because she was so angry at Seojoon and this made her accidentally press the send button.

“Oh crap…I sent it……Jen is gonna see this….”

“Isn’t it a good thing? Shouldn’t Jen be happy that you are over him?”

“Seojoon…what are you talking about? She didn’t really know that I even had a thing for Shikkie in the first place….!”

“Then why now?”

“Look, Seojoon…I’m just not ready to be committed to anybody…I like you but if you keep on pestering me, even friends with benefits might not last!”

Jen was back at home with Shikkie and Shikkie was holding her on the bed but she seemed a little distant. She was thinking about something. She was nervous about Monday because she would have to deal with life in the real world. 

She was worried about how she was going to make the script fun. She is getting anxiety because she has never written a script for the big wigs before, let alone any screenplay for that matter. She has written a few novels and fiction but not screenplays. 

“My mind is a jumble because I don’t know how I can make the story fun….A superhero kinda like deadpool…..?But a Korean version of it … ?.I am kinda amazed how I even got picked for this job….” Jen started having doubts. She was scared that she won’t be able to pull this off and on top of that she would have to watch her husband to be working with other females, what would that be like? 

“You will do fine sweetheart.” Shikkie said but Jen wasn’t convinced. She felt anxious, she wanted to hurry up and go to work so she would be able to see what it’s like being a screenwriter for a drama, working with people she has seen on TV before and also working with her boyfriend too.

The house was so quiet without Seojoon, peakboy and Brina. Tae and Wooshik were very busy with their new projects so they were hardly home.

Brina thought about leaving Arengina to go back to Korea to undo what she did….She wanted to clarify something with Jen. Technically she could just text her but she felt it would be better if she would take care of this in person. However, she didn’t want to tell anybody about it. She didn’t want to tell Seojoon about it either but she decided to give Jen a text to let her know that she is gonna book a ticket to Korea.

“Hi, Jen…..Buenas Tardes..? Well…..I want to let you know that I booked a ticket to Korea…I need to clarify something with you……and please don’t tell Shikkie nor Seojoon about this. I don’t want anybody to know that I’m going over there. Oh…and don’t worry, I won’t be staying with you guys….I’m gonna get myself a cheap hotel to stay in for awhile…..”

Jen just received a text from Brina about her coming to Korea to see her to clarify something. Brina didn’t want her to let the others know about it and she didn’t understand why she had to do that.

Jen was confused as to why she wanted it to be that way and she just couldn’t help but to be worried about this. 

Shikkie came and hugged her from behind and asked her why she looked so concerned.

“What’s wrong, babe?”

“Oh nothing….” Jen couldn’t really say anything because she wasn’t supposed to tell anybody that Brina is coming to Korea. Jen just decided to use an excuse and the good excuse was her new job.

“I’m nervous about Monday, honey…..”

“Oh don’t be…I’ll be there to support you….babe…”

“Thanks, honey….” said Jen while hugging him.

Finally the time has come. It was Jen’s first day at her job as a screenwriter. She saw her boyfriend walking around greeting everyone. He was such a friendly, sweet and personable guy that she felt intimidated a bit.

“Hello, director….” Shikkie greeted the director and he greeted all the staff who are gonna be involved in Comedy Superhero.

Shikkie was such a personable guy that Jen almost felt jealous of her man. Jen was an insecure girl and it makes her feel even more insignificant realizing that she hardly knows anybody in this business unlike her man.

Jen really envied her boyfriend’s personality and charms, she felt like she needed that right now.

Jen is not as outgoing as her boyfriend. She is not a complete introvert but she is more of an introvert than an extravert that’s for sure. It takes Jen time to warm up to people that she is not familiar with.

Shikkie tries his best to accommodate Jen and tries his best to make her feel at home since he knows that she is still learning about the industry.

“Babe, come here…let’s go meet with the director…” Shikkie held Jen’s hand and took her over to the director.

“This is my girlfriend, Jen…Jen Park….”

“Hello…nice to meet you, Miss Park. I finally get to see the talent.” Director Kim said. 

The director was a little surprised because he had no idea that Jen was Shikkie’s girlfriend.

“This is your girlfriend, Hyungsik?” asked the director.

“Yes she is…” He said proudly with his arm around her shoulder.

As Jen was getting acquainted, some beautiful woman walked towards them. Jen wasn’t sure but it looked like the actress Han Hyojoo. She previously was in a drama with Shikkie, it was called Happiness, a very successful K-Zombie drama that a lot of people liked. 

Hyojoo was so mesmerizing that Jen couldn’t help but to lose herself temporarily. Is this what it’s like to be working in the industry? Jen was feeling star struck, she always had fascinations for famous people but working so closely in the industry might make her see things in a different light.

Hyojoo was walking around greeting everyone. She was very friendly and cool. Jen always thought if she were to have a female celebrity friend Han Hyojoo would be one of those people. Hyojoo seemed very chill and down to earth so Jen felt like she didn’t have to act like something she is not. 

“Hi director Kim…” Hyojoo greeted the director who is gonna be running this project.

“Hi..Hyojoo … .Welcome aboard, this is gonna be fun…everyone loves working with you cus you are a pro..”

“Oh…director..stop…you are embarrassing me….” Hyojoo was sweet and humble too so this is why everyone loved her.

Then Hyojoo came over to Shikkie…or rather Hyungsik….

“Hyungsik ah!” During the filming of Happiness and afterwards they were kinda like Brother and Sister. 

Hyojoo called him Hyungsik not Shikkie and she called him Noona which means older sister in Korean.

“Oh Noona…You have gotten prettier…..!” He patted her on the shoulder and she patted him back but on the head.

Jen felt a little weirded out by this because she thought that her and Hyojoo were gonna be best of friends when she watched them in Happiness but then now? She feels rather intimated but doesn’t want to show that side of her…Jen wants to be a pro but she feels like her insecurities might get the better of her.

“Oh … .who is this…..is this the writer girl?” Hyojoo asked, looking at Jen.

“Oh yea, let me introduce you to her……Noona, this is Jen Park my girlfriend… and yes, she is the writer for this project…”

“Oh really? Do you have a girlfriend? I didn’t know cus it was never announced … .I didn’t even see it on the internet articles or magazines…!”

“Well…we want to keep this relationship kind of private and I used some magical powers that I have to shield her from the press..” said Shikkie while laughing out loud.

“Nice to meet you, Miss writer lady…” Hyojoo greeted Jen with a very sweet smile. She put her hand out so they could shake hands but Jen was so out of it that she completely forgot to put her hand out.

Then Hyungsik tapped Jen on the shoulder to let her know that she should put her hand out.

“Oh sorry….Hyojoo unnie…”

“Awww…..how cute…she called me unnie….”

“Yeah…you should just be like sisters…..” Hyungsik said.

Jen smiled awkwardly while Hyojoo was smiling naturally. 

“Let’s go.” said Hyungsik.

The director wanted to talk about the reason why they are doing this project and why he hired Jen to be the screenwriter in one of the little meeting rooms inside of the studio. Once they did a little orientation, the director wanted to have Jen write episode 1-2 with a deadline.

The cast and crew were in this little room where actors and actresses read lines and rehearse.

The director introduced everyone and they were getting acquainted. Jen was in the spotlight because she is the writer for this project. However, Jen felt like she shouldn’t be in the spotlight and it should be the leading actor which is her man and the female love interest which is the actress Han Hyojoo.

Brina managed to book a ticket to Seoul, Korea and the flight is early tomorrow morning, Argentina time. Seojoon will find out the next day and would have to face the cold hard truth about his clingy behavior that led to all this.

Seojoon was a little depressed because he thought he was being selfless for his love for this latin woman but it seems like all he is getting back is, “stop pestering me, or else there won’t be anymore friends with benefits…” This hurt Seojoon a lot. 

Seojoon had a lot to think about. Once Brina flies over to Korea, Seojoon is gonna be in for a rude awakening.
