An intern at Yumin Corp: Chapter 13………

·

Yoonha grew up in a pretty screwed up environment. Her family life is so much worse than Changsoo’s. At least Changsoo has a good mom and dad that care about him. The only problem with Changsoo’s family are his older brothers that are competing for the Yumin inheritance.

However, with Yoonha, her family life is such a mess. Yoonha’s father only cares about Taejin Group, he has a mistress that’s living with them which completely ruined her mother’s life. Yoonha’s mother was pretty neglecting her situation since she is dealing with her own drama thanks to her father. Then she has a bunch of sisters who are competing for the Jang family inheritance.

Both Changsoo and Yoonha have something in common. They are both from rich families but their end goal isn’t to inherit everything, unlike their siblings. Yoonha certainly isn’t a gold digger but she did have an infatuation for Changsoo.

Yoonha doesn’t realize how much Joongi likes her, Joongi fell in love with her the moment he met Yoonha. There was something about Yoonha that he couldn’t put his fingers on. He loved that mysterious and intense energy about her.

Joongi kept on staring at her and Yoonha was staring at him too. Yoonha started to feel something strange but didn’t know how to calculate this feeling when it’s not even a math equation.

“I will be right back……Deputy Choi…” said Yoona slightly out of breath.

Yoonha decided to go see Changsoo, she missed him and the main reason why she even came to Yumin was for him anyways. Yoonha was imagining something scandalous but she was dead wrong about Jen.

As soon as Yoonha opened the door she saw Jen working quietly and so was Changsoo.

“Oh hi Yoonha…” Changsoo said in a friendly manner but certainly not the sweet tone of voice he would use when talking to Jen.

Yoonha was surprised that Changsoo was friendly with her unlike before.

Jen got up real quick to greet Yoonha. Jen knew that Yoonha is Joongi’s new secretary.

“Hello, Secretary Jang…would you like something to drink?” Jen asked in a professional but friendly voice.

“No…no…I’m fine…..” Yoonha wanted to talk to Changsoo in private but didn’t know how to get Jen out of the office. Jen was witty enough to tell that Yoonha wanted her out of the room.

“I will go take a little coffee break….is that okay Director Yoo?”

“Oh, that’s fine…..Jen…you go do that…” Changsoo gave her a sweet eye smile.

Jen went out to get a quick break so Changsoo and Yoonha could have a chit chat. She got herself some mocha latte and went up to the rooftop balcony. She took a deep breath and stretched her arms towards the sky and as she was lowering her arms, her phone was going off.

*Beep. Beep*

Jen checked her phone and it was her sister.

“What the heck?” Jen asked herself. “Why is sis texting me?” Jen was curious about what her sister wanted from her.

Jen, mom wants you to bring your Director Yoo over to the house

She wants to make dinner for him. Actually it’s more like meeting him in person, and I kinda want to see him too. I’m pretty sure dad feels the same way. The dinner is gonna be at 7:00…all you have to do is bring him here….got that? Love ya my lil sis….

Jen was supposed to go on that date with Director Yoo right after work but she realized that would have to wait for another day.

Yoonha was alone with Changsoo by himself. She had a question to ask him.

“Do you really like that girl?”

“Who?”

“You know…your secretary……”

“Yes, I do…I never met such a girl like that before….”

Changsoo couldn’t help but to brag about her. Yoonha realized that he was so into Jen for him to brag about her like that and this made Yoonha a little jealous. Yoonha was infatuated with Changsoo and maybe even obsessed with him but it wasn’t actually love.

She really doesn’t have to marry Changsoo since she has everything already. Marrying Changsoo is really her dad’s thing more than hers. However, she does want to experience him though and maybe her obsessive infatuation comes from certain kinds of desires.

Yoonha still wanted Jen out of the company but yet something was nagging at her and it was bothering her. It was this brief interaction she had with Joongi’s mother early in the morning on her way into the office.

“So, how is working for Joongi? I hope you are liking it….I think you should give Joongi a chance….he is a nice guy…..he might not be from the same stock as us and also he kinda used me as a stepping stone to get to where he is now but still he is a nice guy…..”

Changsoo wanted to put in a good word for him because he promised Joongi that he would help him win over Yoonha.

“Why are you trying so hard to convince me that Joongi is a good guy? Are you trying to be the matchmaker here?”

“I didn’t say that……you are the one who’s interpreting it that way, not me…….I didn’t say a word about you hooking up now……” Changsoo was smiling underneath his words….It felt like it was working……

Jiyi was working at her end of the Yumin Corp which was the grocery part of it. She was so depressed because she found out that Yoonha is working under Joongi, she felt like there would be no chance between her and Deputy Choi.

Yoonha’s mother was at home, playing her piano while drinking her wine. She was depressed because of her husband’s mistress. Also, her daughters did not care about her woes except for trying to inherit the company.

Yoonha’s dad didn’t care about his wife, his mistress, and his children. Mr Jang only cared about expanding Taejin Group, even if he had to stomp on others to do it. To Mr Jang, there is no co-ownership nor a fair merge, it’s just a brutal expansion while stomping on everything and everyone else to get there.

Jen’s mother was cooking in the kitchen. She was excited to meet this young man. Jen’s father is a small business owner and he was out at his office right now and her sister was out working too. However, the mom was going through all the trouble to make a nice meal for her potential future son in law.

Changsoo’s father was curious about how things are coming along for Changsoo and Yoonha. Changsoo’s mother was doing something in the kitchen, she was making sure that the housekeeper was doing her job and she heard her husband calling her from the living room.

Changsoo’s dad was clearing his throat as his wife was walking towards him. The dad was sitting on his comfy living room sofa, he had his feet on the long coffee table while sipping some high grade tea.

“Ahem…”

“Honey….is there something you want to tell me?”

“Yes, dear…how is Changsoo and Yoonha coming along?”

“I am not sure….I haven’t been keeping track…..”

“Yoonha is working for our company now, that is such a good news…..all we need to do now is for them to get married.” said Changsoo’s dad while still clearing his throat.

“I will work on it dear…I will go to his office early tomorrow morning…it’s already mid afternoon…”

“Okay……that’s good … .try to rush it and give Changsoo the urgency so he could marry her fast…”

Mr Yoo had no clue that Jen and Changsoo have been dating behind their backs. However, Mrs. Yoo, and Changsoo’s two brothers are aware of the fact that Changsoo is dating Jen Park who used to be an intern but now she is Changsoo’s secretary.

Meanwhile, Joongi’s mom came by again because she forgot to give him his lunch that he packed for him.

Joongi was with his mom eating at the company cafeteria and Yoonha saw his mom there. They looked so happy together and Yoonha envied people with good family ties. She may be from a rich family but then they are not really happy. Also, Joongi’s mom treated her with kindness and respect which she hardly gets from home. Joongi’s mom gave her some sweets when she was asking about Joongi.

Joongi’s mom saw Yoonha and greeted her by waving her hand towards her. Then she told Joongi that she really likes Yoonha and Joongi was so happy to hear this since he really likes her too.

“Mother…you really like her?” Joongi asked, pleased.

“Yeah…she was so kind enough to take me to your office earlier this morning. No matter how many times I come here I get lost. She was nice enough to escort me to your office instead of just telling me how to get there like most people.

Yoonha decided to say hello to Joongi’s mother. She had no clue that Joongi had a thing for her but she should be finding that out real soon.

“Hello, mother…” Yoonha went over to the cafeteria to greet Joongi’s mom. She hardly even calls her own mother mom in a friendly way. She just couldn’t help herself. A lot of regular people envy the rich but some rich actually envy the ordinary folks.

“Oh hello…your name was?”

“My name is Yoonha, Jang Yoonha…” Yoonha said politely.

“Oh I’m sorry … .I forget names easily … .I feel bad now….sit down have some lunch with us….I don’t know if you like this kind of food. I occasionally bring lunch for Joongi and today is one of those days…” Joongi’s mom said while laughing almost hysterically.

Joongi was a little shy. He was almost like the male version of Jen. He is having a hard time being around Yoonha like this. As the three were getting more acquainted, Lee Jiyi from the grocery department saw Joongi, his mom and Yoonha eating lunch together.

Yoonha really liked Joongi’s mother. Her dream was to live an ordinary life like this. Just like Changsoo she is not really interested in the family inheritance. However, what she wanted was happiness and joy in the family which the Jang family lacked severely. At least with Changsoo, his mom and dad get along for the most part. He just doesn’t get along with his brothers because of the stupid sibling rivalry over the family inheritance. With Yoonha though, she does not get along with her dad, his mistress, her mom, and her sisters. The only person that she somewhat got along with was her older brother who was overseas.

Joongi’s family was very ordinary but they looked happy and this is what Yoonha wanted. Although it’s true that Yoonha wanted to have that experience with Changsoo but then lately that desire has been a lot weaker for whatever reason.

Jen thought that she was out long enough to go back into the office. She cheerfully went back and there was Changsoo greeting her sweetly.

“You are back…” Then Changsoo put his arm out to hug her but Jen rejected that hug.

“Director Yoo….not here…..” Changsoo thought Jen was so cute in trying her best to remain professional but he knows Jen well enough that deep inside she is super happy and he is right.

Any kind of touch coming from Changsoo drives Jen crazy and that’s including a simple hug.

Jen had to tell Changsoo something. Her facial expression looked a little serious too.

“Director Yoo…..I have something to tell you…”

“What is it Miss Park … .why do you look so serious like that?”

“My mom…she wants you to come over for dinner!” Jen said worriedly. She was afraid that Changsoo would be upset about this because he might think it’s too soon to meet the parents.

“You looked so worried because you thought I was gonna get upset about it?”

“Yep! So…. are you?”

“You are so silly……” Changsoo got up to pet Jen’s head again. This has become his trademark. It’s strange because he wouldn’t even let him hug her earlier but she allowed him to pet her though…..which seemed a little contradicting.

“Why would I be mad, Secretary Park? Hmmm….Going to dinner…that’s not a problem…I’ll go….We’ll go together after work.”

“The dinner is at seven so with traffic and everything, we might get there a little early…”

“That’s fine……”

“Most guys don’t like it when they get invited over to dinner by their girlfriends parents but you sure seem so delighted about this….”

Jen is right, most guys would try to make excuses or something and Changsoo is good proof. Most of his previous encounters didn’t even make it far enough to meet the parents. During his playboy years if a girl asked him to go to their parents house he would’ve freaked out or something.

Jen was confused as to why Changsoo was willing to go eat dinner with Jen’s family so easily.

“I am not the same anymore Secretary Park…you should know this by now….” Changsoo winked right after he said that. Jen wanted to give him a kiss but she is trying her very best to maintain her professional image. She was excited when he just patted her head a few minutes ago. Ever since Jen started working for Yumin and interacted with Changsoo, her daily fight was to suppress her impulses to remain professional at all cost.

“Thanks Director Yoo. It was my mother’s idea. She was insisting that you come over and eat dinner with us. I was so embarrassed.”

“Were you now? You don’t have to be my darling….”

“Okay…well I’m so glad…Thank you director Yoo for willing to eat dinner with my family and…Yeah…I uhhh…better get back to work…” Jen quickly went back to her seat. She had a lot to do. She had to make sure that the schedules line up perfectly for Director Yoo.

Jen had a lot of files to organize along with various clerical duties that her job requires from her. She really loves her job and even more so now with Changsoo being there all the time with her.

It was finally 5:00pm. The two finally got off from work and were getting ready to go meet Jen’s family.

“Director Yoo, are you nervous?”

“A little. I hope they like me….”

“They will love you!” Jen said with a great big smile although in reality they were a little untrusting of him because of his colorful past.

As Jen and Changsoo were walking out of the building they both saw Jiyi looking sad and depressed.

Jen decided to say hi to her.

“Hi Jiyi!” Jen said cheerfully but Jiyi ignored her and kept on walking fast as if she was about to cry.

Changsoo said hello to her too but she ignored him as well.

“What’s with her?” Changsoo asked curiously.

“I don’t know…” Jen asked just as curious.

Jen was thinking maybe they should do something for Jiyi.

As Jen and Changsoo were heading to his mustang they were talking about how they could possibly cheer up Jiyi.

“Hey…Changsoo ssi…should we take Jiyi to the club? We could help her dance the blues away? What do you think?”

Jen held Changsoo by the arm and was asking him that question cutely. Changsoo was amazed how she could go from a stiff secretary lady to a cute teen girl just like that. Changsoo did not like the idea of going to the club though and that’s because he didn’t want to be reminded of all the things that he used to do there with different girls. Changsoo is a different man now and he didn’t want to have to face his past that way.

“Club?” Changsoo asked as they both got in his car. Changsoo added while showing some concern…..

“Jen…going to the club…I don’t think that’s a good idea…..Maybe we can take Jiyi somewhere else to cheer her up…” Changsoo said while patting her on the head again. Jen started to pout because she really wanted to go to the club and Jiyi was a good excuse for it.

Jen was being cunning right now. She had ulterior motives about the whole club thing but she wasn’t daring enough to say that she wanted him to take her there because she wanted to experience the wild escapades that used to be Changsoo’s daily ritual in the past.

He put the seat belt on her while ignoring the whole club thing for now.

“I want my girl to be safe..” Jen couldn’t help but to have the weird feelings again. All he did was touch her slightly to put the seatbelt on her but she felt so out of this world, just with that small act. Changsoo was smirking as he started the car. This is why Changsoo was so irresistible to her and made her want to experience some wild escapades that were lacking in Jen’s life. Jen’s life is pretty vanilla and she wanted to spice it up a little and she felt like going to the past world of Yoo Changsoo could help her with that.

“You are such a goofball, Changsoo ssi…” said Jen. Changsoo really hated the formal Director Yoo but he understood why she had to call him that at work but she really loved being called Changsoo ssi, Changsoo or even oppa.

Changsoo smirked at her again as he drove the car to Jen’s house. Jen was a little nervous because she didn’t want her family to give him such a hard time.

Jen’s mom got all the food ready and they were set nicely on the table. Jen’s sis and father, they just got home not too long ago from work.

“Honey, dress nicely…..we are having a special guest over.” said Jen’s mom.

“Okay…dear….” Jen’s dad felt like this was such a hassle but he didn’t want to hear it from his wife again so he went over to change into something more presentable.

Jen’s sister was dressed in some brand name clothes and the mom was in a nice decent outfit to welcome the great guest of honor.

Changsoo parked the car in the guest car garage. He looked at Jen a little nervously.

“I hope they like me babe….How do I look?”

“You look marvelous!” Jen said, giving him a quick peck on the lips.

Jen unlocked the door by punching in the passcode then it made the beep sound. Changsoo was a little surprised that her home didn’t look that shabby. In the past when he dropped her off, he never inspected her house in such detail. He just assumed that ordinary folks had a regular keyhole, not a high tech system where you just punch in the passcode to unlock the door.

Changsoo was afraid and nervous. He has never felt this nervous before. He thought he had it all down, he thought he wasn’t gonna be this nervous but he was so wrong. He has never visited a girl’s family before with all of his previous encounters. Well, they were just casual encounters, nothing more and nothing less. However, with Jen, she is someone he cares about a lot so it was only natural for him to feel a little nervous around her family.

Jen’s mom is a little more easy going but her father is very old fashioned

Jen’s mom was the first one to welcome the young man.

“Hello…Director Yoo..” The mom did not know how to address him but since he is her boss she wanted to still address him formally. .

“Oh…ma’am…you don’t have to address me that way. Please feel free to talk down to me…I mean…casually…” Changsoo was so awkward because he has never felt this nervous around older people like this. He wasn’t even nervous around the older board members at work. Jen’s father looked very terrifying, it kinda reminded him of his own father but in a different kind of way though.

Changsoo saw the food laid out before him on this long traditional Korean table. The food didn’t seem all that different from what he is used to eating at home. A lot of it was high quality Korean dishes, mixed with some fancy western style cuisine. Changsoo was impressed that Jen’s family went through all this trouble just for him.

“Thank you Mother, Father…..Thank you for inviting me……” Changsoo said in a humble tone. He doesn’t even talk to his own parents this way except for his own father maybe.

Jen was so proud of Changsoo, she thought he was doing well. Jen’s sister was in the bathroom putting some makeup on. Jen thought that it was weird for her to do that since she doesn’t have to impress him after all.

“Have a seat son…” Jen’s father said in a slightly authoritative manner.

Jen’s mom tapped her husband on the shoulder, gesturing to him that he should be nicer to Director Yoo since he is Jen’s boss and all. However, Mr Park or rather Father Park did not care about that because he wanted to show this young man that if he dared mess with his little girl he would be in a whole lot of trouble.

“Oh Hey!” said Jen’s big sister. She greeted him with a nice hug.

“Oh Hello…” Changsoo said in a friendly way.

“Hi…I’m Jen’s big sister! Nice to meet you!” Jen’s sister put her hand out to shake Changsoo’s hand. He put his hand out to shake hers in return.

“Hi. I am Yoo Changsoo…Jen’s boss and boyfriend…” Changsoo felt kinda awkward saying that. Being her boss and boyfriend….it’s weird for many people since a lot of employees don’t usually date their bosses like this.

“Let the boy sit…” Jen’s dad said in a commanding voice.

Changsoo sat back down and the poor guy did not even have a chance to eat his food because Jen’s family members were asking him loads of questions.

“So….——-” Jen’s father was gonna talk but then he got interrupted by the sister.

“Dad…I want to ask first…..” Jen sis said in a bratty tone of voice.

“So…how many girlfriends have you had? I heard you were a notorious playboy…is that true?” Jen’s sister asked in a playful but interrogating way.

Jen was so embarrassed and she felt so bad that Changsoo had to go through this.

“Sis…stop being rude…what kind of question is that?”

Jen’s parents agreed that the way the sister asked the question was very impolite but then they were actually curious about the matters of his colorful past. The whole family remembers some of the scandals that they have read about in the papers, years ago. However, Jen’s mom decided to stop the interrogation and let the boy eat.

“Director Yoo….try some…I made this especially for you….”

“Thank you mother…”

“Leave the boy—I mean, Director Yoo alone….” Jen’s mom said with a smile, trying her best to make him feel at home while the other family members are almost like interrogating him.

“Honey……..and My eldest daughter……please don’t be so mean to this man….” The mom said.

“No mother, don’t worry about it…I think they do have the right to know more about me……It’s because you don’t want Jen to get hurt right?”

Changsoo had way more girlfriends than he is able to count with his 10 fingers. Since he was 20 years old he was “dating” a lot and he is 29 now and he changed his partners almost once a week. Even though there were some rare times when the relationship lasted about a month but nothing serious. So if you do the math and if he had to be honest with Jen’s parents, they would faint.

Changsoo wanted to be honest but he couldn’t because if he did say the actual numbers the parents would probably tell Jen to break up with him. Changsoo didn’t want to worry her parents so he had to not say anything if he could help it.

But the thing is Changsoo had so many encounters that he himself didn’t really even know the exact number of partners he had.

“Mom, dad, sis….don’t ask him all those sensitive questions….geesh…” Jen was a little annoyed that her family was making her Director Yoo feel uncomfortable even though he is not showing it.

All the food that Jen’s mom made hasn’t been really touched so the mom decided to encourage everyone to eat already.

“Come on…I worked so hard to make all this….let’s eat…..Please eat to your heart’s content, director Yoo.” Jen’s mom said politely.

Jen was a little upset with her sister for being so blunt about Changsoo’s past, it seemed like her sister was more into asking questions like this than the parents.

“Son, listen….the only reason why we are asking personal questions is because we don’t want Jen to get hurt…she is precious to us and we don’t want you to toy with her and toss her like an old shoe…..”

“I am sure you have watched dramas before … .when an ordinary girl dates a rich young man, they end up having to break up because of the pressures of the parents since they have someone else in mind to marry their son.”

Jen’s father was right since his parents have been pestering him to date and marry Jang Yoonha already and if not Yoonha at least marry the Bimbo, Lee Sieon.

“Sir…it won’t be like that…I really care about your daughter….As a matter of fact I never felt this way before……this is the only time I’ve been serious about a girl…sir….” Changsoo almost sounded like he was begging for the acceptance of Jen’s family.

“Come here son…” Jen’s dad said. He patted him on the shoulder and encouraged him.

“It seems like you are a genuine man….treat her right…..Oh and your parents…do they know about your relationship with my little girl?”

“No sir…well…my dad is not aware but my mother is sir…”

“Does your mother accept Jen as your girlfriend?”

“I don’t know sir…..I think she knows but she hasn’t really accepted Jen yet….”

“Well….before you two get serious, I want your parents to approve of your relationship with my daughter…to be fair, at least your mother….”

“Dad…” Jen said in a whiny complaining voice.

Jen’s dad was clearing his throat while Jen’s mom and sis were nervously eating their bowl of soup that Jen’s mother made.

“Dad…..we are not gonna get married yet…so why would you need their approval?”

“Don’t worry sir…I will make sure I get their approval……”

Jen couldn’t believe that her man was being so submissive to her father.

“Have you done enough yet?! Have you done enough to humiliate him?”

“My daughter…I wasn’t trying to humiliate him….I don’t think it would be right to date him without their approval…..” The dad said, trying to convince Jen that he has the right to treat him this way.

“Dad…we are not living in the middle ages or back in the Joseon era……We are not even thinking of getting married yet … .we barely started dating not too long ago…so why does he need to get the approval of both of his parents? That’s absurd dad!”

Changsoo agreed with her because they both barely started dating each other and they haven’t even thought about getting married yet.

Jen couldn’t take it anymore. She couldn’t stand her father treating her like a little child when she is a big girl or more like a grown woman.

Jen lost her appetite, despite all that effort that her mom had to go through to prepare a fancy dinner just for Director Yoo. Her father really struck a nerve there and Jen grabbed Changsoo then left the house.

Jen’s father realized that he messed up. Jen’s sister felt horrible because it wasn’t her intention to make Changsoo feel bad or anything, she was trying to be an overprotective big sister that just became too obsessed with his colorful past. Jen’s mom was nice to him but she felt that she couldn’t get the father and the sister to stop. They were all sighing as Jen and Changsoo left.

Jen and Changsoo were in front of Changsoo’s car……

“It’s late…you should go back inside…your parents are gonna worry about you……..”

“But I hated the fact that they were making you feel uncomfortable….” Jen said in a cute little pouty voice.

Changsoo grabbed Jen by the head and put her head on his chest as he was playing with the strands of her hair.

“No…I felt a little bad about my past because I didn’t want to tell your father about all my past relationships but I wouldn’t say, I was feeling uncomfortable … .besides…your dad is just worried about you…”

“We barely started dating and he wants both of your parents’ approval…..that’s a little ridiculous don’t you think?”

“Don’t worry……my parents will love you….”

Jen couldn’t help but to pout to that…

“Now, go on back in…….you are gonna catch a cold out here and you don’t want to worry your parents….we’ll talk about our parents next time and tell your parents I said sorry…especially your mother…she worked so hard to prepare that dinner…I feel bad that I couldn’t finish it.”

Jen couldn’t hardly believe that the man that is holding her now used to be a playboy that only thought about himself.

Changsoo gave her a peck on the head and encouraged her to go back in. Changsoo hopped in the car and didn’t leave until she made it inside the house.

Jen decided to go inside of the house but she did not want to talk to her parents at that moment.

She just said one thing to her dad, mom and sister.

“You guys were so messed up.”

Jen went straight up to her bedroom after that line. She laid down on her bed and thought to herself that maybe she should get her own place so her parents won’t constantly nag about getting the approval of Changsoo’s parents. At least Jen’s mom wasn’t really pestering him about that but as long as she lives under the same roof as her old man, she is gonna constantly hear about it so she thought that she should move out and get her own pad.

Jen thought that made sense since she is a fiercely independent girl or more like an independent young woman or even just an independent woman.

“I’m gonna look for my own place..” Jen said to herself quietly.

As she was about to go to sleep she got a text from Changsoo.

Please thank your mom when you get a chance. Tell her that the meal was delicious and also tell her that I’m sorry that I couldn’t finish it. Tell your father and sister that I’m sorry for leaving like that and can you please tell your father that I apologize for being rude for just leaving. Oh and please reassure your dad, that I will get the approval from both of my parents about our relationship…

P.S I LOVE YOU SWEETIE AND GOOD NIGHT! MUAH! *HUGS AND KISSES*

You don’t have to apologize Changhie oppa, it wasn’t your fault. Thanks for being so sweet to my family even when they were being kinda mean to you…..

I love you Changie…. *Hugs and Kisses*

They both drifted to lala land to see each other in their dreams and see each other at work tomorrow when they wake up.

  2. Nope…Wooshik is a good guy…He is like one of the few good friends Chansoo has along with Joongi…Wooshik and Changsoo go a long way…Try elementary school…Although Changsoo and Joongi have known each other since High School…

So you think Changie should introduce Wooshik/Woomin to Jiyi since he is single and a trustworthy guy or do you have someone specific in mind that you want to see with Jiyi?

  4. I dunno. It would be against bro code. I think it would be too much. Maybe a random guy could hit on Jen.

  8. I mean, Jengie are far from having a weak bond. It’s not like they are in a casual relationship and do not expect anything further… Then, s*x wouldn’t be a meaningful moment.

  9. I was thinking that maybe Changie might meet his old club buddies at the club and he is so uncomfortable around them…..by seeing them it just proves his point that they shouldnt’ve went to the club to cheer up Jiyi…..

  10. But with Jen and Changie they are far from it although…..it was their physical attraction at first that intrigued them but they are growing as people and also as a couple…

Im happy that we added Kitten Brina too because I feel like Kitten Brina might be able to add more to Changie that we didn’t know about……..I think my version of HS Changie is a little different than the OG HS……

  12. It wouldn’t feel right for them to get intimiate if the true bond isn’t there than that wouldn’t be no different than his previous encounters haha

I was reading on the internet that when it comes to intimate scenes if the emotion isn’t there and if it’s just two people getting physical then it won’t do anything for the readers…..

  17. When you are really committed to a relationship, you feel that if your loved one is hurt, you take the hit too. Changie knows that he can prove his worth in the eyes of Jen’s family, not because he feels insulted, but bc he is determined to honor her unwavering support.

  19. It is undeniable that there is skin between them. But at this point in the story they both developed a true bond that goes beyond physical attraction or love at first sight.

  20. Jen doesn’t like it when people bring up his past in a negative way……Jen knows that he is not like that anymore…..Jen loves him even if he had numerous playthings in the past because Jen knows deep within she is the only girl he cares about…….so it bothers her to no end when people…whether it’s her family, friends or just anybody talking about his womanizing days because it’s kinda insulting to her……when people insult him its like insulting her….

  21. Knowing him….Changie might try to even help her get a place……and pay for it or have her live with him but Jen turns it down because she does not want to appear as a gold digger which she is not….

Jen loves Changie for the person not because he has status, or cus he is rich…although he is handsome but even then she fell for him as a person for the most part….

Their relationship started out as infatuation, almost like a childish love, or just a simple liking of each other’s presense but now after chapter 13 I could say that they are starting to love each other……before chapter 13 they just really liked each other…

  22. Jen will be meeting Changsoo’s mom soon but then Yoonha is changing bit by bit….At first I was gonna have Yoonha be the endgame but I feel like at this point she is not…….

We are gonna have three couples hangout as good friends….Jen and Changie, Yoonha and Joongi, and Jiyi and Woomin….

  23. He’s a good man and a caring boyfriend. He values Jen’s family bc he knows they raised Jen well and that influenced the way she is, which he loves so much.

  24. Yep….Changie is not how he used to be…He us maturing and growing as a person…..

Also, him being well behaved at Jen’s house despite how he treated him….wouldn’t have been the old Changie…The old Changie would have said forget this I am leaving…..even though he wouldn’t have gotten as far as going to a girl’s house during those playboy years…

  25. We’re you able to sense how much Jen loves Changie and vise versa? The deep feelings for each other is coming through right?

At the beginning….both of their feelings were more of an infatuation without being completely obsessive about than what Yoonha had for Changie at the beginning of the story…..

  26. It was the perfect motive to justify Jen’s move. I guess Changie would advise her to talk it over with her family and leave on good terms, since he doesn’t want to be the reason for her breaking family ties.

  27. It was a stressful meeting for her and Changie. They needed to get out of that environment that was suffocating them. It was the best thing to prevent the situation from escalating further.

  28. They gave Changie a hard time. I think their intentions were good, but the way was rude and intrusive. Although he behaved like a gentleman. Jen was also left with a bitter taste, they couldn’t have a nice evening.

  29. Also, I managed to use the situation with her parents to have Jen strongly considering moving out of the house…..

I remember you were saying that since Jen is an independent girl she should get her own place before getting married to Changsoo so I thought Jen having some problems with her family over Changsoo could be a good excuse for Jen to move out of the house….

What do you think about that?

  32. I think Yoonha doesn’t have real friends, either. Hope Joongi could come close to her step by step. The first one would be gaining her trust and respect, then her friendship.

  33. We got to know a few details of Yoonha’s background story. To me, some of Chang Soo’s old ways reminded Yoonha of her own father. After all Mr Jang was also known for having many affairs. And Yoonha’s mother did nothing but reinforce that ideal of a man, since she continued by her husband’s side all these years despite the humiliations.
