Lil Jen was so confused as to why her parents are acting that way and she was able to piece things together but didn’t want to say it in front of Julia.

“Jen, let Julia sleep in your bed tonight and you can sleep with us okay?” Mama Hyojoo said while patting her on the head.

“Mommy, will Julia be okay by herself?” Jen asked in a concerned voice.

“You are right…maybe you should keep an eye on Julia tonight….” Mama Hyojoo said.

Julia seemed so confused. She was so quiet throughout all this but she decided to say something.

“When is my mom gonna be coming to get me?”

Hyojoo didn’t know what to do. She was so glad that Jen didn’t have to go through this but she felt so bad for Julia.

Papa Shikkie was still traumatized by everything that happened. Hyojoo thought about having Shikkie speak with a good psychiatrist, just in case he needs therapy.

“You take good care of Julia…okay? Mommy is gonna go take care of daddy now…”

Mama Hyojoo took Papa Shikkie over to their bedroom so she could put her husband to sleep, along with kitten Brina.

“Julia…come….let’s get some sleep….” Jen said to Julia. Jen grabbed Julia by the arm and took her to the bed.

“You can sleep on my bed with me … .there’s plenty for two people…my bed is big enough for two…” Said Jen smiling at Julia, trying to make her feel comfortable.

Papa Shikkie, Mama Hyojoo and Kitten Brina were sleeping in their master bedroom while Lil Jen and Julia were sleeping in her room tonight.

As Mama Hyojoo was petting Kitten Brina she decided to ask Shikkie something and this has been bothering her all day, after they came home from Jen’s school.

“Honey…..do you think we should try to put Mrs Kim in jail? I think she should pay the price for what she did but at the same time…when I think about her daughter Julia … .I don’t know what we should do.

“I don’t think she should go to jail but at least I think she should go get some psychiatric help…” Said Shikkie while sighing very heavily.

“Honey…sometimes I think you are too nice….I honestly think she should go to jail for sexual harassment and making you go through this post traumatic stress…but at the same time I feel sorry for that little girl Julia….I can’t believe Mrs Kim doesn’t even pay attention to her child while she is trying to wreck someone else’s happy family.”

“You think I’m too nice, dear?” Shikkie asked curiously.

“Yeah … .I think you are…honey…I think it’s good to be sweet and friendly but you shouldn’t be like that to everyone because some people don’t have the best intentions in mind…I worry about you honey…” Hyojoo said still concerned about the well being of her dear husband.

Shikkie was facing Hyojoo and they were cuddling each other to sleep. Shikkie felt so comforted by his wife and he felt soothed just by being in her arms at a time like this.

“Let’s sleep honey, we have a long day tomorrow…..”

Hyojoo wasn’t sure what to do with Julia….She thought maybe she could adopt her but she wasn’t sure because if they adopted her so suddenly it might mess with the little girl’s psyche so she decided to sleep on it and discuss it with her husband in the morning. 

In Lil Jen’s bedroom the two little girls were cuddling each other to sleep. The children were so tired that they fell asleep almost immediately as their heads hit the pillow.

Kitten Brina was in between Papa Shikkie and Mama Hyojoo. The happily married couple both petted the kitten while trying to get some shut eyes. Petting the kitten and the couple cuddling each other had double the effect in soothing them. So they were able to fall asleep comfortably despite the traumatic event that they all went through cus of some crazy lady that couldn’t control herself.

“Rise and Shine Kiddos!” Mama Hyojoo was the first one to get up. She went to get up  Lil Jen and Lil Julia. While papa Shikkie had a hard time getting up. His psyche was so tired and exhausted that he just wanted to sleep some more.

“Honey…it’s time to get up. We have to get ready for work and take the kids to school too.”

“Oh it’s already that time? I want to sleep more….”

“Honey, you still have to get up!” Hyojoo spanked Shikkie like as if he was a little boy.

“Okay…..” Shikkie said in a whiney voice. 

Hyojoo patted him on the head and gave him a good head rub before he went into the bathroom to get ready. Before going into the bathroom to wash up, he decided to wash up Lil Jen and Lil Julia cus it looked like Hyojoo hadn’t washed them yet.

“Okay, Jen, Julia … .Daddy will wash you up so you can be neat and tidy for school…”

Julia’s father left her at the age of five so she never knew the love of a father and all of a sudden she couldn’t help but to cry.

Shikkie wiped Julia’s tears away and said…

“Don’t worry Julia, this ajusshi will make sure that you will be okay….alright?” Uncle Shikkie patted lil Julia on the head to calm her down.

Julia couldn’t help but to smile at Shikkie. Julia was thinking to herself that she would be so happy if she had a daddy like him. Julia was a little jealous/envious of Lil Jen.

Julia hasn’t really said a word since they brought her here but she decided to open her mouth as Shikkie was helping her dry her face.

“Ajusshi…..I wish you were my daddy….” Julia said while crying.

Lil Jen didn’t mind having a sister like Julia…She really adores her despite having learning disabilities.

Shikkie was heartbroken. He really did not like Mrs Kim for everything she has done to him and his family but he couldn’t dislike this helpless child of hers either.

Shikkie was also entertaining the idea of adopting Julia if Mrs Kim is not able to take care of her for whatever reason. He also thought about having the authorities put Mrs Kim in some kind of mental hospital because he didn’t want more fathers to become victims of this kind of crime.

“All done, Julia..”

“Thank you, uncle Shikkie.” 

After Shikkie was done washing Julia up he went over to his little daughter and started to clean her up too.

“There you go my little princess….you are all clean now…” Shikkie said while smiling at his own daughter. Julia observed how Jen’s father was treating her and she couldn’t help but to be envious of her.

“Are you ready honey? We should get going now? Hyojoo said.

“So you want me to drive Lil Jen and Julia to school?”

‘No honey…..We are gonna do it together….” Hyojoo said.

One of the main electricians at the school turned himself in because he felt guilty of what he did. At the police station one of the main electricians told the authorities about everything that happened at the school and also about Mrs Kim who paid her to help her commit the act.

The electrician guy that was involved in this strange elevator incident brought some footage from the CCTV surveillance camera and the authorities at the police department checked it out and thought that Mrs Kim might need to be detained in jail or be checked into a mental institution at the very least. However, this all depends on what the victim decides to do or wants to do with the aggressor.

The Park family were all ready to go. Hyojoo didn’t have to be there at work as early as before, ever since she had a talk  with her boss so now they could both go   drop off Lil Jen, although in separate cars since they have to go their own way afterwards.

 Mrs Kim was being investigated for what she did and after the authorities checked out the footage from the surveillance camera they thought she would have to go to jail or to some sort of mental institution. Uee regretted everything she had done but it was too late now. She was able to come to her senses and started to worry about Julia. 

“Mrs.Kim, you have a choice…do you want to go to jail or to the mental hospital?” One of the authorities asked Uee.

“Is there a way I can apologize to Mr Park and his family?”

“No, I’m afraid not….It would be better for you to not make any kind of interaction with them…….”

“What about my daughter? I need my daughter back….”

“Well…..I think you should talk to your psychiatrist about that……We are gonna send you a referral to a specialized doctor to talk to you first then we’ll see what we should do about your kid……”

One of the head captains of the police squad told the lower rank officers to contact the school so they could get a hold of someone that would give them Mr Park’s contact information cus they won’t be able to go further with this case unless they speak with the direct victim of the case.

The local police department was able to reach someone from the school and managed to get Mr Park’s contact info so now they’re able to talk to him regarding what Mrs Kim did the other day.

The Park family got a quick bite to eat. Both Shikkie and Hyojoo went over to the school together to drop off Jen and Julia. However, Shikkie got a text from the school saying that the principal of the school wanted to have a chit chat with him.

“Good Morning, Mr Park and Mrs Park.” said the principal.

Both Jen and Julia were escorted to their classroom by the parents first before they headed to the principal’s office.

“Hello, Principal Choi..” said both of the parents.

“I heard everything that happened through the authorities from the police station. I am so sorry that you had to go through that Mr.Park. What Julia’s mother did was unacceptable…..However, both the school and the authorities at the police station can’t really make a decision regarding Mrs. Kim so it’s solely up to you, Mr Park…..” said the principal.

Hyojoo was patting Shikkie on the back and rubbing it to sooth him so that he would be able to make the right call. 

“Ms. Principal…..I was thinking……if Mrs Kim just goes to the mental institution to be treated. I don’t think she should go to jail at all……I think she seriously needs help, not condemned.”

“Mr. Park…I get your sentiment…I will let the police station know about your decision…” 

“What about Julia? What’s gonna happen to her?” Mr Park asked.

“Well, they were saying that you could be her guardian if her mother gives you the consent,” said the lady principal.

“I see…” Shikkie said.

Mr Park looked at his wife so he could get her approval.

“Can we take care of Julia until Mrs Kim is all better?”

“Yes…honey…..I am okay with that……”

Both Shikkie and Hyojoo told the principal that they just want Uee to be treated at the hospital and they are more than willing to take care of Julia until she is all better.

After Shikkie and Hyojoo left for work the principal spoke with the authorities and let them know that they are not gonna charge Mrs Kim and the electrician guy for what they did. Uee agreed to go get treated at the mental hospital and let Shikkie and Hyojoo take care of Julia for a while until she is all better. They decided to just have the electrician guy pay a fine for what he did.

Uee felt very thankful that Shikkie didn’t want her to go to jail. She would’ve been devastated about Julia. She couldn’t bear thinking about her child being alone while her mom is serving time.

Uee was being treated at the mental hospital and she was doing everything she was told to do so she could get well soon so she would be able to be the mother of Julia again.

Julia did not mind being taken care of by the Park family. She really loved Shikkie, Hyojoo, Lil Jen, and Kitten Brina as her family members but her favorite was Mr Park … … ..Dr Shikkie, Uncle Shikkie…..

 A few days have passed since Julia started living with the Parks, and one evening the whole family got together and had a little family night. 

Hyojoo, Shikkie, Lil Jen, Julia and Kitten Brina were sitting on the couch watching a disney movie together. They were watching the lion king together. 

Lil Jen was on Hyojoo’s lap and Julia and Kitten Brina were on Shikkie’s lap while enjoying the movie. Julia fell asleep and Hyojoo carried her to Lil Jen’s room. Hyojoo and Kitten Brina looked very tired as well. Hyojoo came back and carried Kitten Brina with her to bed. 

Finally, Lil Jen was able to be with her father alone again. She really missed her time alone with her daddy. Lil Jen hasn’t had a chance to just have her alone time with daddy because of this whole situation with Mrs Kim and Julia. 

Jen was so glad that she gets to spend some alone time with her favorite man, her papa.

“Come here…Lil sweetheart.” Daddy said.

“Okay…daddy….” Lil Jen said in a cute voice. 

Lil Jen practically ran over to her daddy and sat right on his lap. The movie was about to be over and as soon as the movie was over, her dad sang her the song from the movie, Hakunamata, in his best singing voice ever. Then once the movie was really over he shut it off with the remote control, then he started to tell Jen a story about how he met her mother and the song that made them bond.

“Lil Jen, sweetie…”

“Yeah, daddy….”

“You know the song your mother and I listened to when we got together was Confession…”

“Oh yeah daddy?”

“ Yes, that’s right! Your mother and I fell in love with each other so much that we had a little precious one like you….” Shikkie said while pinching Lil Jen’s nose.

“Awwww…daddy….”

Papa Shikkie patted Jen on the head as he was singing her a song. The song almost felt like a lullaby to Lil Jen that she instantaneously fell asleep. Then he carried her to her bed where Julia was sleeping.

“Goodnight sweetheart.” Daddy kissed his little daughter goodnight while looking into her eyes. 

Papa Shikkie joined his wife in bed with Kitten Brina too. Everyone was so tired from all that nonsense that they all slept like little babies. 

Some time has passed. It’s been three months since Mrs Kim ended up at the mental hospital. She was all cured and it was due to her diligence and tenacity that brought a miraculous healing. Uee has never been this well in a long time, she thanked the doctors and the community for helping her out. Also she was very thankful towards the Park family for looking after her daughter while she was being treated.

One afternoon Uee came to the school so she could thank the Park family properly and also to pick up her daughter. 

They were all in front of the school. Hyojoo, Shikkie, Lil Jen, and Julia were standing there in front of Uee.

Uee was so happy to see her daughter and she looked very healthy for once. She was healthy in mind, body and spirit. However, Julia got so used to living with the Parks that she didn’t want to go. Julia was hiding behind Shikkie.

“Daddy, I don’t want to go…” said Julia.

“Julia, listen…your mother loves you and misses you so you gotta go honey…” said Shikkie in his sweet and gentle voice.

Uee reached out to her daughter but was devastated that her daughter didn’t want to go with her but thankfully she was willing to listen to Shikkie.

“I really thank you for taking care of my little girl…Mr Park…and Mrs Park…and sorry Lil Jen for taking your time away from your daddy…….I know you are upset with me right?” Lil Jen didn’t really answer her question. She just felt really awkward towards her.

Uee leaned closer to pat little Jen on the head. She was uncomfortable with her coming closer to her but she decided to be modest just for the sake of Julia.

“I really appreciate you guys for everything, and I am so sorry for causing you so much harm….” said Uee feeling genuinely bad for the suffering she caused the Park family.

Hyojoo was very upset but she decided to be the better person and just forgive her. She was so glad that Mrs Kim got treated and is better now.

“You are not gonna do this to other handsome men right?” Hyojoo said jokingly and sarcastically.

“No…I learned my lesson…I don’t know what came over me…ever since Julia’s father left me…I think something happened to me…so sorry…oh and I am gonna send Julia to a different school so you won’t have to worry about me ever again…”

Uee bowed and grabbed her daughter’s hand.

“Let’s go Julia….”

“Mom…..Can I give uncle Shikkie a hug?”

“Yes….you may…..”

“Uncle Shikkie…I love you! So sorry for everything and also thank you!”

“No problem sweetheart…be good to your mother okay?” Shikkie patted Julia on the head just like he does for Lil Jen alot. Julia smiled and Uee started to be teary eyed.

“Julia…let’s go sweetie…”

“Mom…I want to give Auntie Hyojoo and Jen a hug too…”

“Thank you auntie Hyojoo, thank you Jen for always helping me at school…”

Julia gave Hyojoo and Jen a hug as well.

Julia was sad she won’t be able to see the Park family ever again since she is transferring to a new school.

“I am sorry Julia……” That was all Hyojoo could say to her.

“Hope you do well in your new school, Julia, take care……thanks for allowing me to be your friend.” Lil Jen said while holding Julia’s little hands.

“Let’s go now Julia….” Uee felt so bad that she just wanted to get her daughter and leave as soon as possible.

Finally, Uee managed to take Julia away from the Park family. Mrs Kim wiped her tears with her jacket sleeves and Julia was crying really loudly but she had to take her away from them. She knew it was gonna take time for her to adjust to her new environment.

The Park family felt relieved that this was all over. They both had to call work to let them know that they won’t be able to make it in today because of everything that happened to them. With Dr Shikkie it didn’t matter since he is the boss at the hospital but he still had to let his employees know. Hyojoo called her work and her boss gave her a paid day off for an emergency.

The three members of the Park household gave each other a hug and cried together.

“It’s all over now…..” Shikkie said but then Hyojoo was still worried. 

“Honey, I think you should still look into getting therapy for this……”

“Yeah … .but then maybe I might not even need that…I’m thinking about doing some meditation sessions through the internet. They say meditation helps as well so I’m gonna try that first.”

“Okay, Honey….whatever floats your boat….Let’s go hang out as a family today….”

“What about school, mommy? Classes aren’t over yet….”

“Your teacher and your principal gave us permission to get you out a little early today!”

“Yes! Where are we gonna go mommy?”

“Ummm Let’s go get pizza!”

“Yes Mommy! I love pizza!”

Both Hyojoo and Lil Jen looked at Shikkie’s face to get his approval….

“I’m fine with it! Let’s go!”

Little Jen was riding on Shikkie’s neck while using one of his hands to hold onto Hyojoo’s hand then walked over to their SUV to go head to a local pizza joint to have some family time together.

The Park family learned something from this incident with the crazy mother from Jen’s school. They learned that family needs to spend more time together, and also look out for each other in times of trouble. Support each other through difficult times and counsel each other instead of judging each other.
