I have one more chapter for Theater Company and I’m working on it right now. I happened to finish chapter one for Comedy Superhero so I decided to post this first. I was originally gonna post the finale for Theater Company first but I changed my mind. So here is the first chapter for Comedy superhero chapter 1…..
Jen finally is working on writing for Sikkie’s new tv show, Comedy Superhero. Jen has been so stressed out due to pressure from her new gig which made her have a very hilarious dream the other day. The silly dream consisted of all the characters that her fiance played over the years. It got so intense that Sikkie woke her up from that crazy fever dream.
Jen was sitting on her desk with her special laptop, her favorite mocha latte and her wildest imagination that could take her somewhere. She couldn’t snap out of that fever dream she had but that dream did give her some crazy ideas though. Jen needed to freshen up so she went to the bathroom to wet her face with cold water then she came back to the room.
As she was getting ready to type the screenplay she heard a sound and it was her dear Sikkie.
“Hi babe…”
Jen was surprised he came back home so soon. For some reason her man still made her heart beat like crazy. Sikkie took this job because supposedly there are no romantic elements to this show because it was gonna strictly be superhero and comedy genre.
“Hi oppa..”
Sikkie came over to Jen and kissed her on the head lightly.
“How’s your writing coming along?”
“It’s okay……I’m just torn between a few ideas that’s all.”
“Why are you torn?”
“It’s complicated……I don’t know if you should have a love interest or not … I kinda don’t want you to because of my insecurities but however I think if it makes the story good…..I think I should let you have that…” Jen sighed because she was really torn between the two ideas.
“You don’t have to worry sweetie because if you don’t want me to not have a love interest it will have to be that…I don’t want to worry you, ya know….”
“But I don’t want to be selfish and ruin your career either because I don’t want to be evaluated as someone that ruined Park Hyungsik’s career…..I don’t think I could live with that…”
“But I worry about you feeling secure more than anything…”
“Well, I gotta learn how to trust you but it’s hard when you are such a good looking actor….”
Shikkie patted Jen on the head like he usually does to comfort her……
“Come here…”
Shikkie held Jen into his arms…..
“I know it’s hard to be with a guy like me…when I’m a public figure…sharing me with the whole world isn’t easy and also me being so good looking can give any girl insecurities…” Shikkie giggled while pinching Jen’s cheeks.
“Thanks for understanding me oppa….” As Jen was about to give her man a kiss she got a few text messages at the same time. One was from the Comedy Superhero team and the other one was from Brina in Argentina.
“Hello, Jen….We are so happy that you are part of the Comedy Superhero team. We hired a girl to be Shikkie’s love interest for the movie…We thought about it and everyone said in unison that it would be better if he had a female romance partner. Thanks Jen, hopefully you will write a script to make this happen”- Love Comedy Superhero Team.
Jen felt like the text message answered her question but she had a strange knot in her tummy and by her facial expressions, Shikkie was starting to look concerned.
“What is it Jen?”
“Oh…nothing….I don’t feel like talking about it right now.”
Shikkie couldn’t help but to be worried about it. He wanted to communicate with her but it seemed like Jen was too caught up in her own world to do that.
Jen had another text and it was from Brina in Argentina. Seojoon was there as well.
“Hey, Chica…..I am doing good, I hope you are too…Oh by the way…I want to let you know that you have no competition now……I am all over Shikkie and…..Seojoon is being a great support over here…that’s all I’m gonna say…It’s hot over where u are at yes? As you know, I am in the southern hemisphere so it’s winter time here…..well I will message you again…..bye!”
Jen was sighing and deep in thought. So much has happened since that trip that they took. She couldn’t help but to just stare into the screen and Shikkie wanted to see what it was.
“Can I see it Jen? What is it?”
“No oppa…it’s nothing…..” Jen got out of bed and went for a little walk and Shikkie had a hard time understanding what was going on, he felt like her behavior was a little strange.
Jen had no clue that Brina had a thing for Shikkie and Brina telling her about the fact that she had a crush on Shikkie via text was a little too much. She had to clear her head for a bit. Jen asked herself…Seojoon being a big supporter and he is in Argentina with her…what does that even mean?
Jen went to the playground that she went to before when she and Shikkie were working out their feelings….She has no regrets becoming Shikkie’s girl but she is just a little taken aback by the text she just got…not the one from The Comedy Superhero team but from Brina back in Argentina.
Jen sat on the swings just thinking about everything that happened. Now everything started to make sense. Brina leaving the campsite early, and her crying then Seojoon going after her made a lot of sense.
Shikkie was really bothered and he was a little upset because he felt like Jen was hiding something from him. Shikkie was also worried for her because she just took off without telling him where she was going. This reminded him of that one night when she went to the park/the playground. Shikkie thought about going to the park to look for her and he did. He put on some clothes and headed out to see if his girlfriend was at the neighborhood playground.
Jen was riding on the swing, thinking about this and that so that’s why she couldn’t even hear her boyfriend calling out her name.
“JEN!”
“Oh hey….oppa…” Jen said sweetly. Shikkie really loves it when Jen calls him that.
“What are you doing here?”
“Oh…I’m just…..thinking….”
“It’s cold baby…you should put this on…let’s go back home…..If you are gonna be doing something thinking, just do it at home…” Shikkie was worried that his girlfriend might catch a cold. Even though it’s summertime, being out so late can make someone get sick.
Shikkie put his hoodies on Jen.
“You should wear this……it’ll keep you warm…let’s go…” Shikkie grabbed Jen’s hand and so they could walk home together.
Shikkie and Jen held hands and headed home.
“What is bothering you Jen?” Shikkie wanted to know and he wanted to find out. He is a scorpio and Scorpios are kinda like detectives where they need to solve mysteries surrounding them.
Jen didn’t want to upset him by keeping things from him, knowing that he is a scorpio…she decided to come clean about it.
Shikkie and Jen were walking hand in hand while enjoying the cool summer night breeze. Jen took a deep sigh and decided to share what she’s been thinking about for the last hour.
Jen wasn’t sure what to share first…the news about the Comedy Superhero team hiring a female counterpart for the show or about Brina having a crush on him before she left to go back home to Argentina.
The two were still walking and they were almost home. Jen was quite just walking with her boyfriend hand in hand until they got to the house. Jen decided to sit outside on the bench of their apartment front porch/balcony…..Shikkie sat right next to her just observing her behavior and action.
Jen took a deep sigh and decided to just tell him everything.
“Well…..you know……I think you should be happy that you have a female counterpart for Comedy Superhero…and I have to write as such whether I like it or not cus the producers wanted it that way…..they texted me earlier before I headed out….”
“Oh and are you okay with that?”
“Yeah … .I kinda thought that this could actually be better for the show … .when you watch a lot of heroic films there are female counterparts to enhance the story ya know…..So I don’t blame them for wanting a female character to bounce off of the main character which is you…”
Shikkie nodded because he felt like there was some truth to what Jen was saying.
“What about the other text, what was that about?” Shikkie asked curiously. He wanted to know everything.
“Hmmmmm … .the other was…..” Jen had a hard time saying this one…..The news about the Comedy Superhero was a lot easier for her to tell him.
Jen was taking her time opening up to her man about the other thing.
“Okay…..I know this will surprise you a bit but……the other thing was about you and Brina…”
“What do you mean?” Shikkie was confused.
“Brina….she had a crush on you and she told me via text that she is over you now…”
Shikkie was very surprised that Brina had a thing for him. He didn’t know what to think. He was able to put two and two together….He thought about the trip and he was able to piece together everything that happened at the trip and afterwards.
“Sabrina had a thing for me?”
“Apparently, she did…… .I had a strange feeling but never confirmed it cus I did not want to pry into her business..”
“Well……does it bother you that she did?”
“Hmmmmmm a little but then it seems like she is over you and she is spending a lot of time with Seojoon oppa anyways…”
“Oh…so that’s why Seojoon Hyung was acting that way back at the campsite.” Shikkie said as if he is finally realizing something by looking back to what happened when they all went on a road trip together.
Right now Jen did not want to worry about anything, she was more worried about being able to write something good for the new show that she is gonna be writing for.
Jen and Shikkie both were home now, it was just them two alone. Peakboy moved out after he got married, Seojoon is in Argentina now with Brina, Taehyung is in a new rom-com drama that’s taking the world by storm, and Wooshik is in a sci-fi film that’s taking the world by storm. But Jen and Shikkie are gonna be working together as a team in this new show called Comedy Superhero.
Jen is the writer and Shikkie is the male for this show. Jen was a little tired so she decided to lay down on the bed. She was breathing a little hard and while she was thinking about something again Shikkie joined her in bed.
“Why are you sighing like that? I thought all your worries disappeared after we talked about everything at the park…”
“I am kinda curious……to who your female counterpart would be….”
