Mama Hyojoo went to the boss’s office to speak with her. She had a lady boss, she was fair but also very demanding. Mama Hyojoo always looked up to her boss because she wanted to be like her someday. A woman in a leading position always tickled her fancy.

Mama Hyojoo went over to Ms Lee, her boss to talk about her unique situation so that way she won’t have to stay so late with Jina Kim to work on projects together really late and also having to come really early has been a problem for her as well because of the problems their family has been facing lately.

Hyojoo was nervous because she didn’t know what her boss was going to say about her appeal. Hyojoo took a deep breath and went over to talk to her boss.

*Knock Knock*

“Come in.” said the boss in a serious tone of voice.

“Hello, Ms. Lee…I have something to ask you.”

“Sure, what brings you to me at this hour?”

This boss was no bullshit. She was all strictly business and very matter of fact so Hyojoo felt a little intimidated but she had to bite the bullet and talk to her because she has a family to save.

“Ask away, what is it Ms Han?”

“We have a family crisis……and I am not able to come in so early because I have to take my child to school……”

Hyojoo was gonna continue on but Ms Lee cut her off while giving her the curt face.

“What about your husband…..Can’t he take on the responsibility?”

“Well…he was able to but there is a special situation so he is not able to do that right now…so I have to take on the duty to pick up my child and back from school … .so I was wondering if I could take on that responsibility temporarily……” Hyojoo looked desperate and nervous and she was hoping that her boss would hear her request. 

“Ms. Han … .you seem very sincere about your request so I will give you the green light and let you take on that responsibility as a mother. However…..We have to negotiate about today though……You can leave at 4 because I have to find another assistant professor who could help out Jina Kim.

“Okay…that’s good enough……I appreciate you Ms Lee…”

Hyojoo was thankful that she gets to leave at her normal time but then it wasn’t early enough to go pick up Jen on time. She texted her husband to let him know.

“Honey…I think you might have to pick up Jen today……I am still able to get off at my normal time … .I need you to go to Jen’s school first, and I will catch up with you. I will be there as soon as I can…”

Hyojoo sounded desperate, nervous and scared even via text. Shikkie received her text and was able to feel her desperation. He felt like everything was his fault for not being man enough to handle a crazy woman like Uee or rather Mrs. Kim.

“Okay babe, don’t worry I will go pick up Jen and I will see you at her school as soon as you are able to make it there…”

Hyojoo told Jina everything that happened and Jina told Hyojoo the realities of our society while they were on break at the lunchroom.

“So she did that?!” Jina was shocked but wasn’t at the same time….

“Yeah…I’m so scared Jina…I never realized what you told me could happen to our family…I think I was too confident that something like this wouldn’t happen to us…” Hyojoo said with her hands on her mouth.

“Like I told you before, there are women like that, women that are willing to break up families and even they would  risk their own family to do that.”

Hyojoo never realized that this society has such problems to the point it’s harder for modern families to raise their children in a safe environment.

Hyojoo couldn’t help but to tear up because her family is everything to her. She loves her husband and her little girl. She always dreamed about a happy family but for someone to try to take that away not only made her sad but angry.

“I know you’ll be able to protect your family Hyojoo…You are a great wife, a great mother, a great friend, a great professor and most of all you are an awesome human being…I know you will pull through…hang in there…” Jina patted Hyojoo on the shoulder to let her know that she has a support system in these rather challenging times.

Hyojoo felt better that she had someone who she is able to talk to without being judged and this is what she liked about Jina. 

Meanwhile, Mrs.Kim has nothing better to do. She already seduced the electrician to cut the power off for the elevator of the school, she got one of the main electricians to agree to cut it off at the right time as well. However, right now is not the time….She gave him the estimated time to do it. The timing had to be just right otherwise the plan would actually backfire on Uee.

Hyojoo went back to her classroom to finish the rest of the day teaching but she was having a hard time concentrating because of her husband and her little daughter. 

Dr Park was in his office checking out his patients, just keeping himself busy until it’s time to go pick up his kid.

Both Hyojoo and Shikkie couldn’t wait till it’s time for them to go because they were feeling so antsy that they both couldn’t concentrate on their work.

Lil Jen was just listening to the lecture of her teacher. She was certainly learning a lot but then this smart little girl had no idea that Julia’s mother was planning a crazy stunt to hurt her dad. Julia was a troubled child. Julia’s mother is divorced and unstable so it was really hard on this somewhat disabled child.

Uee was very nervous because she even knows that if something goes wrong like the timing then everything will backfire on her. 

Finally papa Shikkie was off and he went over to the school to pick her daughter up. Jen had to stay later than usual because her teacher asked her to tutor Julia with her math problems. Julia had a learning disability to the point where she couldn’t solve basic arithmetic problems.

Shikkie was heading over to Jen’s classroom to pick her up. Jen’s elementary school is fairly big. The school is 7 stories and since Jen is in the third grade her classroom was on the third floor. Shikkie takes the elevator most of the time to go up to her classroom and today was no different than all the other days. 

Mr Park went into the elevator from the first floor to get to the third floor where her daughter is right now and as soon as he got on and the door closed he felt something strange. He turned around and there was Uee.

“Mrs.Kim … .what are you….” Shikkie was so in shock that he lost his train of thoughts and what words to say. 

“Don’t worry…everything will be fine….” said Uee.

Then all of a sudden Papa Shikkie heard the noise going….

“Clank…”

And the elevator stopped and as Mrs.Kim heard the elevator stop she went closer and closer to Shikkie so she could go closer and closer to Shikkie again.

He wanted to tell her not to come close but he just couldn’t bring himself to tell her so it was already too late. She already grabbed him by the shoulders to kiss him but she couldn’t because Shikkie would fight back.

“Why don’t you want to kiss me? You don’t think I’m sexy? Don’t you think I am sexier than your wife? Look at me…I am wearing this short skirt, tight top and high heels for you..!”

“I am not attracted to you, you crazy woman!” Finally Shikkie said what he’s been wanting to say for awhile now.

Shikkie didn’t want to lay a hand on a woman. He is a firm believer of women being treated with respect but he really didn’t see Mrs.Kim as a woman….he saw her as a monster more than anything.

Jen was done tutoring Julia. They were both waiting for their parents to pick them up. Hyojoo was driving as fast as she could without going over the speed limit. She felt something weird in her stomach. Hyojoo is a bit of an empath so she had this weird psychic ability so she sensed that her husband was in danger and also her little child. 

Finally Hyojoo got to the school. She ran as fast as she could cus she knew that something happened to her husband. Mama Hyojoo was able to feel it in her gut that her dear husband is in danger. Her psychic instincts were telling her to go  talk to the person who is in charge of the elevator. 

“Sir, are you in charge here?”

“Yes ma’am….what can I do for you?”

“Sir…you need to help me….my husband…he might be stuck in the elevator…”

“What do you mean ma’am?”

“It’s exactly what you heard sir…you gotta hurry…”

“But the lady….I think it was Mrs. Kim…she said she needs to save her man!”

“Her man? Are you crazy? Did she give you something? Like money?”

“Yeah…..a large sum too….and I needed the extra cash so I fell for it…”

“How could you say that? How could you say that so shamelessly…! Now! Turn the power back on for the elevator! Now!”

“Yes madam!”

The electrician man who was one of the men in charge operating the elevator had no choice but to get the power back up running again.

“Clank!”

As Shikkie was trying to fight his way out of being kissed by this crazy lady they both heard the sound. It was the sound of the elevator turning back on again. Shikkie didn’t want to show how happy he was so he just remained calm. He has long arms so he was gonna open the elevator door but Hyojoo beat him to it.

As the elevator door opened Shikkie saw his wife and Uee knew that she was gonna be in trouble.

Shikki ran to his wife and hugged her while crying.

Hyojoo patted Shikkie on the back and comforted him.

“I’m here honey…..I’m here you are okay…” Hyojoo comforted her husband as if he was a little baby.

“Honey…I need you to get away from here…take the stairs up to the third floor and get Jen…I need a moment with this woman.”

Hyojoo wasn’t playing. She looked like she was about to do something and it made Shikkie nervous but she did what she was told. 

“Okay, dear…I will go and get Jen…”

The electrician knew that he screwed up. He couldn’t bear to face Shikkie in the face.

“I’m going to have to call the cops on you…..” 

“You won’t be able to lock me up!”

“Yes, I can! We have proof….!” 

“How?”

“We recorded you with the surveillance camera….”

Hyojoo made sure to have the electrician man give her the usb with the recordings of this incident. 

“For one, the school has a surveillance camera…I’m sure you weren’t that dumb enough to not know that right?”

Hyojoo looked at Uee straight in the eyes, showing signs of intimidation.

Uee was flinching because she was intimidated and scared by Hyojoo. Hyojoo’s body language, gestures, her eyes, and the way she spoke scared Uee. It’s not like she was using violence against her but the way she came off was a one intimidating mama bear who is there to protect her family … .both her child and husband.

“I didn’t have to pay the man to give me all the info like what you did…I just gave him these eyes…”

“I’m sorry…I am so sorry!” Uee said scared.

“No … .that’s not gonna cut it…..Listen, you traumatized my husband and he is gonna be scarred for life cus of this…..so you need to go to jail for trying to hurt my husband! For one he is a loving man, he is a family man who cares about me and our little child but you tried to destroy that…and plus you have your own child that you need to look after but you tried to seduce my husband?!”

“I told you I’m sorry!” Uee cried and tried to run away from the scene but before she could do that the cops came. The electrician man called the cops and he made sure to have the footage from the surveillance camera ready to prove that this woman tried to do something to Dr Park.

“Mrs. Kim, You need to come with us…” said the two police officers that came to deal with the incident. They handcuffed her and took her away. Mrs. Kim tried to fight her way out of the situation but she couldn’t cus she was too weak to handle the two strong police officers. 

Hyojoo saw Uee being taken away by the law enforcement but she knelt down and cried. She couldn’t really ride the elevator after this so she decided to take the stairs to get to Lil Jen’s classroom. She was hoping that her husband got there safely.

“I am so sorry, Ma’am,” The electrician said.

“No..it’s alright..” Hyojoo said with a shaking voice.

“I didn’t know that she was that kind of a woman….”

“No it’s okay…it’s all over now…..I want to go see my husband..”

“You need some help?”

“No, I can go on my own…”

Hyojoo managed to walk up the stairs to the third floor. She walked as fast as she could so she would be able to see her family.

She saw her husband just hugging little Jen.

“Daddy, are you okay?” Jen asked and Julia was sitting next to her waiting for her mother.

“I’m okay sweetheart.”

Papa Shikkie was crying and in the corner of his eyes while he was trying to wipe off his tears, he saw his wife standing there.

Hyojoo ran towards her husband and her little girl.

“I am so glad you are okay!” Hyoojoo said to Shikkie.

“Mommy, did something happen to daddy?” Lil Jen asked because she was confused as to why her daddy was acting this way.

“It’s okay baby…your daddy is fine…” Mama Hyojoo said, crying. She felt like Lil Jen didn’t have to know about any of this. She felt her little girl was too young to know about this stuff so she decided not to tell her about it.

Hyojoo saw Lil Jen’s classmate Julia and she felt bad for the kid. She decided to be nice to her and take her home with them for the time being until they decided exactly what to do with Uee.

“Your mother is not well right now…..so you can stay with us until she feels better okay?”

Hyojoo didn’t want to say anymore because she felt that all this needs to be confidential around the children at least.

Shikkie was still traumatized for what happened today and ever since Uee laid eyes on him the trouble began but today was what really made things worse. He thought that he was gonna be trapped in there with that scary woman but thankfully his wife came to the rescue.

He hugged his wife and said,

“I love you dear….I don’t know how I could live without you…” Shikkie couldn’t help but hug Hyojoo tight and didn’t want to let her go.

“Honey…we have to go now…..the kids look really tired.”

“Okay…dear….”

“Lets go kiddos…” said Hyojoo.

They finally got home and Kitten Brina was there to welcome them but the baby kitten looked very irritable today and perhaps her six sense was telling her that something bad happened to her daddy.

“Meow!” The kitten meowed a  little violently and she started to cry.

Shikkie picked up Kitten Brina and held her as he walked over to the couch, still traumatized about the earlier event.

Hyojoo was pissed off at Uee but she was also mad at that electrician. She was thinking about what she should do about him but at the same time she wasn’t sure cus she didn’t want him to lose his job cus of this. However, she felt like he played a big part in this happening to her husband.

Hyojoo went into the bedroom to talk to someone in charge at the police station to tell them to give Julia’s mother a message that she’s gonna take care of her until things get settled over there with the law enforcement.

Hyojoo hugged little Jen and also Uee’s daughter Julia.

“Julia … .don’t worry, we will take you to your mother once she feels better, okay?”
