Jet got home and the mom started asking her bunch of questions and so was her sister. The dad was reading his newspaper in his bedroom like usual so he had no idea that Jen even came home.
“Who was that young man? We saw everything sweetie.” The mom kept on giving Jen the look saying that she saw everything even if Jen is trying her best to play dumb.
“What young man?” Jen tried to play dumb but didn’t work.
“I saw what you did through the window. I wasn’t trying to peep but I heard some noise and I wanted to see what it was but I saw you and that man kissing instead…” Jen’s mom said kinda teasingly. Jen’s mom was not upset or anything, she just wanted to find out who this guy was.
Jen’s sister had a good feeling who it was…
“Don’t tell me…you are not dating that womanizer are you?”
“Womanizer?”
“Yup….I’m talking about Director Yoo…from your company….”
“Oh sis….that’s all in the past though…he is not a womanizer anymore…”
“You are in love…..defending him…..” said Jen’s sister teasingly.
“But…how do you guys even know that the man I kissed was my boss?”
“Mom knows what he looks like…he is a public figure so everybody knows him…and besides he was in the papers a lot during his so-called womanizing days…” Jen’s sister started to make faces while rolling her eyes.
“Sis, it’s nothing like that……but you two are right….I like Director Yoo and we are sorta seeing each other….”
“Sorta? What do you mean sorta? It’s either you are seeing him or not seeing him, there’s no such thing as a sorta ….”
Meanwhile, Changsoo was in his room on his bed, he felt like he could get a good night’s sleep tonight. He already got a shower and he is certainly not going anywhere since he already took a nice warm shower. As he was trying to catch some ZZZZZZs, his mother came to bother him.
“Changsoo ya, my dear…..where were you all evening? I tried texting you honey but no replies…You are pretty good about that so I’m wondering what’s going on with you…”
Changsoo was a bit of a mama’s boy, he is the Yoo family’s favorite son. They have three sons and Changsoo is their favorite so they always want to know everything about their youngest boy.
“Mom…I’m tired, can we talk tomorrow?”
“Okay….I will let you sleep…but wait…have you had dinner yet?”
“Yes…mother….I want to sleep!”
“Okay … .I will leave you alone my boy … .dream of your mother…”
“Okay Okay…”
Changsoo was so happy that he finally made Jen his girl…..he decided to text her.
“Are you okay? I miss you…….I wanted to text you good night before bed…”
Changsoo was all smiles. He hasn’t been in such a good mood like this in a long time, it was more like he never had a genuine feeling of happiness before.
Jen barely managed to get into her bedroom for privacy after all those questions being asked by her mom and sister. She needed to wash up real quick before bed but she couldn’t do that right away since she got a text message. Jen was smiling too, she couldn’t forget about the kiss he gave her earlier. Her whole body was tingling and she wished that he was right next to her and hugging her right now.
“I miss you too Changsoo ssi……I’m gonna go wash up and get ready for bed…..I will see you at work……”
Jen said shyly. Her whole face was blushing but Changsoo wasn’t able to see that but he has psychic powers that she doesn’t know about….
“I know you are blushing over there babe….”
“How do you know that? You can’t see me..”
“I just can tell babe….”
Jen felt even more embarrassed cus she had nowhere to hide … ..all she was able to do was just accept it….
“Alright Changsoo ssi, you win…but I have to go to bed…..it’s getting late … .and I’m getting sleepy … .I’ll see you at work tomorrow…”
“Goodnight babe,,,” Changsoo said smiling on the other end.
Jen washed up and she went straight to bed…She was so happy to see him tomorrow at work but then at the same time she was embarrassed to face him.
NEXT DAY AT YUMIN CORP
Jen was sitting at her desk making sure all the files and documents were taken care of. Jen tried her best to just focus on work instead of her man.
“Babe….you look sexy today….” Changsoo said in his flirtatious voice.
“Changsoo ssi, this is work…I mean, director Yoo…..we are at work right now…..and besides I don’t want people to know that we are together yet…”
“How would they not know when a good amount of people saw what we did at the restaurant and the Karaoke bar last night? You were sitting on my lap as well….remember?” Changsoo winked.
AT TAEJIN GROUP
Yoonha was in her office taking care of some important documents as usual but she got a text.
“What is this? Who would text me so early?” she said to herself.
“Unnie….I have to tell you something….I think your Changsoo is seeing someone…….I saw this girl all over him last night……I was invited to go to this welcoming party for the new girl Jen….well I saw her even sitting on his lap….just letting you know…”
Yoonha was so pissed off and had a hard time controlling herself.
“So this is the girl huh? She was able to wag her tail and lure my Changsoo into her lowly middle class world? I will show her!”
Yoonha was determined to take Changsoo away from the lowly middle class girl Jen. She had a great idea and that was going over to Changsoo’s mother and also getting a position at Yumin Corp herself. She was thinking about getting a position as Changsoo’s secretary once but she knows that position is no longer available.
Yoonha was still in her office. She was sitting on her chair with her legs crossed super determined, and made a call to Changsoo’s mother.
“Hello, mother…”
“Oh…Yoonha…it is so nice to hear from you….what is it……?”
“Oh mother….I don’t know if you have been hearing rumors going on around here lately….”
“What rumors..?
“You know? That new intern girl?” Yoonha said while rolling her eyes.
“Oh I heard about that intern girl…I heard that she is a very capable young woman….”
“She is a capable young woman for sure but there is something you need to know, mother…”
“And what is that?”
“She is seeing your son….mother….”
“What? How did she manage to do that?”
“I don’t know mother but that’s what I’ve been hearing….”
“Don’t worry, he is probably seeing her casually….you know him…..his relationships don’t last no more than a week…She is probably nothing but his plaything…when he is done with her…..My Changsoo will just throw her away like an old shoe…..”
“Are you sure mother? You really think that?”
“Of course, sweetie…Just trust me…..I will make sure that he goes to you…”
For now Changsoo’s mom is so determined to get Jen off Changsoo’s back but she has no idea who she is dealing with.
Meanwhile, Jen was able to manage to focus on her work, she doesn’t have a super professional reputation for nothing but her boss was constantly staring at her.
“What?” Jen decided to act all nonchalant about it.
“Oh nothing….how is everything coming along?”
“I have so much data to analyze but it’s coming along.”
Changsoo had to give Jen proper credit where it’s due because most of the personal secretaries that worked for him didn’t last too long because they didn’t even know how to take care of basic things, they didn’t know how to analyze data and do financial reports. However, Jen was able to take care of it without too much problem. He is shocked that she didn’t get hired as someone higher than an intern to start with. He is so glad that he hired her as his personal secretary and assistant.
Once Jen was done with the papers she handed them over to Changsoo.
“Here, Director Yoo…” Jen smiled as she was handing over the papers. Jen decided to address him formally at work just to remain her professional attitude. Changsoo wanted to say something but he realized that she was trying to maintain her clean and professional image which he didn’t want to ruin.
Changsoo’s mom made up her mind to first have a heart to heart conversation with Changsoo and then see about meeting Jen, this troublesome intern girl, although she is no longer an intern.
“That little wench, how dare she wag her tail and lure my boy into her lowly middle class world? Hmph!”
Changsoo’s brothers are Changsoo’s rivals. They are all fighting over the inheritance and they wanted to be in charge of the company at the end of the day. Both of Changsoo’s older brothers know that he is the favorite son in the family so both of his brothers had some sort of strange inferiority complex about Changsoo. The funny thing is both of Changsoo’s older brothers are pretty incompetent about the businessworld. Even though on the surface Changsoo looks like a dingbat and stupid but he really isn’t. His brothers used to love it when he used to go play around with the girls so this way their father can just give up on their favorite son.
Lately, Changsoo’s family noticed that there was something different about him. A lot of people were against Changsoo becoming the director of Yumin group by a lot of the board members because he is not only young but they felt like he was incompetent to help lead the company. Also his womanizing ways didn’t help but because that gives a negative image to the company.
Changsoo used to have late evening after parties at his office with a bunch of girls in the past but he doesn’t do that anymore and he is more focused with company matters more than anything now. The board of members are starting to have new respect for him while his brothers feel nervous about Changsoo shaping up and becoming his own man.
Changsoo was busy analyzing some reports and Jen was making sure that Changsoo’s schedules are all up to date. She made sure to check the date and time for his meetings,and other schedules so he would be more punctual than he used to be. As Jen was busy working on these things, Changsoo’s mother showed up all of a sudden.
“Oh, mom…what brings you here this afternoon?”
“I want to have a chit chat with you and I want to see how your new personal secretary is doing…..”
Jen got up right away and greeted Changsoo’s mom with the utmost respect.
“Hello there ma’am….my name is Jen Park and I am your son’s new personal secretary.
“Oh, so you are that Miss Park that I have been hearing about…..I heard that you have a very good work ethic.” said Changsoo’s mother with her evil grin.
“Mom, please don’t ask too many questions….” Changsoo said in the fear of his love being interrogated unnecessarily by his mother.
Jen sat herself down with poise and manner. Changsoo’s mother didn’t want to admit it but she liked the fact that she was confident, poignant, well mannered and dignified. However, she was gonna still let her know about what they have in store for Changsoo.
“Miss Park, I need to let you know that we have big plans for our Changsoo. We have a lot to look forward to with him. His father really adores him and so do I. We are planning to have him meet Yoonha from Taejin group. Taejin is what Yumin needs….you catch my drift right? You are a smart young lady so I don’t have to fill in the details for you to understand what I mean right?” Changsoo’s mom made that snarky facial expression towards Jen and this made Changsoo really mad.
“Mom….please get out of my office.”
“What did you say? How dare you talk to your mother like that? Are you defending her?”
“No Director Yoo…you shouldn’t do that and Madam…..Don’t worry I understand your sentiment. I am here to just work hard and be an asset to the company, that’s all I’m interested in.”
“Do you mean that?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Changsoo’s mom liked how she was professional no matter what her ulterior motives may be.
“Would you like some tea, Mrs. Yoo?”
“No, thank you…I better get going….thanks for the offer…Changsoo ya, let’s talk more at home okay….Mommy belongs to you right?”
“Yes…mother I belong to you…” Changsoo gave his mother a peck on the cheek and she headed out of his office.
Meanwhile, Yoonha found out from some of her spies she’s planted at Yumin Corp that Joongi needs a personal secretary due to Jen being gone and she thought maybe she should work as Joongi’s secretary since the post for being Changsoo’s personal assistant is taken already.
Words travel fast in these kinds of places, Joongi already found out that Yoonha will be his secretary as of Monday. Yoonha has connections so she can bypass a lot of the steps that most others are not able to.
