Jen is a very adorable child but she is not only cute but she is very intelligent compared to most of her peers. Jen is already showing leadership skills at her school. By this point she is in the 3rd grade, her peers follow her because she is not only friendly but she is willing to put her foot down when she needs to. 

Jen has few friends in the class who are living with divorced mothers. In class all the students in the class had to perform in front of the other children and the teacher told them to bring at least one of their parents with them. Originally, Mama Hyojoo was gonna come but she got called in to fill in for another professor who couldn’t make it and because of this Daddy Sikkie had to come in her stead. 

Daddy Sikkie did not mind since he loves being around his little girl and doing everything with her and that includes coming to her school for an event like this. 

All the parents of the students were standing in the back of the classroom, watching their children perform but there was one problem….it was Daddy Shikkie…He stood out like a sore thumb because he is so tall and so handsome.

There were two divorced mothers of these two young students who were checking out Daddy Shikkie…..Especially one of them was very into him and even obsessed with him so she decided to have a little chit chat with him, using Lil Jen as a bait. 

“Is Jen your little girl?” Uee asked.

“Yes, she is…” Daddy Shikkie smiled. He smiled so big when it came to the apple of his eye because he loved her and adored her so much.

“Your little girl Jen is such a bright child. My daughter tells me about her all the time. My daughter is not very smart academically but she tells me that Jen always helps her…..I bet she takes after you right?” Uee smiled again.

“Oh no…not me … ..most certainly not…..I didn’t do too good in school…My grades weren’t terrible but they weren’t good either…..Jen does take after her mother though.” Daddy Shikkie giggled while rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. Daddy Shikkie seemed very friendly so Uee took his friendliness the wrong way.

Uee found this young father to be cute, she was wishing that he was divorced too but from what he was telling her he still seems to be happily married to Lil Jen’s mother.

Uee began to wonder who Jen’s mother is or rather who his wife is. Mama Hyojoo is a professor at a very well known university in the city, she is a very well respected woman in town. 

“Would you like to have tea with me once the kids are done?”

“Oh no, I can’t….I have to take my daughter to go see her mom…”

The little event with all the little students was over and Jen ran over to her dad.

“Daddy!”

“Oh, sweetie…”

“You did well…you are gonna be a star one day!” 

“No Daddy, I don’t want to be a celebrity…I want to be a doctor like you when I grow up!”

Daddy Shikkie gave Lil Jen a kiss on the cheeks and Uee, a young divorced mother, found this guy to be handsome but also reliable.

“Daddy, I miss mommy…” said Lil Jen.

Daddy Shikkie kneeled down to her level and looked his daughter sweetly in the eyes and said, “We are gonna go see her right now….okay, honey?”

“Yay! I want to see mommy!” Jen kept on repeating herself. Her mama Hyojoo wasn’t as lenient as her dad and nor does she spoil her like crazy but she really loves her mom. Lil Jen and mama Hyojoo get along super well despite the fact that she’s not as easy going as her daddy Shikkie.

“I am sorry…Mrs….” 

“Mrs.Kim…”

“Yeah….I better get going because I need to take my daughter to see her mother…….”

Little Jen felt very uncomfortable towards Mrs. Kim…..

“Daddy, let’s go…” Jen grabbed her dad’s hand to take him away from the woman that’s making her feel uncomfortable. Jen actually does like Mrs. Kim’s daughter…they are friends but she feels a strange air going on around that woman.

Jen is really smart and pretty street smart for her age too.

Mrs.Kim couldn’t stop thinking about Mr. Park. But daddy Shikkie felt just as uncomfortable as Jen was with her.

Daddy Shikkie and Little Jen managed to get out of the school premise and got on the SUV to go to Mama Hyojoo’s workplace.

“Daddy, what were you talking about with Mrs. Kim?”

“Oh…it’s not really anything…don’t worry….”

Daddy Shikkie realized that maybe starting from now on Mama Hyojoo should start going to Little Jen’s school if necessary. But that’s not a guarantee because sometimes things could come up at work. Jen’s father really did not feel comfortable around that mother.

“Don’t worry about it sweetie….Let’s go see your mother okay?” 

“Okay, daddy…”

Jen smiled and was happy to see her mom. They both finally got to the university. 

“Honey…we are here….” Daddy Shikkie called Mama Hyojoo letting her know that they are at the university premise.

“I’ll be right there dear…” said Hyojoo.

Shikkie and Hyojoo gave each other a hug and gave each other a big peck on the lips.

“How’s work?”

“Very busy …one of the professors in my department has not been feeling well so I had to fill in for him…..how was Jen’s event?”

“It went well….it was a success…”

All of a sudden Shikkie’s face turned red. He was very nervous about that woman and it made his face turn red.

“Honey…your face is red…you alright?”

“Yeah…..I’m good……” Shikkie was wiping a little drop of sweat on his forehead.

“Honey, are you really okay?”

“Yeah, I am doing well…honey….”

“Thanks for stopping by … .but I might be getting off a little again cus I have something to work on and my colleague Jina Kim is gonna help me with it….I’m sorry honey but you might have to order take out or something for dinner tonight….”

“No, I’m fine doing that…You can’t be cooking for us all the time ya know…”

“Muah.” Mama Hyojoo kissed her husband and also kissed her little girl Jen.

“I love you both….Lil Jen…listen to your father okay…? Mommy will be a little late tonight….Daddy will tuck you in…you like it when daddy tucks you in right?” Mama Hyojoo patted Jen on the head.

“Yes! Mommy! I love it when daddy tucks me in!” Lil Jen loved it whenever daddy would tuck her in and read her a sweet bed time story with his deep soothing voice. 

“Let’s go sweetheart….” Daddy shikkie said while holding her hand and walking her over to the car.

Meanwhile Mrs. Kim was trying to think of ways to make Mr Park hers but she has no idea that all her plans will be backfiring on her.

Mrs Kim is good friends with one of the parents of the school and her name is Sieon Lee. She might get Mrs Lee to help her out. Uee has a tendency to be obsessed with something, whatever catches her eyes. She was married once but didn’t work out but they had a kid together and she decided to raise that little girl by herself. For a short time she dated a younger man named Jo Myungsoo but that turned into a disaster.

Mrs Kim liked how good looking Mr Park was and also he seemed very mature as well.

Jen’s mother and father take turns taking her to school and pick her up but unfortunately Daddy Shikkie will be responsible for taking her to school and picking her up from school for a whole week.

Daddy Shikkie and Little Jen were at home, they ordered some take out and they were enjoying their dinner as father and daughter but daddy got a text from mama. 

“Honey, it looks like you will have to take Jen to school and also pick her up from school for like a whole week….I’m gonna be tied up with this project that I’m not able to get away from…sorry Honey…..I will take Jen and bring her back from school starting from next week.” 

Hyojoo felt so bad but Shikkie didn’t mind but the only thing he did mind was that scary lady Mrs. Kim who wanted to have a tea date with him.

“Sure darling, I don’t mind being the one that has to take our little Jen to school and back….No problem honey….”

“Who is it dad? Your food is gonna get cold?”

“Oh it is your mother….I have to take you to school again…for a whole week..” Daddy smiled.

“Oh really?!” Jen was happy but yet realized something and made her nervous….

“What’s wrong sweetheart?”

“Oh…nothing…..”
