I DEDICATE THIS CHAPTER TO BRINA….SHE GAVE ME TONS OF IDEAS AS WRITING MATREAL!

FINALLY, A WEEK LATER. FRIDAY MORNING.

Today was D-DAY. She has been waiting for like a week for this day to come and it took too long to get here. She has both tickets that her sister gave her. One for her and also one for Jiyi cus her sister’s not able to make it due to work emergencies. Jiyi has no idea that the ticket is not any old regular ticket but a VIP backstage ticket. Jen couldn’t believe it, her heart  was beating so fast and she’s gonna see her favorite  celeb crush in the flesh.

Jen looked at herself in the mirror to look presentable for her favorite celebrity crush. She picked out her best outfit. Jen doesn’t have a lot of super expensive brand name clothes but she felt like today was the occasion to pull it out and wear it. She put on a violet silky blouse made by Chanel, jeans made of nice material from Gucci, and she put on some high heels made by Prada. 

Jen combed her hair, curled the bottom of her hair and put it in a half ponytail with some bangs falling down. She put some makeup on but lightly so it would look natural on her. Jen put some designer nails on her fingers but she needed the finishing touch for everything which was some nice red lipstick and her favorite black Chanel handbag.

“Yes! I look great!” Then Jen sprayed some breath mint that was spearmint flavor and as she was proud of the way she looked and she heard somebody coming in, it was her sister.

“OMG girl…you look so hot! Are you really my little sis?”

“Do I look okay..? I still am not satisfied but this is the best I can do….” Jen was sighing because she thought she could look better for her PHS. 

“Don’t worry girl…you look so fabulous right now…” Jen’s sis gave her a thumbs up for approval.

“Oh and have fun for me…I’m sad that I can’t go with you but have double the fun for me and tell me everything later okay?” 

“I will sis!”

“Have fun!”

Jen was so nervous because she had a thing for PHS for like 3 years but never realized that this day would come, never imagined any of it.

Jen was going to work in high spirits while Changsoo was looking forward to the so-called welcoming party/company dinner party a week from now. . Changsoo didn’t like the fact that the days are going by slowly and there was  another thing that made him nervous, today was the day that Jen was going to go see her beloved idol.

“That friggin bastard! What does that fool have that I don’t! I’m young, I’m rich, I’m good looking and even sexy, and I have a very sweet personality too boot … .any girl would fall for me at the drop of a hat but what’s with this Jen girl? There’s a real handsome guy staring right at her but she’s gonna go see this guy that’s gonna forget about her after this stupid crummy fan meeting Huh?!”

Jen was walking into the office humming a PHS song. A lot of the office girls were PHS fans so they were humming to it as well. Some were even  whistling it. 

“Good Morning, Deputy Choi!”

 “Good Morning, Jen!”

“Good Morning everybody!”

“Good Morning Jen!”

“You are in high spirits, Jen…” a co-worker said.

“Oh it’s because Jen is going to a concert today to see her favorite idol,” said Joongi….

“Yup…all the girls like PHS..including me hehehe…” 

“I heard you won a backstage pass to see PHS! GIRL, you are so lucky!” said one of the female co-workers.

“Yeah…I didn’t know either but my sis was so lucky to win such a ticket…at first I thought it was a regular one.” Jen giggled. 

Changsoo texted Joongi to pry into some info about tonight so he could follow her.

“Hey Joongi…help me out…can you get me some info about that silly fan meeting? Please? I will buy you a good dinner for it….”

“Dude, we are friends…I will help you out……I don’t care about dinner….just help me get closer to Yoonha…that’s all I want from you….”

“Dude, anytime..I don’t even like her anyways…I want her off my back so we are helping each other…so ask her…”

“Hey, Jen…..is the fan meeting far away?”

“Oh….not really, it’s kinda close to the office…” Jen didn’t realize that Joongi asked her this question for Changsoo and she just volunteered the info to Joongi. She told Joongi that the venue is close to the office and she even gave him the name of the venue. 

“Oh is that so?” said Joongi, smiling.

“I’m gonna be out early today, you said I could.”

“Of course, of course…” Joongi was eager to tell Changsoo the hot info that he just got. 

While Joongi was texting Changsoo the info Jen was texting Jiyi.

“Hey, Changsoo…this is the name of the venue.” Joongi looked up the place then copied and pasted the photo of the venue to Changoo.

“Thanks bro! I owe you one!” Changsoo was so determined to make Jen his girl.

Jen texted Jiyi and let her know that she is gonna give her the ticket when they meet in front of the company building before heading to the actual venue that is not too far away from where they are at now.

Jen decided to at least remain professional and work although she couldn’t really concentrate today.

Jen made sure to work extra hard since she’s getting off early. Her goal was to get everything done before she leaves. Instead of taking an hour lunch break she decided to take a half an hour lunch.

Jen invited Jiyi to eat lunch with her so they could talk about later on today.

“Hi Jiyi! Over here! Oh you are having salad today?!”

“Me too! I can’t be looking fat in front of PHS…!” Jen said with a big smile.

“I agree with you!” Jiyi smiled back at Jen.

“So, you were saying that your sis won the ticket directly from the event but she can’t go cus something came up?” Jiyi asked curiously.

“Yeah…that’s what happened…I guess something last minute came up cus she has to fill in for someone…I didn’t ask the details but that’s the general gist of it….”

“It doesn’t matter cus I get to go in her place…I love PHS..! Jiyi was saying as she was chewing her food.

“So Jiyi…..when did you become a PHS fan?”

“Ummm exactly three years ago……”

“Oh really?…me too…..!” Jen said with a lot of excitement and shock in her voice.

“What do you like about him?” Jen asked Jiyi.

“He is handsome, he sings well, he is a good actor and his personality seems so gentle…how about you Jen?”

“Same…….All the qualities mentioned above…!” Jen smiled and it was that time. It was time for her to go back to work……..Her lunch break is over but the day is gonna go by so fast since she is getting off at 3:00pm instead of 5:00pm. Since she is going straight from work the limo would have to pick her and Jiyi up in front of the company.

“I will meet you in front of the company building at three…okay…Jiyi?”

“Okay…Jen bye…see you then,,,,” Jiyi waved at Jen with a smile and Jen headed to where the elevator was because she thought it might be faster to get to her office than to take the stairs. Jen got on the elevator while humming one of PHS songs and he saw Changsoo on the elevator. He was clearing his throat and made an off handed remark.

“That narcissist won’t give a damn about you. He probably has casual affairs and you are just one of many….” Then Changsoo cleared his throat again.

“That’s none of your business…Changsoo!” 

“Oh no…I’m sorry, Director Yoo…” Jen bowed politely and Changsoo raised his hand to pat her on the head again but put his hand back because he wasn’t supposed to pat her on the head.

Changsoo was kinda happy that Jen called him Changsoo instead of Director Yoo…..

“Don’t worry…it happens…I guess you were a little too excited that you couldn’t help yourself and that’s why you called me Changsoo just now…” Changsoo let out a slightly awkward life and Jen felt just as awkward as he just did.

Changsoo noticed something different about her. She was all done up. Jen was kinda sad that nobody said anything about her outfit and hair but Changsoo decided to pay her a nice compliment.

“You look very pretty today … .You always do but you look even prettier…I think that PHS guy would really love it…”

“Oh, thank you director Yoo.”

Jen had to get off the elevator now.

“Bye, director Yoo…I better get going…ya know back to work…” Jen was so cheerful and peppy that Changsoo just couldn’t help but to smile.

Jen was trying her best to work super hard so the time could go by fast and she was right the harder you work the time will fly by super fast. Before she even knew it it was already time for the awesome fan meeting.

Before Jen was about to leave, everyone in the office including Deputy Choi said in unison.

“JEN YOU LOOK SO PRETTY!”

“OH THANK YOU EVERYBODY!”

Jen felt like a star all of a sudden although she is not a star but she’s gonna go meet one.

“Have fun! Jen!” A few girls at the office said.

Jen went down to the lobby. She stopped by the restroom to fix her makeup and her hair. 

“There! Perfect!”

Jen met Jiyi in front of the company building.

“Jiyi, are you excited?”

“Yeah…oh by the way you look super pretty today Jen!”

“Thanks Jiyi!” Jen said cheerfully.

“You ready?” Jiyi asked Jen.

“Yup! I was born ready!”

Then the Limo came to pick them up and they felt like some Hollywood celebrities or something.

The ride was very short since the venue was not too far away from their job. 

There were so many screaming fangirls chanting, “PHS PHS PHS!”

Jen was so nervous and so was Jiyi.

Meanwhile, Changsoo drove over to the venue and he thought while he was at it he should use his power as the director of YUMIN group to get into the venue. A lot of these businesses would be nothing without Yumin so a lot of these places would have to bow down to Yumin when the time came.

So the backstage meet up happens after the regular fan meeting is over. 

Jen and Jiyi got in line like everyone else but they wanted to go to the merch place so they could get some kind of bracelet and some fluorescent wand with PHS logo on it. Jen and Jiyi wanted to get them really badly but the line was too long.

“Jiyi, the line is too long…”

“Yeah, you are right Jen….let’s forget about it…”

As the two girls were about to give up on buying a PHS merch before the fanmeeting, Changsoo was right in front of them.

“Director Yoo, what are you doing here?” Said Jen surprised.

“I’m here to watch the fan meeting too…..I’m a PHS fan!”

“HUH?” Jen was so confused.

“Oh you two girls want to buy some merch right?”

“Yeah…” answered Jen softly.

“I could get it for you, just wait….”

Changsoo managed to get three PHS bracelets and 3 fluorescent magic wands with PHS logo on them.

“Here Jen, Here Jiyi..”

“Oh, how did you manage to get those?” Jen asked curiously.

“I have my ways … .Let’s go in…”

Jen was able to see what it’s like to have powerful friends. Jen is not poor but she couldn’t just cut in line and go in front of people like that. She felt that was morally wrong and everyone should be treated equally but she didn’t mind being spoiled every now and then. Jen started to question her moral compass all of a sudden.

The whole auditorium was full of decorations and all kinds of girls. Jen was happy to be here and she is even more happy because she will get  to meet PHS in person, the love of her life for three years but somewhere deep within she realized that PHS belongs to all of these girls…and it kinda made her sad.

Changsoo managed to get a VIP seat so this means that he was able to sit next to Jen and Jiyi. Changsoo was happy that he could monitor Jen from this PHS guy. 

All of a sudden the lights  dimmed but the stage light was colorful and bright. 

PHS was still backstage and he hadn’t come out yet but all the girls were screaming, including Jen and Jiyi. Changsoo felt a little uncomfortable hearing all these fangirls adoring PHS.

“I could get more girls than this…” PHS mumbled to himself. 

“HELLO EVERYONE!” PHS finally showed himself to his beloved fans.

“It’s really warm isn’t it? I thank you for coming out here tonight! I will sing you the song that everyone loves!”

PHS sang this one song that everyone loves, but even the people that aren’t his fans know this song, it’s that famous.

PHS gave the fans fanservice by making heart shapes with his hands, doing his famous finger hearts and then blowing them kisses too. 

Whenever PHS sang, danced, acted, and did cute performances all the girls were cheering including Jen and Jiyi.

“OPPPPPAAAAAAAAAA WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PHS WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Jen and Jiyi screamed so loud that it covered up all the other girls chanting.

“PHS, PHS, PHS, PHS, PHS, PHS, PHS, PHS, PHS!”

“I’m gonna sing you one last song before I go…..it was nice meeting you all, I love you all, stay safe!” The last song made everyone sad cus nobody wanted this night to end, Jen and Jiyi felt just like the other girls, although they got to meet PHS in person for a bit at least.

Everyone was chanting, crying and waving their hands all in unison. Changsoo started to have goosebumps. He was able to realize that he was empty inside. Even when he was meeting all the girls he didn’t really feel like himself and this concert helped him realize where he went wrong, and what he did wrong … .He was thinking that his approach was all wrong and trying to pursue Jen and this concert helped him to see it.

PHS finished his song and everyone said….

“ENCORE, ENCORE, ENCORE, ENCORE, ENCORE..!”

So, PHS came out again to sing one more song and the crowd started to cheer even louder.

“PHS PHS PHS PHS PHS PHS PHS PHS PHS!” 

Jen and Jiyi and the crowd weren’t the only ones cheering on PHS….even Changsoo was doing it which shocked Jen and Jiyi. The two girls started to giggle because of it.

“I’m gonna sing this last song for you…!” said PHS while looking into Jen’s eyes. For some reason PHS blew Jen a personal kiss and started singing her favorite song while looking straight into her eyes.

Jen was in tears and Jiyi was crying too. However, Changsoo was inspired. For some reason he was teary eyed as well. Changsoo was crying while looking at Jen. 

“Goodnight everyone! I love you!” PHS said in his charming voice.

“Awwwwww!” The fans were so sad that this night is over. All the other fans were heading out of the venue while Jen and Jiyi were heading backstage.

Jen was so nervous and so was Jiyi.

Jiyi was holding on to Jen and said.

“You’ll be alright, girl…I mean..we’ll be alright…”

Jen nodded and then she heard someone clear their throat, it was Changsoo.

“Good luck Jen…..It will be okay……PHS will like you…..” Changsoo just lightly gave her shoulder a tap and Jen nodded and said, 

“Thank you. Changsoo…”

For some reason Changsoo loved it when she just called him by his name instead of using the silly honorifics.

It was time to go backstage. Jen was worried that she would faint.

“I hope I won’t faint.” Jen said nervously.

“I’m here for you girl.” Said Jiyi.

“I’m here too if you are okay with that…” Changsoo said.

“Go on Jen, Jiyi … .Wish You luck! I’m gonna go back to my office.” said Changsoo.

“Oh hello ladies.” said PHS in his signature gentle but charming voice.

Jen and Jiyi got to shake his hands and just like on TV, his hands were long, slim and manly.

Jen’s hands were shaking, Jiyi wasn’t as nervous for some reason and Jen was jealous of her for it.

“What is your name?” PHS asked.

“Oh…I’m Jen..Jen Park.”

“Oh you have the same last name as me…Well, nice to meet you Jen my dear…” PHS giggled.

“They call me the Park collector……I got me another Park here…” said PHS playfully. PHS is known to be very playful and he is known to make anybody comfortable because of that personality trait. 

Jen couldn’t help but to cover her mouth and giggle in her  cute signature  way.

“I see that you got on some Chanel stuff…..I just modeled for them recently, you look very cute in it…” It almost felt as if PHS was giving only Jen attention and not to Jiyi. PHS completely forgot about her friend Jiyi.

Jiyi was kinda pouting and she was jealous of Jen for getting all the attention.

“Oh, I’m so sorry, I forgot about your friend…..what is your name?”

“My name is Lee Jiyi..”

“Nice to meet you…Jiyi…”

PHS asked the two girls how they became fans and what their favorite drama is of him. The conversation went on for about a good hour and it was time to go.

Jen wanted this memory to last so she wanted a nice picture taken with her beloved PHS.

“Do you think we can get a picture with you?”

“Oh, sure of course…that’s why you have the VIP backstage pass.

Jen, Jiyi and PHS took a few photos together with their phones and their nice cameras. 

PHS even signed a few T-shirts, and CDS  as well.

“Oh my gosh thank you!” Both Jen and Jiyi said in unison.

“It’s time to go isn’t it? Sorry to cut it so short..you girls are very beautiful, please stay that way for me..” Then PHS playfully winked at them.

He opened his arms wide and gave both Jen and Jiyi a group hug. 

Jiyi waved at PHS and PHS waved back at her. Jen was about to head out but PHS stopped her and he gave her a huge hug and a light peck on the cheeks.

“Thanks for today! I will never forget it!” Said Jen.

“Thank you for your support Jen!” said PHS while smiling and waving at the same time.
