“Thanks for driving me home director…..I must go home now…my family is waiting for me….” Jen said while still feeling a little tipsy.

“No, I will walk you home….you can’t be going home like that…..” Changsoo said concerned. Changsoo even felt surprised by his behavior because he would never do this for a girl. Normally, he would drink with them, have sex with them, and just drive them home, but that was on his good days. Most of the time he would just let them leave on their own without even helping them. 

“You sure….?” Jen asked inquisitively.

“Yes, where do you live?” Changsoo asked.

“Rig–ht over…there!” Jen pointed out her house. It was a very ordinary house with ordinary folks. Jen lived with her mom, dad, and older sister. They weren’t poor but they weren’t rich either, so very ordinary folks.

“You can go now……well drive safe…” Jen let go of Changsoo’s grab and went into her house then shut the gate.

Changsoo had no idea why he was feeling this way. He was in his car driving but he was missing Jen already. He never felt this way about a girl. Changsoo first saw Jen when she was walking into the building early in the morning although Jen didn’t see him at the time.

EARLIER IN THE MORNING AT YUMIN CORP BUILDING

“Hey, what are you looking at?” Joongi asked him

“Just something…” Changsoo was checking out Jen walking towards the information desk.

Jen dressed very nice, professional and cute. Most of the girls Changsoo knows dress in either flashy or slutty outfits. 

Jen had long straight hair that’s jet black but her hair is in such good condition that it sparkled and glowed. She wore a cute but professional attire. She had a pink blouse with a white skirt that went down to her knees with a decent looking handbag over her shoulders. The way Jen walked was cute but with a lot of finesse. The moment Jen walked into the building, Changsoo was upstairs looking down where she was at, mesmerized already. He was so in his own world with this girl that Joongi had to wake him up.

“Changsoo…what are you staring at like that?”

“Oh…nothing…let’s go….let’s go get some fancy coffee somewhere…”

Choi Joongi has been Changsoo’s friend since high school. Joongi is from a middle class family like Jen, he is not poor but not rich either. So Joongi knows how Changsoo has been living since High school. They are both 29 years old, Jen is two years younger than them. 

Joongi was confused as to why Changsoo was acting this way, he seemed very focused about something but didn’t know what. He wanted to get it out of him but Changsoo just wouldn’t budge. 

AT CHANGSOO’S HOUSE

Changsoo got home and took a shower. He was on his bed thinking about Jen. He just met her today but couldn’t stop thinking about her. He was thinking about how he held her although it wasn’t a romantic one or anything. He looked at his phone and he regretted not asking for her phone number. 

“Dang, I should’ve asked for her phone number…” Changsoo let out a deep sigh and he heard a knock on the door…it was his mother. Changsoo was a bit of a mama’s boy so she was very involved with his life, including romance.

“Hey, kiddo….how are ya? Did you have a good day at work today?”

“Yeah……but I have a problem…….”

“What problem? Girl problem?”

“Hmmmm maybe…I dunno….mom….”

“You should meet with Yoonha from Taejin group … .Your dad really wants you to marry her….”

“No mother! I don’t like her! She is just a little sister to me…”

“I want you to do me a favor and meet her just this once…just for me and your father…You know you are our favorite child….” Changsoo’s mother was begging him at this point.

“Fine, Fine…I will meet her….” Changsoo just said that to get rid of his mom for now.

“Okay, kiddo…I will leave you be…” Changsoo’s mom left to leave him alone for a while.

Changsoo was breathing deeply and couldn’t get Jen out of his mind.

AT JEN’S HOUSE

Jen was kinda drunk to have a real conversation with her family. Her dad was in his own room reading a newspaper, but her mom and older sister were interested about how her day went.

“Jen ah, how was your day at work? Did you have a good day?”

“Oh, mom…..I want to sleep…so tired…I had a long day…..”

“Okay, okay…dear…I will let you go to sleep…I will leave you alone for now…” Jen’s mom left her bedroom while the sister was bugging her now.

“Jen, Jen….are there any handsome guys at your job? I heard rumors about Yumin corp…I heard that there are a lot of good looking men there at Yumin, especially that young director guy…I know a friend that goes there ya know…”

“Sis…can you leave me alone? I need some sleep…..” Jen was so tired from a long day at work and also that stupid party that she didn’t even want to attend. When her sister talked about the director she was smiling but didn’t know why. Jen’s sister saw the way she was smiling and she started suspecting something weird but decided to ask her more about it tomorrow.

“Okay, girl…I will leave you alone but you must tell me everything that went on tomorrow!”

“Alright, just leave sis…..!”
