DURING LUNCH BREAK AT YUMIN HIGH SCHOOL

Dalbong, Seowool, Kyungshim and Myungsoo all get together and go to this ice cream shop that is only a few minutes away from the school. Myungsoo is still shocked that he managed to bring Kyungshim along with them.

“Oh man….What did I get myself into?” Kyungshim complained. On the surface Kyungshim acted like Myungsoo was a child that she didn’t have to deal with but his silly charms were growing on her. 

“Seowool, what kind of ice cream do you want?” Dalbong asked sweetly.

“I’ll have what you’ll have.” Said Seowool while smiling.

“I’ll have one big vanilla ice cream…and two spoons please…” Said Dalbong to the cashier up front.

Kyungshim decided to order for him and Myungsoo.

“I’ll have one Vanilla and Chocolate ice cream…” Kyungshim said glaring at Myungsoo.

“Kyungshim….I’m the man here….I was gonna get the ice cream for us…!” Myungsoo complained.

“You? A man? Get outta here … .You are so not a man…..you are still like a little boy!” Kyungshim said while hissing. 

Myungsoo was a little hurt because he wanted to appear like a cool man in front of Kyungshim but she was too much of a woman for him to do that.

AT THE DRAMA CLUB

Yihyun and Sebom were the first ones there at the drama club today. 

Yihyun and Sebom were getting to know each other by having a deep conversation about their lives. 

“How did you come to the drama club when you seem so uninterested in these kinds of things? And you are an athlete….” Asked Sebom curiously.

“Well……I’m not super interested in artsy things and I’m certainly no drama nerd but something just drew me here….I shouldn’t be saying this because I’m a science guy but some weird energy drew me to this place….and my body acted accordingly….I don’t know how else to explain it…Maybe that paranormal guy Yeonwoo is right…..” Yihyun sighed.

“Yeah……I think this school and this theater do have a weird energy….I’m kinda like you … .I never believed in religious things nor paranormal things that are not backed up by science but lately…I do regret being so narrow minded……”

“It’s okay, we are still young, we are still learning and discovering ourselves…..” Yihyun looked at Sebom as he was about to kiss her but not quite. 

Sebom felt herself flinching a little bit because she thought he was gonna kiss her. But Sebom decided to change the subject.

“So…are you still treating me to ice cream later on? There is a good ice cream shop a few minutes away from the school….” Sebom smiled awkwardly.

“Of Course! Yeah, and it will be on me…!” Yihyun said while removing her bangs from her face because it was in the way…

“Sorry, Sebom…it looked like your hair was hurting your eyes….” Yihyun smiled awkwardly.

“I’m fine….” Sebom was equally awkward by the situation.

CHANGSOO’S OFFICE

Changsoo was in his little mini office, he got one since he is the son of Yumin High School. He invited Bongsoon over to show him his world.

“Hey Bongsoon…this is my office.” Changsoo wasn’t bragging, he would have in the past but he just wanted to share a little bit of his world with Bongsoon.

“Wow…it’s so nice…..! Look at the couch…..the ceiling and everything….you rich people have it so nice….” Then Bongsoon was hugging one of the cushions on his leather sofa.

“You like it that much?” Changsoo asked.

“Yeah! I really like it…..” Changsoo found Bongsoon adorable and he is so glad that she likes him too. She confessed in front of her whole family that she likes him too.

“Hey Bongsoon…I want to tell you something.”

“What is it?”

“Well…like your brother said, I was a womanizer and when I first met you I was attracted to you and wanted to hit on you but I couldn’t……”

“Why?”

“Cus I respect you and I really like you…”

Bongsoon was touched by this and she kissed him on the cheeks.

“You have the skill to make me take the responsibility as a man…” then Changsoo kissed Bongsoon properly, on the lips. No tongue but a gentle and passionate kiss. Bongsoon and Changsoo looked at each other tenderly which made them go for another kiss before the drama club.

“We better get going, it’s the drama club time.” Changsoo said. In the beginning he hated going there but Brina inspired him to be a part of it and now he is so happy he decided to get involved. 

Changsoo grabbed Bongsoon’s hand and walked over to the auditorium that’s kinda further away from Changsoo’s mini office.

EUNSOO AND HWAN WALKING 

Eunsoo and Hwan decided to enjoy every time that they have left together on this plane, because they both know that once Hwan goes back to Joseon, that will be it.

“I……” Eunsoo wanted to say something but couldn’t finish her sentence.

Hwan and Eunsoo were walking around campus before the drama club, Yumin High school is very pretty. There are a lot of trees, gardens, and this high school has a pond with ducks that most high schools don’t even have. 

Hwan just grabbed Eunsoo’s hand and started talking.

“I like you Eunsoo … .and hopefully you’ll find someone that loves you…..at least I could show you that you are a precious person and the right guy will come around.” Hwan said while his voice was shaking a little bit. Hwan was excited to know that he might get to go back to Joseon sooner than expected but at the same time he realized that he’s gonna miss the modern world and Eunsoo. 

Eunsoo couldn’t help but to cry and Hwan held her in his arms.

“I don’t know how to let you go….I thought…..I finally found someone after realizing that I won’t be able to be with someone I was so fond of since elementary school….” Eunsoo was crying into Hwan’s soft arms. 

Eunsoo was so devastated and didn’t know what to do.

Hwan was breathing very deeply and letting out the deepest sigh he’s ever let out. Hwan felt helpless. He wishes he could be there for Eunsoo but at the same time he was very much in love with Jaeyi and she’s in trouble back in Joseon. 

“Would you come back to Joseon with me? Even if I have someone I love back there?” Hwan asked. He instantly regretted it after he uttered those words.

Eunsoo hesitated to answer but Hwan was surprised by her answer.

“Yes …I would go back if I could…..and even if Jaeyi is the one, so be it…at least I get to see you ruling the country as the crown prince…right? And also I want to be able to see your visions for your Joeseon…” Eunsoo gave her soft smiles with dimples. 

Hwan was surprised at Eunsoo’s answer and this made him feel even more guilty.

AT THE DRAMA CLUB

Minhyuk was frustrated and it wasn’t cus of what’s happening at the drama club. He was angry and frustrated with his brothers. He found out that his second brother that he trusted the most betrayed him. His second older brother at least gave him hope that the brothers could get along when he was a young boy. His oldest brother and the third older brother always played pranks on him, picked on him and gave him a hard time when he was little. However, the second brother made him think that he had someone on his side so he was relieved until what happened earlier in the morning before school.

Minhyuk got a call early in the morning from his most trusted brother, his second older brother. He was the one that stabbed him in the back and made bad people go after him. The second brother didn’t want him to get any of his father’s inheritance so he pulled something really sinister to harm Minhyuk. Minmin was heartbroken cus of this so he wasn’t himself to run the drama club today.

It was already 3:00pm and everyone was finally there at the theater. But people noticed that Minhyuk wasn’t himself. Minhyuk was in the corner crying while holding on to his fist. He looked like he wanted to punch something or even someone…

Brina came over to her man.

“Is something the matter?”

“No! Just leave me alone! I’m gonna kill that stupid guy! Minhyuk yelled, talking about his brother.

Changsoo and Bongsoon walked in and as soon as they entered they both saw a sad and angry Minhyuk. Changsoo heard Minhyuk yelling something about his brother angrily. Changsoo was able to relate to this because he had brother issues, more like he is still dealing with them, even though it’s not as much as before.

“Hey, Minhyuk…what’s going on?” Changsoo decided to be the better man and ask about Minhyuk’s well-being even though they both don’t like each other very much. Changsoo thought since he is more involved now with the club he should take some responsibilities into the well being of every student here. 

“It’s none of your business! Stop acting like you care!” Minhyuk was clearly annoyed by Changsoo trying to lend a helping hand.

“I heard you yelling something about your brother….I can relate to that…I have brothers that have been trying to drag me down, ever since I was in elementary school and they are still doing it….”

Changsoo decided to open up to Minhyuk. He felt like they could relate even if they don’t see things eye to eye and they started out badly.

“Thanks for trying to cheer me up but I don’t need your sympathy!” Minhyuk glared at Changsoo. He thought this was his opportunity to snap at Changsoo because he always had this inferiority complex with him. However, he remembered what Brina told him the other day over the phone. He should be the better man but it looks like Changsoo beat him to the punch and showed him that his rival could be the better man and this bugged the heck out of him.

Brina looked at Minhyuk and her eyes were saying everything he needed to know. Basically, Brina was telling him to stop stooping so low and give up his stupid rivalry and competition with Changsoo. Minhyuk had an internal dialogue with himself and he thought maybe Changsoo could be a good male buddy he never really had since most of his friends growing up were girls. 

Jen was documenting and jotting everything down while Seonwoo was going around filming everything. 

Minhyuk put his hand out.

“Here…let’s shake…” Minhyuk was being awkward about it but he tried to be the better man and tell Changsoo that he wants to be his friend.

“What does this mean?” Asked Changsoo with a confused grin on his face.

“Friends?” Minhyuk said with his own silly grin.

“Sure…why not? You want to come to my place later to have a drink with me? Do you like hard liquor?” Changsoo asked.

“Hey hey, I don’t drink alcohol….I’m a high school student…” Minhyuk was a goody goody boy for a rich guy.

“Do you have fancy coffee or fancy orange juice? Fresh squeezed?” Minhyuk decided to show his playful self to Changsoo which he didn’t mind.

Yeonwoo and Jina were both inspecting the dark portal. Yeonwoo was writing the description of what he is observing in detail and Jina was by him just being his moral support. 

Sam Maekjong was looking at the portal and so was Jiyi.

“Sammy, I am very excited to go to Shilla with you. When I watched Hwarang I day dreamed about being adored by all the Hwarang warriors…” Jiyi giggled in her signature cute but silly way.

“It’s not as dramatic as you think……” Sammy said with a sigh.

“You want to watch Hwarang with me later on when we get home? I was a big Hwarang fan…when it came out……I was only in elementary school but ever since I was a little girl I was really into historical and fantasy stuff…” Jiyi was giggling again while holding onto Sammy’s arm.

Sammy was excited to watch Hwarang with Jiyi not only because they get to spend quality time together but he wants to see how modern people portray the people of Shilla in their drama series. 

“Of course..I will watch it with you, Jiyi ya,,,” Sammy patted Jiyi on the head and Jiyi was giggling adorably. Sam Maekjong never felt happy like this. Back home in Shilla he had a rival named Moomyung that he had to deal with, his love Aro hates him, and his mom is always trying to get involved in his business but the modern world with Jiyi was peaceful to the point where he didn’t want to go back.

Seonwoo decided to take a break from filming for a few minutes because he felt like nothing was going on so he decided to go over to Jen to check on how she is doing.

“Jen babe, you doing alright?”

“Yeah, I’m doing good…a lot of writing…I might have to do some editing and make revisions…that’s the nature of a job as a writer…” Said Jen while letting out a deep sigh.

“How about you, honey … .Seonwoo ya, how is filming for this drama club? Getting the hang of it?”

“Yea….I totally am…..It’s really fun but also a lot of work…”

“Hmmmm I see….”

“Hey, please dress a little warmer…You gonna freeze to death one day if you just worry about being stylish…”

“Seonwoo ya, it’s not even the winter in the northern hemisphere…..and you nag even more than my mom ever would…..I don’t mind it but just saying….” 

“Oh, by the way, I’m meeting up with Insoo later on after the drama club is over…..I just want to let him know that we are still friends…no hard feelings….so you could go home today….but you could come over tomorrow so you could sleep with me again…”

“Sleep with me…Sleep with you….?”

“No, just cuddle on the same bed, don’t do anything silly, you have a dirty mind Jen…”

“Nuh Uh….” Jen and Seonwoo were tickling each other then all of a sudden Seonwoo heard a sound and his natural instinct started to react.

He pulled out his camera getting ready to shoot and Jen opened up her laptop back and got ready to type whatever it was happening.

The sound was coming from where the dark portal is on top of the ceiling. Then suddenly the lightning struck so  hard that it practically shook the whole theater.
