This is a fanfic of Happiness I wrote about two months ago, I was still fairly new as a Sikkie fan but after watching Happiness I was inspired to write my own fanfic for it.

Yoon Sebom has known Jung Yi Hyun for 12 years, they have known each other since High School. She has always wondered if their relationship is really friendship. She always felt so comfortable around him, too comfortable around him. Sebom grew up in a very unstable home. Her parents were always fighting to the point where she needed a hiding place and that was her father’s truck.

Sebom was laying on the bed and Seoyeon was laying on the other bed. Junggook was laying on the couch and her bestie was trying very hard to fall asleep on the futon. 

Sebom was reminiscing of that day 12 years ago on the rooftop. They were both talking about what to do and what their lives would be like in the future. Yi Hyun has been playing baseball for awhile and he wanted to play pro-baseball but he couldn’t further his career since he injured his knee pretty badly. 

Yi Hyun has been in love with Sebom for a long time, he’s been feeling the never ending power of love since High School but he was getting tired of the friend zone. Yihyun was contemplating about actually telling her his true feelings but he’s having a hard time confessing to her because he’s afraid she might just run away. He would rather have her around as a friend than to completely lose her.

Yihyun was happy to hear that Sebom wanted to marry him even though it’s not real and she was trying to get that apartment from her job. To Yihyun it felt like he hit the jackpot cus he gets to actually live with her and pretend to live like a married couple. They even had to put on a show for both of their parents to make it seem as if their marriage is legit.

Ever since the quarantine and the lockdown happened, everyone was trapped in this apartment building. The people that were trapped were all so selfish that each individual tenant had to constantly worry about their safety and well being, and that also goes for this couple. Even more so for this couple because Yihyun and Sebom had a little girl Seoyeon to take care of as well. It didn’t help that Yihyun was trying to protect the other tenants from the evil wannabe apartment representative woman.

Sebom was laying down on her bed but still couldn’t sleep and she was thinking of that day 12 years ago when she pushed Yihyun off from the edge of the rooftop. Fortunately, there was a fluffy cushion to protect Yihyun from the fall but that day had a lasting effect, even till this day. 

Sebom couldn’t sleep so she quietly came out to the kitchen to grab a can of beer. Everyone seemed to be dead asleep, Yihyun was still awake with his eyes closed but Sebom thought  that he was dead asleep as well. Sebom went out to the balcony and opened the can of beer, as she was gulping it down she heard the door slide open. It was Yihyun.

“You cannot sleep?”  Yihyun asked quietly.

“Nope, I tried but couldn’t”

Sebom decided to ask Yihyun a question.

“What do you think of me? Do you think I’m a good friend?”

Sebom seemed confused, she felt like she liked Yihyun but had a hard time admitting it. Maybe she was feeling the same thing as Yihyun. She likes him a lot but didn’t want to lose him as a friend completely.

“Did you know that you helped me survive all my hardships in High School? My parents used to fight all the time but chatting with you helped a lot….”

Yihyun took a sip of his beer and started to let out a big sigh……

“Of course you are my good friend…….”

There was a pause, since 12 years ago Yihyun thought of her as a woman not just any old friend but he didn’t want to say that and as he was about to add onto what he was saying, Sebom interrupted……

Sebom suddenly started to sit on his lap which scared the heck out of Yihyun.She was sitting on his lap facing him. Sebom wanted to test something out. She read somewhere that to know if you have feelings for another person you have to do something physical. She wanted to see if she felt flustered or not by displaying affections onto her old friend that’s been around for 12 years.

She put her lips gently on his. There was no reaction on his part, not yet anyways but with Sebom she was feeling something strong in her tummy. Sebom was feeling hot and bothered, it seemed like this test was working, it was really working. But there are a few problems, she might want to go further and she doesn’t want to wake anybody up and also Yihyun’s reaction worried her.

Yihyun was certainly feeling it and he also wants to go further which means that Yihyun and Sebom really do like each other but he is scared that he might turn into a monster. It makes sense since he’s been holding back his true feelings for Sebom for 12 years so he’s scared that he might explode.

Before Sebom could even continue with the kiss she started, Yihyun started to bite her neck a little,he grabbed her hand tightly and started to kiss her roughly. Sebom was a little surprised cus his gentleness that she’s used to completely disappeared. 

Yihyun pulled Sebom even closer to him and continued to roughly kiss her and started to breathe really hard. All of a sudden Sebom got all shy which isn’t her style at all. Sebom is a tomboy, she is a tough girl, so it was hard for her to believe that she was being all shy around him. Yihyun used this chance to display his manliness by using his index finger to lift up her chin.

“Look at me Sebom, I want to tell you something…I like you, I liked you for 12 years since High School and it was so hard for me…..to keep inside for this long but you know…I want to thank you for making the first move……..”

Sebom looked into his eyes and tried not to be shaken by his stare…..and she decided to be straight with him. She wanted to be sure that her analysis on her feelings towards him was true. It felt that way because of what her body was saying to her. 

“I like you Hyun-ah, now that I think about it, I think I have had feelings for you ever since 12 years ago but I was able to mask it by feeling comfortable around you … .Being comfortable around you blinded me of my real feelings for you……”

They continued kissing each other but this time, very gently.

“I think we should get back to bed because I don’t want Seoyeon to wake up…..” said Sebom. Sebom was thinking to herself that if Seoyeon and Junggook weren’t living with them she wouldn’t mind giving herself to him completely…I mean why not? They are  a married couple right?

Yihyun nodded and then he helped Sebom fix her hair a bit because her bangs were falling to the point where it was covering her beautiful eyes.

“Let’s go.” Yihyun grabbed Sebom’s hand gently, took her to her bedroom. He tucked her in, gave her a light peck on the lips and said goodnight. Sebom was so happy to finally be real with herself and also to him. She was finally able to close her eyes and doze off to lalaland. 

Yihyun finally laid down on his futon and closed his eyes with a smile. Yihyun was very happy that he let it all out. It felt like what was weighing down his shoulders for all these years to disappear just like that with one confession from the woman he loves.
