Jiyi felt like she could share anything with Sam Maekjong comfortably as if he is like her best friend. Sam Maekjong felt the same way. It was really hard for him to be in the Hwarang Youth Warrior troupe because he is a royal and nobody knows about it. He has to hide his identity for various reasons. Also, his lady love doesn’t like him but likes his friend and rival Moomyung. Jiyi knows what it feels like to be treated like cold rice.
While Jiyi was keeping Sam Maekjong company she got a call from a friend who moved down to the countryside named Kang Seowool.
“Excuse me sir, I got a phone call…” said Jiyi
Sam Maekjong didn’t mind just watching Jiyi doing her thing. However, he is still not used to all these gadgets like Phones, Tvs, Laptops, Ipads, Cameras and such…..He thought they were amazing inventions and he wished Shilla had them too.
“Hey Seowool…what’s up!? What?! Really?! You are?! Okay! I will! Alright, I will see you in front of the school tomorrow!”
Jiyi sounded happy, it was her old friend Kang Seowool, she is in Seoul now, she moved back to the city not too long ago and she’s gonna be starting Yumin high school tomorrow.
“Why are you so happy?” Sam Maekjong asked.
“My old friend, I get to see her again…!” Jiyi was the girl that gets so happy with the simplest thing in life and this made Sam Maekjong smile a little.
Meanwhile, Do Bong soon was tired from the Drama club and she was talking to her mom about everything. Her mom was sad that she couldn’t make Minhyuk hers. As Bongsoon was talking to her mom about this and that, they both heard a door slam.
“What’s up with the door slamming? Is someone here?!”
“Hey Bong Soon ah!” It was Kyungshim. She came to stay at Bongsoon’s house because something happened in Busan.
“Hello mother, Hey Bongsoon…..It looks like I’m gonna be staying with you for awhile…something happened at home in Busan…Can I stay here with you guys?”
“Of course you can….welcome home!” Bong Soon didn’t mind because she loved chatting with Kyungshim at night when she couldn’t sleep and to Bongsoon’s mother Kyungshim was like another daughter to her.
Eunsoo was home laying on her bed and she got a text message from her old friend, Yoon Sebom. She is a city girl unlike Kang Seowool but she is from another district.However, she’s gonna transfer to Yumin high school.
Hey, girl…Eunsoo ya, I’m transferring to your school….I will see you in front of the cafeteria…okay?
Eunsoo was happy to hear from an old friend…..Sebom was not a girly girl…She is really pretty but she is a bit of a tomboy and a bad ass.
Brina was so happy that she is finally together with Minhyuk. Minhyuk texted Brina.
“Good night sweety, I miss you already….”
“Me too Minmin….”
“Btw, Brina, make sure to have some normal clothes ready for those fantastical dudes okay?”
“Okay, I got it all covered.”
“Thanks Brina, Mi amor! Muah!”
“Oh stop it, you are embarrassing me, Minmin…”
Meanwhile, back at Seonwoo’s house…..Jen barely got up from her nap and she was able to write a few things before going back to sleep but Seonwoo was out cold. Jen knew that waking him up would be impossible so she decided to just let him sleep.
“I guess I’m gonna be working on this alone…” Jen sighed. She tried her best to stay focused and organized. She wished she could drink some coffee but it was a little too late for that. Seonwoo’s mom came out to the living room and saw that Jen was up and Seonwoo was sleeping. His mom was nice enough to get her a nice decaf tea. Now she was able to focus better.
“Thank you mother…” said Jen politely.
“Oh, no…I like it when you are with my boy……you are so sweet.” Jen felt loved by his mother.
“Drink this tea, it will help you write….don’t hesitate to ask if you need anything, sweetheart.” Seonwoo’s mom was so nice to Jen.
Jen slapped her face gently with both of her hands then drank a few sips of the tea and finally she was able to write several pages super quick and she was proud of it. Now she felt like she could get some shut eyes next to her man.
Changsoo doesn’t want to be a playboy anymore. Once he lost Brina thought about himself a lot and did some soul searching, he didn’t want to live this way. He wanted to focus on his studies, maybe enjoy a hobby or two and have real friends to back him up. Changsoo was lonely a lot because he doesn’t get along with his older brothers since they just see him as a competition. They are already treating him this way when he is still in high school so imagine what it would be like once he becomes an adult.
Changsoo always wanted true friends. Being rich isn’t always great because sometimes you don’t know who your true friends are because there are people that would be your friend just cus you are rich or in some cases you get bullied for it from jealous peers.
Changsoo wants a real friend and doesn’t matter if it’s a boy or a girl, just anybody that he could truly connect with emotionally would be good enough for him. Changsoo was changing and maybe seeing the kids at the drama club has been making him think more about how he truly feels and reflect on it. His recent behavior has been surprising his mom and even his brothers.
Finally, the next afternoon in the DRAMA CLUB at 3:00pm, surprisingly everyone was there … .The full cast of the Theater Company Drama Club of Yumin High School were all present. Minhyuk wanted to make an announcement, he wanted to tell everyone that Brina is his girl now so people have to respect her.
“Hi everyone, this is Minhyuk, your drama club president of Yumin High…it seems like everyone took my advice from you yesterday…You are all here on time! Wow! Bravo! That is great! However, I have one important announcement to make……as of last night … .Brina Artigas is my woman so whoever treats her bad is equal to treating me bad? Understood!”
Brina was standing right next to Minhyuk and he held her hand and lifted them up for everyone to see.
Seonwoo suddenly wanted to make an announcement too.
“Minhyuk, can I say something too?”
“Go ahead Seonwoo, what’s up?”
“Jen…..is my girlfriend, I want all of you to know that…she is the writer of the play so she plays a very important part so please be good to her…thank you very much everyone.”
Seonwoo felt so good letting the whole club know about it and he also lifted her hand up so everyone could see.
Jen felt embarrassed and so was Brina. Jen decided not to get carried away by all this and decided to stay focused. Jen went up to the front and gave some of the materials she wrote to Minhyuk. Minhyuk took a brief look at it and liked it.
“I think we could finally start getting to work…no more fooling around.”
“I am gonna give you each your respective roles to play for our project.”
Minhyuk is really sounding like a boss now. Before he could go any further, Changsoo interrupted him.
“Yo! Ahn Minhyuk…..I’m gonna give you the funding so don’t worry about money….do what you need to do! I will back you up!”
Minhyuk really didn’t want his help cus of his stupid pride but he didn’t want to look like a narrow minded fool in front of Brina so he said okay.
“Thanks…..Changsoo!” yelled out Minhyuk from the podium of the auditorium.
With the new script that Jen wrote, everyone will be acting and also helping out set design, costumes, and props. The only people with specific jobs are Minhyuk, Changsoo, Brina, Seonwoo, Jen, and Insoo.
However, Minhyuk thought Yihyun would be perfect for set building since that takes a lot of strength and he looked really strong and he actually is too.
Jiyi wanted to introduce her new friend Kang Seowool to Minhyuk.
“I brought a friend…She is from my hometown back in the countryside…Her name is Kang Seowool.”
“Hello. I am Kang Seo Wool and I’m from Hongsong county in Chungcheong province. Nice to meet you all…” Kang Seowool said with good mannerisms.
Jina came with Yeonwoo to see how he is doing. Jina was actually enjoying this atmosphere and she is glad that he made him join this silly club.
Dalbong managed to drag Myungsoo over to the club despite his wishes being as far away from this place as possible but today is gonna be a good day for the slacker because he will be somebody that will completely catch his eyes. Kyungshim was supposed to come to the auditorium but Bong soon was beginning to worry because she thinks her friend is lost or something.
Eunsoo met up with Sebom in front of the cafeteria. Sebom looked so cool that even girls have crushes on her. Sebom loved to eat, she always had to have some kind snack to keep her going. Eunsoo had to quietly sneak out of the theater while Minhyuk wasn’t looking.
“Sebom, we gotta hurry up…I snuck outta there when the president of the club wasn’t looking.”
“Is he one of those people who is very strict about attendance?”
“Yup … .I like strict attendance but not like this…He could be so over the top but I still like the drama club…it’s fun.”
“Alright. Let’s go, Eunsoo baby.”
Back at the drama club, Minhyuk told Brina, his assistant and girlfriend to get the two bags from backstage and hand them over to Sam Maekjong and Lee Hwan. They were normal clothes for the two men from two different time periods.
“Here you go…” Brina delivered the modern clothes to the two men from Shilla and Joseon.
Sam Maekjong initially thought it wasn’t right for him to wear such a garment but put it on anyway.
“I as a royal shouldn’t be wearing such cheap looking clothes but I will wear it for you lowly people…” Sam Maekjong said with prideful eyes.
Changsoo was laughing cus he thought he was the old timey version of him although he is trying to change his ways, little by little.
Eunsoo managed to bring Sebom into the theater quietly while Bongsoon was waiting for Kyungshim.
“Why isn’t she coming?” Bong soon quietly asked herself while being nervous.
“Are you waiting for someone?” Changsoo asked Bong Soon.
“Yeah…my friend’s supposed to be here today….. But she isn’t here yet…”
Changsoo thinks Bongsoon is pretty but he doesn’t want to pick up his old habits and try to do something stupid. Changsoo was surprised he was able to treat Bong Soon normally unlike all the other girls…even Brina.
“Don’t worry, she’ll get here.” Changsoo said politely.
Myungsoo was bored and Dalbong was trying to entertain him to make him stay and he was about say, the hell with it and just leave but as he was about to do that he heard the door go
“TWAMP!”
It was Kyungshim, making all kinds of noise and this was so distracting that Minhyuk couldn’t ignore it.
“Who are you?” Minhyuk asked, a little upset.
“Me? I am Do Bongsoon’s friend!” Kyungshim said rather rudely.
Bongsoon looked embarrassed while Myungsoo thought that a girl like her could possibly entertain him from this boredom called The Drama Club.
