I’m writing this because my fangirl sis Brina seemed to be wanting this and since she is my regular patron and a Sikkie fangirl friend who is equally suffering from this Sikkie Virus or Sikkiness disease, whatever the heck you want to call it so I decided to write something dedicated to her.

Cha Dalbong and Yoon Eunho from What Happens to my Family

Chal Dalbong and Yoon Eun ho have been friends for a long time, try middle school but they stopped being friends because of an incident that happened in the past. However, 12 years later they reunite due to a girl named Kang Seowool.

They kinda fought over Seowool 12 years ago but 12 years later they are fighting over Seowool again. They are awkward after reuniting after so much time has passed while fighting over the same girl is not making things any better. However, they start becoming more comfortable around each other bit by bit.

Once Dalbong starts working at Eunho’s restaurant as the kitchen assistant his relationship dynamic changes. What I mean by this is Dalbong’s feelings become more clear and certain for Seowool although Eunho’s feelings become more certain as the days go by….

Once Eunho realizes that Seowool won’t change her mind and will stick with Dalbong and Dalbong is certain about Seowool as well….Eunho kinda lets it go but he becomes a person that cheers him on…..the good example of this is when Dalbong is having a hard time proposing to Seowool, Eunho then pushes Dalbong to take action and just give her the ring.

Yoo Changsoo and Choi Joongi from High Society

Changsoo and Joongi have been friends since high school from two different social economic backgrounds. They helped each other in different ways in high school but as adults it was kinda like that until Changsoo finds out that Joongi had ulterior motives from the beginning.

There’s no physical bonding really but they hung out with each other a lot back in high school and even as adults. They talk about a lot of things with each other, share a lot of the things that are on their minds. They talk, go work out and exercise together, go drinking and such. So I guess there is male bonding in that sense but nothing phyical…….

Sam Maekjong and Moomyung from Hwarang (WOOGA SQUAD MEMBERS!)

YAY THE WOOGA SQUAD MEMBERS! THESE TWO ARE BEST FRIENDS IN REAL LIFE and its funny because from what I understand Hyungsik and Seojoon, the two PARKS met on the set of Hwarang back in 2016……..and they’ve been tight ever since.

However as the two characters Sam Maekjong and Moomyung, they are full blown rivals…..In the Hwarang squad and also because of a woman name named Kim Aro…..There are no bromance between these two, it’s just sheer rivalry but then again somehow I think that if they worked out some of the differences……Sam Maekjong and Moomyung could have been besties……Oh well….but at least in real life they are BROS FOR LIFE!

Ahn Minhyuk and Secretary Gong from SWDBS

Ahn Minhyuk and Secretary Gong are fairly close. Secretary Gong listens to all of Minhyuk’s demands. Minhyuk is very demanding but he is still nice to Secretary Gong and he knows that hence that’s why he is still working for him.

There are moments when Secretary Gong is too close to Minhyuk as if he wants to break certain boundaries but still Gong keeps his image to a very professional one unlike that one older gay man where he shows how he feels about Minhyuk a little too dramatically. Sometimes I get this feeling that Sec Gong likes Minhyuk but is good at hiding it…..Is it just me feelings this way? Hmmmmm.

Ahn Minhyuk and In Gukdoo from SWDBS

Now, Ahn Minhyuk and In Gukdoo. On the surface there really isn’t a bromance per se but in Bongsoon’s mind there’s a whole lot of it. Part of it is because Bongsoon thought that Minhyuk was gay at the beginning of the show due to silly rumors going around.

Gukdoo went over to Minhyuk’s house to make sure that Bongsoon will be okay at Minhyuk’s house…but before they even knew it they became very competitive towards each other cus they wanted to look good in front of Bongsoon….However, they ended up playing some drinking game and they got super drunk which made them do all kinds of physical things….Kissing, rolling on top of the pool table together…The next morning they were so embarrassed that they even did that.

Go Yeonwoo and Choi Kang Seok from Suits

Yeonwoo and Kang Seok both work for Kang&Ham. Kang Seok is a veteran lawyer who’s been at it for awhile and Yeonwoo is a newbie for the firm. I guess Kang Seok is like a mentor to him despite the fact that Yeonwoo is a smart guy, book smart gus he has such a good memory and all. However, he still had a lot to learn about the realities of this cold industry. I don’t really see Bromance much apart from the silly banters and them trying to out wit each other perhaps.

Jung Yihyun and Kim Jungguk from Happiness

The only Bromance I could think of in Happiness is Jung Yihyun and Kim Jungguk. Jungguk was a young teacher when Yihyun and Sebom were still in high school. He was kinda like a mentor to them. Also, Jungguk works for the police department as a detective and Yihyun follows suit since his baseball career was shot due to a major knee injury.

And once the post pandemic lockdown began they both get locked up in this one fancy apartment complex called Le Ciel along with Sebom too. Yihyun, Jungguk and Sebom all live together in an apartment in Le Ciel.

Later on they take in a little girl but that’s besides the point. There was a particular scene where Jungguk takes a bunch of selfies with Yihyun to send to his wife because she thinks that he went fishing and doesn’t believe that he is trapped in that apartment and Yihyun goes, I don’t believe it either…..then Jungguk goes what do you mean? Then Yihyun goes…..me being like this with you but the way Yihyun looked at Jungguk felt like Bromance to me.

THE WOOGA SQUAD from FRIENDCATION

OMG! ULTIMATE BROMANCE IS THE WOOGA SQUAD! They are not shy to tackle each other. tickle each other, hug each other……they don’t shy away from physical affection…maybe the only thing that’s off limits is probably kissing each other in the mouth, other than that anything is game.

I think Hyunsik is the most physically affectionate……it kinda makes sense when you think about how he grew up….He grew up in a loving home and his father’s a very affectionate man. This may sound weird to some but I read in an interview recently that Sikkie and his dad still kiss each other…of course not in that kinda of way………It’s more like the way family members kiss each other in Europe or Latin America.

Either way, THE WOOGA SQUAD HANG with each other when their schedule permits them to do so, they karaoke, cook, talk about their inner most thoughts, hug each other, play together, go to the sauna together, joke with each other, eat with each other and even sleep on the same bed together….Now this is TRUE BROMANCE! I TOTALLY DIG HYUNGSIK, SOEJOON,WOOSHIK, PEAKBOY AND THE BABY TAE!

Han Seon Woo and Kim Dong Hyun from Soundtrack

Well, in Soundtrack there really isn’t a room more Bromance or anything resembling male bonding. The closest would be Kim Dong Hyun, Seonwoo’s senior photographer friend that he lives with. From what I gathered, they are roommates and occasionally he gets kicked out of their because his girlfriend comes over to spend the night. I didn’t see a whole lot of male bonding but at least I am confident enough to say this, he is kinda like a mentor to Seonwoo and he wishes him the best of luck to succeed so he can become the best photographer that he can be.

Oh and I could not find a pic of that roommate and senior photographer guy so I’m using the pic of Seonwoo and Eunsoo.

The Crown prince Lee Hwan and Sergeant Han from Our Blooming Youth

The crown prince Lee Hwan and Sergeant Han have been friends since they were children. And as adults they are good friends as well but their friendship was put to the test on various occasions. I can’t say there was the modern day Bromance in the very ultra conservative Joseon period. They talk to each other like what male confidants did in those times…..The sad thing about this friendship is the one woman between them……..Min Jae Yi was supposed to marry Sergent Han but she ends up falling in love with his best friend……..The thing about these two men were all about trust and trust is a big thing in friendship which I totally understand.

Jo Myungsoo and Choi Youngdo from The Heirs

These two were buddies. Myungsoo would tell Youngdo about his feelings for Bona and stuff….They are super good friends but I don’t know if it counts as Bromance cus they don’t get physical with eac other much….maybe I should rewatch it again to be sure but not from what I could remember no physical stuff.
