A fellow Hyungsik fangirl friend sent me this the other day through one of our chat sessions on the common section…..but I’ve been debating weather I should actually do a post on it or not. This song is kinda special to me cus I sort of grew up with this song…..And I love making playlists on spotify and I made a playlist with really prominent female singers of all different eras and genres and Vanessa Carlton’s Thousand Mile was one of the songs on that list but anyways….when my fellow fangirl friend sent me this video…..I was hesitant to watch it and part of it was because I was already able to hear him sing this song in my head and I was able to picture how he would sound singing this song and how his English would sound too.
I was super hesitant to the point where I just kinda watched the video without sound at first but I bit the bullet and listened to it with one earphone on. The reason I was so hesitant was this, I was scared that I would fall in love with him even harder…….I never had a crush on a SCORPIO CELEB before…Yoo Chang Soo from High Society was right….. Being stung by a SCORPIO hurts big time! Maybe this is part of the reason why I avoided him for so long….but anyways……….
I know this may sound funny but as a Native English speaker I couldn’t help but to get into that silly critiquing mode. His pronounciation was pretty good but I can’t say it was excellent but it actually was pretty decent. I have heard other Korean singers try singing in English, and a lot of the times they were kinda bad……Koreans have similar problems with the Japanese with the Rs and the Ls……Sikkie had that problem….Everything else was great except for the Rs and the Ls..If I were to give him a percentage for singing this song, it would be 95%! That’s actually really good!
There was a word Crowd in the lyrics……”Making my way through the Crowd….” The R almost sounded like an L to me for some reason…..and also when he sang the part…”And now I wonder…” He made Wonder sounded like WUHNDUR…….I thought it was cute either way…I’m not making fun of him by any means, just noticing how cute he was trying to pronounce words that he wouldn’t normally use…
Oh and the song does speak to fangirls like Me and Brina…..It almost sounds personal to us….

That part really got me…………I was like of course I think of you…all the time all day everyday 24/7…DUH! That’s so obvious…I got all snappy when he sang that part……I’ve been feeling very catty cus of him! Argh……..
Now, everytime I hear this song Hyungsik is gonna pop up and ruin me…Dang it! HYUNGSIK WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?!!!!!!!!!!!
