Taehyung went to talk to Jen.
“Jen, what are you doing? Are you busy?”
Taehyung asked Jen, a little nervous. He had to try to convince Jen to go get some wood with Hyungsik.
“Not in particular, do you have something for me to do? That’s what it looks like?” Jen said with a small giggle.
“Yeah,,,,,” Taehyung said carefully while scratching his head awkwardly.
“Okay … .what is it,Taehyung?”
“Don’t get mad at me for this…well … .the heating isn’t working so well in the house and it’s kinda cold here, even if it’s the summer time….”
Taehyung let out the most awkward laugh Jen has ever heard.
“Okay…and….” Jen started having weird feelings about this.
“Can you go get some wood for heating?”
“By myself?”
“No, of course not?”
“With who then…” Jen had a strange feeling but she wanted this to be true….
“With Hyungsik Hyung….”
“Oh…” Jen looked and sounded disappointed which made Taehyung kinda sad but he had no idea that Jen was actually happy. Jen actually wanted this. She wanted to have some kind of an excuse to talk to him again without the situation being too awkward and she felt this was the most perfect opportunity.
“So…….?” Taehyung wasn’t sure what Jen’s answer was.
“I will…I will go with him to get wood…..nothing to it … ..we should all help around here right?”
Taehyung was so shocked about this because he thought of trying to convince her to go with him would be so hard but it was rather easy … .He sighed while feeling relieved.
“Thanks Jen…..I love you! Muah!”
Taehyung gave Jen a big fat peck on the cheeks.
“Taehyung, you didn’t have to go that far….” Jen giggled because of the sudden peck on the cheeks.
Meanwhile Seojoon went to the other side of the house to talk to Hyungsik.
“Hyungsik ah, what ya doing? Are you busy?”
“No…just listening to some music and thinking?”
“Are you listening to Park Hyoshin again?”
“Yeah…….”
“Anyways, I have something for you to do…it seems like u have nothing better to do than listening to sappy songs and moping around….”
Hyungsik smiled but it was a sad kind of smile.
“Why don’t you help me out with something…it’s kinda chilly here huh??”
Hyungsik nodded.
“I know it’s weird cus it’s summertime but we are kinda up in the mountains so it’s still chilly here even in July!”
“Yeah, it is chilly…” Hyungsik agreed.
“So I was thinking we need some wood for heating since the heating system isn’t working properly for some reason…”
Seojoon lied…The heating system does work but they had to get Hyungsik and Jen alone somehow.
“Oh yeah?” Hyungsik felt a little suspicious about this.
“Can you and Jen go get some wood for me to heat up the place? Wooshik and Peakboy are out getting groceries, Brina is cleaning the house…Me and Taehyung are gonna go to the fish market to get some fresh fish….it seems like only you and Jen don’t have anything to do…..”
“Sure, I’ll go but my only worry is Jen…she might not want to be around me…..”
“Don’t worry, Taehyung texted me a few minutes go saying Jen is willing to go and do it…”
“Really?! Even if it’s just gonna be me and her?”
“Yep!”
Hyungsik was a little bit taken aback.
Hyungsik and Seojoon finished talking about how Taehyung and Jen were heading over there way.
Wooshik and Peakboy were putting the items Seojoon asked for in the cart carefully.
“Did we get everything?” Wooshik asked Peakboy.
“I think so, double check the list.”
Brina was cleaning the kitchen just to make sure that people can use it later to cook once the groceries arrive.
“Okay Jen! Hyungsik! Go and get some wood for me…Hyungsik, make sure to take good care of Jen while you’re out there, It can be a little rough out there in the woods.”
Seojoon gave the two younger ones the command but he was happy and excited that they will finally make up.
Taehyung and Seojoon were giggling softly although Hyungsik and Jen weren’t even paying attention.
“Gaja, let’s go.” Hyungsik said to Jen.
Jen was kinda happy to be around Hyungsik again…She had no idea what came over her the other day.The other day was the peak of their awkwardness but now they are both getting prepared to come down from it.
For some reason Brina was kinda sad, as she knew that the two are gonna be making up pretty soon. Oddly enough, Brina rather enjoyed Jen and Hyungsik apart. She felt guilty for thinking that though.
“Take care! You two, be careful out there!” Seojoon said and Taehyung waved at both of them and wished them luck.
Hyungsik was so nervous but so was Jen.
“Let’s go get a big black trash bag and a cart to fill up the wood.”
Hyungsik said with confidence.
“Okay……”
Jen was so happy to be near him again, that voice, that gaze, that smell … .Jen forgot how wonderful it was to be around him like this. This made him think about the good ol days of joking around, playing together and even flirting a little.
Jen had a hard time climbing the hills since she hasn’t worked out for long so she was losing balance so Hyungsik was helping her out by giving her his hand.
“Here, hold on to my hand…this should help…you should work out more…..” Hyungsik said with an awkward smile.
“I know right? Thanks oppa….”
Hyungsik was so happy to hear that word again….she hasn’t said that word to him for like a month now and was bugging him.
“It’s been awhile since you called me that, you know that right?”
“Sorry, I don’t know what’s gotten over me, acting all weird…”
Hyungsik just realized that he forgot an ax to chop up the wood.
“Jen, we need to go back and get an ax…it’s not too far away so it’ll be quick…..if you are tired I can give you a piggyback ride…”
“I think I’m good oppa…..I can walk…”
Hyungsik held Jen’s hand and carefully led her down the hill and walked back over to the house to get the ax.
“There, now we can actually go get some wood hahaha…”
Hyungsik’s playful character was coming back slowly but surely since he hasn’t been his usual playful self due to Jen treating him a certain way.
Hyungsik went to the toolshed and got just one ax.
“Just one?”
“Jen…I don’t think you’ll be able to chop down them woods…can you?”
“I guess not…”
“Alright then…”
The two left for the woods again and Hyungsik managed to chop down some good amounts of wood and they both agreed that it was a good amount of wood. Hyungsik looked pretty beat but since Jen didn’t do much other than being a moral support and picking up the woods and bagging them, she wasn’t as tired as Hyungsik but she still was to some degree.
