“What?! Tonight?!”
Jen was okay with going on this sudden road trip but a little taken aback cus it’s so soon…
“Yeah, tonight…..You are not okay with this….”
Jen scratched her head and said, “I mean it’s a bit sudden but I guess I’m fine with it…I think I might need it, maybe the nice fresh air could help me think straight…”
Brina was so scared that she would blow her cover but she was so relieved that Jen said okay, she couldn’t wait to let Seojoon know about it … .She excused herself and went to the bathroom quickly to let Seojoon know about it.
“Oppa, Jen said yes….”
“Really? Okay……Me and the boys are gonna leave first thing in the morning….” said Seojoon via text message.
“We are leaving tonight…it’s on such short notice but Jen said YES…”
“Good job Brina, thanks, I owe you one…..” Seojoon sent a smiley heart emoji to Brina.
“Hyung, what are you doing?” Hyungsik asked.
“Just texting Brina…”
Both Taehyung and Wooshik were in their rooms packing. Seojoon was also helping Hyungsik pack his bag too….
Hyungsik looked so out of it.
“You like her that much?” Seojoon asked the younger boy.
“Yea, there’s something different about Jen. She is not only pretty but she is so creative, and we both like spicy food. Also she loves to play video games and such…..”
Seojoon just smiled.
Brina came back to the room and Jen was wondering why she left the room so fast.
“Sorry, Jen, I had to use the bathroom really quickly..You know…nature calls sometimes at the most unexpected time….” Brina laughed so awkwardly even Jen thought it was strange but she shrugged it off.
“Let’s pack! I’m so excited!” said Jen and this threw off Brina a bit. Brina thought that trying to convince Jen to go on this trip would be so hard that while Jen was out, Brina was thinking about different scenarios of how to ask Jen about it.
“Okay, Jen let’s do that….” The girls were packing up their bags rather quickly.
“Done!” said Jen.
“Me too!” said Brina.
Seojoon sent Brina a text message address for this campsite so she could navigate. Brina quickly sent Seojoon an emoji saying that she got it.
Brina and Jen finally got into her little mini cooper. Brina quickly set the GPS navigation to the place. Brina connected her phone to the bluetooth speaker so they could both listen to some nice music while driving over to the place.
Jen was so very excited about the trip and she was settling in but a song sang by Hyungsik came on and it made her nervous. Brina was surprised again tonight because Jen did not change the music, she just sat quietly listening to Hyungsik’s melodic voice and it made her face red.
“Should I change the music?” Brina carefully asked Jen.
“No.” Jen said
Jen just leaned against the car door and listened to Hyungsik’s beautiful singing voice through the speakers and tears started to fall from her eyes but she wiped them away really fast because she didn’t want Brina to see it.
This campsite is a several hour drive from where they live and because of it the air felt very different, it’s more crisp and fresh than the big city.
Jen fell asleep to the music and Brina was driving deep in thought. Brina was teary eyed too because she fell in love with Hyungsik as well but her tears had a different meaning. Brina was teary eyed because she knew deep in her heart that her love won’t be returned to her.
Brina was happy to help Seojoon bring Hyungsik and Jen together but at the same time she felt like she’s making a mistake. She felt like she would have acted like those girls from her favorite Korean Dramas that she loves. If Brina were to act like those girls from her beloved KDramas, she would be trying to make Hyungsik hers instead of giving him away to her friend.
