I’m not gonna say too much about this one because I already wrote a review for it, a long one at that too. But I do want to take a brief moment to say that this show is what made people realize that Park Hyungsik really has potential. Ever since I became a fan I watched most of his major projects and I realized that he really has talent in acting. Most or maybe a lot of the actors and actresses that were part of an Idol group or still is, their acting usually lacks a bit but with Hyungsik he has a lot going for him.
Hyungsik is expressive and has a variety of ways to show that and What Happens to my family gave him the chance to showcase that talent unlike The Heirs…The Heirs was just too busy with other characters so they didn’t really have a chance to focus on Hyungsik’s talent but on What Happens to my family Hyungsik had a lot of chances to prove that he does have so much going for him. What happens to my family has a lot of characters and it’s pretty busy with so many people but the show was good at balancing out the air time of each characters and our dear Dalbong/ Hyungsik had so many chances to show us his acting chops. This is why I say that What Happens to my family is the beginning of this acting career officially, at least in my mind anyways. Because before that Hyungsik was just getting his feet wet….
