Park Hyungsik played many characters with many beautiful female counterparts. I want to write about them today in this article. I don’t know if I want to do the rating thing though because they were all pretty good in varying degrees. Initially I was going to rate each couple but I changed my mind but instead I’m just gonna write my thoughts about each of them so here it goes. However, I’m gonna go from my favorite to my least favorite even though I liked all of them……

Cha Dalbong and Kang Seowool- What Happens to my Family(2014)

I’d have to say this is my favorite of the favorite couple out of all of Park Hyungsik’s couples in the dramas that he’s been in up to this point and I have a good reason for it….One main reason is because these two felt so natural….It was so realistic that I sometimes forget that they are just acting. Another thing is I really dig the female counterpart’s character and the actress that plays her. The chemistry is not only through the roof but so natural……..Not too long ago my favorite Park Hyungsik couple was MinMin Bong Bong couple then I moved onto Yihyun and Sebom but constantly rewatching my What happens to my family DVD I completely changed my mind about my previous favorite couples despite the fact that I love the other two couples a lot too!

MY favorite thing about DalWool couple: Seowool makes Dalbong into a man! At the beginning of the show Dalbong is so immature and had a lot of growing to do but Seowool makes him into a thoughtful, mature and considerate man. Also I really loved the cute banters between the two and Kiss stamps that DalBong would give Seowool!

Jung Yihyun and Yoon Sebom- Happiness (2021)

This is another favorite couple of mine. Not too long ago it was my THE FAVORITE COUPLE when it came to Park Hyungsik and his female counterparts but constantly rewatching What Happens to my family made me change my mind. It’s strange because this couple was just as natural as the couple from What Happens to my family but somehow, they lost to Dalbong and Seowool couple. On a side note I must say Park Hyungsik looks so much better or rather healthier in Happiness than when he played Cha Dalbong. Don’t get me wrong now, he was cute back then when he was in What happens to my family but he really bulked up here for Happiness so he won extra brownie points from me for that. I do have to mention that Hyungsik’s chemistry with Han Hyojoo was so good! No, it was SUPERB!

My favorite thing about YiBom couple: Yihyun seems like a strong man that could take care of Sebom and vise versa. They seem both mentally strong to be there for one another in times of crisis. Yihyun kicks ass and so does Sebom. There aren’t a whole lot of romantic scenes between them but they were able to get the point across about their friendship/relationship without a lot of so called romantic moments.

Lee Hwan(Crowned Prince)/Scholar Park and Min Jaeyi/Go Soondol- Our Blooming Youth (2023)

Originally, I didn’t like this couple that much…..mainly because the actress just didn’t do it for me. However with repeat viewing I change my mind about that. Its funny because I seem to like this couple slightly more than that famous MinMin BongBong couple. I think park of the reason why this couple grew on me was the chemistry….and the chemistry felt good but different. The thing is, Park Hyungsik’s character is so repressed so being able to have a romantic situation with him wouldn’t be so easy so I defeintely give the actress and the character some credit for where it’s due since she was able to pull off getting girls like me to feel flustered, whenever she interacted with the prince……Their interactions were really really cute.

My favorite thing about HwanJae couple: The crowned prince is repressed and also restricted that he is not able to express himself much but in this case less is more. Because the crowned prince is so repressed that we get to see Min Jaeyi express herself to his crush, slightly more on the aggressive side but it’s still adorable nonetheless. I really enjoyed the tension and build up and the pay off later on. I couldn’t help but to feel flustered whenever Min Jaeyi was smiling at her crush, the crown prince.

Ahn Minhyuk and Do Bongsoon- Strong Woman Do Bongsoon (2017)

Oh My! I feel so bad for putting them all the way down here. I remember when I barely became Park Hyungsik fangirl like three months ago, this couple was at the top of the top but now they are all the way down here. Don’t get me wrong now, I still think this couple is cute as heck and that legendary piano kiss scene won’t be going anywhere soon but the more dramas I watch with Park Hyungsik in it, I was able to see what other couples were capable of. This couple was so adorable from the get go and it stood out so much cuz of the height difference. Park Hyungsik is like 6.0 while Park Bo Young is like 5.0…….

My favorite thing about MinBong couple: Just like in Our Bloomin Youth there was a lot of tension although, Minhyuk wasn’t really repressed and he was the one that expressed his feelings for Bongsoon more. I thought Minhyuk was such a cutie and he was very honest with his feelings unlike the crowned prince from Our Blooming youth. The actress Park Bo Young is significantly shorter than Park Hyunsik so I thought it was super cute when they were doing romantic stuff. My favorite of them all is defeintely the Kiss scene on the piano…….

Han Seonwoo and Lee Eunsoo- Soundtrack #1 (2022)

I really like this show and I like Han Seonwoo but they are all the way down here because of the actress. The chemistry was there but the actress lacked a little woomph! Maybe it’s cus she had to down play herself since these two characters have been friends since childhood and they were going from friendzone to being in an actual relationship….

However, I still like this couple for feeling very natural. They did look like a real couple that we would see in real life instead of on television. Seonwoo is such a romantic to love someone for so long. He is so devoted to one woman for eight years, roaming the road in that dangerous friendzone for such a long time. However, the end result is good and the pay off is great so I congradulate them! Actually, Seonwoo really earns the love from Eunsoo unlike a lot of male characters in these kinds of tv shows.

My favorite thing about SeonSoo couple: Han Seonwoo liked his childhood friend for so long that he looked just as repressed and restricted like the crown prince from Our Blooming youth. The Build up is fairly small but the pay off is good! I enjoyed the slow burning tension and I really like the moments when Eunsoo realizes that he doesn’t want to lose Seonwoo later on when she sees others hitting on her man Seonwoo. I do like the ending, the happy ending but I can’t help but to love the part where Eun Soo comes to realize her feelings that shes been hiding for a long time.

Yoo Changsoo and Lee Jiyi- High Society (2015)

This couple is like Cindrella and her prince, something that you would see in fairlytales and a show that’s almost like an after thought of Boys Over Flowers…..long after Boys Over Flowers ended! Honestly the female counterpart of this show was kinda, tad bit annoying…….I don’t know what it is about the actress but she kinda annoys me for some reason…….I still like the banters, push and pull and the chemistry and all but I just can’t seem to shake off the annoyance……

My favorite thing about ChangYi couple: I like the fact that Jiyi was doing the push and pull which made Changsoo work harder to pursue someone. Changsoo was so spoiled in the past that he was able to get any woman he wanted but never really went anywhere relationship wise. Jiyi taught Changsoo to appreciaute real women. I like the humor that both Changsoo and Jiyi have despite their class differences. Jiyi liked Changsoo but she didn’t want to be disappointed later so she would try her best to not pursue him but Changsoo kept on coming after her which was so cute.

Sam Maekjong/Kim Jindwi/Emeperor Jinheung of Shilla Dynasty and Kim Aro- Hwarang:The Road Warrior (2016)

This couple kinda lacks a little…It felt promising but seemed to be leading you into other paths that just felt confusing to me. I admit it, I wanted more from these two although they are not supposed to be the main couple….actually, not even a couple cus Kim Aro is supposed to be with Moo Myung played by Park Hyungsik’s bestie Park Seojoon! That fierce kiss that Sam Maekjong gave Kim Aro felt like a let down cus after that I wanted more from these two but I realized it wasn’t gonna be happening since Aro will be going to Moomyung in the end.

My favorite thing about SamRo couple: Man this is gonna be hard cus Aro just kept on pushing him away the whole time since the person that she’s into his Moomyung so I can’t really say anything about this couple per se……I guess if there is something it would be Aro encourages SamMakejong to follow his calling and also that passionate kiss that SamMaekjong gave to Aro……even though it’s one sided.

Yeo Jungwoo and Nam Haneul- Dr Slump- (Late 2023…..)

This show hasn’t even come out yet, it’s not gonna come out till the latter part of the year although I don’t know exactly when. I’m pretty excited to see Park Hyungsik again in something new and also I get to see him interact with Park Shinhye…..I saw them together in Heirs that came out in 2013 but they barely had any scenes together, they did but the scenes that they were in were so few that it almost felt non existent. It’s gonna be also exciting since Hyungsik will be reuniting with Yoon Park from What happens to my family.

I’m looking forward to the interaction between Park Hyungsik and Park Shinhye’s character since they are uniting after Heirs which was exactly ten years ago!

Jo Myungsoo and Lee Bona- The Heirs (2013)

Bona is just a good friend to Myungsoo although Myungsoo likes Bona as a girl…..However, Bona has a thing for the goody goody student Yoon Chanyoung.

Kwon Namwoo and Kim Joongeyom- Juror 8 (2019)

Kim Joongeyom is just one of the fellow jurors that he works with so there’s nothing romantic going on here.

Go Yeonwoo and Hong Damham- Suits (2018)

Go Yeonwoo works with women in this show but there’s nothing going on between his characters and female characters of this show.
