I’ve been fangirling over Park Hyungsik for a month now so I’ve been watching a whole bunch of dramas that he was in. The shows that I’ve really been into are Sountrack #1 and Happiness.
I really love both of these shows because I got to finally see Park Hyungsik in those boy next door hair and outfits more than anything. Although the premise and the execution of the shows were great too but I just really loved how Hyung Sik oppa looked in those shows.
In Sountrack #1 Park Hyung Sik plays a photographer name Han Seon Woo and he’s been in love with his childhood friend Lee Eun Soo for the past eight years, Han Seon who is such a beautiful one woman man. It’s really hard to find someone like that nowadays. Lee Eun Soo is played by actress Han So Hee and I think Sikkie oppa and the actress had a simple but good chemistry. The thing is Park Hyung Sik is such a chemistry maker so it makes sense that he has good chemistry with just about anyone and everyone that he interacts with on his various projects.
However, with this couple from Sountrack, there’s no nervous and intense energy like Ahn Min Hyuk and Do Bongsoon from Strong Woman Do Bongsoon but there is this very soothing energy between Han Seon Woo and Lee Eun Soo…It feels very real, it doesn’t feel like a deep seeded dramatic couple. The only unrealistic thing about it is the fact that men these days wouldn’t love someone for 8 years and then some to just wait for them constantly without anything in return.
Jung Yi Hyun and Yoon Sebom is a similar couple to the one above. Yi Hyun liked Sebom since High School so he is very devoted to one woman in his life. Jung Yi Hyun is a detective although he was a somewhat famous high school baseball player and he wanted to be a career baseball player after graduation but that didn’t happen because of his knee injury.
I really liked both shows because they both deal with real relationships. They both didn’t feel like as if I’m watching a TV show and the characters didn’t feel like fictional characters either. They made these fictional characters come to life and because of that they were so relatable to me.
Both Han Seon Woo and Jung Yi Hyun love their female counterparts truly and feels so natural unlike a lot of other shows that are rom-com and even the shows that are not romantic comedy.
