Kim Bum played characters in dramas where he interacts with many different people on a personal level. Sometimes, it leads directly to something called a relationship but other times we can only speculate. Whether the relationships are cannon or not, there are some characters you wished was made a reality in the show. So here I go through the lists of the main people that Kim Bum’s characters intereacted with that could have possibly turned into a relationship or something close to it. The only shows I didn’t include are: East of Eden, Hidden Idenity and MS Cop 2 cus these roles had nothing to do with even having a romantic relationship of any kind of shape or form. I’m going to rate the couples that have possibilities from 10-1. Of course 10 being the best and 1 being not so good at all. So here it goes.

Ghost Doctor (2022)- TakJung(Go Seung Tak and Oh Soo Jung)- 9.6

I give this couple a 9.6…Initially, I didn’t want to give this couple a high rating but the more I rewatch this show they actually have a good chemistry. The first time I watched this show I felt the chemistry between the two but it wasn’t intense or super strong but they grow on you the more you watch and I’m so glad I realized that watching the show over and over again. However I’m sad that they didn’t get together onscreen. You know that Seung Tak likes Soo Jung since he would check her out, dream about her while squeezing his pillows saying her name,while lyaing down on his bed. Also Soo Jung confesses to him in passing and he finally realizes that she likes him too and he teases her about it. Kim Bum himself said in an interview that he was disappoined that the show didn’t close out their relationship and I feel the same. I thought Soo Jung was cute when she was showing Seung Tak how jealous she was when she kept on seeing Seung Tak with Sejin even though it was really Dr Cha inside of him. Also, how can I not love the way Soo Jung Shows her feelings through smacking Seung Tak’s back whenever he’s fooling around and slacking off at work. Then he goes, “Ah Crystal!” I really like the way these two interact with each other, although I did not feel that way the very first time I watched this show. However, that has completely changed with multiple viewings!

Ghost Doctor (2022)- TakJin(Go Seung Tak and Jang Sejin) 9.3

From the same show. I was just gonna do TakJung but I felt like I should add TakJin as well because when I initially watched this show I kinda went for TakJin instead of TakJung. I know some would go WTF because Sejin is Young Min’s lady but since Seung Tak gets posscesed by Doctor Cha quite often and the outer shell is still Go Seung Tak so it seems okay to ship them together. I thought there was a chemistry between them oddly enough so I give this couple a 9.3. I loved the little dates that they would go on while Cha Youngmin poscesses Seung Tak’s body. The concert scene, Sejin putting bandage on his injured hand, Him making her a meal, Seijin taking him out to eat, Going to Sejin’s favorite clothing store and more. These little scenes make me want to ship them even though Sejin is really not Seung Tak’s love interest…….

Ghost Doctor (2022) – TakMin( Go Seung Tak and Cha Youngmin)- 9.7

Another Ghost Doctor couple! I give them a 9.7! It’s more of a bromance than an actual full blown relationship but I want to keep that open for people that still want to actually ship them as boyfriends. These two have the best onscreen chemistry. Kim Bum’s character Go Seung Tak has a darn near perfect chemistry with Cha Youngmin compared to his actual love interest Oh Soo Jung and Young Min’s love interest Jang SeJin when Youngmin Pocesses Seung Tak’s body. The way they bicker, but the strange way they care about each other despite their love/hate relationship, you just can’t help but to get sucked into their super chemistry. Maybe part of it is because they share a body together quite often and that makes them unite in some spiritual way or something.

Law School (2021)- JoonSol A(Han Joonhwi and Kang Sol A)- 9.9 1/2

I was so yearning for this couple to be official. You can so tell that Han Joonhwi likes Kang Sol A although Kang Sol A herself is so dense about it. At least the show mentions about Kang Sol B’s feelings for Joonhwi but it never mentions Kang Sol A or even Joonhwi himself talking about their feelings for each other. I get it, they didn’t want this to fall into the trap of a Rom-Com or a melodrama real fast which sometimes shows can lose track of their main premise. However, I think they could’ve given us a little more without losing track of what they were trying to do. Han Joonhwi treats everybody nice and with respect but you can obviously see that he treats Sol A differently than the others. Maybe part of it is cus she struggles the most but that’s still not a good excuse. Joonhwi makes sure she’s always okay, he nags at her to do things, looks out for her little sister Byul, makes sure her and her sister are safe at night, gives her a can of soda, makes her hangover soup in the morning and more…..I remember when I first became a fan of my Beommie oppa, I was a huge SoEul shipper which I still am but I think once I saw JoonSolA it was all over for me…..I’m a huge huge huge JoonSol A shipper so that’s why I’m giving them a 9.9 1/2…that’s almost a perfect 10!

Law School (2021)- JoonSolB (Han Joonhwi and Kang Sol B)- 9.5

It’s so hard to find a good photo of Kang Sol B on the internet which is a shame. I still ship Han Joonhwi with Sol A but there are cute moments between Joonhwi and Sol B as well…That one particular scene with the the glasses made me want to ship Joonhwi and Sol B a little bit. I loved how Sol B was trying to keep her cool being so close to Han Joonhwi but probably deep within her heart and mind, she was shaking being so darn close to her crush. Also the scene where she was inside of a taxi and witnessing Joonhwi and Sol A playfully walking to school, those little moments made me want to sometimes want to ship Joonhwi and Sol B instead. It seems like Sol B is more in touch with her feelings than Sol A. However I can understand that Sol B has more leisure time to think about the matters of the heart since she is from a well to do family while Sol A lives in a different social economic environment so therefore, Sol A doesn’t have the leaisure to think about relationships. I want to give them a 9.5 rating as a couple.

Law School (2021)- JoonSeul( Han Joonhwi and Jeon Yeseul)- 8.5

Yeseul is a bit of a glamour type. However her boyfriend Go Youngchang abuses her and treats her badly. Her boyfriend Go Youngchang even thinks that she is two timing him by going out with Han Joonhwi on the side which is not true. I can’t really see them together but it doesn’t seem completely out of it either. There were times when Han Joonhwi was helpful towards Yeseul. Joonhwi along with Sol A tried to help her return to the school fair and square, she just got back from meeting with Go Youngchang but she fell due to him hurting her then Joonhwi would run over to her to help her get up and such. Yeseul even compliments him saying he looked cool when he was in the courtroom but she has no romantic feelings towards him, and he doesn’t either. It’s just Han Joonhwi is kind to all of his study group members. Also another male character named Min Bokgi likes her….I would rather ship Yeseul and Bokgi instead of Joonhhwi and Yeseul. However, Han Joonhwi is such a good looking guy that his visuals can go well with any girl…and that’s including the glamourous Jeon Yeseul.

P.S: I couldn’t find any Jeon Yeseul photo by herself…..

Boys Over Flowers (2009)- SoEul( So YiJung and Chu Gaeul)- 9.8

This Couple is very special to me because it’s my first Kim Bum couple I ever shipped. Their chemistry was through the roof kinda like JoonSolA. But at least they have a happy ending because So Yijung does come for her after living in Sweden for about four years. It’s a bit different from the manga and the anime. In the Anime Sojiro does hit on Yuuki but they don’t really go anywhere with it. In the manga Yuuki has more interactions with Sojiro but they just sleep together once and end it with a beautiful memory. However, in this Korean version the Korean Sojiro, So Yijung and the Korean Yuuki, Chu Gaeul do somewhat get a happy ending which I was rather happy with. The chemistry was so good when they go out on their fake dates, their interaction during their New Caledonia Trip, and their almost kiss …..Their almost kiss is so legendary that, so many fans wrote fanfics cus they didn’t get what they want. I mean, Jandi got to kiss both Junpyo and Jihoo but Gaeul just had to settle with An Almost Kiss? No Fair! This couple gets a solid 9.8……

Boys Over Flowers (2009)- SoJae( So YiJung and Cha EunJae)-8.5

I give them an 8.5…They do have a chemisry but it’s just bland chemistry…Maybe it’s supposed to be that way since she’s just a childhood friend who had potential of becoming more but Yijung blew it.

Boys Over Flowers (2009)- SoDi(So Yijung and Geum Jandi)- 6.0

I really can’t see Yijung with Jandi at all……I give them a 6.0…….Honestly, Jandi looks the best with Jihoo out of the F4 males.

Boys Over Flowers (2009)- SoBin(So Yijung and Song WooBin)-8.5

This is kinda like a bromance too and they did have a chemistry as buddies in the F4 but it’s not as perfect as Go Seung Tak and Cha Youngmin pair. These two had similar intrests in the F4. Jihoo slept most of the time and played his instruments and Junpyo was busy constantly chasing Jandi or him being chased by his powerful mother. However, Yijung and Woobin had the same hobby which was going to clubs and hunting down the ladies. Also when Woobin wanted to end it all, Yijung was there for him and when Yijung was getting beat up by bunch of guys, Woobin came to the rescue.

The tale of the nine tailed (2020)- Lee Rang and Ki Yuri-9.4

I ship Lee Rang and Ki Yuri. There were so many cute moments of them. Lee Rang takes Yuri in and trains her when she was being treated badly by humans in the zoo. Lee Rang trains her, feeds her and kinda takes care of her. Lee Rang is cold hearted to most people, even to his own brother. He detests humans and isn’t so fond of loving relationships but he treats Yuri differently. He would pat her on the head, allows her to kiss him, he would even joke with her playfully, and wipe her tears with a hankerchief. I kinda wanted something between them instead of Yuri hooking up with Shinjoo. There was no chemistry between Yuri and Shinjoo, it’s the most bland couple ever. However, when I see Lee Rang and Yuri together I feel this electricity through the screen. I end up yearning for them…..no wonder there are lots of fanfics going around regarding these two.

The Tale of the nine tailed (2020)- Lee Rang and Nam Jiah- 7.0

Well, first of all Nam Jiah is Lee Yeon’s love interest so there’s really nothing but there’s occasional chemistry between them…..It’s when they encounter for the first time when Lee Rang was in his casual clothes in glasses and also the scenes where they are both in the country side. Lee Rang holds the Moby Dick book trying to convince Jiah and when Lee Rang steps closer to her I felt a little something but that’s where it ends.

The tale of the nine tailed (2020)- Lee Rang and Lee Yeon- 7.5

Lee Rang and Lee Yeon are brothers. Lee Yeon is a full blown fox while Lee Rang is a half fox. Lee Rang’s hate for Lee Yeon goes back 600 years and Lee Rang ends up hating humans since his brother choose a human woman over him. They have chemistry despite the fact that their rivals and enemies. I think it’s cus Kim Bum and Lee Dong Wook are actually close in real life and that’s why their chemistry shines despite their characters hating each other.

She Still wants to marry (2010)- Ha Minjae and Lee Shinyoung-8.8

This couple is rather cringy…..It’s not the age difference that bothers me much since he is an adult although he is a lot younger than her. I think it’s Ha Minjae the character that’s a little too doting on the Noona. I don’t mind the doting but sometimes I feel like he overdoes it. It’s cute though since he is in touch with his emotions unlike So Yijung from Boys Over Flowers. As far as their chemistry goes, it was decent. There were moments when you can’t help but to squeal like when he goes super close and tries to kiss her while everyone is watching.

That Winter the wind blows (2013)- Park Jin Sung and Moon Hee Sun-9.1

Park Jinsung and Moon Heesun are childhood friends, they have known each other for a long time. Jinsung liked her for a very long time but Heesun would always push him away cus she had a thing for Oh Soo, which was her older sister’s boyfriend. It takes her awhile to open her heart to Jinsung, which she eventually does. They end up as an official couple in the show, towards the later part of the series. Jinsung’s father wanted him to go for it instead of just waiting around for her. The night when Heesun was doing a little ceremony/ritual for her older sister that passed away and she was in her room alone with Jinsung late at night. Jinsung’s father asked him if anything happened and such. As far as the chemistry goes, it was there and it was rather cute. I loved the part when Heesun decides to go along for the ride on his motorcycle, her telling him if she should date him while they were in the car together and them finally kissing while on his motorcycle together. Now that I think about it, I don’t think any of Kim Bum characters got to kiss his love interest besides Moon Hee Sun from That winter, the wind blows and maybe Lee Shinyoung from She still wants to marry.

Padam Padam (2011)- Lee Gook Soo and Yang GangChil- ???

I don’t have much to say about these two since I barely watched only one episode of this show. However, just by the one episode and some stills on the intrnet….I don’t really feel much of anything…..Maybe, I’ll come and edit this part once I’m done with the show…Perhaps then I would have more to say about these two?

Unstoppable Highkick (2006-2007)-BeomMin (Kim Bum and Lee Minho)- 9.5

OMG! Kim Bum and Lee Minho are best friends in the show. They are so close that they would hug each other so much that it would give people the wrong idea. Some say they are not just friends, but they are more than friends. And that’s how close they are. They would go, “Bum-ah, Minho-ya…” then they would hug….Although Minho’s lil brother Yoonho would give them a hard time or Yoomi, Minho’s girlfriend would give them a hard time about it too. Some say that MInho would be better off with Bum than Yoomi…However, I have a mixed opinion about that but then again, they really do have a real good chemistry…it’s pretty through the roof for best buddies or even bromance.

Unstoppable Highkick (2006-2007)- Kim Bum and Kang Yoomi-9.0

Kang Yoomi is Lee Minho, Kim Bum’s best friend’s girlfriend but there are times I feel like there’s more chemistry between Bum and Yoomi….There is a friendly?chemistry between Yoomi and Minho but whenever Bum is with Yoomi I feel this strange chemistry between them…..The strange thing is even when they are arguing, fighting and bickering it just feels like a lovers quarrel to me. Also Yoomi has a secret but only Bum knows about it and when Minho finds this out later he is pretty furious about it.

Goddess of Fire (2013)- Kim Tae Do and Jungyi/Yoo Jung- 8.9

I think Kim Tae Do and Yoo Jung have a good and healthy chemistry but it’s not super intense though…Maybe because I didn’t finish the show yet. It’s so cute when Jung calls Tae Do Orabuni which means older brother in Korean. It’s a more old fasion way of sayingold brother in Korean than oppa that most people tend to use these days. It’s funny cus Kim Bum and Moon Geun Young dated in real life for 7months and maybe that’s why they looks so cute together. I looked at all the ladies who played Kim Bum’s love interest and I can see how he ended up with Moon Geun Young foreals…..The most important ting is, Moon Geun Young is a real shortie….and according to an interiew I read and also a video I watched where Beommie oppa was in London England, he said when he looks at a girl he looks at their height. For some reason, he likes really short girls,and out of all his love interests, Moon Geun Young is the shortest one.
