Regarding the drama Remember: War of the Son

Remember War of the son 01~

This show is more interesting than what I initially thought. I remember reading the synopsis and didn’t really do anything for me at all. The only thing I cared about was the fact that OUR LOVELY YOO SEUNG HO was THE MAIN PERSON and that drew me in. However, story wise, I wasn’t so sure though. When I originally read the basic premise regarding this particular program I couldn’t help but to think that it’s just a typical melodrama. However, despite the fact that it is still a melodrama but it’s not one of those typical ones . This drama contains more  crime, suspense, mystery, thriller and law. Of course, it’s normal to have a melodramtic element for a crime drama and there is another show similar to this  called I MISS YOU/MISSING YOU.

I guess a show like this proves that even melodrama could be a lot of fun if it is written in an interesting and creative way. Remember is certainly similar to I MISS YOU/MISSING YOU that YOO SEUNG HO was in a couple of years ago but I think it has an interesting twist thus far. Only 4 episodes are out and there are 24 episodes in total, so we have 20 more episodes to go.

Since I am a big time fangirl of Seung Ho, I’d be willing to watch anything and everything that he is in so I wouldn’t mind giving any of his stuff a try and that’s what I did with REMEMBER. Of course, Seung Ho seems to never disappoint me. I thought that maybe I could be biased to him but I am not. The more stuff I see him in he just makes me have my mouth wide open because he is so darn good at what he does. He is  Very charming and talented.

I can’t help but to be critical when it comes to Seung Ho’s co-stars and I wasn’t so sure about Park Min Young. Park Min Young is the main female lead in this show and since I am not familiar with her, I was somewhat concerned just like Jo Hye Jung from Imaginary Cat. However, just like how Jo Hye Jung proved to me that she was worthy of being Seung Ho’s leading lady, so did Park Min Young.

The story is also very interesting, despite the fact that there are some similarities with I MISS YOU/MISSING YOU. This show is by SBS AND MISSING YOU was made by MBC but since these two dramas are so similar that they look like they are from the same company.

I am not gonna stop right before this post gets too long. Since this is not a review so I think it would be a good idea to just not say much more. However, I will be writing a review about this show but I am not sure if I should do it by episode like Imaginary Cat. For Imaginary Cat I will be doing the per episode thing and once the show is over I will do an overall review so I wonder if I should do the same thing for Remember:  War of the son. The thing is this show is much longer so maybe I should just do an  overall one, after the show is completely over?
