I am a fangirl of both Korean Dramas and Anime. Naruto has been a show that I have watched a lot in the past. However, I don’t really watch it anymore since it got too long for me but Naruto has plenty of  characters so it’s perfect to come up with my own equivalent by choosing relevant Korean actors/actresses.

Many times when I watched the anime series I like,  I would ask myself which characters would fit perfectly for the Korean actors/actresses that I tend to like a lot. And since, Naruto is the right anime for me to do my own casting, here it is. 

 

TEAM 7

Naruto Uzumaki: Yeo Jin Goo

Yeo Jin Goo seems like a good fit because he seems playful enough to be Naruto and Warrior Baek Dong Soo made me think that he can be kinda silly and also be a kick ass martial artist.

Sasuke Uchiha: Yoo Seung Ho

I feel like nobody could play Sasuke in the K-Drama world besides Yoo Seung Ho. Yoo Seung Ho is good at being someone that is a little disturbed emotionally and even psychologically. I miss you is the show that proved to me that he is quite capable for him to be Sasuke.

Sakura Haruno: Go Ah Sung

 

I tried to look into many different options for Sakura but I can’t seem to find anyone appropriate as Go Ah Sung. A girl that would be playing Sakura has to be playful enough and also be quite determined for something she wants. In the beginning Sakura isn’t really motivated for anything but later she finds her calling in her life which is to become a kunoichi (Medical Ninja). I think Sakura is similar to Go Ah Sung’s character in Master of Study. Also, I think that Go Ah Sung’s personality is similar to Sakura in real life and on top of that her physicality fits perfectly to be Sakura.

Kakashi Sensei: Joo Ji Hoon

 

 

I uploaded a post about Korean actors as Anime characters and back then I chose Joo Ji Hoon as Kakashi Sensei too and I don’t intend to change my mind about that. Joo Ji Hoon’s outer appearance seems to be quite similar to Kakashi Sensei…I think it’s the height perhaps?

 

TEAM 8

 

 

Hinata Hyuga: Park Eun Bin

 

 

 

 

 

Hmmm…At first I was gonna have Moon Geun Young  be Hinata but Park Eun Bin fits as Hinata more physicality wise. Also, this girl’s mannerisms seem to be similar to Hinata as well. I think Park Eun Bin would be good at being very shy, just from what I have seen of her in various dramas. Look at this girl, she is very paled and Hinata seems to be quite fair skinned as well.

 

 

 

 

Shino Aburame: Lee Jong Hyun

This was a tough one. I had a hard time coming up with Shino but I chose Jong Hyun from CN BLUE to be Shino because he seems a little out of it. I don’t know, Shino looks like he is in his own little world a lot of the times and so does Jong Hyun.

 

Kiba Inuzuka: Jung Yong Hwa

Kiba is a very outgoing character and he is quite active too. Kiba is such a little kid at heart with bountiful energy. Jung Yong Hwa seems to be very sociable and looks like the type that would love dogs. However, this  is totally based on the way he looks though. Yong Hwa looks like he is very much a kid at heart and also he seems to have a lot of energy to run around like a wild child.

 

Kurenai Yuhi: Doona Bae

 

 

 

Doona Bae is the only woman that could play Kurenai Yuhi. Kurenai sensei is supposed to be almost like a mother figure and a big sister. She was able to pull off a role like that in Master of Study, so I think she would do quite well as Kurenai. Also, Doona seems to look similar to the teacher for TEAM 8, however, I couldn’t find a picture with the same hair style which is a bummer.

 

TEAM 10

 

Ino Yamanaka: Kim Yoo Jung

 

 

 

At first, I was gonna pick Park Ji Yeon from T-Ara to be Ino Yamanaka. Park Ji Yeon plays a girl that has a crush on Yoo Seung Ho’s character in Master of Study and she kinda treats Go Ah Sung’s character as a rival once she finds out that they like each other. On top of that Park Ji Yeon blindly crushes on Yoo Seung Ho in that drama and so does Ino in a way  in Naruto, so that’s why I was gonna choose Ji Yeon to be Ino but something just felt off about her and I think it was the way she looks.

Kim Yoo Jung doesn’t have the right hair in this picture but if you color her hair blonde and put it up in a pony tail she would make a good, I think. I feel that Yoo Jung has the right look for Ino Yamanaka. Personality wise, I am not really sure but I think it’s more of a hunch than anything. I wished I knew more about this girl but I think she has the right look as long as she does something about her hair.

 

Shikamaru Nara: Kim Jae Wook

 

 

Kim Jae Wook is the perfect man for Shikamaru. I don’t think there is anyone that could play Shikamaru in the K-Drama world other than this dude. Kim Jae Wook already has that sharp look to begin with, this guy and Shikamaru have similar eyes. I managed to find a photo that’s quite similar to Shikamaru since he has a half pony tail and all.

 

 

Choji Akimichi: Lee Chan Ho

 

 

Most people choose Shindong from a  KPOP BOYBAND SUPER JUNIOR for Choji  but I think this guy is a lot better. Choji is an innocent dude and Lee Chan Ho is just like that too,  in Master of Study and also in that show this boy loves to eat meat and so does Choji.

 

Asuma Sensei: Joo Jin Mo

Joo Jin Mo is a good fit for Asuma Sensei since he has that rough manly look. I also managed to find a photo of him looking all scuzzy with a beard. Too bad he doesn’t have a cigarette in his mouth but you can tell that this guy smokes from the look of his face.

 

 

TEAM GUY

 

Rock Lee: Lee Hyun Woo

I remember I was gonna cast Lee Hyun Woo as Kiba but I changed my mind. This dude seems like he would go all out for a girl he likes. Lee Hyun Woo seems to be have a lot of energy like Rock Lee. This picture proves that he could become Rock Lee, just like that. Boy, he looks good in a bowl cut!

 

Neji Hyuga: Ji Chang Wook

 

 

Ji Chang Wook was very silly in Warrior Baek Dong Soo, however when he was into fighting he was quite determined like Neji. I was gonna have Ji Chang Wook be Naruto so he could compete with Yoo Seung Ho’s Sasuke since they were rivals in Warrior Baek Dong Soo as well but I felt that Ji Chang Wook seemed slightly too old to be Naruto. I was looking for a guy that looks good in long hair and I felt that Ji Chang Wook was awesome in with  lengthy hair style,  so this is why he is Neji.

 

Ten Ten: Moon Geun Young

 

 

 

I was originally gonna have Moon Geun Young be Hinata but visually she suited Ten Ten a lot more with her childlike and youthful face. I could totally imagine Geun Young doing similar kinds of martial arts as Ten Ten.

 

Maito Gai: Park Chul Min

 

Maito Gai should be a fun man I thought and in the K-Drama world the one that comes to mind was Park Chul Min. This guy is usually very funny in the dramas he is in. Maito Gai is not necessarily funny but more in the silly side of things but I thought they kinda resemble each other in a way.

 

 

THE SAND NINJAS

Gaara: Ahn Do Kyu

 

 

I was gonna have Ahn Do Kyu be Sasori since he is a tad bit younger but I think this kid is perfect as Gaara. Gaara is a bit intimidating for a youngster and I felt the same way about this boy in I Miss You.

 

Kankuro: Lee Jun Ki

 

 

 

I don’t know about Lee Jun Ki’s personality but he seems to be just right to be Kankuro. I saw some images of Kankuro without his makeup and he wasn’t the most good looking man but he was still decent looking with very sharp eyes. Lee Jun Ki is not the prettiest boy out there but he still has that charismatic look with very intense eyes.

 

Temari: Shin Min Ah

 

 

Temari has to be someone that could go head on with a male, so in other words an actress that is gonna be Temari has to be spunky like a tomboy. I thought and thought about it and I thought Shin Min Ah is the best fit for that. At first I thought about Ha Ji Won but I honestly think Shin Min Ah is better as Temari because of her physicality.

 

 

THE THREE SEININS

 

Jiraya: Lee Moon Shik

 

 

 

Jiraya is a fun teacher and also a bit on the perverted side and I thought this man could be good as Jiraya. The only thing that doesn’t fit is the looks since this guy seems to be a little bit more wrinkly than Jiraya. Also, I kinda feel bad because of the woman that I chose for Tsunade.

 

Tsunade: Kim Hye Soo

 

The main reason why I chose her as Tsunade was cause of her being a little top heavy. Tsunade looks a lot younger than her age and so does this woman so those were the two reasons why I chose her as Tsunade.

 

 

Orochimaru: Jo Min Ki

 

 

 

 

 

When I saw this man on Flames of Desire I thought he was kinda scary because on the surface he came off to be a normal guy but he had this hidden potential that was a bit on the evil side. In other words if you trigger his bad side he can turn out to be like Orochimaru, it’s all in the eyes. There seems to be this evilness deep within his eyes somewhere.

 

THE AKATSUKIS

 

Itachi Uchiha: Jo Hyun Jae

 

 

Itachi isn’t necessarily evil in my opinion, I think he is a bit misunderstood. Jo Hyun Jae’s character in Yongpal was similar to that. The main reason why I decided to have Jo Hyun Jae to be Itachi was because of the eyes. Both Itachi and Jo Hyun Jae’s eyes here seem like they are hiding a deep seeded pain.

 

Kisame: Jo Jae Hyun

 

 

Both this man and Kisame look like they have been through a lot just by looking into their faces.

 

Deidara: Jang Geun Seuk

 

Nobody can play Deidara except for Jang Keun Seuk. Deidara is a bit wild and so is Jang Keun Seok. Deidara seems like a fun loving character and Jang Geuk Seuk loves a little bit of fun too.

 

 

OTHERS

 

Sai: Lee Jong Seok

 

 

Honestly, I don’t know too much about Sai. Sai doesn’t appear till Shippuden and I haven’t watch much of that so I don’t know a whole lot as far as his personality and what not but I chose Lee Jong Seok as Sai because of the looks. They are both tall and lanky. This particular picture made me think about Sai even more, maybe it’s because of the hair?

 

 

 

Sasori: Park Gun Tae

 

 

 

I first saw Park Gun Tae from a show called Warrior Baek Dong Soo, he played young Yeo Woon; Yoo Seung Ho’s character. I was thinking about putting him as Gaara  and have Ahn Do Kyu be Sasori but I thought he was better as Gaara. I don’t know too much about Sasori just like Sai since this particular character doesn’t appear till Shippuden. I haven’t seen much of  Shippuden  but I chose this guy to be Sasori because of his outer appearance and I  could totally see him as Sasori visually once he colors his hair red.
