Imaginary Cat, I’ve been looking forward to this drama to come out the moment I heard about it. This show stars my beloved Yoo Seung Ho as Hyun Jong Hyun and Boggil the cat’s real name is Beetle and is voiced by Han Ye Ri. I am not gonna write a whole list of characters because this is not gonna be a full blown review, I will do that once the show is over, but for now I will just jot down a few thoughts as I was watching episode one.
I didn’t look too forward to the love interest named Oh Na Woo played by Jo Hye Jung but she wasn’t bad at all. I was worried about their chemistry initially but it was rather okay. I still would ship only Park Eun Bin with Seung Ho. Jo Hye Jung didn’t appear that much on the first episode anyways but it was mostly Seung Ho and the cat. Also few of the side characters appeared here and there as well.
I love the interaction between Seung Ho and Boggil just like in the trailers and teasers. Sometimes, trailers and teasers don’t always live up to it and they kind of lead you on but with Imaginary Cat, it’s not like that at all.
I also got to hear Seung Ho talk in such a cute child like voice to Boggil. I was able to relate to that since I talk to my own cat that way, I do the whole baby talk to my cat and Seung Ho does the same thing with Boggil and I was able to identify with it.
One of the side characters that I was kinda glad to see was the bookstore manager that Hyun Jong Hyun (Yoo Seung Ho) works at and it’s because it was played by Park Chun Min. Park Chul Min was in Warrior Baek Dong Soo and also filmed Joeson Magician with Seung Ho…..
I am excited to see more episodes and there are 7 more episodes coming up. However, it’s sad since this show is pretty awesome looking but it’s rather short than most dramas I have seen. I have a feeling that I am gonna end up re-watching Imaginary Cat many times over.
